I It just shows you the kind of I had one idiot, one idiot turn around and say, "Your wife looks like she's drugged up." I mean, maybe it was because she was so ecstatic, but I'm like, "This is what you guys have got to realize. This is what you're dealing with. These are these unhappy people that don't have lives, and um you just have to laugh at them or block them." So, I was like, "All right, I am going to block you." So, I blocked him.

[00:03:10]And of course, he's probably going to go around telling everyone how he got blocked because that's what they do. Uh, and there was another one which is really peculiar. I just watched uh I just saw an ex is like, "How do you know your wife hasn't cheated on you?" I mean, what kind of a person says that on your anniversary?

[00:03:34]I didn't want to say it, but my wife has pretty much been constantly pregnant for the past um 20 years basically.

[00:03:42]So, um yeah, ridiculous notion anyway and and very rude and inappropriate, but um anyway, idiots.

[00:03:57]So anyways, what I wanted to talk to you about is what has happened recently in the media about this 250th celebration and the artists that were part of this 250th celebration and the fallout because a lot of them have said, "I'm done. I don't want to do this anymore."

[00:04:22]And of course, this is something that's particularly close to my heart because I am an artist. I've obviously acting and singing, although doing less of that now. Wonder why that is.

[00:04:38]But I was really shocked actually by the right by people on the right and I'm going to tell you why.

[00:05:08]But um we have some very very mean-spirited and nasty people on the right as well. And it just seems like I mean obviously I've experienced this as well. Um it's very much a I'm all right Jack attitude or when I'm on top I'm doing well and screw everybody else.

[00:05:34]So now one of the things that I noticed when they released the names are these like A-list people that go that would you know do a concert for Obama for example who it's kind of funny like the one woman McBride who said that she didn't want to do it anymore actually sang for Obama twice.

[00:06:02]All right, now we're there. I'm gonna show you something and this was incredibly dis disappointing for me. All right, so this is something that Matt Walsh said. What a mess. They invited a bunch of wash washed up has beans and now even the washed up has bebins are bailing on them.

So, they're like, "I don't care. I'm going to go and do this concert." Now, maybe they were making a little bit of money from it. I'm sure they were, which they should do, but calling them washed up has beans and it's so unkind.

You're whatever. This is the way they play their game. And we've got someone on our side doing the same to people on our side.

It's part of their religion.

If you think of the amount of people that carry firearms just in the state of Texas every day, it's concealed carry. Um if that was the case, then we'd be we'd have no population because everyone would be shooting each other.

[00:20:50]It's an issue of impulse control, punishment, and the way that people are educated about carrying knives. Uh I carry a knife most of the time. It's very useful. And it took me a long time to get to that because I was so conditioned in the UK to not carry a knife. Um so I think the wrong argument is being made here. The argument is no one should have knives including Sikhs.

[00:24:44]To get a role in a theater company is really, really hard. To get a lead role in a theater company is really hard. To get a role on a television show is really hard. To get a lead role on a television is very hard. To win an award for a television show is really hard. To get a movie is really hard. To get a lead role in a movie is really hard. All these things are are achievements that people kind of go, "Well, if you're not Tom Cruz, then you're a you're a complete mess. If you're not Tom Cruz, then you're a failure." That's ridiculous because that means everyone would be a failure.

[ __ ] You've seen when an average sized man goes up against and somebody who doesn't work out goes up against a fitness trained woman and they they can't compete because we're fundamentally two different bodies. We we we have different m muscle mass. We have different bone density. We have different strength. We just do.

Let's represent it like that.

[00:38:13]We have that ability and I would rather have it like that and have fewer people follow than idiots just come out and and you know want it one way. And I mean that on the right as well. I don't want someone who is resistant to having their I was literally talking about this today on the phone call.

[00:38:40]Um, part of the issue with the right right now is they are so fragile with the fear that they're being questioned, very defensive on the on the fact that their um intentions or morals or stances will be questioned. We are moving into the realm of the way the left is which is yell yell yell at the other person. We are seeing it. We are seeing it. It's the truth. I hate to tell you. It's like if you say one thing that they don't like about Trump and I'm a massive Trump fan, you get attacked.

[00:39:25]Maintained range. You're right. Like you disagree with me and and we all know that I'm right and you're wrong. So that's okay. You'll get there eventually.

[00:39:36]So, um, but no, I mean that's the way it goes around. We can have the discussion about things and say, "Well, you know what? Um, I've seen the light on that and you've made me see a different perspective, but you're certainly not going to you're not going to get that by yelling at each other and calling each other names or, you know, calling someone a has been is so shitty. I mean, I, you know, they can call me has been all they want. Like I said, my main priority in my life is my family.

[00:40:07]And yesterday I was I've been married for 21 years. And for someone who came from a broken home uh and I've got a bunch of kids, that is a massive victory for me. It's way more of a victory than me actually doing a movie.

[00:40:24]So um anyway, uh I'm going to talk about why I'm going to give you some bullet points because I like these. I like doing the bullet points.

[00:40:36]People think that the that all art leans left, right? Well, it kind of Thank you, Nate. It kind of does. It does lean left, but it's not inherently leftist.

[00:40:55]It's not inherently leftist. We have seeded the ground to the leftists so they can dominate it.

[00:41:07]Right? So, and it's a problem because the lefter it goes, the less you want your kids going into it, which is why I keep telling you guys, you have to back people like me who are Gen X that got into the industry be when you could get into the industry when it wasn't woke. I It's always been relatively like a little bit woke, but now it's like massively woke. And now there's no way I would have you send your kids to Hollywood again into the entertainment industry, which is really sad. But what we need is we need a a a group of people like myself, like Dean Kane, like Nick Cersei, people who have actually done something in the industry to actually curate and and help form the youngsters come through. Otherwise, it's just going to get worse and worse and worse, and that industry will collapse. But when it collapses, there's going to be nobody there to build it again because I'll be 70 years old and I'll be like, I don't give a [ __ ] anymore. I tried to tell you on the Matthew Marsen show. Tried to tell you and nobody listened and now you're going to get me in my wheelchair to come out of retirement. It's going to be hard.

[00:42:12]So, I'm going to give you a reason why I can tell you that art isn't inherently leftist. Well, for much of history, he it was conservative because it served religion. It's conserved empire, monarchy, and tradition.

[00:42:27]Right? Think about it like um sculptures showed the man right with a perfect body. Like look at David. You had the man who was physical, always strong with the art. If you go back and study art, what's really remarkable is if you study art, which I did two years ago, I went back and did a course on um on art like the progression of art, like going from um the Greco area uh era to into the Roman era and then through and from the Roman era out of that because the Greeks were the first ones to make these sculptures in action like doing action rather than just standing in there like that. They they did them so that they were like fighting lions or whatever.

[00:43:16]And then or fighting each other. And then you move into the Roman period and then you're going into what is essentially hundreds of years of Christian art, right? Like that's all it is. You see pictures of Jesus and Mary and you know, whatever. And that's pretty much um that's pretty much 500 years 600 young longer than that 900 years of history art history in the west is Christian art.

[00:43:57]So in the 19th and 20th century there's been a lot of uh you know reactionary strains to things moving to the left right like a lot of people saying you know that even the modernism had like conservative elements to it if you think about I mean even if you look at what um uh George Orwell wrote If you go around um if you go around the country and you look at the the great murals and whatever, what do they depict? The artwork will depict Civil War, um the Revolutionary War, you know, all these things. that there's a very um there's a up until World War II certainly there was a heavy kind of focus on patriotism and the country and beauty and truth. Uh and then the World War II changed things and then when you got into the 60s it was full-on counterculture and then it was just you know all combined with like the sexual revolution and what was going on around the world. Um and then the leftist ideologist started getting into these places like the museums, like the arts.

[00:45:23]It wasn't always like that. In fact, if you want to look back at um the biggest stars in the world after 1940, people like Jimmy Stewart, Charles Bronson, um uh oh, Bert Lancaster, uh uh John Wayne, uh the majority of these guys were conservatives. And even if they weren't conservatives, they would be called conservatives today. You know, former um army marines like uh Steve McQueen was a Marine or once a Marine or was a Marine, but you know, so this idea that acting and the arts were was always leftist, it's absolutely not.

[00:46:12]All right. So, I'm going to go through these 20 bullet points on why art is not primarily or inherently left-leaning.

[00:46:19]So, firstly, art served religious institutions. Like I said, if you look at the majority of art over the over the whole timeline of the world, you're looking at Egyptian tombs, Greek temples, medieval cathedrals, papal commissions. All these were rotated and based around religions.

[00:46:40]Whether you you know you're looking back at the Greek gods, it was still religion back then. And these things were inherently conservative because what were they all about? They were about serving somebody else. They were about adhering to certain kinds of rules. Um so they're inherently conservative.

[00:47:01]And when you get into the uh as I said the classical Greek and Roman uh sculptures, it was always heroic ideals like hierarchy, civil virtue, heroism, um all these things that we would say you'd never say that heroism was a leftist trait, would you?

[00:47:28]So you're looking at Barack Art celebrating power. A lot of it was a lot of it was because of the Catholic Church and a lot of it was anti-atholic church, but even the anti-atholic church stuff because you say the Catholic Church art was very conservative. It's all about Jesus and the the apostles and saints and whatever. And then the counter to that is still more Jesus apostles and saints, right? So it's pretty much the same thing but doing their own take on it. So then when you look at like Michelangelo, Benini, Rembrandt, Velasquez, you know, they all upheld tradition and religious orthodoxy, right? I mean, Michelangelo was commissioned by the Catholic Church.

[00:48:21]So then when you move into the 19th century, it was the the realism and um and history was painted.

[00:48:34]Um so should I say this again? When you're moving into the into the 19th century, a lot of the paintings were realistic, but they also reflected historical moments like the founding, right, in Independence Hall or, you know, those kind of things that promote more traditional family values as well. If you're looking at the Italian artists and and um you know even the more progressive ones, they were they were progressing trying different styles. They weren't trying to change someone's sexuality. They weren't trying to show a man as a woman. They weren't trying you know a lot of the times they I mean even if you look at someone like Doli Gabbana Doli and Gabana they got in they got a lot of criticism because they were for family values even though they're gay.

[00:49:32]It's I mean that was fascinating to me.

[00:49:34]I mean I always out of all the designers uh Dolce Gabbana I always used to have the Dolce Gabbana after shave. I've actually got a Dolce Gabbana belt. I got a I got some stuff from them and that but that to me was really amazing because as part of the gay community they turned around and said no the straight community and the family and whatever is is the norm and we should cater for that.

[00:49:55]And so even then you know you had people straining back against this kind of countercultural narrative. Um Norman Rockwell it's all about Americana right American life.

[00:50:09]I mean that is if you're going to talk about an artist that typified American culture, it would be Rockwell, wouldn't it?

[00:50:19]Andrew Wyth's realism focused on rural continuity and stoic endurance. I mean, these are things that we would say are conservative, right?

[00:50:35]Even if you look at let's look at it like this. If you go abroad, let's say you go to Germany, a lot of people come back from Germany with a cuckoo clock.

[00:50:48]And the cuckoo clock isn't a modern thing.

[00:50:52]They'll say, "No, I want a cooker clock." Because it means like what really is Germany or even in Switzerland. In Switzerland, what you go for? Watches. You go for watches. Why?

[00:51:02]Because it has a history. Because it's it's timeless.

[00:51:07]Why do you think people come here in Texas and they go to Fort Worth to watch the parade with the with the Longhorns?

[00:51:14]Because it's tradition. Because we understand. We love that. Do you see what I'm saying? People don't think about this.

[00:51:24]Dallas is for all intents and purposes, DFW is a modern uh city. There are more Fortune 500 companies in Dallas than I think anywhere else in the country. But when you think of Dallas, what do you think of? The cowboy, the traditional values of Texans.

[00:51:46]When you go to New York, all right, you might see the new skyscrapers, but you're like, I want to go and see the uh the Empire State Building. I want to see the history. We we know it. Like we we inherently clamber for traditional things. We want to go back. Why? Why?

[00:52:05]Why wouldn't we say, "I want to see the new the most advanced blah blah blah."

[00:52:09]Well, we don't really care so much about that if the truth be known. Like, if I said to you, "Hey guys, we're going on a trip to China. We're going to go to Beijing and we're going to see the most modern um soccer stadium in the world."

[00:52:24]You'd be like, "I don't give a [ __ ] Can we go and see the Forbidden City?"

[00:52:29]That's we we know that inherently. And to a degree that progression forward that has been forced by leftists is actually less natural than a an evolution of traditional values. Uh and when I say an evolution of that what I mean is it naturally um morphing it doesn't mean that it's an abandonment of it.

[00:52:58]Does that make sense? So if you're looking at So for example, if you're looking at what does it mean to be a family, what does that mean? Well, a progression would be a family is any group of people under one house, for example. A family can be two dads and a kid. Uh family, but the tradition is a family is a man and a woman with their children with grandparents.

[00:53:24]And traditionally the husband would stay would go to work and the woman would stay at home and look after the kids.

[00:53:32]And now there's been such a push away from that even in small little ways.

[00:53:42]Now people are coming back and they're saying didn't like that. And that is a morphing, right? The woman going off to work is a morph thing because it doesn't disrupt the family per se because it's still a man and a woman and it's still with kids for the most part, but the woman going off to work is a kind of morphing of that structure. It's not a departure from it. It's a morphing of it. And now people are going, "Okay, I can see what that looks like and I don't want it."

[00:54:12]You see what I'm saying?

[00:54:14]Again, there's a little bit of nuance in it. what what it isn't is let's live together and let's have kids out of wedlock and we can have an open relationship or what whatever it might be that every step every single step moves further and further away from what the original the original thing is and it's not always good and so like anything there can be a return to the norm um TS Elliott who was a modernist poet was explicitly conservative and traditionist So you can move forward in the style of what you do, but you can still retain those conservative traditional values within that.

[00:54:54]Um, and a lot of futurist modernists had right-wing or nationalist leadings leanings. And what I mean by that, I don't mean, you know, fascists, right?

[00:55:06]Because that's where the the fascists came in and co-opted them. But they were conservative and they were nationalist.

[00:55:12]There's nothing wrong with loving your country and being nationalistic. It's the bastardization of that. As I've said many, many times on this show, Hila Belock said the greatest heresies have an element of truth in them. So if you um if you take nationalism and you take being conservative together and then twist them and push them to be more extreme or adding some different elements to them, they be it becomes fascistic.

[00:55:43]Whereas on the other side, the leftists don't think you should be proud of your country. Think that everything should be out the window. That there's nothing traditional, that your your tradition means nothing. That we should be happy about bringing other cultures in, which is really weird because they celebrate every other culture and don't want to change their culture, but they want to change our culture. It's very weird.

[00:56:04]Like even when you're looking at this situation with the Seikhs coming in and carrying the the knives, right? That's a change to our culture because our culture is not allowed to have knives but they are allowed to have knives. So what you got to look there is are you impressing a culture on somebody else.

[00:56:24]Interesting.

[00:56:30]And so if you look at like this the other element of this is if you look at socialism and the fascist art right which were both state enforced right they are not classically liberal traditions or perspectives.

[00:56:47]So even though they'll say well you know uh the right isn't creative well actually the left isn't creative because in that instance because they're told what they have to do. You know what I mean? So actually a traditional conservative Christian response to that would be you go and create whatever art you want to. But a leftist view would be no, you have to create the art that I want you to create.

[00:57:22]I'm not going to go through all these 20 because um we've done a long time on this.

[00:57:31]But um art art can be used both by a church to show beauty. It can also be famously used by the Nazis as propaganda. It can be used but if I say to you Soviet uh era art, you immediately know that kind of like Leninist picture. It's almost it's you know the red. It's very you know uh like almost like the brutalist architecture.

[00:57:57]I don't know what the name of it is, but it's very like square, angular, you know. I know that Jordan Peterson had a bunch of that art all around his house.

[00:58:07]Um, but the the point is is we've abandoned art and so less people are going in it and the ones that do keep quiet because it's dominated by the left and that's how they want to make their money in that industry. So the way to do it is to shut up. And I don't see what the problem with that is honestly. It's their personal Okay, let me take that back. The problem I see is that they don't have an alternative, right? They have an they don't have an alternative. They can't leave and go and make their money anywhere else because the leftists control that industry.

[00:58:48]So where are they going to go?

[00:58:54]So, I don't have a problem with people saying this is how I'm earning my money.

[00:59:00]I got to keep my mouth shut. I'm sorry.

[00:59:03]We're not giving them an alternative, which is what I keep going on and on and on about.

[00:59:10]And again, I'll say like, subscribe, super chat members, uh, come over from X. I told you it took me forever and I was making a point is that people talk a good damn game by people clicking on my YouTube channel and subscribing.

If people have been paying attention since 2020, the battle has begun. It's for health, speech, freedom, education, peace. The struggles will be huge, but the war must be won.

[01:00:05]You're seeing it in the UK because the establishment is losing grip. They're losing grip because like anything if you keep pushing an extreme that has really no basis is in anything logical it's eventually going to collapse upon itself.

[01:00:23]Now that's going to happen eventually but it doesn't mean that there's not going to be a lot of hardship and pain when you're going through that. And the truth is a lot of Gen X like my age are like I don't want to go through this in my old age in my older age.

[01:00:45]Tough [ __ ] because you're going to get it one way or the other. It's either now or it's like in 10 20 years time. And I think that the the clear issue in the United Kingdom is the immigration. It's a it's a giant problem. And you are literally seeing people being killed in the streets every day and people are still tolerant of it. Like I I don't understand.

[01:01:15]And I'm just going to let me go through let me look at my super chats for a second and my Yeah, the UK is they're really worried because they're massively losing the narrative. But I will tell you this, I am totally not okay with all this like if you're not from England, you're out or if you are seek or Indian, then you've got to go. That's just wrong.

Of course, you shouldn't do it on mass, but people who come to the country and adopt the traditions and the and who love the UK, if you have a problem with love in the UK, you shouldn't be here there.

So if you have someone coming into the fine arts and doing a masters in fine art or left-leaning so what they're going to do is they're going to produce a lot more a higher percentage of left-leaning artists right uh same with the funding the funding grants pretty much go towards these social justice programs diversity progression you know all that kind of stuff that you know back in the day like when you look at the 1960s and the way you know around the civil rights era it was right it is rightly pushed towards um giving equal and fair treatment to African-Americans or blacks. You know, it's like I don't know why they call them African-Americans. Uh but um I just say black Americans because they're Americans and they just have a different color. I'd rather just say Americans. Uh but uh and then you're looking at the urban concentration.

[01:05:13]Actually, California was very very um conservative. People don't think so, but it was conservative. And what has happened now is the coast areas have pretty much been dominated wholly by leftists. And it's only until they're gonna we're going to get them out of there, which I don't know how we're going to do that. But that's why if you look on the coast, they're pretty much all liberal. Um and in the urban areas in the cities and whatever, um you have mainly leftists.

[01:05:45]So uh there is a high openness to experience. Like I said, there there is high openness to experience. That doesn't mean that it is um it correlates with creativity and with liberal views, but that doesn't mean that you like look, I'm very very creative, but I'm also very very conservative. So, it's not an absolute that just because you are open to different experiences that you necessarily are a leftist or you necessarily really good at art. that that's not necessarily true. Um, you know, the the leftist ideology is all about change and that can be that can be sexy, right? But when it's like, yeah, no, you can be whoever you want to be. You can be whatever sex you want to be. You can do this, you can do that.

[01:06:36]Then it starts going into silliness. And then that silliness is whe when it's put into an artistic context like a film, it's rejected because it's stupid.

[01:06:49]It it comes across as ridiculous. When you've got like a dude who is dressed as a woman, you're like, "That's clearly a dude dressed as a woman and they're trying to tell you that it's actually a woman. You should accept it." No.

[01:07:04]um the decline of religious and civic um patronage that once was conservative.

[01:07:10]Like if you want to go to um like I'm try if I try and get a movie off the ground, you go to conservatives. They just don't fund it. You're more likely to get the money from the liberals because they understand the importance of the influence of culture on politics.

[01:07:25]We don't and and we don't really recognize how important the culture is uh to the fabric of the United States and to the fabric of the United Kingdom.

[01:07:35]And what you're seeing right now is a lot of people in the United Kingdom are being told certain things on social media uh you know, oh the um uh the UK was uh oppressive, it was this, it was that. And you got nobody pushing back.

[01:07:51]There's nothing pushing back. Certainly not in the culture. And then you've got the BBC, which is state media, and all they're doing is apologizing for being white. That's all they do all day long.

[01:08:02]Um, in my opinion, um, and unfortunately in in the modern era, conservative movies and art have been terrible. So, a lot of people do not want to um hitch their wagon to that. They they're like, "No, I'm cool. I want to I want to do really good stuff and the good stuff is pretty much not conservative.

[01:08:29]And then as well if you start saying that I am um I'm a conservative that's immediately met with a barrage of you know even the word conservative means to conserve right and when you hear him say like progressive that means to progress.

[01:08:44]So a lot of the time you think well why do you want to keep holding back? Don't you want to move forward? because you're told in life we're always moving forward whether it's our age, whether it's the time. So to want to pull back is seen as a negative. Um but again, it's more like a morphing of the traditional elements that we should hold dear in our lives.

[01:09:06]It's like a morphing of that. And that doesn't mean that it it kind of like it means if you got a center like this mic, it goes a little bit like this, a little bit like that, a little bit like this, but you're still around a central theme and you don't move it too far, which is where we've gone. We've gone totally totally too far.

[01:09:25]Um, the other thing is is after World War II, the intellectual shift is like you're rewarded for being a radical.

[01:09:31]You're not rewarded. And and this is one of the conversations I had with um Matt Peterson when I said to him, "Matt, why is it, you know, when I see these courses, there are a bunch of like college courses and whatever, and when you start talking about um people who move the needle culturally in whatever group they're in, right? So if you're talking about it's more on a theoretical level like on a sociological level um people come up with these concepts and then normally their student changes that concept and they move away. So the guy might have it right and then the student might not have it right, but they still get pushed and they're still developing different things and then that student develops something different to this to the guy before him.

[01:10:23]And he said, well, they encourage you when you do a PhD to come up with something different, right? Instead of saying, okay, I'm going to comment on that thing and actually they got it right. But you are you are encouraged as a PhD student to come up with a new thesis to find something new. Well, if you're going to do a doctorate, then you're going to want to find something new. And that something new that you find might be partially true. But there's an element of you going, well, if I've got to make the argument, I've got to argue it. And even if I don't necessarily truly believe it, I'm making the argument. But that doesn't stop people from adopting that policy that you've been arguing for or that that theory that you've been arguing for. You see what I'm saying?

[01:11:06]So just in the nature of higher education, you're being pushed further to the left or pushed further away from something that might be true.

[01:11:17]And then you've got all the um the big companies, you know, they're terrified of offending anyone, so they keep pushing these narratives because they they have to be seen to be moving forward. And um and then you've got the the kind of culture that's been successful like the hip-hop culture um the rap music culture which has pushed you know a bunch of like debortched ideas onto the world and it's just you know like ripples in a lake. It just goes out when you throw a stone in and that's what's happened and we haven't counted it at all and that's part of the problem. Our idea of counterculture is Fox News.

[01:12:01]Well, that's it. Our idea of counterculture is God's Not Dead.

[01:12:07]And I love the guys who did that movie.

[01:12:09]I know them.

[01:12:11]But, you know, that's the kind of film that we should be making. And that's the kind of I don't that's the kind of movie we should be making. We should be making blockbuster films that are really entertaining. And then within Rambo for Ron Rambo, you know, it's all right. You might say that it was a leftist idea in the in the beginning, right? Because the guy comes back from um comes back from war and he goes to see his friend and his friend's dead already because of Agent Orange.

[01:12:46]Um, but there are everyone looks at Rambo and they say, you know, this is a reality. He might be anti-war because of what he's seen, but he's actually really good at it. And you know, people across the world were terrified of the United States military because we if there's one Rambo, imagine what you could do with 30,000 Ramos, you know, and it's kind of a tragic tale, isn't it?

[01:13:17]So, you know, but we need to make these kind of movies. I mean, even Blackhawk Down, you know, that that mission was a was a disaster. The first part of it was brilliant. you know, when Delta went in, snatched the guys and everything, the the Rangers went in, held the chalks, you know, came in and went to the four corners and then it just went to [ __ ] afterwards. But people loved it because it was about the values of the people involved in the fight and we're not doing anything like that right now and and people won't put money in you and they'll say, "No, well, if you can get Mark Wahberg to come and do it, I'll give you money." I'm like, "If I want Mark Wahberg to do it, then I'll go to the studios." Like I don't do you see what I'm saying? There's no investment in it and then we wonder why everything's skewed to the left. But my bigger point was is art is not inherently leftist. We've seeded that to the left. We've let people have that.

[01:14:12]And that comes after the greatest president in our era who was Ronald Reagan being a movie star. And then the second best president in our era, Donald Trump. is vying right for the top spot was a reality television show host and we still haven't figured out that we need to invest in the culture. It's so dumb.
