[00:00:07]One day I walk in and there's Vladimir working with palm leaves. Stripping them down, tying them to long panels used for roofing across the community. On the other side, Lena and I are preparing yuca to make tucupi and casabe. No one really tells you what to do. You just fall into the rhythm and slowly it starts to make sense. This is where they build what they need. This is where they prepare their food. And then you realize this place changes. At night, this is where they prepare mambe, a sacred blend of coca leaves and ash used by the men during ceremonies and for strength in the jungle. Maloca is where everything comes together.
