A masterful subversion of the "uncanny valley" that transforms existential dread into a clinical ritual of relaxation. It is a postmodern paradox where the terror of liminal spaces is meticulously tamed through the soothing lens of a medical exam.

BACKROOMS ENTITY EXPOSURE TEST | ASMR Cranial Nerve ExamAdded:
Hey, it's me, Shanny. Now, I know we're just getting started, but bear with me real quick. I want you to close your eyes. Do it. No peeking. And I want you to picture the last doctor you saw.
Was it a doctor you've been seeing your whole life and you're kind of stuck going to them because it's what you're used to and trying to find something new or dig up something new paralyzes you with fear?
Do you feel called out? Don't worry. I was in a similar situation. I kept going to the same doctor over and over again year after year because the idea of finding a new one in my small town seemed incredibly daunting. It doesn't have to be like that. I don't want you to settle and you shouldn't want to settle either. And with the help of today's video sponsor, Zachdoc, you shouldn't have to. Sockdoc is a free website that lets you search and compare highquality in-et network doctors all in one place. Over 150,000 healthcare providers across all 50 states that you can filter by location, availability, specialty, and more. Sock's website even has verified reviews from real patients so you can find the doctor that's right for you. From my own personal experience, using Zachdoc was easy and smooth. I needed to find a new primary doctor, one that I felt like actually listened and cared about what I was saying. So, I went to Zachdoc and I was able to filter by my location, which is a very small city. And it turns out there's actually quite a bit of doctors in my area. I went through and I read reviews to find the one that seemed best for me. And I was able to see the next availability and book all in one place.
It was super easy. Appointments can be booked within 24 to 72 hours. And you can even snag same day appointments when available. So, if you've been putting off an appointment or a checkup, or if the doctor you're seeing just doesn't feel quite right to you, head over to Zach and see just how easy it can be. I don't want you sitting around worrying about your health. I know what it's like to be going through things and having anxiety. So, it's time to put you first.
So, just click on the link in the description or go to zoddock.com/shanny to get started. Thanks to Zachdoc for partnering with us and helping us all to take better care of our health.
Hey, wake up. This is not the place to be taking a nap.
Can you see me? Yeah. All right. Good.
Good. Good. Just breathe, you know. Okay. But quieter. Yeah. In and out.
Good, good, good, good, good. No, this isn't a mirage or I mean, I guess I could see why you would think that. No, I've been sent to get you out of here.
Okay, just don't ask questions. Let me just take a look at you and assess the situation and we'll go from there. Okay.
Okay.
Of course. If you're not going to trust me, who are you going to trust? You've been wandering down here for what?
5 days now. Do you know how long it took for me and my team to find you?
My base. They sent me here. They've been monitoring your whereabouts and finally were able to get a coordinate on you and sent me to come and get you. Supposed to retrieve you and get out of here. Lucky for you, you clipped into level zero, which is my level.
So, unfortunately for me, I was assigned the duties of babysitting you.
But in due time.
Okay. Like I said, no questions right now. We have a lot to do. I got to patch you up real quick so we can get out of here.
Yeah. No, cell phones aren't going to work down here. GPS doesn't work down here. Compasses don't work down here.
However, me and my team have some devices we can use. So, here I am. We believe you've been in contact with some of our entities.
Yeah. So, I'm going to take a quick look at you.
Do a quick little exam. Make sure you're fit to move, which you better pray that you are.
And then we have to get out of here.
I work for ADF. That's enough questions for now.
You'll learn about them soon enough.
Real quick, you don't have any allergies to latex or anything, do you?
If I were you, I would really keep your voice down. Considering you've already seen at least one of the things out here, you think you would have figured that part out?
Okay, here.
Let's take a look at you.
Hold still here. Looks like you bumped your head pretty hard.
Stay with me. What' you say your name was?
You didn't. Well, what is your name?
Okay. And where are you from?
Right. Okay. So, at least you remember that. Are you having any sensitivity to light?
Anything that's above like ordinary. I know the fluorescent lights and humming can be like nails on a chalkboard. Are you experiencing like any other kind of like irritation?
Getting any headaches? Anything like that? Okay.
Hold still here.
You just keep breathing for me.
I know.
Good. Good. Good.
Great. Are you hurt anywhere else? Turn your head this way.
Okay.
Turn your head the other way.
Good.
Okay.
All right. Let me just look at the rest of you.
I mean, if you're embarrassed or shy, I don't have to, but heaven forbid you have another like wound somewhere else and you bleed out or worse infection.
Yeah. So, do you mind if I take a quick little pat down? Good. Good. Do you have any pain anywhere?
Any stiffness?
Good.
Did that hurt a bit?
It just looks like it's a bruise.
Nothing too bad.
All right. Are you feeling dizzy?
Okay. Can you smile really big? Good.
Round about your cheeks.
Just do it. Okay. Good. Can you move?
All right.
Well, then I'm going to clean up this wound real quick and then we'll do a quick little exam.
Okay, here we are.
If I were you, I would bite down on this.
Just uh trust me.
It's still here.
Yeah. Keep your voice down. Just keep biting that. Good. Just luckily for you, it's not too bad. It looks like you went to like hide. Yeah.
duck down and smacked your head. Got to be careful. I know when you're running it's kind of like But you don't want to give yourself a concussion down here. Trust me.
Especially if we're having a hard time locating you and you're left by yourself with a concussion. It's dangerous.
Let's get this all cleaned off here.
You need a proper bath, too. But unfortunately, we don't have time for that right now. But when we get back, I'll see that we can help you with that.
Still some gauze.
Put that right there. Good. Just make sure that it's in the right spot. Good.
Good.
And I'll just take that. You don't have to worry. There's not going to be any pain right now.
So, you should be done with that.
Still here while I wrap it. Okay.
Okay, just going to tie that tight here.
All right.
Does that feel okay? It's not too tight or anything.
Okay, good.
Here.
You're feeling nauseous.
Just uh puke in there. Okay, now let's get started here.
I'm Mara.
I work with ADF level zero. Yep. I'm in charge of here or what we call the lobby.
And seems you might have come in contact with some of my entities.
Well, then I have some questions for you.
Why don't I go ahead and start there so that way I know where to go with our exam. Yeah.
So, you said your name was okay. And you're from Really?
And how old are you?
Okay.
And you're sure of that?
I just have to ask. Okay.
And what is the date and year where you're from?
You'd be surprised.
It's a serious question.
Okay.
And how long have you been here?
Right. To us, it's been 5 days, but to you, okay, time moves differently here. You'll learn that soon enough.
And do you have any family, siblings?
Were you with anyone when you know clipped in?
You know, show up here.
What were you doing when you clipped?
And how were you feeling when you know clipped dead?
Well, we're trying to figure out what causes it. So, these questions are of the utmost importance.
Since you've been here, have you eaten or drank anything?
Okay. You haven't found anything?
Okay. And have you seen anything?
Well, besides the yellow room, it is ever changing. So, um, it wouldn't surprise me if you don't remember where you're at, but did you see any like creatures, if you will.
Okay. Perhaps some pictures will help. I know you've been down here a while, but if you can do your best because depending on what you come in contact with or what helped you cause that little bump on your head, it'll determine how I treat you. Okay.
Sorry, I keep trying to keep my voice down just in case.
No, I wouldn't worry if I were you. Uh, level zero tends to be pretty calm, but there are still some entities here that we have to deal with. Okay. Okay.
So, as I said, we're currently on the Yeah. level zero.
There's many levels.
Many, many levels. Lucky for you, this is the one you came to. Um, but yeah, it's known as the lobby.
and ADF. Uh we believe that we can live harmoniously with the entities throughout all of these different levels. So we research and we learn more about them. That's where you're going to come in handy as well. So let's go over some of these, shall we?
Tell me currently, like I said, we're on level zero. However, did you see a creature that looked like this?
Before you say yes, perhaps I should go through all of them because some of them look a little similar. But this is known as a dollar.
Okay. Typically, you'd see this one on the garage level, but it's located in all of the lower levels, which we're in right now. It's dark gray humanoid and there's like no face or ears as you can see and it runs away and so it's typically like it is hostile to humans. However, it's scared. So if you stare at it or like approach it like run at it, it typically will run away. So, how it gets its victims is it waits for you to be on an opposite wall. So, like if you're on this side, it'll be on the wall separating you and it'll no clip through and grab its victims. So, as long as you keep eye contact on it and you run towards it, it should run away and leave you alone. Okay.
It also doesn't like almond water. Have you had any almond water since you've been here?
You haven't found any? Okay. I do have some with me. Just again depending on what you've experienced is I'll give it to you or I won't. We'll get into that though. So, this is a dollar.
The other ones that are known down here a lot are the dead moths.
It's pretty much self-explanatory.
They're very large moths. They have about a 1.5 meter wingspan.
Very big. And they like to keep large nests or hives. And if they grab you, they will take you back to their hive.
And unfortunately, there's probably not much saving you. So, I'm guessing you didn't see one of these. And you would know cuz you would hear their like insect humming as you get closer buzzing.
However, the males do like almond water.
So, if you're carrying almond water on you, you want to make sure the lid is tightly sealed because it attracts them and they're more dangerous than the females. Yeah. So, they're located on the lower levels, too, and kind of throughout. But thankfully, I don't think you saw one of those.
This is a hound. It's exactly as it looks. It's a humanoid kind of like canine figure. You'll know it from its humanoid face, but it walks on all fours like a canine. And it has long black hair. Now, they are very hostile and they will maul or attack anyone that they see. However, they don't like eye contact. So, if you maintain eye contact, you might have a chance of backing away and getting out of there. However, that only lasts for so long. So, you don't want to just stare at it and not try to get away because eventually it'll just come at you anyway.
Now, if they're very aggressive and if you hear any other ones besides just one, just get out of there. They work better in a pack. Okay, you didn't see this, did you?
Okay, just trying to make you aware of what's out there in case you encounter anything else. Like I said, most of these creatures I'm showing you hang out on lower levels or level zero, but you can see them other places as well.
Oh, I don't know how we're getting you back just yet. That's something we're still working on. So, you might just have to work with us for a bit until we figure that out. Okay.
So, let's continue on so you know what you're getting used to. Now, this one, this one's known by many names.
I thought this is what you saw. This is most common on the lower level or level zero. This is Bacteria, also known as a howler and also known as cableman.
As you can see, it's like a humanoid figure made out of like metal cables or stuff like that. And it is it's pretty aggressive. Um, it will approach you. It does mimic human noises or animal noises to try to lure out its victims. So, you'll be walking Exactly. So, you heard thust in you.
Mhm. And then it'll come running at you, but you can hide from it. Is that how you hit your head? You think so?
Are you having some hard time remembering? It'll come back and then you can let me know. But it also exudes a very bad stench. Yeah. Kind of lingers in the nose. Do you remember that?
Okay.
Well, that's this one. This is called a faceling. These are typically docile.
They don't like to approach humans often. They kind of keep their own distance. As you can see, they're humanoid, but they lack any facial features, and they kind of, like I said, mind their own business. So, this one is a ratch. So, they're kind of like an undead zombie. We've been trying to do more research on them. You didn't see this one, did you? Because I would have a lot of questions.
No, it's probably for your best that you didn't because they're very aggressive.
We still don't know how they really transform, but we think that they're humans that either lacking food, water, sleep, and then slowly they transform.
But it's a process we still are learning.
If you see them, it's best to avoid them. Um, we do have some antidotes we're working on, but like I said, they're extremely aggressive. So, Sret, these are smilers. Now, these are extremely hostile. They're known for their reflective eyes and teeth, and they like to hang out in dark places. So, as long as you're in the light, you should be good. They do affect your sanity a bit. So, um, we do have, like I said, some medicinal almond water. It's good to drink that. Keeps them away. Um, but watch out for these.
Always keep it a light source on you. If you have like a flashlight, it can help.
Okay. Okay.
And this is a skin walker or skin stealer. It's a large humanoid entity.
It wears the skin of its victims. It disguises itself in the skin of the victim and then walks around. It eats human flesh. As you can imagine, this one you really want to avoid.
Uh, they do mimic human speech like the other monsters, except they do it a lot better where they actually do sound human. You can tell it's a skin stealer though because they have a limited vocabulary.
So, if their sentences sound like broken or um you notice they have clear blood, just kill it or get out of there. Okay.
Yeah. So, sounds to me though like you saw a bacteria or howler or cable man. Yeah. So, here's almond water for you.
Okay. I had to drink some of it. I encountered my own problems along the way. Okay.
Sue me. But I saved some for you because I'm a good doctor. Thank you. And I just want you to drink some of this to help heal you and your sanity. Okay?
I don't need you attracting any other creatures down here.
So, here, drink up.
You're going to want to drink all here.
You know what? You take it. You're going to want to drink all of it. Okay?
Now, that should help you here. I'm going to write that down in my files here.
If that's all you saw, you should be able to come back to ADF with me.
However, I am going to run a quick exam on you. Like I said, I'm not too worried. This whole area is pretty relaxed. But Yeah, it's a lot to take in. Just breathe in through your nose through your mouth. Good. Good. Good.
Good. In. And out. You're doing great.
Again, try not to worry. We don't want to draw attention to ourselves. Just drink drink the almond water. Good.
Good.
Get down.
Yeah. I didn't come here. I must have heard your pantic. Like I said, keep it down. We're generally pretty safe down here as long as you stay calm.
Breathe.
Good. Now, like I said, I'm going to do our best to get us out of here quickly. Now, I do have to examine you just to make sure you're safe to move. You may not think you have a concussion, but you very well can. And I need to take care of it.
Okay. So, we're going to do some quick exams.
First, we should start with your finals.
I have to get your temperature here.
I need to to make sure you didn't get an infection or you're not carrying anything back to base.
Okay. Well, if you won't let me take your temperature that way, I can always stick it up your N. I thought you changed your mind. Okay. So, hold still here. Just going to scan your forehead.
One, two, three, four, five. Okay.
All right. Good. 98.7. So, you're in the clear there.
Now, let's get your heart rate. Don't worry, I'm going to account for the fact that it's probably high right now.
put this on your finger. Good. Turn this on.
And while that is going on, I'm going to listen to your heart and lungs.
Well, yeah, I am carrying a lot on me.
That's why we wear these lab coats. Lots of pockets. You just keep pulling stuff out. You'd be surprised. Now, here I'll try to warm it up for you.
Now, hold still and just breathe.
In.
Out. Good. Good. Good. Good. Good. In.
Out.
In.
Out.
Keep that going. Good.
All right. Your lungs sound good, which is good sign. Means you don't have any fluid or anything on there. You're not probably undergoing a severe infection, which can happen with some of the entities down here. Nothing Don't worry about it. Okay, let me take that from you. But okay, as expected, your heart rate's a little high, but nothing out of the ordinary or anything that you have to worry about.
Like I said, if you can just keep focusing on your breathing, we kind of want to lower that if we can. Okay?
You'd be surprised how many like entities can hear that.
Okay? Listen, I'm not trying to scare you. I'm trying to help you. Wooa. Wooa.
Go ahead. Okay. Now, I'm just gonna get your blood pressure.
Yeah, that one was on me. That one was a little loud. Sorry. I have to I have to Okay, I'm just going to put this around your corner here. We'll be quick.
You know, the more you like listen to me, the faster this can go. Yeah.
See, that wasn't so bad, was it? Okay.
All right. Again, as expected, your blood pressure is a little high, but nothing too bad. It's like 127 over 86.
So, let me write those down here.
We'll get better vitals back at headquarters, but for now this will do.
I'm going to take a quick look into your eyes with this pen light. Okay, I want you to just keep your head, neck, and shoulders still for me. Follow this light with your eyes only. Okay, here we go.
Just follow the light with your eyes only. Good.
Good. Don't look away. Don't look away.
Just keep following the light.
Okay, good. Stop. You didn't have any issues or anything following that light, did you? Okay. No uncomfortness or Yeah. All good. Good. I'm going to look in each eye here. Just hold still. Look forward for me. Good.
All right. Go ahead and go here.
Use my little tongue depressor. Go ahead and open up your mouth. What? Do you have a bad cat reflex? Don't worry, it happens to the best of us. Just open up.
Stick out your tongue for me. Good.
Sorry, it was a little funny, but good.
Everything looks good.
Let's see here.
I'm going to hold up my hands right here. I'm going to hold up some numbers and I want you to just say how many numbers I'm holding up. Look right here at my nose. The goal is to use your peripherals. Okay.
Must you be so aggressive? I'm just trying to see if you're good to move.
Okay. And that you don't have a concussion or blurry vision.
Okay. I'm trying to help you. I'm a friend.
No, you would know if I was one of those creatures. Okay. I probably would have killed you by now.
Yeah. No, everything's good. Okay, you can trust me.
Okay, here we go.
Four, five, two, one, three, five, four, two, one, one. Good. Okay, that's good. There.
Let me just There it is.
Take a quick look into your ears. Okay.
Hold still here while I just look.
Okay. And are you hearing okay on this side?
You're not having any like tunnel hearing or anything, are you? Trust me, you would know what it is. It's like makes everything so far away.
Okay.
Everything looks good, though. When's the last time you cleaned your ears?
Yeah. Check this side.
I E. This side, too. Sorry. It's not very professional, but it's pretty gross. All right. You're hearing okay on that side.
Not totally hearing. Nothing like impacting it. Okay. Good. Good. Good.
Good. Good. Good.
All right. Look right here. I'm just going to take another look into your eyes.
Okay.
Check the other side.
Okay, good.
I'm going to have you test your sense of smell real quick.
I have some different scents here. I'm going to spray them on a tongue depressor. Hold it up to your nose and you tell me what you smell. Okay.
Just trust me. I'm running a little cranial nerve exam on you to make sure you're fit. Okay.
Well, you just do it. Okay. Good. Here we go.
Go. Close your eyes. Deep breath in.
Good. Tell me what you smell.
Close.
Try again.
It is kind of It's mild. Mhm. Milo.
Let's do another one here.
Close your eyes.
Does this one smell like Think about it for a minute. Let it ruminate.
Tell me what you think you smell.
This one's almond water. Yeah. So, I'll take that. That was close enough. Okay.
Last one.
Okay.
Are you ready? There you go.
Yeah.
The stench of a bacteria owl or cable man. Good. So, you probably did see one of those if you knew what it was. See?
And you doubted me.
No, don't panic. It's not around yet. I was just testing trying to jog your memory. See if that's what you encountered cuz that's what we were guessing you encountered. Yeah, it's okay. It's stinky, but you're good.
Yeah, it's kind of like essence. Plus, with that said, kind like lingering in the air now, it should deter any of them from approaching. They are kind of like solo tool animals, you know, if you could call them an animal. Like I said, they're an entity and they like to hang out alone. So, don't worry. Anything that should deter them. Okay. Now, let's keep going here. I have some different scents that I'm going to drop on your tongue and you're going to tell me what you taste. Okay. Okay. It's like essential oils kind of.
Go ahead and close your eyes. Open up your mouth. Stick out your dog. One, two, three.
And tell me what it is that you taste.
No, it's not almond. Oh, do you think it's almond water? because you've been drinking almond water. Yeah, really think about it.
It's a little bitter coffee. Yeah. Let's do another one here.
What's wrong with my tie? Do you like it? No. We wear the color tie that matches our level. I'm level zero, obviously.
Are you really not getting it? It's yellow. I'm yellow. Yellow. No, I thought it made perfect sense. I was the one who recommended it. You know, this is beside the point. Yellow dye, yellow walls, level zero. No, let's just get this over with.
By the time we leave here, my hair's going to be gray. Yes, I am.
Go ahead and stick out your tongue. Two, three, and tell me what it is that you taste.
That one is strawberry. Good. Last one.
And one, two, three.
Mint, I guess. Okay.
Well, then it's good so far. Almost done.
Okay. Passed the sight, smell, and taste portions.
Okay, let's do your sense of touch and then we'll do hearing.
You already passed some of the sense of touch because I had you smile and stuff earlier, but I'm going to take my two fingers, but I'm right here. Going to take this and just whack it and test your reflexes.
Okay.
Hey, hold still here.
Two, three. Yes, this works better if you're not talking. Okay. One, two, three. Good. And let me test your knees here. One, two, three. Good. Good. One, two.
Okay.
And open this up here.
and grab one of these Q-tips.
Now, if you can close your eyes for me, I'm just going to touch different parts of your face and I just want you to tell me if you can feel it. Okay.
Okay. And just tell me which part of your face I'm touching.
Good. Okay. Hold still.
Good. Forehead.
Cheek. Good.
Cheek good.
Chin good.
Nose good.
Cheek.
Cheek.
Nose.
Chin. Forehead.
Lips. Good job. Okay, you can open your eyes for me.
Now, I have these tuning forks. I'm just going to whack them. Hold them up to your ear and you tell me when they stop.
Okay, here we go.
Oh sh Don't be so scared. We deduce that these frequencies won't affect the entities. Okay, come on.
Okay, good.
I have the next one here.
Great.
And now lastly, I'm just going to whisper some numbers into your ears, one through 100. And I just want you to tell me what I say. Okay, this is a real medical test. Okay, just bear with me.
Here we go.
74 92 13 43 2 6 7 6 7 I don't know someone clipped in here doing that and now it's stuck in my head all the time. Okay, isn't that cool? 67.
Oh, no one does that where you're from.
Must have been a different year. I'll have to look into that. Anyway, we got to hurry up now.
That should be good. So, I think I should just get a sample from you real quick just to make sure that um well, just to make sure that you're not carrying any like pathogens back with you.
Hold still here. I have another wipe.
I'm just going to get this out and I'm going to give you a shot as well. It's um Yeah, it is to make sure that you start to build up an immunity to different things located in the levels. Okay.
Yeah.
So, hold still here.
Yeah. more or less like a vaccine.
Now, I'm just going to clean up a spot right here on your neck.
Good.
Get that all cleaned off here. Just hold still. I'll do both right here in your back.
Easiest pain for me to find now.
Hold still here while I just grab the sample.
You're not afraid of needles, are you?
Okay, good. Three. Two.
Didn't give me time to think.
And that should be enough.
Okay.
I didn't need a lot of blood. Just enough to test that you aren't carrying any diseases back to base. Okay, that'll be good.
Now, one for the vaccine.
Let's get this on here.
still here. Ready?
Three, two, one.
See, that's not so bad, though. You might feel a slight burning. Sorry if I told you you wouldn't have gotten it.
You need it in order to survive.
Just trust me. I mean, who else are you going to trust? I want what's best for you and for the company.
Nothing. It'll go away. It'll go away.
Just breathe. Good. Good. Breathe. Good.
You're doing great.
So, until we get back, we have to travel through some other levels here. And since you haven't built up an immunity yet, I'm going to have you wear this gas mask. I've been here a long time. I'm okay. But you need to put this on. So, put that on. Good. And I have a flashlight to keep us safe. So, when you're ready, we really got to get We really got to get out of here. Are you ready? All right. Don't worry. I got everything in my pockets. I told you.
Big pockets, lots of space. Follow me, but keep your voice down. Okay.
