On May 14th aboard Norwegian Luna, in service just two months, ceiling panels fell inside the Local Bar and Grill on Deck 8 while guests were mid-meal. One passenger called it the scariest experience of her life. Her instinct was to run. Her fiance stayed to hold the panels and help passengers trapped underneath.

[00:00:29]Guests and crew gathered around the wreckage in what is supposed to be the ship's 24-hour dining venue. Norwegian confirmed a small number of guests were treated for minor injuries. The area was closed for repairs. No word on compensation. Norwegian Luna is the second Prima Plus Class ship in the fleet. She debuted in Miami on March 27th, 2026, less than two months in service.
