Labour cuts VAT to save families money this summer

[00:00:01]I want to tell you about Labour's [music] Great British Summer Savings.

[00:00:05]When I speak to families in Barking and Dagenham, you tell [music] me the cost of living is still a really big worry for you. There's very little money left at the end of the month, [music] and too often families just can't afford to do the things that we should all be able to do, like days out with the kids. And that's exactly [music] why earlier today, here in Parliament, the government announced that we'll be cutting VAT [music] on summer activities, so that they're more affordable for everyone. That includes things [music] like theme parks, cinema, theater, and concert tickets, and children's meals. All cheaper.

[00:00:40]Everyone deserves a day [music] out with their families without the anxiety of how much it's all going to cost. And so, I'm really [music] pleased that this initiative by Labour is going to help thousands of families in Barking and Dagenham.
