This video demonstrates how to identify an anterior ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) on ECG by recognizing ST elevation across leads V1-V6, which indicates LAD artery occlusion, and outlines the immediate management protocol including aspirin loading (300mg), antiplatelet therapy, analgesia with IV morphine, antiemetics, and urgent catheterization for possible stent insertion.

ECG Spotter - Myocardial Infarction #doctor #medicine #medicalstudentAdded:
Have a look at this ECG. What's the most obvious abnormality? In this ECG, there's obvious ST elevation in leads V1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. Some reciprocal ST changes in lead 3, most likely from an LAD occlusion. This patient needs to be loaded with 300 mg of crushed aspirin alongside a second antiplatelet agent.
They need adequate analgesia, usually with IV morphine and antiemetic alongside that. They will need urgent transfer to a catheter lab for possible stent insertion.
