Sweet Emotion (Lesson) - Aerosmith
Added:Hey, y'all.
Hey, how about Sweet Emotion?
Every guitar player is going to have some reason to play this at some point in their guitar playing life.
>> [music] >> If you're lucky.
Uh so, during the intro, it's uh doing its thing with the talk box.
>> [music] >> It's doing all that stuff.
Uh and then it comes in and then uh sweet emotion, they're singing it, right? Still no guitar except for the talk box thing.
And then uh I think at the very end before it goes into >> [music] >> I think before that, one uh at the tail end of the intro, I think the guitar does do >> [music] >> just to start it.
So, that's on A5.
>> [music] >> And four.
To A.
>> [music] >> A3.
>> [music] >> To G.
>> [music] >> And then >> [music] >> AG.
>> [music] >> DA.
>> [music] [music] [music] >> Do that for 5 minutes if you've never played this riff.
And then >> [music] >> on the A35 to the A note.
G uh A E string at five.
>> [music] >> Then walk it up from two >> [music] >> three >> [music] [music] >> at the end, the last >> [music] >> walks it up sort of slow.
>> [music] [music] [music] [music] >> I'd probably do the second time through, I'd probably do the harmony line.
>> [music] >> Instead >> [music] >> D75 to A at seven.
And then walk it up again starting at four. [music] >> [music] >> And then you're back in the >> [music] >> You're back into the the little bass break in the middle, but I think this guitar does >> [music] [music] [music] [music] >> I think I'm hearing something like that in there.
>> [music] [music] >> Into the last verse. So, D and G open and then at two.
>> [music] >> 012 on G and then the same thing on D.
>> [music] [music] [music] >> And I think he does it again going into it.
>> [music] [music] >> Last time through.
>> [music] [music] >> This is near the outro.
>> [music] >> Exactly it goes >> [music] >> on F sharp.
>> [music] >> And then bend it up.
And I think that's what this rhythm guitar does for the outro. I think it does it >> [music] >> So, instead of the the throughout the whole song, that riff is done the bass riff is done on A.
>> [music] >> I'm just playing a guitar version of it.
But then on the outro, I think it goes >> [music] [music] >> That's a low E and then on A D E.
>> [music] >> Five.
>> [music] >> Four.
>> [music] [music] >> And then E.
I don't know if it's Joe who did the solo. Some studio guy. I don't know if Joe did that solo. There was a time when they had the guns like us coming in and do solos.
>> [music] >> I think this guitar is going out on that.
Good luck.
