Black Male Research: PhD Students Facing Alienation

[00:00:00]Now, now, I'll say this first before I bring this up. One area where I've seen this taking place and I've shared this with people on on my show for the last since 2018.

[00:00:08]I have sat on so many PhD committees I've lost track.

[00:00:12]And most of them are young men that I've never met before in person.

[00:00:17]Um they've reached out to me from institutions I've never been to.

[00:00:21]And I mean, it's not abnormal to sit on a committee, you know, as a fact as a a professor, but I'm I'm telling you it's been such a regular thing because what what's happening is these men have found themselves completely alienated as graduate students in their programs. And some of them on the verge of being kicked out simply because they want to focus their research on black males.
