A sobering intersection of influencer culture and neuropharmacology that strips away the glamour of prescription performance-enhancers. It effectively turns a public health crisis into a vital lesson on the biological fragility of the modern mind.

Clavicular on Passing from Suspected Overdose During Livestream (Part 6)Added:
Well, in April 14th of this year you're on stream and then you collapsed in the middle of the stream.
When did you last have a drink?
Uh later on the news came out that it was an overdose.
Um yeah, that that was what it was it was called but it was really just me just passing out just you know same as I'm sure people do all the time at bars from uh ingesting alcohol. So yeah, a bit of an an overreaction uh media wise and you know it being on live stream certainly makes it a a little bit more uh of a a spotlight. Mhm. But you know, I I was completely completely fine. I was you know went and had the grand opening for my club a few hours later. So I mean uh it was a you know not as bad as as people portrayed it.
Well, you talked about taking Adderall before. Yeah. And uh probably pronouncing it wrong uh pregabalin? Mhm.
Which is a a stimulant? No. No.
No. Um so that that's an interesting one.
It's it's more of like an anti-anxiety thing. Uh you know, and both of which I have a prescription for. So yeah, Adderall's a stimulant that it you know, is is Dex- dextroamphetamine. Just helps with productivity and staying focused on work. I have ADHD, so it's just something that you I'll I'll utilize for that context. And the pregabalin blocks a neurotransmitter, one of the excitatory ones called glutamate, which is largely responsible for your anxiety.
So, um pregabalin could make you lower in ambition.
But, you know, you eventually can start to get dependency to stimulants and to other pharmaceuticals like that. So, you know, I advise against people taking Adderall, even though it's one of the most prescribed drugs.
Um yeah, don't don't take Adderall, don't take stimulants. I see, you know, people making that assumption all the time that like, "Oh, you know, you you support or you recommend this, that."
It's like, "No, I I never have and I never will because I'm someone who understands these things really well. I understand the pharmacology behind it.
So, it'd be completely ridiculous to suggest that I in some way advocate for this." So, are these all prescribed medications for your ADHD and so forth? But, even with that, you can get addicted and there is long-term problems that people have in terms of that.
>> Right, because you're, you know, you're kind of just like dysregulating your dopamine system entirely by taking stimulants like that.
So, it does build a somewhat of a dependency where your baseline starts to diminish and you, you know, you require these stimulants to have the same energy levels and, you know, mental capacity as you otherwise would.
