Rosenberg show.
>> You should >> I didn't Oh, I don't understand what Why Why do parking garages change, guys? You've got one guy.
>> You're in business.
>> Maybe he went on uh vacation.
>> I don't know. I had a thought yesterday about the parking guy that we're currently uh using over the last couple weeks. And my thought was this parking garage is kind of small and the guy that we used to have was so great that they took him and they put him somewhere where they really needed help. And then they left us with someone who was just not good.
>> I slow and bad customer service like purposefully bad customer service. He he he's today.
He just was I asked I said, "I'm in a rush, sir. Do you mind just giving me the ticket?" He looked at me straight.
He was like, "No, >> no, >> no." He wouldn't r I'm going to take my time. I'm going slowly walk over. I'm going to look at per I'm going to peruse your car.
>> Uhhuh.
>> And then I'm going to come right. He's always writing things down. Maybe that's why they got rid of our guy, though.
Maybe he was like cutting corners and skipping some of the things.
>> Maybe. And they were like, "You know what?
>> But but this is this change is problematic. Our life has been negatively. slow down. It >> It definitely negatively impacts our morning.
>> Uh but you know what? We're still here and Rosenberg is still on time.
>> I The streak is alive. Uh you don't have her You don't have Laura. I feel like Laura's too far over. She her stuff's all in Ebro's shot right now.
>> I don't I don't like You're getting closer by by the time the show ends, you're going to be on Ebro's lap.
>> Listen, I am I am listening to directions from our team. Okay.
>> All she does is listen to Ron Baskin.
Ron, Ron, you sure she shouldn't be a little fur? Like every time if she's on her if she has a text, it's in Ebro's shot.
>> Well, you know, he's the Steven Spielberg of You know what I mean? This guy right here, he's on point.
Everything.
>> I'm surprised you just hands right here.
>> That's what I'm seeing in every shot.
>> I've been here the whole time.
>> I don't care. I don't care what Ron says. You should move down at least a little bit.
>> Okay.
>> Now, stop now. Stop right there.
>> See?
>> Now, let me see my shot >> now. Her chair. See?
>> See? Look. Look at my chair.
>> See? You should have listened to Ron Baskin.
>> We should then what did we do setting this up?
>> Oh my god.
>> So it's it's either cuz we didn't always have this.
>> I've been here. You just noticed it.
I've been here sometimes.
>> Your hand's not always an Ero shot.
>> It might be. I haven't looked enough.
>> I'll go on.
>> Okay. Maybe >> you know something, bro. Come on.
>> I do for a fact. I know. Don't see that.
I pay attention.
>> All right. I'll see you here.
>> I'm part of the quality control up here.
Yo, ladies and gentlemen, 844 ELR ELR3.
The phone lines are open. Whatever you want to talk about. Um, the big story in the overnight, um, Loris got in the rundown. Well, yesterday, I guess it was not overnight, but yesterday, was the peculiar disappearance of Kendrick Lamar's music from some streaming services.
>> Um, that sent the the internet into a tizzy.
>> Oh my god. Tin heads everywhere.
Everyone.
>> So, I guess it's I guess it's just not bots listening to that. People noticed that the music was gone. That means somebody went to listen to it and noticed that it was gone. That's how that works.
>> I'm surprised it wasn't it wasn't Ira who noticed. The king of GNX.
>> I love that. I'm surprised.
>> Play some Kendrick Lamar.
>> So So do you have any insight?
>> Well, we got to get into the rundown.
>> Chilling out. Sorry. And honestly, well, not bury the lead.
>> Chill out.
>> All right. All right.
>> Um and then there's And then there's also who's who Drake's coming for on Ice Man also in the rundown, right, Laura St? I have that, too. I have These are the the rumors that are coming out right now.
>> Oh, these the Charlemagne rumors that were dropped yesterday. I I I I can't wait for the rundown. I'm excited for the rundown today cuz I have I need questions.
>> Oh, I love it. Well, do you have an answer for this since we're talking about music? Clip 13, please. Basking.
>> Oh my god. What is it?
>> Shouldn't you do >> It's been a long time. I shouldn't have left you without >> This is Brook Hogan.
>> What would you do to get to me? What would you say?
>> Why?
>> Now, the the caption says Brooke Hogan has a new song coming out.
>> That means people don't even know that it's it's a cover.
>> That's why those are my questions. Like, is she just playing around? I wanted I love the Aaliyah song. I'm just going to put out a cover. Yeah. I mean that is possible, right? Like you're you're you know I I love the song. I'm going to do one.
>> Why would you choose to do that though?
Like >> I mean people listen people cover songs 20 years old ain't it?
>> Yeah. I mean it's an old enough song if you want to cover it.
>> Why why wouldn't someone want to now Brook Hogan covering it is adds another layer. Like I didn't know she was an artist.
>> Oh you didn't? Oh that's how she was like first out.
>> Got it.
>> Was artist was like kind like I don't know. She maybe had like one joint that kind of moved a little bit but it wasn't. Well, then this is great promo for you then, cuz guess what? Now I know you're an artist, and I'm sure other people do, too.
>> What was the commentary like, Laura Styles?
>> Roast and toast. They were like, "Why would you even touch this? Why would you do this to us? We don't want this."
>> Well, this is because it's Brook Hogan, though, right? I mean, or No, you know what?
People are >> This is Aliyah, too.
>> I know, but but like people I'm sorry, guys. People are Listen, you may not want it to be Brook Hogan, but people are allowed to cover Aaliyah. In fact, great artists, they make money when people cover them.
>> Yeah.
>> I mean, no one's going to make money off this one, unfortunately. But you see what I'm saying?
>> In theory, well, in theory, it would bring interest to the original and whoever owns the publish get paid.
>> So, like back in the day, that was done all the time. I mean, I was listening to be this weekend. Beyonce's got multiple covers underneath.
>> It's Beyonce.
>> Well, it's not broken.
>> That's right.
>> But, but like I mean, you could have had Beatles fans, maybe there were, who were like, "How dare you do Blackbird? It's sacred." I'm sure >> music's not sacred though, bro. Music music gets covered and it and and it can be good for the artist. Again, the problem here is >> Brook Hogan and Aaliyah.
>> Yeah. I don't think people are well and and Hulkster didn't help Brook's brand in any way.
>> Well, and I think >> they didn't speak like they weren't even talking.
>> Then there's also I think when somebody does a cover, it's kind of like did you do it better?
>> Cuz that can happen. Like I've seen that happen with reputable artists, right?
Who have a good reputation, they decide they want to cover something and they >> they take it anywhere. they a didn't take it anywhere or it was worse than the original and then people are mad that it's like why did you desecrate this >> record if you're going to do something >> you got to do something if you ain't like play that again for us >> why why you doing this >> cuz I want to hear it one more time I want to hear >> you don't even hear the vocal What is that different in different so I'm not hearing that.
>> And then you hear it like kicks into the actual kind of vibe.
>> That's the original >> and she sounds literally like she's mimicking Alon that >> and sounds worse. It's I think that's the problem here. You're not doing the song justice.
>> Listen, I can't comment on 5 seconds.
Who knows? Maybe it's one of the great >> You think it takes off and goes somewhere that we >> Yo, Ros, >> it's unlikely. It's unlikely, but I can't hear it. It's It's unlikely based on what I know. Oh my god.
>> Uh here in New York City, there are talks of a potential uh Long Island Railroad strike that would affect a quarter million people, >> man.
>> Uh that's right. The union is resuming contract talks to avoid the strike. Uh this all was uh coming out yesterday on my timeline. I don't know if you guys saw it on yours.
>> Yeah, I saw it. Um, but yeah, man. If you catch the LIRR in the city, um, I know this has been kind of uh, rumored for some time, but um, I'm hoping this they figure this out cuz damn, man. I hate when I hate when workers can't get their money and I hate when CEOs and managers of companies would rather get their bonuses than help the people because you know that the union workers are all just trying to get their bumps, you know, get them cost of living bumps and probably haven't got a contract upgrade in a little while. It's always the same story and then when you go look at the CEO salary, salary's through the damn roof.
>> Yeah. And it sucks that you have to you have to wait for the spectacle. They have to wait for this is the only way they'll pay attention.
>> That's right.
>> Strike. The only way they'll be like, "Oh god, I guess they're serious. Maybe we should pay attention."
>> Yeah. The negotiation stressful and it's almost it almost feels like right now there's so many other things to be stressed about. Like everything is triggering, >> right? I don't know if you guys feel that way where it's like every every small things. I mean, hell, we was unraveling because they switched the the parking lot man next door. If everything was better in the world, do you think we'd be stressed off the parking lot man?
>> I don't know. The parking lot man's a big deal. I I can't I can't even hold you. But no, everyone's very tense.
Obviously, new new illnesses.
You know, our our our democracy is at risk every single day. It's been winter for nine months. A lot going on.
>> Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's another part.
>> Yeah. Hit the [ __ ] drop on mother nature because whatever's going on, >> congratulations.
Why? What do we do? because we're constantly um polluting and you know our politicians are doing nothing.
>> Nobody wants to hear about your account our accountability.
>> I didn't do that. Not the ones I vote for. They told me we were going to be all right. By the way, bad news. Uh Natalie said that Maya was doing her butt shaking dance to the Brook Hogan song. So, >> oh my god.
>> It's like she has no respect for the original.
>> N play her the original.
>> Yeah, play her the original. She hits you with the full.
>> Yeah.
>> So crazy. I don't know where this butt shake it came from. It's just natural all the time. The bop back and forth.
It's so good.
>> She's vibing.
>> She drops it like it's hot already, too.
>> It's not a It's not a full drop. It's a side to side shake.
>> Okay. Okay.
>> But it's all hips every song. All hips.
>> Listen, that's better than a lot of people who dance and can't move their hips at all.
>> Oh, no. She's got the right path. She's got the hip moving.
>> You know what I mean? At least she's on a path. She hears a beat. Whether it's whack or not, she's ready to move. But listen, maybe it was when the real beat kind of kicked in that tempo portion.
>> Yeah, I don't know what it is. I don't know.
>> Um, ladies and gentlemen, I want you to know that if you avoided ordering one of the gold Trump phones, >> you did the right thing and you don't get this.
>> Congratulations.
>> Have you seen this story, Rose?
>> Just last night when you sent it, I I was I vaguely remember these coming out, but I had not heard an update. I remember >> this is from Ari Melbour and the and the family over at MS Now.
>> Hey, Trump supporter here.
>> This goes out to Don Jr. and Eric.
>> WHERE THE IS MY PHONES?
>> I ORDERED THREE, NO, four gold Trump phones in the summer. Now we can't get any updates on them.
>> He's not alone. A bunch of customers and MAGA fans are very angry to find that Donald Trump is breaking his word again.
The Trump's family business has duped whatever fans it has left. This latest grift involves the Trump family's business failure to deliver promised Trump phones after getting down payments on them from a lot of customers. Now, how many people would actually like to buy a Trump gold phone at this juncture, say, in the last year? Well, considering the past ripoffs and the fact that no major cell phones are actually produced in the US, so this seemed like a long shot.
Well, you might think not that many, but the answer is well over 500,000 people each paid a $100 deposit >> to get in on the planned and promised Trump phone. Not a single confirmed customer, though, has gotten one. This is a report from the IBT.
Meanwhile, the website for the so-called Trump mobile, which isn't very mobile, includes a disclaimer. A pre-order doesn't guarantee a device will be produced >> or made available for purchased.
>> I mean, that is just out there. A pre-order means not a pre-order. We just hold your hundred bucks and we might never make the phone.
>> Wow.
>> The so-called Trump phone was announced with a lot of fanfare by Trump's sons last year.
>> Today, we're here to introduce Trump Mobile, making phones in America. It's about time we bring products back to our great country.
>> We're going to be uh having call centers for Trump mobile uh in St. Louis. So, we're keeping our data on shore. We plan to build phones in America. Um all of our customer support is in America. A lot of people are getting ripped off to say the least because they don't pay attention to our cell phone plans. Uh so, I think we can do it better.
>> People are getting ripped off. They're going to do a better job. They're actually doing no job because they haven't shipped any phones.
>> That's incredible. And it's very, by the way, it's very American.
>> Yeah.
>> It it it it is exactly what people who paid for it deserve >> facts >> because Trump a Trump has a history of scamming people. That name is tied to scams. You're looking at a president who's a who's a complete failure in so many ways and you still threw your money at it, bro.
>> You idiot.
>> And it says, >> "Congratulations."
>> Basically, doesn't guaranteed anything.
So, good luck.
>> You gave a hundred bucks. that gu. Now, that's like when people were ordering like um Teslas, you remember that?
>> Um you could put down $100 or whatever and it would put you on the list if you wanted to get the Tesla when it came out or whatever the the car is.
How could people fall for this? How And now there's going to be no follow-up. No one's going to say, "Not only is it insane that the president of the United States started a cell phone company, imagine >> that's right. started a cell phone company with his sons running it, claiming they're now going to have better service than the cell phone companies >> because they're tired of getting ripped off.
>> Yo, they said they're tired of getting ripped off and now they just rip people off with nothing. I've never heard of people getting nothing from their cell phone company.
>> They're tired of other people ripping people off so it's time they do it.
>> Who works at like the consumer? Do they do we because I know we've gotten rid of like people who investigate certain things at the federal level, right? Like there's people like people talk about all the time down on Wall Street right now the re you have all this market manipulation going on but they're like nobody at the SEC that's been placed in there by this current government is going to investigate anything, right? Or you you think about what's going on at Department of Justice where the people who used to investigate, you know, racial discrimination and these things, they're gone, >> right?
>> Or are is there anybody at the Consumer Affairs Bureau?
>> Crickets.
>> Like what's your recourse?
>> Crickets.
>> Cuz you'd have to have someone. So the only thing now you would have to have states go for the federal government or a state attorney general would have to say, "I'm taking this on." And then you know you know what they'll say then >> if anyone were to take it on it's then just people are going after Trump again.
>> Of course. That's right. They just And then and then oh now you people are attacking him for no reason.
>> Yep.
>> Ripping off 500,000 people is no reason.
>> And then on top of that expect some kind of retaliation for those whoever >> whoever does it.
>> Yeah. Of course in those states.
>> Look the good part is yesterday it was circulating that Trump's very relaxed.
so relaxed in his current situation.
He's falling asleep.
>> Saw that >> they were in the Oval Office yesterday talking about women's health and he had a whole, you know, bunch of ladies behind him who specialized in women's health. Your man is nodding off.
>> Oh yeah. Worse than anything I've ever seen from Biden. For all the talk there was about Biden, you could tell. I mean, he was he was seconds from REM sleep. He was almost gone.
>> Comfortable.
>> He was comfortable.
and and immediately people started uh on X, you know, his his bots, for lack of a better term, uh began attacking people who pointed it out, saying he's just blinking.
>> Blinking.
>> Did you see that?
>> No, it's a 30 second blink.
>> It's a long blink.
>> It's a long blink.
>> Long blink.
>> It's a long blink.
>> Long 844 ELR3. We got anybody in the super chat? What are they talking about in the chat room over there? You can uh hit the like button, hit the hype button. I want to shout out to Cozy Earth one more time. You know what I mean? Big up to them. Yesterday or yesterday I got home and I told uh Jazz I was like, "Yo, I did a whole commercial today on Cozy Earth and told about how we get in the bed and start giggling." Guess where we was laying? We was laying in the bed, Salasi was sleep.
We started laughing about how cool those sheets were.
>> The cozy.
>> Oh, it's incredible.
>> Uh super chat pop uh pop something or other says, "Yo, we need that Laura bomb." Oh, >> there you go.
>> Eric Motion says Siza and Kenny should remake At Your Best (Parenthesis) GNX Child." I don't know what that means.
>> That means he's a GNX fan and they want Scissor and Kendrick to do a remake.
>> Run come on back. Run it run it back.
>> Well, they did what? They just do 30 for 30 and Luther.
>> I could see a Scissor Kendrick >> collabo album.
>> Album. Yeah, I could too.
>> I could see that.
>> They had a lot. They had at that concert they had a lot. They had more than I remember.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
>> I uh I I did I did basically all of the Kevin Hart roast last night.
>> Oh, you did?
>> How do you How'd you feel about it?
>> It was okay. Have moments that it had some legit LOL moments like you'd expect and then it has some that are like okay.
And >> how'd you feel about the Shane Gillis Chelsea Handler >> back and forth thing?
>> That that was to me regular funny. That was like a pretty appropriate roast. I mean, roast are supposed to be >> Yeah.
>> pretty far out there.
>> Um, >> people were >> there were some other black ones though that jokes that is that I was took me to the limit of some people. I'm good here.
Just And I'm good. I I'm good with >> Shane Gillis. Shane Gillis has had some racial jokes that I thought were legitimately funny and he really went far. And then there were other people in other ones that I was just like >> like I a lot of people I the only one I saw was the George Floyd one that everyone's like this is pointless and it's not funny.
>> The George Floyd one was not funny. It did not do well in the room. I I'm going to just tell you the truth.
>> But that but so in all fairness at roasts where people go too far people will go too far and it will bomb. That's fair >> for for sure. Then there's people who haven't really seen roasts who see this sort of thing and it just they don't like this thing and and they're being taken out of the roast where you just saw 50 jokes that were like whoa >> and now you're No, I I don't think that the Hingcliffe joke is so beyond the Bro Shane Gillis spent all night making fun of Cheryl Underwood's real life husband who committed suicide. They they went to it all night long. And Cheryl Underwood was doubled over laughing at it. So, you can't go from that and then say that a George Floyd joke, that's the one that's too far.
>> But it wasn't funny. It wasn't delivered well. It wasn't It didn't hit. So then you take it out of context. You're really like, >> and then it's Hinchcliffe. It's the person delivering it who people think is a racist. Right.
>> People don't like Tony Hinchcliffe. They don't trust him.
>> I don't even know who that is.
>> He's he's algo. It's um he's the host >> because I heard you mention him yesterday.
>> He's the host of Kill Tony.
>> Haven't watched.
>> It's a huge It's the biggest live like roast thing there is. Okay.
>> They they sold out Madison Square Garden.
>> It's a gigantic show that all the comedians go on these days. And more importantly, the reason you should remember him >> is he was the dude who before the Trump rally made the Puerto Rico jokes.
>> Oh, he's the one.
>> So that's why people don't like him don't trust him.
>> Yeah. For a million reason. There there were mad jokes about him being racist.
That was like that was and then >> and I still can't picture him, but I remember that moment.
>> Yeah, he's he's big. He's in that whole new world of of comedians. But he got I mean he got crushed all night, too. But yeah, there were just some that I just felt like were like, we're doing it literally just for the sake of showing people, look, we can make racist black jokes >> and Kevin's cool with it.
>> And not just Kevin or everybody, >> a lot of people on stage. Well, so the the feedback I got and I haven't watched the whole Kevin Hart roast. The feedback I got from people who I wouldn't claim to have great sense of humors.
>> Okay, >> so let's start there. Or understand like how far roasts go were absolutely hitting me like, "Yo, you're cool with this Kevin Hart roast and and these white people getting on stage."
>> What do you mean you're cool? First of all, >> how did you show you were cool with it?
>> I don't know. I didn't say anything.
>> Why are they in your What did you do?
No, these were people I know texting me like they wanted me to get up here and lambast about, you know, how how how Kevin Hart let white people get on stage and go too far with racist jokes.
>> And I was like, but it's a roast. That was my response. I was like, it's a roast. Like, it's what it is.
>> A lot of people don't even know what a roast is.
>> Yeah. Listen, some I I I'm not going to sit here and tell you there weren't ones that made me cringe. There were moments when I cringe.
>> And so, maybe that's what it is.
>> But I also know what I'm signing up for.
>> Can I tell you what made me cringe?
It felt in the first half an hour was only half an hour I watched was Usher and Kevin Hart and Tom Brady and that kind of >> that was bad by the way the first 20 minutes was just >> well so that was >> usher get out Tom Brady get out love them all didn't work to me >> well I felt like it was too scripted >> yeah it was done it was too scripted and I was like ah if this is what I'm getting I'm I'll come back to this >> it turns into a regular roast >> got it okay so I need to give it time >> if that's what you if you I'm not going to tell you >> I'm go I'm gonna go watch it >> I like it The Chelsea Handler the Chel the Chelsea Handler stuff was funny in general. Her going after Tony Hinchcliffe was like if you're someone who sort of wanted to see Tony Hinchcliffe catch it.
It was very satisfying.
>> Chelsea Handler went in. It was it was really really funny.
>> I saw a clip of her cooking.
>> She was she was very very good. I mean obviously you get the same jokes about Chelsea that everyone makes it every one of them and that she's [ __ ] every black dude there is. Blah blah all like that stuff. Like just some of these are starting to get a bit old.
>> Get Chelsea Handler on here. I want to know. We're going to talk to her about her resume.
>> Is that what you think? You want to that where you want to innovate?
>> No.
>> Um Jeff Ross I thought was really funny.
Um he was really good. Uh Pete Davidson was funny. It was great to see Pete.
>> I love seeing Pete. Um but yo, they were making guys they were making jokes about Tony Hinchcliffe. I can be offended about all the things Tony Hinchiff said and I didn't think this was funny. This to me was too far. He made a joke about uh Pete Davidson's father rolling over in his rubble.
>> Ron Bas thinks that's funny.
>> Yo. Yo, I >> There you go. Somebody got somebody.
>> No, that I that was the one I was like, "All right." Because there already been multiple jokes about Pete's dad. For whatever reason, that was the one. Maybe again, maybe it's the messenger. I was just like, "You don't need to go that far."
>> He's still laughing.
>> Yo, this is Yo Bass. I'm The only reason I'm laughing is I'm laughing at him cuz I can't believe it.
>> Baskam is go like he's cracking up.
>> But maybe he's laughing because it's inappropriate. Like >> it was that was that was a good joke.
That was funny.
>> See, no. Baskam has no moral lines.
That's the That's the That's the But no, listen, you have the right to laugh at the whole thing. It was cool. Parts of it were good. Parts of it were too were just whatever. But no, the Chelsea handle part I had no problem with.
>> I think we all have a thing, right? Like people are like, "Oh, you know, comedy should have no restrictions. Like it should be free." I personally like I because somebody asked me what's your limit, right?
>> I was like I don't find pedo jokes funny like rape jokes. I'm just like >> I don't think there really any of those though.
>> No, no, no. But I'm just saying in general, you know how people were saying.
>> What kind of comedy are you going to Laura? I've never even heard this before.
>> Well, Pete Davidson has made some >> What?
>> He's made some like really inappropriate like >> rapy jokes.
>> Yeah, rapey jokes and like children jokes. I'm like, yeah, that's not I didn't find it funny at all. You know what I Well, I think, and this is the thing about comedy, >> has to be funny.
>> No.
>> Well, yeah, >> that is big though.
>> Yes, >> that is big.
>> But that's not what I was going to say.
>> Okay.
>> The uncomfortable nature of the joke is sometimes why certain people find it funny because it's so wrong.
>> Yes, >> that's a >> I agree with you.
>> That is a thing in comedy that many people don't get.
>> Yeah. Yeah. And are not into, by the way, they don't like I used to go to comedy clubs and watch comedians bomb and I thought it was hilarious cuz they were doing a terrible job and and the audience was mad and that was funny to me.
>> Yeah.
>> But the people in the audience were like, "I paid my money. This isn't funny and you're ruining my night cuz you suck." You know what I mean? And I was like, "Well, you guys just went to a rando comedy club and didn't know what you were getting and that's funny to me."
For example, though, um Pete Davidson made a Charlie Kirk joke. It was okay, but I'm like, if you're going to wade into those waters that could really get people clipping it and being like you, it should be a slam dunk joke in my opinion, not like a >> you know what I'm saying? Like that that's the thing that I feel like I'm surprised when they don't know the ones that just don't really know. Did that Joe get bad feedback or did you not it didn't land with you?
>> I don't know. I just know based on >> what I've seen happen to other people. I would be mindful just from like a your own >> safety >> safety dealing with it in your life, your career.
>> Um someone saying I think it was Chelsea Hamler said and this me and Natalie fell out to this one. Shane Gillis, you look like Duski doing white face was hilarious because then it shows him and he literally looks like that.
Speaking of Duski and Whiteface.
>> Oh my god.
>> Did you know Chris Farley was still with us >> and doing corrupt things in the Puerto Rican government?
>> No.
>> And I don't like what you're saying. I'm I'm offended already.
>> Go to Go to clip 16.
>> I'm not.
>> Puerto Rico's governor was almost tied to a drug investigation. And then the Trump administration made the case disappear. Federal investigators were looking into allegations that prison gang leaders were trading drugs to inmates in exchange for votes for now governor and Trump loyalist Jennifer.
And here's how. But first, it's important to note that inmates in Puerto Rico can legally vote. According to investigators, gang leaders allegedly forced inmates to vote for Gonzalez or face repercussions like beatings or starvation inside prison walls. And four overdose deaths were allegedly connected to the operation. And it gets worse.
Gang members involved were allegedly getting special treatment like reduced prison sentences, big screen TVs, PlayStations, cell phones. One of the gang leaders even posted screenshots of WhatsApp messages he claimed were with Gonzalez during the primary. Prosecutors believed that they had enough evidence to pursue corruption and election fraud charges. Then Trump took office. Those prosecutors were told to drop the drugs for votes angle entirely. The smuggling case stayed open, but the election fraud part of it vanished. Here's why that matters. Gonzalez Bar won the primary, meaning those prison votes may have been the market and this is a serious story that I now really have a conspiracy.
This is from a federal investig.
the >> well basically the PMP and the conservative or and the conservative government in Puerto Rico is corrupt and has been corrupt and has been taking advantage of the people and it has been taken advantage so bad that they've been paying gang members because inmates in Puerto Rico can vote and they've been using that to like force people to vote for conservative politics that's taking advantage of the island.
>> Wow.
>> Mhm.
>> And Trump and them made that portion of it go away, but the drugs for votes thing is still kind of bubbling. But they wanted to protect the politicians or Trump did.
>> Mind you, she's the one that she's part of the group that was like, "No, Bad Bunny, you can't you see then they cannot make a film about Puerto Rico in Puerto Rico."
>> Wow.
>> So now they have to go to DR. >> Yo, that really So if you haven't seen the Chris Farley um the skit where they're sitting around eating and he's like, "These fries are good." And he's dressed as a full as a woman. He literally looks exactly like that.
>> Lay off. I'm starving.
>> Lay off me. I'm starving.
>> No, he literally looks exactly like Chris. Was that incredible?
>> Oh my god.
>> I don't know.
>> First of all, the story is incredible.
That's an incredible story that's going on in Puerto Rico right now. The second part is n when I saw it, I was distract I had to watch it three times cuz I was distracted by the fact I was like, "Yo, that is Chris Farley, bro. I'm bugging."
>> Yo, it's crazy.
>> Nah, it's crazy. Uh, Flaskco Fiasco Star says, uh, for $30.
Wow. Louisiana has a push to get rid of Governor Jeff Landry.
>> Okay.
>> Over the cancelling of elections and the elimination of a black court of clerk's position that was elected by the people at over 65%.
>> Please get the word out.
>> Yeah, we were trying I've been trying to get a time schedule with Gary Chambers Jr. who's been on the is obviously very vocal in the state of Louisiana.
very vocal down in Baton Rouge in New Orleans. Um, Griff, did I get you his email?
>> I got to get you his email. We got to get him on the program so we could talk about that. But yeah, that's a uh that is an absolute hot topic. And obviously Louisiana is ground zero for the most recent Supreme Court decision that gutted voting rights.
>> Yeah.
>> Mhm.
>> Which now you're seeing what's happening in Virginia. You're seeing what's happening in um in Louisiana. Obviously, you saw what's happening in Tennessee.
Mhm.
>> They're working on new maps in Alabama.
>> That's right.
>> Yo, let me tell you something. Have you paid attention to how fast white racists get things done?
>> When it's time to disenfranchise black people, >> oh, they can do it quickly, >> bro. When it's time for black people or or marginalized groups to actually when we vote on something to implement something, it takes forever.
>> Why is that? because they don't want it to happen, bro. And they want us to become apathetic with the process. They want us to feel that the system will not work for us. So, we check out.
That's what they want. They want you to feel like no matter what you do, nothing works. And so, you just throw your hands up and you ignore.
>> It's also they want to work quick because they have the people in place.
And the faster you do it, it gives people less time to find out. You know what I'm saying? Because people can be mad afterwards, but you know what I mean?
>> Well, and and generally people trying to get bad things done, you know, they don't have any moral code to make them go, you know, cross tees and dot eyes.
So, they just go go >> and and a whole other issue in New Jersey. I know we're trying to get uh Mikey Cheryl on again. Uh they're putting in those um those AI data centers out in a couple of towns in New Jersey >> and the towns are like we just found out about this and we didn't vote for this.
>> Yes. Most of them are like that. Abro >> and and the the power drain on the community is the equivalent of 250,000 homes in some of these towns that only have like a 100,000 people.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Have you seen how it affects their water? Like have you seen those mini docks of people basically like come inside and see what it is to live by one of these centers? Like she turns on the water and it's like barely any water and they're talking about how everything is unaffordable. They're having so many problems with their electricity. It just affects the quality of life altogether and there's nothing you can do about it.
>> And so whole towns are sitting in front of their, you know, their their uh city city board or mayors or whatever like no one voted for this. Nobody wants this except you guys. Oh, and you're giving them tax breaks.
>> Yeah, that's who.
>> And and by the way, how many jobs are they giving people?
>> According to the community, then none to them.
>> They're bringing in their own people.
>> So, and and and why is it why is it so cost uh like problematic to do AI?
>> Well, because you have computing cost and the power supply.
>> It's that but why it just seems like we didn't really figure it out yet the way that they needed to figure it out.
>> Well, no. Well, but that was the whole hustle. the whole scam of the AI thing where these big tech companies saying, you know, because if you think about it, over the last year, we got inundated with AI headlines, >> everything. Yeah.
>> And what that did was that drove investment, right, for people in the market to say, I'm going to invest in these companies that specialize in AI, which drove their stock price, and people cashed out, made million, their stock price went up, etc., etc. That doesn't mean that the business is ready to go, >> right?
That just means that they want your money so you can invest so they can use your money to build out the thing that they're selling you on. It's kind of like the Trump phones, >> right? Right. But they can at least get something out. It's just not being done well or efficient.
>> Well, no, but the sustainability of the thing, a lot of times there's great ideas, but is it sustainable? Can Can you keep it going? Right? Like that's what we're going to watch when you drop your podcast. Validate me. Great idea.
>> Can you sustain it?
>> Can you sustain it? Can you keep this going on a regular basis? Even when we did this, right, people were like, "Sounds great. Y'all going to do it every day?" Remember all those conversations were like people were like, "You're going to do this every day."
>> We were like, "We already do it every day."
>> Yeah.
>> So, I'm just looking at up different ways that it affects communities. So the pollution is wild because they use um large arrays of backup diesel generators and it leads to significant localized air pollution during testing and powder outages and just harms public health altogether. And then it imagine your your little baby with you and you can't even go outside because it's so bad. And it also a single data center can consume up to two megawatt hours of power and millions of gallons of water annually for cooling. And you know, >> millions of ys.
>> Yep. And that explains the water pressure that the lady was talking about. There's so much that we don't know yet cuz this is so new.
>> Once again, sustainability. Yeah.
>> Because the demand on the power drives up cost. And how about this? I read an article the other day. Many companies that were thinking about how they're going to use AI to support their companies, support their workers, whatever they were going to do, came to find out that there's actual, and I'm using quotes here because this is what it said in the article, computing costs.
So, not only you have to pay for AI to work for same you pay for chat GBT. No, >> I don't. But yeah, you do people.
>> But like if you want it to do more stuff, you got to pay. It's not free.
No.
So that those costs so if you want AI personalized to your company or whatever it is there's costs associated with that it is not a free thing or like when we think about oh we just Google something well Google sells advertising so that's how they're offsetting the cost probably for us to use Google for free >> if you want it's a much lower intensity thing >> it's a much lower intensity but if you want more from Google right they have premium they have this they're going to charge you for different things because all of this computation has costs not only for the people running it but for the power demand.
>> Yeah, man.
>> So, it's not just like a, you know, hey, >> flip a switch. You guys got something cool.
>> So, all of this whole thing of all the business is being like, we're going to figure out how we're going to use AI and we're going to use AI and everyone's using AI, but no one's thinking about that the actual use of AI has a cost to the world.
>> That's right. Well, and how about this?
Let's let's even talk about that cost.
Let's talk about let's say AI removes all of our jobs.
>> Mhm. but provides you guys tune in 8 am but and there's a great show going on.
Okay, that money, right, that that was saved because they used AI, now they have to spend for the computing cost.
So, there's still cost. Oh, and oh, by the way, the people you got rid of aren't spending money in the community now. They're not going to the barber shop. They're not going to on vacations.
So, not only did you lose because you're paying extra computing costs, you lost actual money going back into the economy because it's just going to a corporation to fund computing costs.
It's not it's not this AI thing doesn't seem like it's shaping up good. What you got, Gre >> Sil is on the phone wants to talk about gas prices in Cuba and how they're getting shut down.
>> Sil, yo, I was over in Jersey the other day. I saw a diesel for $5.96 bucks.
>> Yeah, I paid like six yesterday in the city for regular.
>> Six bucks a gallon >> in the city? Yeah, I think yesterday it was near six.
>> Sil, good morning.
>> Hey, good morning. Hi. I'm calling because um so gas in Cuba right now is $40 a gallon.
>> That is, by the way, who is that for?
Cuz Cubans ain't got it like that.
>> Absolutely not. They already had it bad before, but now it got even worse because now Trump forbid any other country to send them gas at all. They can't have nothing.
>> Yep. You know, they've been they've been trying to starve the Cubans so that they want to go against the regime and turn over the government so America could take it.
>> Yeah, >> that's the whole plan here. Sil, where you calling us from?
>> Oh, I'm calling actually I'm actually originally from Queens. Just moved to Connecticut. So, hi.
>> Hey, good morning. Thanks for joining the ELR show.
>> Appreciate you.
>> Talk to you soon.
>> Nil's talking that real talk.
>> $40 a gallon.
>> Cuba always catches man. Cuba just catches it like for his for forever.
>> Well, yeah, because you know they had a regime there that went against the United States >> and for that you will forever be >> and then you have Cubans here whose families were harmed by Fidel Castro, right? So, and you know who will never forget that. And so they want that and and they want that land. Bro, that is a big island that people have been wanting for a long time. Yo, this is going so bad. It is just so crazy. I I I seriously I I think I it it's been a long time since I decided to just put in like $30 because I'm like, I'll wait and get more elsewhere. I put in like $35 yesterday because I was empty. But >> four gallons again. So, I got I put in a few. Literally, I put in Yeah. six, you know, whatever it was, four or five gallons. And then was like, I'll get the rest later because it's that bad. Is he ever going to pay the price for this? No one's like, imagine if the Democrats had things this crazy. Imagine.
>> Well, that's what we'll see at the midterms.
>> We'll see. We'll see.
>> What do you got, Lou? Hang on. L looks like he's chomping at the bit.
>> Let's go, Lou.
>> Well, no, but to offset it, he is he is delaying the gas tax.
>> That's what he said. that he's trying to do to offset the prices.
>> What does that mean? What does that mean?
>> What's the gas tax?
>> A federal gas tax.
>> It's a federal gas tax.
>> And how will that affect our lives? Like how practically for Americans, >> meaning that that tax won't be levied against the gas. So in theory, we keep the the price down.
>> It's not. So when will that kick in?
>> Well, that's the part we got to wait for.
>> Congratulations.
>> I mean, it'll come as soon as you get your phone. Whenever you get your phone is when you get >> And if you have an issue, just call right from your Trump phone.
>> There you go.
>> Got you.
>> That's what you are. You ready for the rundown?
>> Yes, let's do it.
>> Let's do it.
>> Inflation shot up >> to a 3.8% annual rate in April.
>> There you go.
>> Interesting. As energy costs rise.
>> Lovely.
>> Thanks, New York Times.
>> Right. All right. So, yesterday the big talk was like, what is happening with Kendrick Lamar's music? So, GNX disappeared from Apple Music and other streaming platforms.
>> Okay.
>> Um, >> wow. YouTube, Apple Music. I saw something about uh Spotify as well.
>> Yes. Yes. Yes. But it's so funny you bro, cuz when I was looking at it, most people were just reporting Apple Music and YouTube.
>> Got it.
>> So, and then the music videos for Not Like Us and Luther were also um gone, but then re-uploaded, removing all of the views, but then everything is back on as of now.
>> So, do you do you know what happened? I would I don't know what happened, but I would have to assume it has something to do with the people who own the music, >> right? Because the streaming services, remember, they provide you a platform to interface with the music, but they don't control the music. They don't control the uploading of the music. They don't control the rights of the music, any of that.
So, if there's like a takedown order or some sort of, you know, uh, rights issue or something that goes between the label and the distributor. I think the the platforms, the way I understand the technology, they're just there for the user to interface with.
>> Interesting. Yeah. I don't think people understand that part.
>> Well, but of course it happens the week ICEMAN'S ABOUT TO DROP.
>> You know what I'm saying? So, of course, it goes into a tizzy.
>> Of course, >> it's back up on Spotify. Everything.
>> Yeah. Everything's back up. Everything's all back up. Yes, >> it was back up yesterday. Like, so who cares?
>> No lie. It was 30 minutes after maybe 45 minutes after.
>> These these Draies are weird. They just >> Well, I don't even know if it was the Drake. Like, who who discovered that the Kendrick Lamar album was down? Like, that means somebody went to listen and it wasn't there.
>> Yeah, I think they probably posted probably posted from a normal people like, "Hey, where's my Kendrick album?"
But then once the Drakeies see that and they start going, "Oh, here we go." and start stirring the pot. You know that.
Come on. They're obsessed.
>> I mean, listen, it's a sickness.
>> Oh my god.
>> Damn. Why do you go there? And why did Drake not like me?
>> There you go. Leaning into the sickness part so far, bro.
>> Right. Speaking of Drake, so Iceman is supposed to drop uh this Friday.
>> Damn right.
>> That's the freezing out here.
>> So, yesterday I did see that uh Charlemagne had pointed it out that two names in particular um are going to be mentioned.
>> Yes.
>> Asafraki and DJ Khaled.
>> Yes. Okay.
>> So, expect shots at them.
>> So, now the Rocky thing I Well, let's do it piece by piece. So, let's start with Rocky. Okay. Of which we have to remember that hasn't Drake said some things shady about Rocky uh and Rihanna or Rihanna and after Rocky and Rihanna have been uh you know with children, >> Drake has had some things to say and people were like, "Yo, bro, like move on." Like that was a convo that happened. Yeah.
>> Right.
>> Then Rocky puts out this most recent album and he took some shots.
>> Yeah.
>> Fire back.
>> So, you would think like, "Okay, you said your part. I said my part on my project.
>> We're not done."
>> That's not how it always works. I'm just asking. It's really just a question because if I'm looking at Drake, I'm like, "So, you're still talking to the guy that's with your ex? They got three They got three children."
>> Yeah. I don't think he cares. No, I know he doesn't clearly, but I at a point you got to go.
>> Yeah. I mean, it doesn't I don't know if it's is about is is it just about that?
You know what I mean? Is it deeper? We don't I don't really know.
>> Might be deeper than rap.
>> I mean, >> could be. But what's up with the Khaled situation?
>> The Khaled thing is interesting, too, because the last I heard Khaled thought he had two Drake songs and then he doesn't. So, maybe something happened behind the scenes that we don't know about or I don't know about.
>> Am I wrong? But throughout the battle, I didn't see that. Yeah. He didn't say anything or take a side.
>> I don't know if you know this. Khaled is known for a lot of things. Waiting into controversial waters is not one of them.
>> Correct. Correct.
>> So Khaled stayed away from that. So it had to >> We're also taking what Charlemagne is saying at face value.
>> WELL, THAT'S CHARLEMAGNE. HE'S AN EXPERT FOR God's sake. But we don't know that it first of all, we don't know that what he said about Khaled is negative, >> right? Cuz all Charlemagne said was two people's names get mentioned was the way I saw the headline. So Khaled said Khaled said that he had a Drake song and didn't Drake like comment and say something like no or something along those Am I bugging? Did I make this up?
>> I feel like that happened but who knows?
>> Okay.
>> I don't Drake in the comments. All I remember is axes next to my name.
>> That's right. I remember that. Me too.
>> Where's the Hebrew mention?
Well, yeah. So, let's see what happens.
It's supposed to drop this Friday.
>> Iceman.
>> Wait, but who's where's who's the leak on the Drake team, though? who's feeding things to to op Charlemagne.
>> He had more info than that. That was only two things. The headline I saw he said like seven other things.
>> Oh, I just good promo though.
>> He had all kinds of info on it though.
But >> but this is great promo though.
>> But is that what they want? They want >> It's a week away. Yeah, of course. Why wouldn't they want to >> All right. So intentionally.
>> Um in other news, guys, um entertainment mogul Byron Allen is now um >> Oh, here's what happened. Sorry, Laura.
Real quick. Here's here's what you were talking about.
>> Okay.
Khaled shared a trailer on Instagram uh featuring Anthony Ramos and Mark Wahlberg.
>> Okay.
>> Um with the latter claiming the project had two new Drake songs.
>> Drake immediately commented must be at Drake Bell.
>> So that's and then >> meaning it ain't this Drake is another >> not this Drake. That's not necessarily saying they have issues but >> All right. Sorry.
>> It's not It's not the nicest thing to say.
>> No, >> it's not like yes, let's go.
>> Or or you could just say Or you could just say, "Oh, that's not true." If you wanted to say that, >> but I guess we shall see. All right. So, entertainment mogul Byron Allen is making a a big move yesterday people were talking about because he's going to acquire the majority stake in BuzzFeed in a deal worth $120 million. So Byron Allen and the Allen family um will purchase I guess 40 million shares giving him approximately 52% ownership once it closes later on this month. So people just celebrating like oh my god blackowned major the majority.
>> What's what what does BuzzFeed like have these days besides like like what is BuzzFeed? remember there was some purchases and things that went on a few years ago included BuzzFeed went into another company and >> right >> so I'm not familiar but it's been buy bought and sold a couple of times as far as Byron Allen he's been making great media purchases and and it and trying to buy things some of which you know he had to sue for the right to buy because it was really on some like yo y'all not going to let the black man buy even though I got the money >> uh and some of which he's just been yeah uh making major moves so shout out to Byron Allen I think it's a wonderful thing >> I Listen, it it's going to it's going to require people on the left essentially buying media outlets for things to ever possibly for information to get out there in a real way that's not right-wing slanted.
>> That was the celebration yesterday online.
>> So, it's going to have to be.
>> And I don't know Byron Allen's politics at all. So, >> I Googled it and he's a Democrat.
>> Okay. But yeah, but I don't know to you know.
>> Yeah. I'm not saying he's a [ __ ] but I he ain't Rupert Murdoch either, right?
>> Yes. Yes. Yes. Um, speaking of black people owning things, did you hear about uh Quanza Jones and the purchase of the San Diego Padres's?
>> No.
>> You didn't hear a black woman might be the majority owner of the San Diego Padres's?
>> I did not.
>> Uh, that's right. She is a um well accomplished uh woman and her and her husband met in college and her husband, I believe I read, went on to become some like billionaire financeier dude and now she's going to be buying a baseball team.
>> Her name is Quanza.
>> That's right. black.
>> That's fire.
>> You know what I'm saying?
>> Course she's an American artist, investor, entrepreneur, philanthropist.
>> Yeah, she's written some songs. Was an artist. Had some hit songs, too.
>> Those Padres fans are going to be mad.
>> Why? Why would the Padres's fans be mad, Griff?
>> Why?
>> San Diego Republican is all >> Why? Cuz the You telling me the white people in San Diego are going to be mad that a black woman owns >> the San Diego Padre >> after the Towers family? Yeah. Well, she's married to Joseé Feliciano. He's a billionaire private equity investor, >> co-founder of Clear Lake Capital, and her partner in philanthropy and business.
>> Interesting.
>> And it hasn't been approved yet. I think they vote on it. I think they vote on it this week.
>> Well, I hope they get it. They seem like great guys.
>> Every time you say interesting, it reminds me of that guy. What's it?
What's his name?
>> Dylan. Interesting.
>> Reminds you of it. That's my beautiful impression. My homage. Love on the Spectrum.
>> Love on the Spectrum. Spectum. Yeah.
Laura's starting to come around. She's starting to see these Dylan clips moving around. She's >> So, have you watched an episode?
>> No. Yes. Yes, I have. But not with Dylan.
>> But not with not the new season.
>> It wasn't for me, I bro. It just wasn't for me.
>> Oh, wait. But you watched it before it got popping and then didn't then go back.
>> Yes. Yes. You need to go back. Yes. Yes.
>> You're playing yourself.
>> Yes. Anyway, that was the rundown.
>> Oh, intro for the outro.
Before we get to the gurus, I've been meaning to put up this picture. Can I have uh clip one rousan?
>> All right.
>> Also, in the meantime, while I was looking for that, Laura, I sent you mentioned the other day that Cardi and Stefon Diggs were all hugged up together again.
>> Yes. Yeah. Yeah. They are they were at like a Mother's Day celebration.
>> Yeah. For his event. They were like acting like I don't know. It was all coup d'et la with Cardi and stuff on >> I guess.
>> You all right, Rousan?
>> Yeah.
>> It says here, "Gold statue in Mara Lago dedicated to Trump."
>> Oh, look at that. Look at that.
>> Wow.
>> I want to make sure everyone can hear.
Okay, sir.
>> Hello, everybody. I want to thank you so much for being there today and >> more importantly for what you did. The uh the statue is beautiful. You know, I saw it during the weekend. We had a big PGA tournament with a a great champion and all great champions actually, but it was a great tournament and >> I got to look at it very closely and it's incredible. And I just they clearly didn't know it was done from love and I want to thank Mark Burns, a pastor. He's a good pastor. He's a good man. I've known him a long time. He's been with me from the beginning. Right from the beginning, maybe about two days later, right? Two days, >> right, Mr. President?
>> He was he was right at the beginning and I appreciate it. Is it a super I want to thank everybody there. I don't know. I hear there's a good crowd of people, but I want to thank you all and I won't forget it.
>> And we we love you all and the country is doing great and Iran is not doing good because of us. They are not doing well at all and good things are happening and I just want to really give you my love and I wish I could be there where we want to make sure everything's going perfect on the war fronts. I figure you you could understand that.
But we'll all we'll see you all around.
I just want to again it's everybody is taking pictures of it. Everybody is my people told me that it's unbelievable.
All day long they're taking pictures.
They stand up next to it and wrap it up.
It really came out beautifully. I didn't know what to expect. I just want to thank you all >> and we love you all and God bless America.
>> Where is that? It's at Mara Lago.
>> Yeah, it says here Mara Lago.
>> Yeah, it's in Mar >> dedicated to Trump. Golden statue.
>> Yo, he lo your man.
He loves him. He loves him some Trump boy.
>> He loves himself.
>> He loves him some Trump. Did you see him with um >> the Indiana Hooers yesterday? I did not >> the football team.
>> He He just pulled the classic. He's reading the thing. Kurt Signetti, the head coach. Kurt. Who's Kurt? Where's Kurt? Who's Kurt? He's the head coach.
HE'S STANDING RIGHT OH, WE LOVE HIM.
>> Didn't know who he was standing right next He's standing right next to him.
Then he finds out Fernando Mendoza is not there cuz he's uh he was with the Raiders getting ready >> and he's like, "Oh, we don't like that.
I don't like that he's not here." But he like he loves Trump.
>> He's he's He said he called him.
>> He said Mendoza called.
>> He said he called.
>> All right.
>> Mendoza. That's your quarterback.
>> How do you call?
>> That's your quarterback calling Trump.
>> That's right.
>> Um >> that's right.
>> At from the Latin those those uh Spaniards down there in Florida, they love him some Trump >> at from the record. Uh said, "Thanks for playing my video. Send a shipping address. I'll ship you a native New Yorker."
>> Yeah. Shout to From the Record. I didn't shout you out. That was him doing the uh the Puerto Rico clip with uh Chris Farley. He He said, "Um, good job."
>> He said, "Y'all deserve it. Especially you, Rosenberg. Thank you. Thank you."
From the record, I will gladly wear your native wear your native New Yorker hat and troll everybody.
>> Let's get to the gurus.
>> I know. It's time for the gurus.
>> Rosenberg. Laura, you know you are beautiful queen.
Don't ever play yourself. You're not a guru.
>> Breathe in, breathe out. The original [email protected].
The original [email protected].
That's where you write to us. We're the gurus unite to fight for what's right.
Ebro, burn the sage.
>> Yo, it's not weird to y'all that the religious folks just throwing up gold statues, man. Ain't they like super like it's not weird? That >> So wait, that was put up by religious people.
>> Well, there he said the pastor.
>> Yeah, that's what I mean. Shout out.
There was like religious folks there.
>> It is weird. They're all weird.
>> That goes again. Isn't that like one of the amendments and there wasn't a whole story?
>> I don't think they're called amendments, but I know what you're saying. Yeah.
Commandments. You know what I mean?
>> Uh, thou shalt not worship false idols.
>> Yeah, there you go. All right. Well, Moses went on >> the stage cuz you needed cuz >> and came down and they was worshiping a a a golden calf.
>> Yeah.
>> I just I just wish like nobody stops and goes, "Yo, this is >> this is what this is." So nobody >> but they turn ev every every single quote moral that anyone has like they just throw out the window to be down with him.
>> That's it. That's it. I just listen I saw that. Did you guys see that Nature Boy documentary?
>> No.
>> I I was banging my head against a wall.
It's like a big documentary that's going on about this guy who basically built a cult. Some dude from Harlem. Okay.
>> And he was like animals.
>> No. No. He was preaching like an al natural life like back to uh you know back to the earth.
>> Shnie would have loved it.
>> Okay.
>> Until it got dark.
>> Until it got until it went bad.
>> Yes. And then he just became like abusive and was doing insanely disgusting things to people to the men and the women and they went all over the world together. But it was straight up a cult. And I'm like how do these people like how do you believe in this man?
Like how this man had people sucking his toes. Grown ass men.
>> You had grown men sucking his toes. It >> Yes. It was crazy.
>> I went, "What kind of cult was that?"
You sure that was a cold?
>> It's a sex cult. It turn He eventually turned it into a sex cult. Yeah. But it's like the trance that these people were in cuz afterwards they interview them and they're just like, "Oh my god, I can't believe that was me."
>> But like Trump, Here's the thing about Trump that makes him interesting.
Probably stop music. It's you're putting ne we're putting negativity over positive.
>> Here's the thing about Trump though. He doesn't even like really try very hard.
like these cult leaders, you know, they come up with a whole persona and they like bring these people in generally speaking and they find a Trump like he doesn't even cover up that he's not about any of the things that he says.
It's so clear.
>> He has other people do it for him though.
>> But it's he's he's so clearly making he does his lying is not even good. I know.
>> Well, I got news for you guys. Marketing works.
>> Yeah. I just, you know, the and I and I I don't want to throw this in here and it's going to offend people or whatever, but y'all just gonna have to get mad.
There's so much that we think is like the best thing we've ever seen or it's all marketing, man. It's all made up.
It's all smok and mirrors. It's all fraudulent.
Like, so much >> I know so much. So much. Yo, and I bring I'm bringing this up. Yo, people talked to me like and I told y'all this like I slapped their baby when I talked about Michael Jackson Thriller and all that all that popped in my head was like, yo, >> the marketing of that really worked that this guy whom I love and think is amazing, but he's a human like everyone else. People hold him beyond human like he's just not a regular person. You can't you're not allowed to speak like this.
the gold glove and the spinning and the the videos and the music or whatever white glove. I'm thinking gold because of the statue now sequin glove but you know what I'm saying and I love Mike and I love Thriller.
>> Sure.
>> But I'm not allowed you're not allowed to talk about it. I was like >> well they act like it was sacred.
>> It was sacred.
>> You know what I mean? And it's all it's indoctrination a lot of it. You know what I mean? And so >> this is why I'm so triggered. I have to and I think I've told you guys this before. This is why I'm triggered.
And I'm gonna be very mindful with how uh I talk about things on Validate Me.
This is why I'm so triggered by self-help stuff when like Instagram videos of people being like, "Here's what you need to do." Even by people who I know are good people. I I'm triggered by when people try to proclaim authority to explain to people how to do things.
>> Well, you like that with the most recent news cycle because people fall for it.
What do you mean?
>> Meaning like proclaiming authority.
Meaning someone who hasn't been validated or stamped by a trustworthy entity. Someone just saying, "I know this. This is a fact." And you're like, "But who are you?"
>> Yeah. But why is it a fact?
>> But who are you?
>> Wait, you're telling me my life's going to be better if I do what now? What's your life like?
>> Right.
>> I don't And it's it's it's everywhere.
It's every That's why like people like God God bless. He's a nice guy. people who like Gary Vee who speak with that level of like and then you blah blah blah and I'm like I don't know what's going on with you >> right >> I you can't tell me I don't need yeah fine let me be an idiot who's walking around just surviving getting by doing my thing I'm not going to be a multi multi-millionaire I'll just be who I'm going to be but I can't trust these people who proclaim themselves to be that and people fall for all of that >> because people are looking for the silver bullet they're looking for lightning in a bottle they're looking for a savior looking which is what we deal this god complex we deal with with politicians. So they chose that savior and for that many people that savior was Christ or God or whatever and they rock with that all forever until they meet this snake oil salesman who's been caught up in all these horrible real estate deals who has terrible hair everything's bad and they're like no no but >> Christ can you step aside for a minute I think I found the real >> but wait no the people that they trust parents community leaders religious leaders TV outlet media outlet the people that they trust are saying go this way.
>> Yeah. Especially >> that's why to Laura's point, he Trump's like, "Hey, >> hey, man. What? You know, I like dumb people. Hell, if I shot somebody on Fifth Avenue, they'd still vote for me."
I mean, look, look at the B the B.
The Bible. Hey, matter of fact, I'mma make my own Bible. You want one? I know the one you get in the hotel rooms and everywhere else is free, but this one $50 plus it has my signature in it.
>> How about a cell phone? How about a cell phone? You want a cell phone? You want some steaks? You want a tie? You want a tie? You want to go to Donald Trump University? Tell me what you need. What you need? I got it for you. I got it. I got all the airline, football teams.
Whatever.
>> All my kids getting rich.
>> You want a coin? You want a coin? You want a Bitcoin? You want You >> want a real coin or you want a real coin or an imaginary coin? You want Bitcoin?
We got coins. We got phones. We got phones. We got shoes. We >> got We got WE GOT WHAT DO YOU WANT? What do you want?
>> What else do you need?
>> And people bought them.
>> And people bought them. But my point is, he's being him. They've rallied around him because they know that he doesn't have he's a soulless person. So the people who have an agenda went, we can use this guy.
>> We'll use this guy cuz he'll do whatever >> whatever.
>> And he'll do what we ask him to do because we're going to prop him up. And once we prop him up, then all of our agenda items get checked off and finished because he doesn't have any more. That's why people are like, "Yeah, but he used to be like progay and he used to be pro-choice and he used to be he's what he's not any of these things.
>> He's whatever he needs to."
>> That's why I always maintain the worst most uh racist the true white supremacy in that White House >> is Steven Miller. Trump's just good >> and Steven Bannon >> and Steve Bannon who's in and out, but Mill Yeah. Miller's the architect at this point, right?
>> He's just good with it. Yeah.
>> Trump's fine. Yeah. and other well some and some of the other people who do all the other things they tell me they like it so I just let it keep going. He's an empty vessel to your point. All right.
Now we can do the >> All right.
>> You want You see the Trump Jordans?
These are better than Jordans. They're Trump.
>> All right.

Your destination for clarity.
This question is for Ebro.
>> Yes.
>> Well, Ebro is not a guru. Next question.
Just kidding. Here we go.
>> Oh, no. You guys said I was.
>> Does Issa have any friends of the opposite sex? And if so, how do you navigate managing those friendships? At a time when I feel society is forcing our kids to grow up faster than needed, I'm battling giving my daughter the space to be able to be in social settings with her friends um with being hyper sensitive to preventing behaviors that could potentially cross boundaries. My daughter's 8 years old and has a close friend of the opposite sex. The other day while driving them, by the way, can we just start out by saying that is such a wordy way to describe a boy.
>> Yeah. Like why are we starting here?
It's like my daughter has a friend who's a boy.
>> Yeah, >> let's break calm this down a notch.
>> Um the other day while driving them home from an activity, I noticed them in the back seat and he was playfully feeding his snack to her. I instantly told him to stop and after dropping him home proceeded to try to have a conversation with her about being cognizant of behaviors that are not necessary or could be seen as inappropriate. I do want to preface uh this with we've had this conversation plenty of times before, but I'm also navigating a world where this generation seems more touchyfey and into doing the dumbest things than I remember going through when I was a kid. My concerns don't stem from past traumas, but instead are rooted in a manner of wanting to be a conscientious and mindful parent. How do you have these conversations without aging your kids/opening them up to topics that they may not even be thinking of? For example, you're getting older. You shouldn't be sitting on people's laps, etc. Signed, a conscious conscientiously concerned mom.
>> Um, well, first eight, first, well, let me answer the first question. Um, most of Issa's friends that are boys are kids of my friends.
So, in effect, we it's like, you know, cousins, black people cousins. So, and then she's got her friends from school >> who are boys, >> right? Um, and I think they have a group chat or something like that. Um, >> that they're all in.
>> That they're all in, right? Um, so yes, I guess would be the answer to her first question. She has friends who are boys.
>> Okay.
>> Um, the second thing I would say is you have to work as a parent to not look at everything through your adult lens right away.
The first response to like if a if I saw a boy feeding Issa food, let's say, would be to have would be to be like, "Yo, you don't know where his hands have been. Don't let him put that in your mouth."
>> Not make it some intimate thing.
>> Right. Right. Right.
>> It's unlikely that.
>> Yeah. Like you're jumping and she's eight, bro. like you're are you're jumping way ahead and putting ideas as she acknowledged in her email in their head. So you're you got to stop looking at everything through your lens.
>> Yeah. But it's a child of the opposite sex >> which which also is just a peculiar way to write it. So I think you have to do some unpacking on why you're there. And I I guess she kind of said I think her interpretation of young people today is that they're because of social media they're expo exposed to more. And that's probably true, but that doesn't mean >> kids are less touchyfey today, though.
>> Well, according to reports, I don't know. But but uh but once again, just because you're exposed doesn't mean you're interested.
And so, you have to you have to know your child.
>> Yeah. And I think it's a case by case basis. Like, if you don't want her sitting on a boy's lap, you be like, "Hey, tell her specifically about like maybe not. Let's not do the lap thing."
You know what I mean? and tell her how it makes you feel and why you don't want her to sit on the lap, but don't stop the friendship.
>> But also too, you also as a parent have to recall what you've allowed behaviorally with your child all the way back to like when they're 1 2 3 and four years old. Because if you allowed your child to be playful in this way and sit on uncle's laps or sit on brothers and cousins and da da da and people that they're affectionate with that is not sexual and then they have a friend with so and they're really friendly with someone and that's the behavior that's been normal and you to make that an issue now is going to be confusing to them. And yes, you're going to have to explain to them time and place, right from wrong, and da da da. Probably sooner than like. Issa is not just sitting on people's laps and walking up to dudes. Why? Because when she was young, I was the only man that she did that with. Same as with Salasi. She's just not out here holding dudes hands.
Like that's not something that her brain is going to be comfortable with >> until a long time from now. You know what I'm saying? But that's for safety reasons me for what this woman is concerned about which is your kid.
>> Where do you draw that line though? Cuz right I'm sure you have other loved ones your your other friends with kids will pick up you know can pick up salassi.
Yeah.
>> Like so where do you draw that line? I'm just asking it from as trying to learn myself. Where do you draw that line?
>> Well, it's really just about like it's not often. It's not every day. It's not all the time. It happened at a birthday party or it happened at a a cookout, but it's not like all the time that I'm just like, "Here, hold my child."
>> Right. Right. Right.
>> And if my child if they reach out to pick up my child and my child doesn't reach out in return, don't pick up my child.
>> Right. They're not into it.
>> If they're not into it or you know that and both of my kids so far are not the like, hey, I want to just be passed around and carried by everybody.
>> Right. Yeah.
>> And that might be a personality, >> right? And some could be and you could still be teaching them that like, yeah, but these are our this is our inner circle. These are people you >> and you and you have to deal with their personality accordingly, right?
>> So, I don't know. I for this parent, I think it it sounds like you've already started having the convos.
>> So, now you just got to keep having the convos and see if she And also give your child, in my opinion, it's my opinion, I'm not a professional, give your child space and ask them if they understand, >> right? like like do you actually understand what I'm saying or are you just hearing it and you not really grasping >> why there's nuance here and things like that you got to practice that with you >> most of the time when you ask them you'll find out and you'll be surprised that they don't know what you're saying they don't understand so you have to explain to them >> because you're projecting a thing >> yeah cuz not to do something I always tell her I'm like do you understand why and sometimes she'll be like no cuz you said so and I'm like no let me explain and she's like oh okay mommy That makes sense, right?
>> Yeah.
>> Well, and so and I I think I've talked about this on the show before, like Issa with clothing. I had to because her body type explain to her when she's six, seven years old why she can and can't wear certain things.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
>> Because you look older and people are going to confuse you with someone who's older in in in ways that you're not ready for yet.
>> That's a good way of doing it. That's a good way of saying something without saying too much.
>> Right.
>> Right.
>> You're just not ready yet. it's too soon or and by the way I always reaffirm with my with with Issa so far and I'll do the same thing with Salasi. What you're thinking and feeling is completely normal. There's nothing wrong with your thoughts. Completely normal.
You're not in trouble. But let's just talk about time and place and timing and these other things. Uh so so we all agree seem like a lovely parent. You obviously love your daughter. Um you have the conversations also. I I think chill out with just maybe a tiny like her having a a friend who's a boy who she's comfortable with, who's clearly someone she knows, doesn't have to immediately elicit panic.
>> Well, not only that, but as a parent, she has to stop and think you you encourage this friendship. The boy is in your car, >> right? This is your friend.
>> You're that you've already embraced him as well. So now that that So if it was her and her girlfriend doing the same thing, would you feel the way you feel?
So, you're projecting an idea just because he's some he's a boy. It means they're friends. It means nothing.
It could also mean something, but it likely means nothing, right?
>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
>> And trust me, I don't think if it meant something, they'd be comfortable doing it in front of an adult.
>> That's another thing, too. So, just, you know, don't spiral. Have the conversation and take every situation as a case- by case basis. But on top of that, just love your child and communicate. He'll say gurus.
>> Yeah, parents, chill out, man.
>> Uh, let's see. I think I had a super chat before we And also, some parents, y'all need a reminder of what you was doing at 8 and N years old.
Parents be trying to act like you was mad innocent at 8 n years old. You was listening to Trick Daddy and Trina.
>> Eight or nine. Trick Daddy and Trina.
>> Yeah.
>> No. By the way, >> I was listening too short.
>> By the way, if you were eight and your parents allowed you to hear Trick Daddy and Trina, >> not allowed. Not allowed. It's not about allowed. I'm saying it happened. You heard it in passing. It's not like something your parents were. Now, there are parents who were. I'm not saying there weren't, but I'm just saying.
>> Uh, listen, right now I'm riding around listening to Kani or Chris Brown with Issa in the car. She 11.
She she's listening to Summer Walker and Scissor.
>> I mean, it's not.
>> Have you heard these albums?
>> It's not Nan, but I hear what you're saying, >> but you know what I'm saying. It's But it's not not either. It's not as egregious as Nan, but it's in there.
Sir, do we know says Tony's comment about police brutality and the death of a human being choked out for 8 minutes.
What's next? Joking about EMTT till deserved it. Just saying. Hear you.
>> Hear you.
>> It's why people didn't like it.
>> Yeah. And again, no one trusts him. He spoke at a Trump rally. That's That's the thing. He also opened up for Trump.
That was a great joke someone made about him, too, by the way. They said someone said, "Yo, uh, Tony Hinchcliffe, you're you're exactly like Melania Trump. You're famous for opening up for Trump one time."
>> Well done, guys.
>> That is well done.
>> No, there were a couple good ones. There was a couple good ones. That's the Kevin Hart roast we're talking about. T bro Lauren Rosenberg, uh, we drop a new Patreon tomorrow. I feel like Lauren, correct me if I'm wrong. I feel like Rosenberg was upset on this last Patreon. He wasn't the happiest guy.
>> I know.
>> You feel like that in retrospect. I feel that way.
>> You felt that?
>> Oh, yeah. I wasn't in a great I wasn't in a great mood.
>> All right.
>> I mean, I hope I wasn't like, you know, it was still real feelings I had. You know, one of the things about feelings, and this is important for the kids, too.
>> Oh, wait. Hang on.
>> They change.
And by the way, another thing Miss Rachel says, big feelings are okay.
>> That's right.
>> Sometimes you have big feelings.
Sometimes the big feelings change within an hour.
