Today we have one that I've been seeing in the comments a lot recently, especially just in general sinister minds people been asking for this, but specifically this time around my executive producer exotic wants me to listen to you must answer. So I'm going to I have heard silly Billy. So it's not like I'm completely in the dark of what this artist sounds like, but I also don't know what to expect out of what is supposed to be a concept album. I don't even know if this has like an actual source or anything other than just being a concept album. So I suppose I'm going to hear what has in store and without further ado, let's go.

[00:05:55]But if the entire album is like this, that's not too shabby in the slightest.

[00:06:17]Nice for the giant swell there at the end, too. Love it when people do that.

[00:06:20]Uh I really never know what's going to happen when I listen to any song, duh, but like hearing ones that are from people I just don't anticipate really good music from, like this random [ __ ] person people have been asking me to get to, usually there's a reason that so many people want me to hear somebody specific, but I just I never get enough to be able to actually go to them. Not enough comments, not enough specific uh questions about this person where I'm like, "Okay, I need to go hear their stuff." But when it's being forced into my lap by one of the executive producers, all that goes out the window, and I'm glad it has this time. They They [ __ ] They've got something here.

[00:07:01]Songs like this are always a good reason for me to just be like, "Damn, I need to listen to more music." You know, like I hear plenty, obviously, but it's songs like this that kind of just come out of nowhere, at least for me. I'm sure for a lot of you watching, this is something that was on your radar for a while before release even, and especially afterwards, but this is just really well done from somebody I never would have expected. You know, it's like, "Who the [ __ ] is Cherney Gurmey?" You know, like I've heard one song from this person in an FNF mod of all things, so it's like, "Okay, I didn't really expect to see more." I didn't even know when I started seeing Sinister Minds that that was the same person. And now that I'm hearing this, I'm like, "Oh, they've got some ideas." Like, "Oh, [ __ ] Gurmey got hands." Like I there's some really good ideas in this song and just the main chord progression is interesting enough. We have a G sharp minor, F sharp, E, D sharp, I believe, and then like C sharp minor.

[00:07:58]I think it goes back up to that D sharp.

[00:08:00]And like that's where we kind of stick for a lot of the chorus. That's the progression there. There's obviously a lot more movement and honestly so much movement, it would be really hard to explain every single movement that happens in this song. But that's why it's so interesting, right? Like I don't have the time to explain every single thing that's happening. That would be unrealistic. And that's how you know that the artist is doing art things.

[00:08:23]That they're showing a side of themselves that has a true evolution to it. The song doesn't sit still. It's the simple fact that even when things are kind of doing the same chord progression, they're moving just a little bit in a different direction.

[00:08:36]It's like constantly shifting things around just enough. Like I'm pretty sure there's an A sharp minor in here and like there's an E sharp, which is actually an F. And like that's a whole thing later in the song. This song evolves to the point where it almost does I think it does do a full key change. Either that or it's just a modulation. Kind of splitting hairs describing the difference between those.

[00:09:00]But basically this is just like um you do like an A minor, uh I think it's again E sharp going on here, G, and I'm I want to say a D minor. And then there's also a spot in here where it does like an E sus into the E. And it's like ooh, E sus 4 into an E. Ooh. You know like I love E sus 4.

[00:09:22]I love sus 4s in general. They're so fun. And when songs include little details like that, it's like oh, they know what they're doing. They're paying attention. They're not just throwing keys and chords out there and just going that sounds good. It's those little details that go oh, this is somebody who has a true vision of what they want the song to be like." Or in this case, I think two people were composing it. So, regardless of that, it's just a very well-produced song. Again, everything worked very well in this song. The mixing was great. The vocals were surprisingly good. I didn't know if it was like Tricky singing or something or if they had somebody else do it.

[00:09:57]Apparently, it was Tricky singing. So, I'm sitting here like, "All right." So, not a bad voice either, but also playing with again that grunge. Like, not being afraid to use that style and like really mess around with that and have like effects added to it in order to add a certain vibe and just again, all these sort of conceptual ideas that it's like, "What do we do with that? How can we make this sound a certain way?" Adding that like demonic crunch to it for those certain spots in the lyrics. These are probably things that were tossed around between the composers multiple times.

[00:10:29]They were like, "How do we make this feel a little bit better? How about we try this?" And probably went through a few passes of that before they landed on that specific sound. Maybe they knew that they wanted those specific moments to have that sort of demonic crunch to it. But, I love that they landed on what they did. And again, everything in general very well-produced. Like, the full production, top-down, mixing, mastering, everything about the song feels good, which is kind of uncommon for anything within like the Friday Night Funkin' and Roblox sort of like vague family. I know they're not the same thing, but they definitely share a lot of fans and users. something I've noticed. There's a lot of hit and miss for the quality control in those user bases. Not because they're bad, but because a lot of these people are indie.

[00:11:14]They're new. They're just trying things out and that's great. Always try stuff.

[00:11:18]Even if you're not confident, do it anyway. Finish the project. Put it out there. Get people to hear it. Get some feedback. Do it again. That's how art works, right? That's how you get better.

[00:11:28]You improve by letting people hear it and getting those opinions and then working your way into an improvement.

[00:11:34]There's a lot of artists that I've made videos on and their songs who come into my comment section then they're like, "Hey, thanks for the feedback. I'm going to apply that next time. Do you have any additional details you want to add that are like written out so I can follow them?" And I'll do that because I love it when people want to improve. And for this it's like you're already there.

[00:11:52]Chernobog already is doing a very good job. They've clearly been making music long enough that they've already been through that gauntlet and now they're making this and they're working on ideas and even if it's based on something else that I'm not aware of. Like I don't know if Sinister Minds is like a game or something and this is like just based on that idea. I don't know any of that. I went into this with none of that information. If you want to clarify what it is, by all means drop in the comments below, but regardless this is a very well done song and I'm sure it's going to be one of quite a few if this whole album is like this like I mentioned earlier. Damn.

[00:12:33]I mean it was already really good. This song is already a fantastic introduction, but if the whole album has ideas like this and it's not just like a copy-paste situation cuz that has happened before too, then I'm really interested in hearing how it evolves and where they go, what new ideas are they going to put in front of me.
