RPCS3 and AI, Forza Horizon 6 Leaked, RetroArch, Anbernic RG Rotate and MoreHinzugefügt:
Hey everyone, Mr. Sugjano here, your source for gaming, tech, emulation, and open source news. Let's get started.
All right, to kick things off, we're talking about RetroArchch on iOS, specifically the App Store. Now, if you remember in yesterday's video, we were talking about RetroArchch just randomly being removed from the App Store. People couldn't reddownload it. If you upgraded your phone, you wouldn't be able to get it again, even through your purchase history. Not that RetroArchch costs anything. And I was wondering if it was simply a certificate issue or just something that didn't get renewed. And it turns out it's super minor here. So they say it's a clerical issue with our Apple dev account. We'll get it sorted out, but it'll probably take a few days.
Edit, check again. It should be back. So taking a quick peek over on the App Store, and it appears that RetroArchch is back. If it's not back for you yet, uh, just be patient. and it'll probably be back pretty soon. But I think uh crisis averted. And speaking about uh crisis is being averted. Next up here, we're talking about PlayStation 3 emulation with RPCS3. Now, we talked about RPCS3 yesterday in regards to AI slop code. Uh it is worth pointing out here, it's not necessarily RPCS3 taking a firm stance against AI in general.
However, there was a lot of code being submitted that wasn't marked as being created with AI, and that was introducing quite a bit of a problem. I mean, they said this right here, and we went over this. Please stop submitting AI slop code pull request to RPCS3.
We will start banning those who do without disclosing. And that's the big point here, who are submitting without disclosing. There are plenty of resources online to learn how to debug and code instead of generating slop you don't understand. and that doesn't work.
So since then they put their heads together and generated some guidelines and they say here not with AI I don't think our guidelines for submitting AI generated code are now up in our repository. As for all the AI bros seething on our socials we're simply blocking you. Learn how to debug code and leave behind something useful to humanity when you're gone instead of peddling slob. So taking a quick peek at their guidelines here which are up on their GitHub and it's very simple and straightforward. Use of AI tools for research and reverse engineering purposes is permitted. They're not entirely against AI, just how AI is being used. However, contributors are expected to fully own and understand all code they submit. Any communication with the team, including code, code comments, and GitHub comments must come from the human contributor, not an AI agent acting autonomously. Furthermore, they say here, "Pull requests open by AI agents or automated tools must include a disclosure in the PR description stating the scope of AI involvement. Which parts were AI generated? And what human testing or review was performed prior to submission? PRs that omit this disclosure may be closed without review." Let me know your thoughts about this one in the comments below, but personally here, I think this is completely reasonable. You know my stance on AI if you watch my videos. I even talked about it yesterday. AI can be used as good. It can be used uh by an experienced person who understands what they're doing, understands what they're doing with AI and understands what they're doing behind the scenes. For example, a developer understanding how to code. I mean, it can be used to reduce uh monotonous tasks, improve speed for certain things, and go from there. But the developer needs to know what the heck they're doing. If just someone creates code who doesn't know how to code and maybe hundreds of lines of code and just submits it, I mean, that person would have no idea how that code would interact with the rest of our PCS3. They've got no idea if there's any vulnerabilities in their code, any bugs in their codes, and they wouldn't know how to fix it. It becomes a massive problem overall. Sure, AI can be used to code stuff, but at the same time, if it's a whole bunch of AI code from a whole bunch of different people with a whole bunch of different pull requests, the problems will add up pretty darn quick. AI should not be used as a replacement for someone's knowledge. It should be used as uh I don't know, an assistant, per se. But let me know your thoughts on that. But moving on from that and next up here we're talking about Sega Genesis and Mega Drive emulation and even more with Clown MD emu. And Clown MD emu just got a brand new update. So at the time of filming here, version 1.6.11 is the latest and greatest update. They've added the SVG icon to app image builds, improved debug log. Images can now be right-clicked and either copied to the clipboard or saved to a file. They fixed Mega CD support and even more. Next up, we're shifting from Sega to Nintendo and talking about Game Boy Advance emulation. Cycle Accurate Game Boy Advance emulation with Nano Boy Advance. And Nano Boy Advance just got a brand new update. So, at the time of filming, Nano Boy Advance version 1.8.3 is the latest and greatest here. They've updated Nano Boy Advance to QT6. Uh for core, improve fast forwarding adding two times, four times, and eight times option alongside infinite. Uh, UI, set default filter to nearest platform, upgrade to QT6.
Platform, fix controller lag on Mac OS, and even more. Next up, we're talking about Windows game emulation on Android with GameHub. And we've been talking about this for a while now, and it appears to be finally live. Version 6.0 is now live, and that includes Frame Gen. Now, it is worth noting here, the GameHub team recommends using Frame Gen.
So, on top of uh improved frame rates overall, it uses a whole lot less power.
They say it uses one/ird the power of native rendering, and that can really help out with temperatures and battery life and overall performance. Now, unfortunately, GameHub is closed source.
Its open- source uh competitor, Game Native, I'd say, is neck andneck in terms of which app is the best. Uh personally, I'd prefer Game Native, but that's just me here. And in my opinion uh I believe gamehub is using open- source stuff and has put it behind closed source system. Uh anyways here a lot of people enjoy gamehub and I think this is a step forward for gamehub overall in terms of overall compatibility and performance improvements. I have seen some mixed reactions in terms of the brand new UI.
Next up here we're talking about something that got a whole lot of attention the other day. I mean, we talked about it yesterday and that is the Twilight Princess uh PC, Android, and iOS port, also known as Dusk.
Anyways, here taking a look, there's a brand new update and also a fix for something that also received quite a bit of attention. So, there were a lot of people on Android pointing out that uh Ilia looked uh interesting overall. I was commenting that, h to me, it looks normal. It's a new fashion sense in Hyrule, but at the same time, you can see things aren't rendering right. And it appears that uh the bug was possibly fixed. So at the time of filming, version 1.0.1 is the latest and greatest update for Dusk. And they say here, "We are genuinely moved and appreciative of the reception that Dusk has received in the last 24 hours." The stories of people reliving their childhood, honoring their late friends, and enjoying the project are deeply moving for the team to read. The YouTube trailer getting 220,000 views in 24 hours and media coverage from large and small creators brings us joy and validates the immense effort poured into the project. This release brings many fixes for common issues that people have hit with the initial release. Cheers all. So, as for what's new here, added uh Dusk data can now be accessed from the files app on Android and iOS. If you're looking for mods and texture stuff, uh this might be pretty important. On top of that, open data folder in settings and interface.
They've enabled crash reporting, but it is opt-in. Enabled game mode on iOS.
They've added an option to invert axis while aiming. And here they say worked around an adreno GPU driver bug with alpha discard. Uh Ilia hair, foliage, etc. on Android. And they've also added in here, subscribe to Mr. Sugano.
Honestly, there's a lot more stuff if you're interested and wanted to learn more about this one. Like everything we talk about, links are within that GitHub link in the bottom of the description below. I don't hide my sources. And speaking about um stuff on the internet, brutal segue. Everything we talk about is on the internet. Mostly everything.
Anyways, next up here, we're talking about Forsa Horizon 6. And this is absolutely huge. Like massive. Listen to this. I've seen this reported in a whole bunch of different places. Leaked. Forza Horizon 6 files got leaked via Steam DB.
Devs accidentally released the files via an update and forgot to encrypt the preload. The massive 155 gigabyte build containing thousands of files was spotted on Steam DB shortly after the update went live. And it does seem that uh a copy of Forsa Horizon 6 is now circling around the internet.
Now, it is worth noting here, Twisted Voxil is reporting that Forsa Horizon 6 players running leaked copies are reportedly having their Xbox accounts banned. And there is a screenshot here, and it appears there's an Xbox account ban, and it says suspended for cheating, unallowed modding. Now, Fors Horizon 6 isn't scheduled to launch until May 19th. However, some people do have their copies early legitimately for review and performance testing purposes. I believe the Fox has an early copy of Force Horizon 6, and I believe that one's also legitimate. Uh, anyways, here, uh, I'm wondering if this is going to impact sales overall. I'm really curious to see, and I'm also really curious to see how cheating involves in the game now that there's a copy out there, um, an unencrypted copy floating around. Let me know your thoughts on this one in the comments below. And speaking about um upcoming stuff in May, next up we're switching from Xbox to Nintendo and talking about the My Nintendo store. Uh it appears there's going to be some rebranding here and I don't even think many people are going to notice. I probably wouldn't have noticed at all.
Uh but it's been announced from Wednesday, May 27th, 2026, my Nintendo store will be renamed Nintendo Store.
Let me know your thoughts on this one. I really wouldn't have noticed. and continuing to talk about stuff happening in May. Next up here, we're talking about the Directive 8020 or just Directive 8020. Now, taking a look, this game really wasn't on my radar. If it was on yours, let me know here. The game is releasing tomorrow, May 12th. And taking a look over on DSO Gaming, and it's being reported that the game has already been leaked and cracked. Now, I don't know about you, but that's really interesting. A couple of games around the exact same time getting leaked and cracked online. It's just I don't know.
You don't see that very often. Or maybe you do. But taking a look here, I mean, this game wasn't even on my radar. And well, now it kind of is. Like from a marketing perspective, uh I'm now interested in possibly wishlisting this thing. And speaking about uh wishlisting stuff, next up, we're talking about the Steam Machine. Now, the Steam Machine is the upcoming console like PC from Steam.
We've talked or from Valve. We've talked about this one a ton. Anyways, it appears that Valve has learned from the whole Steam Controller ordering kurfuffle to uh make the Steam Machine on a kind of reservation Q wish list system similar to what the Steam Controller is doing. To be honest with you, I'm hoping that Valve follows through here for that reservation system so hopefully more people can get it and less scalpers get it. Uh we'll have to wait and see. Honestly, I don't even know how many numbers of these things will be available, but based on how popular the Steam Controller is, uh we don't even know the pricing yet. So, if the pricing is relatively reasonable here, I think the Steam M machine is going to be a very hot ticket item.
There are a lot of people really, really interested in one. And speaking about um interested in hardware, next up here we're talking about Retro Gamecore and Amberick. And Russ from Retro Gamecore has posted a brand new video here on the Amberick RG Rotate. We've talked about this one in previous videos, and it's a very interesting device overall with a flip screen. Now, taking a look at the review, I do recommend checking it out, and if you are interested, you know where the links are. The review is very thorough. It's almost 40 minutes long.
The D-pad on this seems uh like it leaves quite a bit to be desired, and that immediately puts it in a no buy in my book, but at the same time, it's a very unique device. From my understanding, the Hamber RG Rotate is now available for purchase. And uh let me know your thoughts on this one. When it was unveiled, there were a lot of opinions on it. a lot of people excited that Amberneck was doing something relatively innovative in the space.
There's a lot of people interested in the hinge design, the emulation capabilities, and the overall functionalities of this. Um, based on my opinion here, I'm not interested at all because of the D-pad. I mean, I primarily play fighting games. Uh, but let me know if your opinions have changed or have stayed the same with Russ's review. And speaking about videos from fellow content creators, last up here, we're talking about Techweave. And Techweave has just put out a brand new video that I'd recommend checking out. I mean, this thing is super cool. The game, well, the video as well. And if you are interested, you know where the links are. The video is titled Quad, an entire FPS game in 64 kilobytes. Yes, you heard that correctly. Uh, overall, taking a look at the game, I mean, it's in it's fascinating, and stuff like this is right up my alley. And who knows, maybe it's up yours. Uh, but overall here, I mean, this game just has some charm to it that's really hard to describe. Some nostalgia, some innovation. It's just it's a really cool project overall. And this video from Techweeb is less than 12 minutes long.
Quad is a free game, but it is name your own price if you did want to support the developer. The developer has a development log about the game, too, if you wanted to learn even more about it.
Um, overall, the specs on this are super low as well. Intel i5 at GTX 7708 gigs of RAM and well a whopping 64 kilob of disc space. Let me know your thoughts on this one. I mean, this is definitely up my alley. But anyways, that is all I've got for you in this one. Straight to the point, all stuff and no fluff. We talked about a bunch today.
