Subjecting a one-day-old infant to spinal adjustments is a risky departure from evidence-based neonatology that lacks rigorous clinical validation. Avoiding minor surgery does not justify replacing it with unproven manual therapies on such a vulnerable patient.

One day old baby Ariel gets help with his latch!Hinzugefügt:
[crying] >> Get picky picky. You say hi.
She had your baby. Congratulations.
Thank you.
How old now? Two days. A day, actually.
>> One day old. And who do we have here?
His name's Ariel. Aw, cute baby. He smiles. How was birth?
Um it was a little traumatic. He had low fluid, so had to get induced 37 weeks.
Um he was facing sunny side up. Mhm. So it was rough on the way out. Um already gassiness, a little bit colicky.
Mainly the latching. He hasn't been able to latch. He will latch on the binky and the bottle, which is good.
But >> [music] >> just very poor sucking skills. Um the midwife that came to look at him today said most likely he's got some knots.
Some verbal what? Some some tension, yeah. Orally she checked he's like preferring one side already. Okay.
All right.
Got a tongue tie, tongue and body. Okay.
>> [crying] >> Got some work to do with this suture here. Have you felt the the ridge here?
>> Yeah.
Yeah.
>> [crying] >> Here you go.
It's so relaxing.
So this is a good stretch to help loosen the tongue tissues. Mhm. The whole sack and whole you know fascial sack that goes all the way down the toes.
Good.
Beautiful.
Good.
Keep going.
You're doing so good.
I love working right away on that head. There's so much we can do. Reduce those overlaps like quite a bit. That's the first thing I noticed when I saw him. Oh, yeah.
>> [laughter] >> I adjusted his back immediately. It was really bad. Then we did a little bit of stretching underneath his tongue to help relieve some of that so he had more movement.
And then we did some more work with his neck and his blades.
Thank you so much.
>> Yeah, you're welcome.
All right. So, this is an update video.
So, who do we have here? This is Ariel.
>> Ariel. And what's How's the update? So, originally we came because he was born a little bit prematurely. He had a lot of trouble latching. He had tons of kind of fussiness and overall gas. And also a lot of tension on his neck and jaw. And we had to syringe feed him for like the first one to two weeks. And we really feared having to do a a tongue tie snip. Um luckily, thanks to you, we did not need to do that. His latch has improved. He's now latching onto not just bottle but breast. He sleeps now up to 4 hours at at a time at night, which is a miracle. Um and he's just overall much, much happier, less fussy or colicky [music] as they call it. He's He's just improving so much day-by-day.
So, thank you. You're welcome.
>> been amazing. Yeah, and behind the scenes you helped us with our toddler as well. Thank you so much.
>> You're very welcome.
Okay, baby Ariel. You have a great day.
Thanks [clears throat] for coming. Thank you for your help.
