So, I'm here and I'm going to point out all the signs and symbols and all the things that I have noticed that um most people might not even think about looking at looking into. [00:07:17]You get infected by rodent droppings, urine, saliva and it is now ir aerosolized in the air. There is also now a human to human spread. Early symptoms are fever, muscle aches, fatigue, headache, you know the same thing. Nausea, vomiting, stomach pain.

[00:07:34]Later and severe symptoms are going to hit your lungs, cough, shortness of rad fluid in the lungs, shock, kidney failure, bleeding. This is highly lethal. Up to 40% of whoever gets it will die. Currently there is no cure.

[00:07:50]There is just support pretty much supporting the patients in any way that you can. Whe So if that includes a ventilator, if that includes ECMO, just supporting them until it passes. So prevention is pretty much our defense. As of today, the US monitoring confirmed tied to that ship.

In Arizona, there is one person under observation and supposedly there is an undisclosed amount of people in California who is being observed. There are now five confirmed hauntus cases, three deaths and three suspected cases. A married couple, two Dutch people, they died and one German passenger has passed away as well. There is a Swiss passenger being treated in Zurich right now. Several evacuated patients are being treated in the Netherlands and in Germany. and one British passenger is in ICU in South Africa. Countries currently involved in monitoring, contact tracing and isolation include the US, UK, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, France, Denmark, Spain, South Africa, Australia, Singapore, and Taiwan. I say torch the whole summer. Stay indoors and let the games begin.

There is no widely used vaccine or anything like that. Your outcome if you are infected greatly depends on how early you catch it. So the reason why you're seeing people freaking out on your timeline right now is not because it's easily as spread as co the hunter virus but because the effects are a lot worse. But remember you don't even have to worry about the hunter virus. Okay? Just as so long as everyone on that cruise ship who's contaminated stays where the hell they are.

So, here's my advice. It's not about antivirus. It's the basics. Practice good hygiene. Be careful with food storage, exposure to rodents, cover cough, wash your hands, stay aware, stay educated. Do not panic.

Don't go out and try to spread it. Don't do it purposely at least, you know, if you know. And I highly recommend like, you know, drinking lots and lots of water and staying hydrated because at the end of the day, um, yes, there's going people going to tell tell you what you should and should not do, but also you should also follow your intuition. Like what do you feel? Like how do you feel?

You know, stay away from people so you don't spread it. But I do feel like the other virus has prepared a lot of us to be ready for something like this because the other one kind of came out of nowhere and people were panicking. So I think a lot of people are still panicking with this one, but I do feel like more people are more prepared [snorts] and I just I just hope that there's not another lockdown because what do you mean? And the fact that, you know, um, the other one was just so bad where people were like being heroes and the companies you work for would pretend that they care about you. Oh, you're this great hero D. I mean, while you're working in this in this thing, honestly, I just don't see myself still working and and pretending like I care to be a hero. I just don't care. I don't care because at the end of the day, you really see that they really don't care about you after everything. You know, they only care about you during the time and not after everything. I have to tell you like sorry I worked the whole time during the previous virus where I couldn't even see my family right I was taking care of other people and I could not see my own family and to the point where my father who I actually wanted to take care of at home because he was in a nursing home ended up passing away in the nursing home I didn't see him for a whole year the entire year I didn't see him meanwhile I was taking care of other stranger you know other people's family which at the time was very rewarding but once you finish all of these things then you realize that basically the same company that you work for, the same job that you work for basically telling you uh you cannot work here unless you take this vaccine that is provided.

And everybody that I know, literally, my friends will call me and they had that big old mark on their face because of the mask. You know, we used to wear the gas mask because they we all got one. And you have to wear it all day long, all 12-hour shifts. And I'm just like, it's for the birds. It's for the birds. I'm sorry. No, we're going through too much right now for me to stand up and say, I'm going to be the hero. I don't care.

[00:20:58]The health ministry is this evening putting Jamaicans on alert about the spread of Hanta virus, a serious illness that is transmitted mainly through infected rodents following a suspected outbreak on a small cruise ship in the Atlantic Ocean. Three people have died and another is now in hospital. The vessel is currently off the coast of Cape Verde and has 149 people on board.

In a post to its Instagram page on Monday, the Northeast Regional Health Authority, NRA, cautioned Jamaicans that persons can become infected by breathing in contaminated dust or touching contaminated surfaces and then touching the eyes, nose, or mouth.
