How to make a little bit of money Stretch👛

[00:00:00]Hello everyone. Welcome to Toys Pink Money Clip. Thank y'all so much for being here. So y'all, I wanted to do a video showing you how to make a little bit stretch. So when I first started cash planning, I started doing ones and fives in just a plain envelope. And it worked out great. I started saving for Christmas and back to school. And so when I really got the hang of things and just started really liking it, I got me a binder from Amazon and I started doing other categories as well. Now I don't think I did this many, but I did more than just the two I was doing at first.

[00:00:34]And so I wanted to show y'all how to make just a little bit stretch. And y'all know I've showed y'all a little bit goes a long way. Consistency is always key. So I'm going to show y'all how to make a $100 stretch. And I picked out the categories that are important to me and that's what you do as well. Um nobody can Nobody's cash stuffing, cash planning, budgeting is going to be like yours. Everybody's going to be different. It all depends on your household, on your budget, all of the things. First of course you're going to do is pay your bills, take care of your responsibilities, anything you have to do, and then decide when you when you figure out what's left over, then you decide what you want to cash stuff and how much you want to put in each sinking fund. Um a lot of times I get questions about how do you get started or how do you know how much to put in each sinking fund?

[00:01:27]Well, that depends on you and your budget and the sinking fund depends on what's an important What's important to you or your household. Like I said, when I first started doing it, I was saving for Christmas and back to school because I noticed that I always go over on those things, especially Christmas. Always. So those were the main things that I wanted to save for. You may want to save for taxes. You may want to save for vacation. You may just want to save for groceries. Um whatever you want to do is up to you and your household. So, I got my categories here that I'm going to be um stuffing and the cash stuffing will be tomorrow. I'm going to do the cash planning now just to show y'all um [snorts] how I'm going to make $100 stretch.

[00:02:14]And this pencil Well, this is actually a makeup brush holder, but I've always put pens and pencils in here. This came from the Dollar Tree and y'all they do have blue just in case you're not a pink girly, they do have blue and I'm sure they're going to come out with purple as well. That's going to be really pretty.

[00:02:30]So, let's start with savings.

[00:02:45]So, savings I told y'all um in one of my videos that I was starting over. I can't remember, but in one of them I told y'all I was starting over.

[00:02:56]So, savings is going to get five.

[00:03:04]Y'all this pen These pens are so pretty, but my little crystals or whatever they are are just not lasting. Yeah.

[00:03:13]And at first look at first they did all right until I started using them using this pen a lot, but yeah my little crystals are Sadly, they just falling off. So, emergency y'all So, emergency has a challenge.

[00:03:31]And I don't have a low number on here anymore. So, what I'm going to do is just add what I want to and you can definitely do that even if you're doing a challenge. And just say you are at 35 on your challenge, but you don't have 35. You don't have to worry about that.

[00:03:48]Just add what you can. So, So going to add $5. And then y'all at the end you're going to end up with more than whatever your challenge is. Mine is a thousand dollars. So me putting that five in there is going to make me end up with more since I don't have that denomination on here.

[00:04:08]Savings and emergency is something that I always want to stuff for even if I'm doing other challenges for emergency I still want to stuff for it. Taxes is going to get eight.

[00:04:27]Holidays is going to get five.

[00:04:37]Um we're not doing the 26 week challenge but we are doing back to school.

[00:04:45]Very important.

[00:04:47]So back to school we're going to do the lowest number we're going to give it five.

[00:05:02]And as you can see these are quite a bit of categories to stretch so that's really good.

[00:05:10]So that's all in that binder.

[00:05:21]So we're at $28.

[00:05:36]So kids is going to get three.

[00:05:40]And this envelope I use for like the movies the arcade for me and my son.

[00:05:47]Home maintenance is to get three.

[00:05:52]I think almost everything in here, yeah, is getting three. Sam's Club medical me time Now, education, I'm going to give it just a little more. I'm going to give it five.

[00:06:17]And this is for my son's senior year and that is coming soon.

[00:06:38]And now we have 48.

[00:06:43]Um So, car maintenance is going to get three.

[00:06:57]This is a category that's very important to me as well and I use this for oil changes or you know, whatever whatever I may need, but mainly oil changes.

[00:07:10]This is for our lawn and we're going to give it three as well.

[00:07:16]Utilities is going to get five.

[00:07:24]And dining out is going to get two.

[00:07:29]And birthday is going to get two.

[00:07:36]So, that is all in this binder.

[00:07:49]>> So, we're at 63.

[00:08:01]So, this is for the other birthday is for family and friends. This is for my kids and I'm saving for a birthday in the fall and I have two kids if you're new.

[00:08:12]Birthday is getting three.

[00:08:16]A boy and a girl.

[00:08:20]Father's Day we are going to give it two.

[00:08:28]Mother's Day is getting two as well.

[00:08:36]Thanksgiving is going to get three.

[00:08:43]Christmas is getting five.

[00:08:48]And Valentine's we are going to give it two.

[00:09:01]Okay.

[00:09:18]So, we are at 81.

[00:09:23]I don't know if that's right.

[00:09:25]I think I gave something an extra dollar.

[00:09:28]But, we'll see at the end, but I think I gave someone an extra dollar. So, we are doing the Barbie challenge.

[00:09:38]Is that right? Yeah.

[00:09:41]So, where are we?

[00:09:45]Section seven. We're going to give it two.

[00:09:59]Okay, that's correct.

[00:10:08]Yeah, I gave something a dollar that I wasn't supposed to.

[00:10:15]A extra dollar. Okay, so the $5 challenge.

[00:10:22]That is this from Baddies and Budgets.

[00:10:26]And we are going to do how many are we doing in here? We're going to do two fives for 10.

[00:10:40]So, we are at $92, y'all.

[00:10:48]And then lastly, we're going to show some love to some of our smaller challenges.

[00:11:00]And these are from Etsy and I laminated them, y'all. They're so cute.

[00:11:09]So, we're going to give our purse $4.

[00:11:33]We're going to give our coffee $2.

[00:11:49]And our heal, we're going to give it $2 as well.

[00:12:02]And that's all for this binder.

[00:12:08]And this binder should be in my Amazon storefront if it's not sold out. It's very, very soft. Very soft.

[00:12:25]And there you have it, y'all, $100. So, we made this $100 stretch with all of these categories.

[00:12:33]I am so very happy and even though I started off um doing this after I did the fives and the ones in the envelope, and I after I started off doing this, I still do this, y'all. If I have a small amount to cash stuff, I'm going to cash stuff because it helps a lot. I remember thinking it's not going to help if I had $20, $50, whatever. I used to think, "Well, that is not going to do anything." That is not true. Um as you can see um in my update video, it was over $3,000. That was not what I was expecting at all, but that money adds up so fast. So, stay consistent. If you have to spend it, spend it. If something happens, something comes up, that's life, spend it. Just start over, pray, go on. That's it because I did have to spend out of savings because we had so much going on with graduations and other things as well. So, but that's fine. I'm going to start over and everything will be just fine. So, y'all make sure you the main thing is start. Don't wait, just start. If you have $5, start. It's very, very important that we have savings because things do happen and you also want to be able to breathe. You know what I mean? To be able to if something comes up to be able to pay for it and just go on. So, it's very important and then that way your children, your grandchildren will see you doing it and that's how my daughter started wanting to do it on her own. She asked on her own for some of my savings challenges. And so, when they see us doing stuff then it helps a lot. You know?
