A day in the life of an African village boyAñadido:
Good morning ladies and gentlemen and uh welcome back to my YouTube channel. I go by names of Mr. Toumb just you can go and sub so you can go and subscribe and tell a friend to tell a friend to subscribe. I'm coming live and clear from eastern part of Uganda and uh you can see this is where okay so this is eastern part of Uganda and uh you want to see that right now I'm carrying a I'm carrying a basin and closes. So I'm moving. You can see this is where I'm have been staying all over here in the eastern part of Uganda. So I'm with my father and uh right now uh he's going to show me a river nearby so that I can wash from the river as I requested. I wanted to experience nature right now.
I'm experiencing typical uh village life in Africa. So this is hard what you can call typical village life in Africa. So, uh, for him, he's going in the in the garden, uh, uh, to do some plowing and sewing of the seeds. But for me, I'm going to enjoy the river, washing out the river. And, um, yes, come and go with me. As you can see, we already passing in the garden. We are not passing in clear like clear path or clear road, but we are heading to the river to enjoy village life. You see how we are enjoying the village life guys.
Okay. So leave a beautiful down a beautiful comment. Leave down a beautiful comment and like the video and then we enjoy the nature.
>> Okay. So my dad is explaining to me how here they measure the land. Oh, when you want an how they measure they're saying he's saying like you get they get 10 ft time 40 that's the widest and then the ranks they get 10 ft times I think 10 10 ft* 10 that's the how they measure na and here na goes to close I think close to two $2,000 yes okay so we are still moving inside the garden you can see this is a maze plantation you can see here right now They are growing. See this is maze. This is casava. And uh even here they grow genuts, they grow rice, they grow sugar cane and a lot more.
And see that gentleman is spraying the crops.
Okay, these are spray. They're spraying maze. I think you can see. So that uh you can see like some of the some of the some of the maze are being affected by pesticide. You can see like this one like this one is affected by a pesticide. So that's why they they're spraying.
Yes. And my dad is requesting like if they finish spraying they want to assist him on his sprayer so that he can also go and spray his own. You can see here they have also they are all here planting the the beans. They have some beans in the in the maze. And this one and this guy is correcting some veggies naturally and it's free of charge. How are you guy?
>> You're fine.
You're correcting dom.
>> Okay. Thank you for the work. I Okay. So, the gentleman is picking some raw vegetables at zero cost, you know.
Okay. Okay guys, this is where we are coming to get the water for washing. But it looks more like as if like a soap inside. I don't know.
My father was saying like they use this one to to clean to clean the Okay. So he says when I say that this water I cannot use it for like for cleaning my micro because yeah okay the other water is a little bit dirty so we are moving to get to show he's moving to show me where we may see some clean water. I I want to see where they can get a clean water for for basing.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> He's show he's telling me that they like use when they're washing to use this local I mean this water from from the ground because when they get water from the bo doesn't doesn't wash well.
Okay. So, this is the end of the water.
He's coming to show me. But, uh I'm a little bit scared. I may go back. I still I use bo water because this water is looks more that you know if even going to fetch you have to first pass down okay you can see it we are parking in Welcome.
So he's I'm saying like if I may wash using this water I may not wash I may not wash the white clothes that I have and he's asking me that do you have any white clothes that is more whiter than the one I had. Oh my god my sandal is being Oh my god. You see I'm being caugh by mud.
Okay.
So right now I think you see my sand. You see sand is right now full of mud. So it's I think it's better idea now to move with bare foot. And I leave the sandals here. You see you see my fruits.
We're in Africa guys. Welcome to African typical village life.
Okay.
Let me wash this.
Okay.
So, okay. My dad was convincing me to wash.
Okay. My dad was convincing me to wash using this water, but I cannot wash using this water. No way. No way. No way. No way. He's convincing me that, you know, when you wash using this water, the that the the closes look more nice. They look more clean. And um it's not good to use the boa the boa water when you're washing all those kinds of words. And uh me I'm saying no no no no I cannot use this. You just see how they look like.
They're very dirty. Very dirty. And there's no way how I get my clothes and I wash them using this water. No way. No way. No way. No way.
So me high average and he has said that if I feel like I'm fearing to wash using this water hey he's asking me that will I be able to know the the root I'm telling him I'll be able I'll be I'll manage to know the root me I'm going back I cannot wash using this water let me just get a jan and I go back I'm going to go to the bo hole and then I wash I will wash using the using the Bahor water even though he's saying like saying like no the Bahor water doesn't wash well but it's more clean it's more clean than this you imagine if I'm I have white trousers so imagine washing my white trousers using this this water it could look more messy man soh let me go back I'm going back guys I'm not washing using this water I'm going back you're getting that I'm going back. But this farm looks more beautiful. I'm liking the farm. This farm looks more beautiful. You see, you see like that that is there. There is a garden of sugar canes. And you can see like here it looks more like a a farm for grazing cattle and all that. And this one looks it looks more beautiful. Yes, it's big.
They have enough space. I wish like this was my like my compound and my children could pray around, you know.
You know this is what this is why I admire maybe a big land because I know like when I have a big land my children would have an apple space for praying because you know where I am my children don't pray they don't pray because of the space I don't have much space so the children don't pray my My clothes is full so that I can go and wash home at home using the bo water.
But you can see guys, you can see this area. I'm liking it. See all these mangoes that are hanging that are hanging on the the tree. You see you see all those mong mangoes. You see even in upper you can see even in this next in the next tree there is a lot of mangoes there. A lot. You see that? Very many.
Even down. Even this one that is down.
It has a lot. A lot. A lot. Wow. It's beautiful. It's beautiful.
Washing on the river. Mission failed. So right now what I do, I get these jerikans and I go and get some water from the power hall to get go. And uh I'm taking two jurikans on the B hole to f some water. You can see these are different cows which are here for the neighbors. See how are you?
So you want to keep you want you want to bring some problems.
You're from You're from fetching. You're from fetching water.
Yes. Hello. Hi.
Okay guys. So that is how here the village life looks like. You see long days of the sun and rain for actually the rainfall is raining but mostly it is raining at night. Most of the time it's raining at night and uh during the day you spend the whole day with the sun enjoying the sun. Yes. And uh I think if you want to live here well you just buy a hat to to protect you from uh strong sunshine.
How are you?
>> Yeah.
>> You're fine. How are you?
>> I'm fine.
>> You're fine. How are you?
>> I fine.
>> You're fine. How are you?
H you cannot manage you. Okay. Those are the kids I have just met on the way and you can see how beautiful they smiling.
So beautiful. Yes. Coming to pick some water or to fetch water on the bord. I think the ref water comes here and become stagnant here. I don't think like this is her because this becomes a very good place for multiplication of mosquitoes and uh I don't know how people cope up with mia in this area. So I'm coming here. Oh no I'm coming here on this B to get some water. Can see there is a girl already fetching.
Hello how are you?
Okay. See that's how they do just the more the more energy you put in at lifting the the river or the is it lever or lever something like that. That's the more water that comes.
It's full.
You see the more he uplifts the the the that machine that's the more water that is coming in.
See that?
It's down. It's going down.
That's my Jerica. That is has to go. You put And this young boy is like pushing the river for me.
Yeah.
wants to take water using the bicycle and you know here it's common where the girls can ride the bicycle but like in our in our community when they see a woman riding a bicycle they said this is crazy you know I want to push you this one facing you extended this one like a little bit down Okay.
Now guys, the boy has seen me struggling is taking the the jerry can home because I can see they're from the boour up and then he's saying like let him help me like to carry the jerry cans by putting them in a wheel bar.
>> Okay.
Okay.
Oh my god.
Okay.
Oh my god. So there he helps me carry them.
High five.
>> High five.
>> High five.

Okay. I give you elder one. You go and buy sweet and you give to all these ones. Okay. Okay.
You buy sweet and you give to all all all the children. Okay.
Okay.
Okay. So since these children really whenever we are meeting they are really smiling. So I can give them that some sweet because I don't have some sweet.
So I gave them some money to go and buy some sweet. I think they are going to really be happy. Yes. They are really going to be happy.
Okay. And then my boy here is helping me carry the carry the the the jerikans. So Oh.
Oh my god.

You just wash and you put on the sun dry and you This is just living off grid life in off grid. So it's even lunch time. My father prepared for last lunch and then I let me shift to the chair and then let me let me put here under the shed so that the sun is too much. Let me just put it here under the shade.
So this is kava casava portion or cava and you're still enjoying the yesterday's chicken. You remember you remember yesterday's chicken because we we are typically very little here. Oh, we are very few here. So, one chicken is taking us more than 2 days to finish.
Let me just wash my hands.
Okay, then we go and enjoy the food.
Okay.
I'm done with fooding. Oh, taking my lunch and uh I think I have to go to bed because we are going to go in the service at the church. So uh yeah, let's me let me first go base and then we see what will follow.
And right now we are heading to the church service. You know nowadays we are going to the church like never before.
So we are going to the church service. I don't know whether the service is even taking place. Me I'm just going with my dad and uh we shall see what you follow.
You get that.
>> So you want to see this is a trading this is the trading center and uh you know I was with my dad moving to the church. So I first moved to the trading center a little bit and uh he told me that they moving here now that's where the church has to be or it is that they have some can I call it like it's like a service and then okay let's reach there and see how or how it looks like or how the service is going is the church I think you can even see that people are already there I think that uh this the one This that is made from grass is the one is the church. I don't know I since they facing this side I think I'll have to pass here so that I can reach through behind. I doesn't want to sit in front. Yes.

after the service because it is was like a a a small party so they are going to they giving out food but are they giving me food they giving me even pork and I don't eat pork so and they don't know but you can see there people are washing clothes uh the the hands and I'm also going to wash hands but uh remember they are giving me pork and I don't eat pork but maybe they I return it and I will I request for more food. Not cold.
So they asking me like why are you not eating it? You have food and you have also washed their hands. I'm telling them that I don't eat pork. I don't eat pork. So you can see the ready is coming to pick the food. He gave he is giving the food to someone else and then they exchange for me is going to go to someone else. So they exchange for me they give me the food I take.
They have brought for me another food which is rice and uh beans. Uh because uh they are giving me meat and they don't have any other type of meat except the pork or the pig meat and I don't eat pig. So they are giving me beans and rice and still they they taste wow because their taste is wow. They cook them well. So I still appreciate Heat. Hey, Heat.
