Modern corporations prioritize profit maximization over employee welfare and customer value, using the phrase 'it's not personal, it's just business' as a shield to justify layoffs, hidden fees, stock buybacks, and reduced quality, creating systemic exploitation where workers and consumers are treated as expendable numbers rather than valued individuals.

Oh, it's not personal. It's just business. That phrase ruined a lot of people.
>> I found out this morning that I am one of the people laid off from Meta.
>> Here's the seasoning for popcorn. Here was the seasoning a couple years ago.
>> Americans who are waiting on their tax refunds have now had those refunds suspended.
>> What's up? You got KO'ed? It's here.
Now, we've all heard the phrase before.
It's not personal. It's just business.
It sounds harmless. It's professional, even rational. But honestly, that phrase became the excuse for screwing people over for companies and corporations for them to have zero guilt.
>> Your job don't give a about you or anything you got going on. How I just get fired. All right. I got an infection in my hand. I got an infection. I went to the urgent care on Wednesday night.
They gave me some antibiotics, sent me home. I was in pain all night. Literally crying. in pain, right? So, I called in the next day. All right. This morning, I get up, get ready for work. I go, you know what I'm saying? I'm ready to go.
They gave me excuses on why not to come to work. Okay. So, I stayed home. So, I come speak to the boss, man, and I get fired. Right. Look at that. Years of loyalty, you get an infection, you get sick. Hey, man, you don't have enough PTO and sick time left, so we're just going to let you go. You're not going to be able to be that effective anyway with that messed up hand, are you?
>> 58% of companies announced they will be laying off this year. I'm going to add this is not because of AI. This is because our economy is collapsing every single day. All self-inflicted by an 80year-old dementia criminal who has gone bankrupt six times.
>> Hey, look, it's nothing personal. It's just business. People hate on Trump a lot. Love him or hate him. It's not just one guy that does all this. So, let's keep it real. We can't just blame Trump if you're in that camp, okay? You just can't do that. But look, these companies don't care. They only care about the bottom line. And realistically, AI is cheaper than you are. So, hey, let's let you go and uh, you know, keep doing our thing there so we can make more money.
Guys, this story is about to get crazy.
What we're about to get into is a take on layoffs and job loss that has never been done before because it's not personal. It's just business and that's what the approach is now. So before we continue, go ahead and click subscribe.
That way you don't have to worry about it later and you can pay attention to the story. Let's go. Can you guess how many Skittles are in this pack?
This is literally four Skittles. What the actual heck?
>> If you're thinking about it right now, what do Skittles have to do with getting laid off? It's got everything to do with it. It's got everything because they don't care about you. They don't care about me. Meaning, they don't care about the employee. They don't care about the customer. All they care about is the bottom line. They know they're going to make money off of you. So, nothing is personal. It's just business. And that's the real nice friendly excuse to just keep you coming back and make you not too upset and just keep partaking in the system that's really taking advantage of you every possible way.
>> But there's currently a $2.25 25 million settlement going on right now over claims that customers were allegedly charged multiple times for out of network inquiry fees during ATM visits at certain 7-Elevens. And this all happened from 2018 to 2021. And honestly, most people probably never even notice these fees being taken out.
>> Yeah. So, Bank of America got hit up with a lawsuit cuz they're charging small little fees and you know it's adding up to a large amount and people like don't notice it because individually it's not a lot but you put it all together it's a lot and they're getting sued for it. But what about all the all the times that like we don't notice that these companies again don't care. They just want your money and they're going to do everything they can to keep screwing over the little man.
Let's keep it going.
>> We're seeing something covered one month and then the next month the insurance is like no sorry not this time. You're out of luck. It is absolutely ridiculous.
And of course, patients are blaming the pharmacy because we're the ones that they can see when in reality, the insurance is doing it. Navigating this situation is like trying to hit a moving target while blindfolded.
>> I mean, when it comes to health insurance, we all know that that stuff's most of these plans are a scam and they're super expensive. People are apparently paying for it for years and then denied for their medications because the insurance company, for whatever reason, decides to go, you know, here were the rules, but now the new month started, so now there's new rules of what we're going to cover. at least. Hey, if you're overpaying for your health insurance or you want to see if you can save money, go to my website, healthnerd.net. It supports the channel.
Link is in the description.
Healthnnerd.net. You can see if you qualify. Most people save a few hundred bucks a month. Anyway, >> I decide I'm going to give AT&T a chance. I've, you know, just been curious, right? Worst decision of my life. Okay. Literally, right after switching to AT&T, that was on the 3rd of May. May 3rd, that Tuesday, I literally go on trip for for work, come back Thursday, Friday evening, Saturday, had a party all day. And I'm noticing while I'm out of town that my service isn't that good. Something I've never had with Verizon. Again, you get what you pay for.
>> And with AT&T, I did this switch, too, like late last year. And what happened, we we got six new phone upgrades.
They're like, "Look, you're going to get the brand new iPhones. You upgrade them.
we're going to give you 800 bucks for your phones and your monthly bill is going to be less. Now, the only part of that that was fully true was the monthly bill was less. But what happened was they were going to send gift cards 800 bucks per phone. That's what they said.
What actually happened was the first month I got build like 4,500 bucks that I didn't expect straight out of my bank account, okay, to pay for the new phones. And then I call in and they say, "Oh, yeah, we're going to reimburse you with the gift card." So, I get the gift cards and it's not 800 bucks per. I got anywhere from 3 to 500 bucks per. So really, I took a net loss of a couple of grand. Thanks a lot, AT&T. Soon as this contract is up, I'm switching back to Verizon.
>> What UPS hasn't widely disclosed is their plan to replace good paying union jobs with gig economy workers. In 2021, UPS quietly acquired a company called ROI for over $500 million.
ROI is like Uber, except you're not picking up human beings. You're picking up UPS packages and then delivering them. The gig economy and apps like ROI are often criticized because they're able to capitalize on a loophole that allows them to misclassify workers. That means no benefits, no worker protections, and no overtime.
>> You see the disguise? Like this is where it gets so dark. There is a disguise among this. And it really like Do you see the pattern? Why I'm calling this it's not personal. It's just business.
They literally laid off 30,000 more people. They're like, "All right, don't take it personally. We're just growing our business here. We're going to hire ROI, who's going to deliver the packages for us, and it's going to save us money because we don't need to classify them as an actual employee or pay into anything for them, you know, like we did for you guys that got laid off. You don't they don't get any health insurance or any benefits. So, we save money all around. It's good for business."
>> Found their website so people can't cancel. Who am I talking about?
Microsoft Live for no apparent reason other than corporate greed because they're not saying why. They just went from $9.99 to $29.99.
30 bucks to play live a month. So many people started cancelling their Microsoft Live that they just shut down the website and said, "No, you can't cancel." They don't need to give a reason why. It's pretty clear. It's evident. They want to make 3x their money, make more profit. Why not? Sure, they get some people cancelling.
Ultimately, they're going to spend less money providing the service and charging more for it. are still going to make more money. And if they make it hard for you to cancel, all the better to them, right? It's just business, baby.
>> This is what airlines are actually charging in 2026. Every single one of these is real. $45 for your first check bag, $55 for your second, and you can pay as much as $65 for a carry-on.
You'll pay $100 if your bag is one pound overweight, and $150 if it's oversized.
You'll pay $33 to pick your seat, $48 if you want an exit route, and $160 if you want some extra leg room. And Southwest, the airline that for 50 years told you that bags fly free and seats are open, started charging for both. They're expected to make $ 1.5 billion in seat fees alone this year.
>> Fees on fees on fees. Talking about fees, if you guys want to call me anytime, go ahead. There's the number down below. You can call me anytime. I think it's like $2.99 a minute. So, it seems a little steep, but you can get a hold of me if you really want to. Now, let's check out some fast food value that we can see from KFC today.
>> $26 for two chicken tender meals at McDonald's or at um KFC here in Huntington. And unfortunately, >> pathetic.
>> It is pathetic. We even went so far as to get the extra cheese curds.
And that's what we got. If you think she's lying, you just haven't been to fast food that often. This does happen.
You literally order a three-piece. You do get three pieces, but it looks nothing like the picture because guess what? The business needs to get more money. It's not about providing you value anymore. Now, then we've got things like this, like, you know, we already know the corporations are trying to screw everyone over and get money from them. Here's like a regular average Joe. And what a new thing that people are doing. You're probably going to see this popping up all over the place.
Anyway, >> something is about to happen that only a few people know about and you're early.
You were not supposed to see this video, but since you did, I want you to listen very closely because what's coming has not happened in years. And the last time it did, it turned regular people like you and I into millionaires. Now, this isn't drop shipping. It's not crypto.
It's not even affiliate marketing. It's something completely new and almost nobody is talking about it yet. That's why it's wide open. And if you can type words on a keyboard, you can do this.
It's faceless. It's simple. And it's happening right now. So save this video and then comment how much money you want to be making each and every single month. It could be five grand, 10 grand, or even $100,000.
Then follow me because tomorrow I'm dropping the next piece of the puzzle.
>> Totally. Like, let's scam everybody, man. I'm a little man and I'm going to scam the little man so we can all be crabs in a barrel and and pull each other down with these stupid scams. I don't know what he's selling. He's definitely fishing for like subscribers and all that um on his Tik Tok. You'd actually be surprised with how many comments that is. I'm not even going to tell you this guy's Tik Tok name because you you don't need to be scammed by that. But look, it's not just the corporations. Everyone business. It's just business. We just want to make more business. It doesn't matter what happens to you. It's nothing personal. Stop being such a, you know, stop being such a wimp and taking things so seriously.
>> I'm going be interested to see if gas prices fall at all once they start implementing the E-15. because all I can see is that the the gas prices keep going through the roof, no freeze in sight on the prices. And what's going to happen after all this, in my most humble opinion, is that uh gas prices in most places will probably spike up way higher than they normally are. And uh typically down here where I'm at, a normal before all the BS happened, it was around 230, 240, you know, a gallon. And now the national average is 450. They're expecting it to be seven bucks by the time midsummer rolls around. And the oil companies have no real reason to want to make oil cheaper or to produce more so that the price goes down. There's no reason for it. They're literally selling the same product for double the price.
Like imagine if you bought a ton of these hats, like these hats, and you were selling them for 10 bucks a pop, right? And then all of a sudden everyone wants these hats cuz no one else has them. And you can sell them for 20, 30 bucks a pop. Are you going to lower the price? No, you're not. You know why? Cuz it's just business.
>> Back in the day when they laid off 30,000 people, it's normally because the company didn't have enough money to support those individuals. Maybe it's performance, but this a slap in the face. They going to give her 30 M after you laid off 30,000 people. We all heard about this. Oracle laid off 30 30,000 employees a couple months back.
Apparently, they hired a new CFO and are paying her 30 million a year because that makes sense. a company that's struggling, you know, they're going to lay off their employees, but then hire a 30 million CFO cuz guess what? It's actually it's going to save them money and with AI and whatever else they're doing, they're going to save money. They don't have to pay 30,000 people. Why not pay the CFO that she was probably her idea to lay them off? So, they're like, "Here's a fat bonus for you." B a trillion dollars on stock buybacks. And again, you don't have to be a Wall Street expert or a stock expert to realize that's just artificially inflating stock prices, right? You buy back your own stock, there's fewer shares, the price goes up, shareholders win, and guess who really wins? The seauite. And just to put that one trillion in perspective, I can't believe nobody's talking about this because again, you're not creating any additional value within the organization or outside of the organization by investing in people or technology, process, whatever it is. You know, it's literally just creating false value within the organization. Uh to give you an idea, Meta uh for example spent 30 billion on buybacks. 30 billion of their of their earnings and laid off 20,000 people.
>> Look, man, these companies know all the tricks in the book and they're going to play them and spin them in any way they can to make themselves look good. But ultimately, just remember, especially when it comes to big corporations, it's not about you. It's not about the employee. It's not about the customer.
It's about the business. And this is the real pattern. The phrase, "It's not personal. It's just business has become a shield. It's a way for them to justify layoffs, price hikes, stock buybacks, fee creeps, things you don't expect, drops in quality, automating things with AI, paying you less money, everything is just business. And when everything is about business, nobody has to feel bad."
In the first day and a half of 2026, Canada's top 100 highest paid CEOs literally made the same amount of money.
It will take the average Canadian worker an entire year of work to make. The average Canadian worker makes about $65,000 a year. These people made that in a day and a half. That is how bad wealth inequality is becoming in this country. They are literally playing in our faces. Back in the day when companies had pensions and stuff, the ratio to CEO versus like regular employee pay was like 10x smaller than it is today. And what happened was the companies were able to grow really fast because employees got paid for their hard work. They got paid more. They got raises more. They had a pension and all that. But as these companies got bigger, they realized that they don't really need to do that anymore. They can just make money off of all of our backs teaching uh treating us all as SL Avery people. Um, you know, it makes sense for business. Anyway, >> are you AI?
>> Sir, I am not AI. I am a man named Victor.
>> Why are you saying it like that? Why do you talk like that? I'm sorry. I'm sorry. There's like there's so much going on in the world right now and I feel like this is my last straw.
I'm sorry. I I trust you.
>> I am not AI. I am a man called Victor.
AI. Customer service saves money. You don't need the reps. But I mean, you actually do. When's the last time you called customer service and you spoke to an AI and you actually got the answer you were looking for and didn't have to be transferred to a human. I can truthfully say and accurately state that a zero times.
>> Okay. I'm still at Kroger and like I just want to know what everybody else thinks because this is my this is my basket.
Okay. And there's two lanes open. Now, this is this is a really big Kroger.
Like like there are Hang on, I'm going to show you. Like, look how many lanes there are. And there's only two that have actual people checking them out.
And I'm just not sure how that makes sense.
And how do they decide that? You know what I mean?
>> They decided it because selfch checkckout saves them more money. Again, they don't need the employees. They don't really care if people steal some stuff. They're still saving money by buying that selfch checkckout machine paying once versus paying a employee every two weeks.
>> If you're working at a big company in corporate America, do not underestimate just how bad the job market still is in 2026.
I talk to hundreds of job seekers each week and they all tell me the same story. They apply to hundreds, if not thousands of jobs. They hear back from about 1% of those companies, mostly rejections. And most of the time they're getting ghosted by agency recruiters, in-house recruiters, or just not hearing anything back at all from companies.
>> Dude, you have been making this same exact video for like 5 years. He's saying it like it's unreal or untrustworthy. This guy's been making the same video because nothing has changed in 5 years. It just continues to stay shitty. Like, you know that phrase, don't quit your day job. Now is seriously not the time to do that. But if you've never seen the movie Cool Hand Luke, there's this really interesting moment where Luke, played by Paul Newman, sort of socially engineers everybody to work really really hard while everybody on the prison work gang uh is taring and sanding this old long long long country strip of road. And as they're working harder and harder and harder, they they finally finish. And the character uh played by uh George Kennedy, I believe, looks at Luke and goes, "Well, what do we do now? There's daylight left. What do we do now?" And Luke just replies, "Nothing."
And I think about that scene often. I'm not kidding when I say I think about that scene about once a week because it's, you know, such a a 180 from what labor is actually like. You know, here you have these guys on a prison gang that are allowed to finish their job and then go back. But when you go to your 9 to5, any type of efficiency that you give will only ultimately serve in having those gaps filled by someone else's, someone inefficient, someone from another department, uh a new micro task that ultimately isn't even important, but they just want to hand you busy work.
There is no reward for efficiency.
>> And this may be the darkest part of modern business today. It's not the companies want to make money. That's normal. That's why companies exist. But people are increasingly feeling like the workers doesn't matter. The customer doesn't matter. Loyalty certainly doesn't matter. And we're all simply a number which we are a means to an end.
And that end is more productivity and more money for the business. It's not personal, guys. Don't take it personally. It's just business. You got screwed. You're going to get screwed if you haven't already. And nobody cares.
Guys, look up here. If you look up here, that's the next video. If you do care and you want to support the channel, that's the next video. If you like this video, click the next video. Click the next video.
