How a 13-year-old became feared in clubsAdded:
How did the neo-Nazi group work with you on the start?
>> close with my cousins and I was going to go up there and spend the summer with him. He wasn't [music] home when I first got there. I always remember this. I walked up into his room and there was like a swastika on the the wall and then there was [music] these newspaper articles he had pinned up and like wallpapered to the wall about neo-Nazi skinheads.
And it had the article about the Geraldo [music] thing that just happened.
>> Geraldo Rivera had done a report about white supremacy, right?
>> a show and there was a fight on the show. It was like one of the first It's what Jerry Springer built this whole career because that show skyrocketed because there was an actual fight live on television between these neo-Nazis and some black activists, some other activists, and some anti-fascist kids that were in the crowd. And I remember [music] asking him like what some of the stuff meant because I remember like this was the bad guy that everyone talked about, right? So, I remember saying like what's up with this? And he was started to tell me that like Hitler was actually a good guy and that he was actually for the white [music] race and the only reason why we only hear bad things is because they lost the war. And I sat up in his room.
And these older neo-Nazis would come over and they used to climb up on his balcony and they would come [music] drink and bring beer and sometimes they brought girls and they had tattoos and they had cars and they were cool. So, these guys would start talking to me and even the girls sometimes, which was cool, you know? Are you okay? I just never heard those type of words. So, if someone asked me what's it like with someone finally saying like, "How's your day? How's your life?"
And I enjoyed people asking me about me.
