XRP IS LIVE ON SOLANA

[00:00:02]XRP is live on Salana and that of course is shorthand for there is now wrapped XRP tokenized on Salana. Um, and you know, it's it's interesting. So, this is actually something that we knew was coming like several months ago, but then it fell off everyone's radar because it just didn't happen. And I actually admittedly hadn't thought about it probably since then. That hadn't come up, you know, out of sight, out of mind, one of those types of things. Uh but this this is great and you do love to see it and it does to whatever degree and it's debatable to what degree. Uh it does drive demand for XRP. It is resulting ultimately in increased utility and I'm going to share with you perspectives from some people within our community on this. Uh I I think unquestionably uh it's it's a net plus.

[00:00:48]Doesn't mean that there aren't risks associated with it. uh as is frequently the case when it comes to investing or many things in crypto um especially due to let's be real technical complexities of various things. Uh this is something you love to see. So I'll break it down for you. But before going further I do want to be clear I do not have a financial background of any kind. I'm just an enthusiast who enjoys making YouTube videos about cryptorelated topics. but just as a hobby and just for fun. All right, so it was a little cryptic at first. Here's a headline from B in Crypto shared on Yahoo Finance. It's titled, and this is from April 15th, so a few days ago, Salana drops mysterious XRP post. What could it mean? And here it was. This is the post from April 15th. Salana, this is the official Salana account. 3.7 million followers. This has been seen 2.3 million times now. and all they wrote was XRP with this very short video with the Salana logo with a short animation. Um, okay. So, that had a lot of people saying uh what basically that was great. I like I like Bank XRP's responsor XRP and Salatada friends. It's very it's so friendly. It's you know what it's nice to see a bit of freaking peace in in the world of crypto because damn people are tribal af. You know what I'm saying? So, it's nice to see this. But, um, we did know, uh, ultimately that this is coming, or at least we were told to expect that literally months ago. Here's a headline from CoinDesk from December 11th, 2025. XRP lands on Salana, Ethereum, and others in boost for Ripple ecosystem. And of course, uh, that's that's a stupid thing to say, calling it a a Ripple ecosystem. Uh, no. We're talking about actually just XRP, which is a very different thing from a company that happens to have a headquarters in California. One's a company, one's a decentralized cryptocurrency. I know, hard to figure out, right? Well, apparently it is for Coindesk. They they've been conflating this uh pretty regularly for over a decade at this point. Um, so anyway, we we knew at least we thought we should know that it was coming. Uh, finally it did happen.

[00:03:09]Oh, and by the way, I don't pretend to know everything. If any of you know why we had such a long gap because this is supposed to happen months and months and months ago. Um, I didn't see a good answer for that. Maybe I just missed it.

[00:03:33]Wrapped XRP launches on Salana enabling broader DeFi access for token holders.

[00:03:40]XRP holders can now access Salana's DeFi ecosystem without selling their tokens, Salana said Friday. XRP is a digital asset native to the XRP ledger, a decentralized public blockchain designed for fast, lowcost transactions, Salana posted to X. WXRP wrapped XRP is live on Salana via Hexrust and layer zero. And so that's the actual post. Um XRP is live on Salana. Um which again is I mean XRP never leaves the XRP blockchain. Like we get this, we know this. Uh some people don't like this wording. Um look at all the stuff that we we have allowed. I mean like including the word premine. Like if we're going to allow that it's okay to use XRP is live on Salana as shorthand for XRP's tokenized somewhere.

[00:04:32]I I I think that's okay. I think it's going to be just fine. Just saying. Just my two cents. Anyway, uh piece continues. The move allows XRP holders to retain exposure to the asset while tapping into Salana's trading liquidity and yield opportunities.

[00:04:47]The move should expand XRP holders exposure to the asset while tapping into Salana's decentralized finance ecosystem. WXRP is a onetoonebacked representation of XRP designed to expand the assets utility. Typically, XRP has functioned as an institutional payment network, while Salana operates as a decentralized application platform powering the emergent DeFi, NFT, and gaming economies through raw speed and developer flexibility according to a paper published by Ledger. Uh, and then look, look, they can say that if they want to. I like Ledger, that's fine. Um, there's obviously overlap though. Um, and there will never be one blockchain to rule them all because there are always trade-offs. If something's really strong at one thing, there there there's a reasonable chance there's going to be a trade-off somewhere else. But yeah, broadly speaking, if you're just talking about payments, XRP thrives there. But there I mean, there is um I'm not saying it's the best, but I mean, he's talking about NFTs now anyway. But there is an NFT ecosystem. I'm just saying on the XRP ledger. Just saying, man. Uh in December, a similar move, Hex Trust said it planned to issue in custody WXRP to expand the assets use in DeFi and crosschain applications. Hexrust said the wrapped asset is fully redeemable for native XRP held in its regulated custody and users will also be able to access yield opportunities through supported DeFi platforms. At the time, Hexrust said WXRP would become available on Salana, Optimism, Ethereum, and Hyper EVM.

[00:06:27]And then they said, quote, uh, this is actually a Ripple uh, Ripple X SVP Marcus Enfinganger. He said back in December, quote, there's growing demand to use XRP across the wider crypto ecosystem and institutions, and so we are excited to see Hexrust address this demand. It also fits naturally with the work we're doing with RLUSD, giving people a regulated way to access DeFi and manage their XRP positions across supported chains. End quote. So, it is obviously true that because XRP has already found the level of success that it's had that it's likely to just get more and more adoption. It's uh it's kind of in line with the Lendy effect.

[00:07:10]You know, it just it just it's here.

[00:07:12]it's persisted and then it gets more free adoption purely because of that there is interest in it you know uh it's it's the it's the same concept in well in a way as to why I keep saying yeah it's it's great obviously that XRP for instance has spot X there spot XRP ETFs and those are just going to keep growing obviously just let the years pass let the years and decades pass they're going to be way bigger than they are now although we've had an incredible start I will say but the cool thing is because XRP's already had all of the success it's had At this point, it also gets chucked into multicoin ETFs, which I actually predict I think that's going to be I think that's going to be frankly for people who don't want to engage in self-custody, the preferred way to invest in crypto will be to purchase ETFs that are multicoin. And XRP just gets chucked into that because it is.

[00:08:00]And so that's just another way in which because it's already had success, it gets more success. Well, this is kind of an example of that. You're seeing X like why did they even bother to build this?

[00:08:08]Well, because XRP already found success.

[00:08:11]it has already won or else they wouldn't waste their freaking time very obviously.

[00:08:17]Um anyway, piece continues. Hex Trust emphasized that each WXRP corresponds to one XRP held in segregated custody uh segregated custody accounts that are issued or burned only when the underlying asset is deposited or redeemed. After Friday's move, WXRP is now available on apps like Titan Exchange, Jupiter Exchange, Meteora, and Phantom Salana also said. So, I mean, I I think it's cool. You love to see it.

[00:08:47]This this is this is good stuff here. Uh here's what Brad Garlinghouse, Ripple CEO, had to say about this. Demand for XRP keeps growing. More access, more ecosystems, more utility. Spot on. That is exactly in line with kind of what I was trying to get at which is that be XRP's already had so much success. But it snowballs there's more and more because there's already that attention.

[00:09:09]There is a thriving ecosystem. More people want to be a part of that in various interesting ways including this.

[00:09:16]That's the idea that I was getting at.

[00:09:17]That's the core concept and that's what Brad Garlinghouse clearly has noticed here. I think more access, more ecosystems, more utility. Exactly. And if something is useful, a if a cryptocurrency is useful, ain't going to zero. If there are people in businesses that are using it, it's not going to zero. So then what's the alternative?

[00:09:34]Well, the alternative is as more money flows into crypto, XRP will increasingly get a look, which means money ultimately flowing in. I sure as hell believe that utility matters and will win the day.

[00:09:50]Better part of a decade at this point.

[00:09:52]It is true. Uh there's also this post from XRP community member Crypto Insight UK and I thought I'd share his perspective on this. He wrote, "Most people are saying the XRP Salana integration does nothing for XRP. That's not quite right. If XRP is wrapped one to one, real XRP gets locked on the XRP ledger while a representation trades on Salana. That doesn't guarantee price goes up like an ETF because it can increase velocity, not just reduce supply. But here's the part people are missing. It opens XRP to a completely new user base. Salana traders who would never touch XRP now have direct access.

[00:10:34]Even if a small percentage buys, that's net new demand. So, it's not about locking supply equals price up. It's about expanding access, increasing touch points, and creating new demand channels. If that demand sticks, it's bullish. Yeah, I think that's pretty reasonable. Come um just it's not like it's not like necessarily any one individual thing that's part of the XRP ecosystem is the reason it's doing so well. It's the sum total. So keep throwing things on like this. It really does just add up. And it it it is genuine new adoption. It absolutely is.

[00:11:15]And it's because XRP's already found a certain level of success that we're even seeing this. I personally think it's cool to sell, but um you can tell me why I'm wrong in the comments section below, which means that you'll be wrong. I'm never wrong. Damn it. I'm not a financial adviser.
