[00:01:22]I have been to the wash area, washing my mother's mats and things like that. And I told y'all last vlog, we got a busy month and this starts off the busy weekend. We got an event tonight. We got an event tomorrow and I'm hoping this weather look at like I said it looks gloomy right now. I hope later on today we get something different and I hope it ain't no rain. But um I am headed to the beauty shop and I am also um going to have to figure out what I want to give my nephew for his birthday.

[00:01:52]I think I mean not birthday well birthday as well as his graduation cuz he obtained his masters on yesterday which was his birthday. So what a huge huge accomplishment. He got his bachelor's last year. I told him he's getting these degrees too fast. He got his bachelor's last year and then his master's program was only a year. So we will celebrate him as well as tomorrow it is Mother's Day. So happy Mother's Day to all my beautiful mothers out there. Um, hopefully you took time to do something for yourself or if it was to simply lay back and do nothing cuz those are my kind of days too, okay? And don't nobody bother me. Those are also rewarding within itself. But I got something to tell y'all. I said I wasn't going to tell y'all cuz I ain't want y'all out there judging me talking about what like where is her head? Well, you know, remember in the travel vlog, and if you haven't watched it, go watch it.

[00:02:46]Remember in the travel a lot when we went to Pandora, we got our Pandora charms cuz we have our travel bracelets which was inspired by the Porsche.

[00:02:56]We got the charm and then after we got the charm, we saw that the bridge the lock um I don't even know what you'll call it, the lock bridge or the part of the bridge where you would put your locks.

[00:03:10]We saw that. So, we went back into the um souvenir shop to get the lock.

[00:03:17]Well, your girl sat the Pandora bag down and that's where it stayed. I didn't even realize that I did not have the Pandora bag until I got a WhatsApp when I was already back in Houston stating that I left it.

[00:03:34]Luckily, I left it in a souvenir shop, which was directly across the walkway from Pandora. Um, so they knew it was mine. So they called me, told me I left it, and I hate wasting money. So when I talked to the lady, we were trying to figure out a way for them to either mail it to me. I was willing to pay and whatever. Then I started thinking it may just be more costefficient for me just to buy a whole another charm. But then God came through in a clutch like he always do. All right. When I was at the mom's and auntie's brunch at Rita's house, Rita was headed to Curacal, which she went to Curissowl on Thursday. So, she's picking up my charm for me. Yeah, I'm so happy. I'm like, I hate wasting money. I also hate being forgetful and doing stupid [ __ ] like I did. Like, I should have never set that bag down and forgot it. I should have put it in the bag with my um my uh other souvenirs which I had my niece asked me for a shot glass. So I had this bag. This big bag was on my arm. These are the shot glasses that I got.

[00:04:40]Cute, I know. Uh-huh. And um I should have put it in there and I didn't. I sat it on the counter as I was writing on the lock and I walked off. But the Most High came through. Okay. He's a on time god. That's all I can say. But we fa to pull up at the salon. So by the time I pick this camera up again, your girl going to look like something. Yes. Okay, y'all.

Y'all look.

Um and I found out with everybody else. Um I had no knowledge of it. Um they did it the way they wanted to do it. And I am all for people living their lives, doing whatever it is that makes them happy.

[00:10:44]And so um I am happy for her. She is now a happily married woman and uh yeah we congratulate her on her nuptuals. Um she had a couple ceremonies from what we were told on last night. Um she revealed it. It was a cute way. The reveal was cute. It was um a video that she had compiled of from the time that she met her husband dates and how they elected to do it. And yeah, so we got that information on last night. So the cat is out the hat, out the bag. The rabbit is out the hat or however the saying goes.

[00:11:24]She m she's married now. But anyh who, like I said, we are trying to prep because we are pressed for time as always. And uh once I get myself all the way together, I'll pick y'all back up. We are a chef driven restaurant. A lot of our inspiration does come from the Caribbean. Little bit of Asian and African influence, but we are definitely southern rooted. You'll see that in our menu. Starting off with our appetizers, I absolutely love our creamy seafood dip that is made with shrimp crab. has also served with the kitchen garden house.

[00:20:49]The cons to that particular restaurant for me is I don't like the parking.

[00:20:54]Number one is downtown. That's another one. It's downtown. I hate driving downtown and the parking is terrible.

[00:21:00]You can do street parking or you could park in the parking lot that's right next to or behind the restaurant or the side of the restaurant, however you want to say it. And that's $23. Um, that particular area has a lot of homeless people in that area. So, at night time, it could be somewhat uh questionable when you're parking your vehicle and getting out and having a walk or whatever the case may be. For me, those are the cons. The pros are every time I visited Bungalow, the food is amazing.

[00:21:30]So, they're pretty consistent with delivering um quality food. Um but the manager, I think that was her title. I'm not 100% sure. She did say they are getting ready to move locations. So, right now they do not own the lot. Where you have to park is owned by a company called Metrop Metropolis, excuse me. But she said wherever they are moving, they will own the lot. So, parking should be better is what she told me today. But also, I sat this on the table last night because I was supposed to pick this camera back up and show y'all because we live in different cities. Um, and Porsha is extremely busy right now. We don't get to see each other very often. And because I didn't do anything to actually celebrate my birthday this year, I'm getting my birthday present now because she was here for uh Gina's extravaganza on last night. So, I was going to open it with y'all.

Before I got into blogging and whatnot from my hard work that I did at my 9 to5, I used to treat myself sometime to Louis Vuitton. And this is what she got me. This is a notebook. It is a notebook, a Louis Vuitton notebook for me to write down all of my manifestations, my goals, and things that I am working on. And we had someone else to join the party here.

Good morning, my squad. Happy Monday. This is the beginning of a somewhat busy week. Um, but I hope to get a lot accomplished this week. We got birthday gifts to buy. We have congratulatory gifts to buy. We have doctor's appointments. We have graduation um dinners. So, this is going to be somewhat of a busy week, but I plan to everything that I have on my calendar, I plan to attend. So, keep your fingers crossed. But anyways, today we have a doctor's appointment. I'm headed back to the plastic surgeon who did my rhinoplasty. Now, those who follow me know that every six months I get a steroid shot in my nose because it helps with the swelling and it also helps with the um uh scar tissue. So, I get that shot, but I'm again going to talk to him about this side of my nose. I don't like how visible this little scar is. So, I was told I could not do um laser treatment because sometimes the laser will darken um skin, especially of my complexion. It could cause it to turn darker. So, that will make it more noticeable and I don't want that to be the focal point of my face. Um and some of y'all are very observant and y'all speak about it all the time. I've even had comments where y'all say this is a kloid. for all those out there who think this is a koid, it's not. Okay, it's not. We will get the medical terminology today. Um, but when he cut me here and here to bring in my nostrils, I think medical terminology is called the rears. Um, it did not heal as well as I wanted to. Um, so we going to discuss that again today and see um what it is we can do about it. But in the meantime, between time, um, I still was us utilizing birthday discounts that I have. U Nike sent me a birthday discount where I had a 20% off. So, I got me some Vomeos.

[00:25:45]I got me some Vomeros using my gift card and my discount. I got these in silver and I also got them in gold. So, I laid out and Gina had these on on the trip, too.

[00:25:59]But these have been really popular. Um, I also saw them in pink, but I think I'll get more wear out of these, the silver and gold. So, I laid out an outfit um a silver outfit with my silver uh Chanel bag and um silver today. So, let me um go jump in the shower real quick, get myself together, and then I'll pick y'all back up. All right, y'all. So, I made it to the doctor's office and I had to hurry up because they will not see you. If you 15 minutes past your appointment time, you need to reschedule. So, I didn't get a chance to show y'all this outfit at home. Let me check it out. Hope you don't walk in.

[00:26:50]This is the outfit. This is a little set from the Fashion Nova. I did have to have the pants altered because I had a lot of fabric going on back here. So, I got it brought in closer in to where it cuffs my waist. It is a cropped little windbreaker jacket situation. I have on my silver bomero and then I elected to carry this big old Chanel. This is usually or it should be my airport bag, but I keep it put up, but this is the bag. And then I have on my little Chanel hoops. So, this is the little comfortable outfit for today. After I leave here, I think we going to venture off into the Galleria because like I told you, I have um some birthday gifts to get. I have some gift cards still to use that I seem to can't get rid of. So, we going to get take care of that today.

[00:27:42]hopefully if it don't start raining by the time I get out of here. So, we'll play it by ear. Now, I will say the nurse came in and I told her again that I'm not comfortable with how it healed on this side of my nostril. Again, everybody doesn't heal that way. I have thicker skin. I also do have skin that could potentially kloid. Um, this is not considered a kloid though. So, I'm going to ask him the medical terminology because I have all y'all Google MDs out there who try and get in the comment section and tell me that I got a key on the side of my nose and I don't. So, um I'll ask him the medical terminology, but until he gets in here, uh I pick y'all back up. And like I said, we'll play it by ear when it comes to this weather because me and Rain don't mix.

[00:28:30]Okay, I'm being nosy cuz I left the doctor's office, got my injection, but I made it to the Galleria and I've never parked in this garage, but there's people walking out around with their shirts off. I mean, what's going on? Do I need to move?

[00:28:45]Anyways, so got my shot and what he explained was this area is a difficult area to heal for those who are extremely oily because they have pits here and pores. Um, so if you're oily sometime you can get a hypertrophic scar. So it's not a kloid. Okay, for all you Google MDs out there, this is a hypertrophic scar. So I have this scar and he did give me the option of having it cut out.

[00:29:14]However, it is a 50/50 chance on the healing. It could heal exactly like it is now like this with the uh pits and the pores there. I'm sorry, the hypertrophic scar. It could heal that way or it could heal seamlessly. It's a 50/50 chance. Now, he told me, "Take a week. Think about it." Now, the only problem that I have is that Hold on. I'm trying to watch my surroundings, too. Is that when you cutting and putting sutures in me and stuff, I would like to be asleep. Okay? I don't do well with being awake when you cutting on me and tugging on my skin and all that.

[00:29:54]Although it's a 30 to 45 minute minute process, he said, "We'll give you some pain medication prior to he'll inject it to where it's numb and I won't feel nothing." I don't know though. I'm a little bit little bit nervous. So, I really have to think on it. If it bothers me that much, then we'll go through with it. But if I feel like I can live with it and not have him tugging on me while I'm awake, because a long time ago, I I remember having a cyst on my forehead, which I had cut out at the dermatologist office. He cut it out. It was about the size of a pee, but my head was yanking this way and that way as he was putting the sutures in.

[00:30:30]No, I didn't feel nothing. And I even had headphones on. He was like, "It don't matter if you wear headphones, you still going to kind of hear when I'm cutting through." Um, I don't know. Like I said, I'm not a nurse, a doctor. I don't know medical terminology. the gristle, whatever it is. He was like, "You're still going to kind of hear it."

[00:30:45]But I don't know.

[00:30:48]I have to give this some thought, guys.

[00:30:50]But I have said from the time that um you know, my nose started the healing process, I have said this has bothered me. Um makeup makes it less noticeable, but I don't wear makeup all the time.

[00:31:02]So, we'll see. And of course, if I do decide to do it, y'all going to know.

[00:31:07]But we have, like I said, arrived at this Galleria and I need to pay attention to our surroundings. So, dang it. Ain't no more. Guess not. I'll pick y'all back up. All right, y'all. So, we made it in here. And I do know that Houston is hosting the World Cup, I think, in June, July. I'm not sure about the time frame, but I see the Galleria has began with the whole supporting of the world's largest soccer situation that Houston will be hosting. So, these are like big old soccer balls with like different designs on them. And it says, "Please leave the balls alone." But I'm sure somebody going to take their ass in there and get them moving and kicking. But that somebody ain't going to be me.

[00:31:54]Okay. I just left out of Louis Vuitton behind me. I was going to see if they would put some type of engraving or hot stamp on my gift from Porsche, but they do not because that comes with its own like binder cover. Um, but I was able to leave my passport there. And unbeknownst to me, every country that I have visited will probably have to be revisited because each country does their own stamp and of course they're out of Texas. They said they didn't have it, but you have to get it in the country where you are visiting. I thought I could reup on all my countries that I visited, especially countries that I'm not going to revisit. I can get it done anywhere. But no, you have to go to that. Which makes sense. I know I bet y'all saying, Jay, think about it. Yeah, it does make sense. All right, so I made it in Sephora and we are trying to find concealer.

[00:32:46]This is the concealer that was suggested to me. It doesn't it's a nice contrast and with a flash it doesn't do that little weird thing. So, I think I'mma go with this one. Of course, it's on by itself, so don't get too judgy judgy.

[00:33:00]And then I'm going to try the Makeup by Mario setting spray. She is saying that that is the best. Now, I did have one size. One size did not work well for me as far as the longevity um of holding my makeup in place. And it could be due to my oily skin. I don't know. But L'Oreal, the one that I got in my PR package, that seems to work well. And then I'm also gonna try Makeup by Mario so I can compare the two.

She has her athletic field trip tomorrow to KMA and she wanted a ponytail. Okay. A ponytail where we added artificial hair. So, I am not one to know how to do natural hair.

[00:35:23]Like I said, I know how to throw a wig on, put a little do one, two on a wig, but that's it. But anyways, update to the mall. So part of the reason I was in the mall was to find a gift for cousin Ty. Cousin Tai's birthday is May 17th and she is very deserving of the world.

[00:35:40]She is one that has a huge huge huge heart. She will give you the shirt off her back literally and she is one also that does not like to celebrate herself.

[00:35:50]So I was trying to find her something um that she would like of course that she does not already have. So I went with Chloe. Um that is the designer that I went with. Um, and I'll show y'all. One of the items that I am going to get her is limited edition and is only sold online. So, I did go ahead and place the order so that I could have everything together when that day comes. I want to give it to her on her birthday since I will see her that day. So, well, I don't know if I would be because we would have to leave it in the car cuz we're going to the venue. I don't know. We'll figure it out. But, I got that order and I want to add one more thing to um her birthday. Then I also need to get together the birthday basket that I'm going to make for my eldest daughter as well. So those are the things that I try to focus on on today and we got just this much accomplished. Now I have been considering this. Um like I told y'all earlier I don't know about being awake but it's been on my mind since I left.

[00:37:16]Good morning. Good morning. It is Tuesday morning. I have been woken up very early, even earlier than my alarm clock went off because today is field trip day. It is athletic field trip day to KMA. And remember last night I told y'all I did promise this hair.

[00:37:47]Don't expect nothing anything spectacular because the simplest styles are very hard for me to do, especially on natural hair. Even trying to slick her hair to where it was straight became a problem. However, she loves it. We also gonna say a silent prayer. I can hear her footsteps that the ponytail don't fly off if she get on a ride. Aka, are you coming in here?

[00:38:51]The method that was shown to me, you plat her hair all the way down. Then you take the scenic strips, the paper strips, wrap it all the way down the ponytail. And then you glue the hair starting from the base of her real hair on up, if that makes sense. But anyways, this is the style. This was the hardest part. Slicking it to where it was straight at the top, baby.

Five Below has these Bluetooth realtime translation earbuds. So, they are able to translate any language that catches only a button and it's over 100 languages that it can translate. So, I am curious to know if these really work.

[00:40:07]Okay, y'all. So, I am excited about these. I am very curious to see if they're going to work. Promise has already said, "Do you need me to speak Spanish?" So, when I get home, I'm going to set them up and I'm definitely going to tell y'all my review. But I'm eager to wear these at the nail shop. Like that's where I'm eager to wear these at the nail shop cuz I'd be very curious to what's all the he he hha and cackling about. Like I I need to know. I want a hehaha and cackle too. But anyways, I told you I had a long day. Um number one, car is back in the shop. Y'all saw that little clip. I didn't even want to talk about it then. But long story short, it started flashing at me that I need a new battery, which how? And I just got a new battery in November. Um, so I took it back to the dealership. Um, I called open another claim with Mercedes cuz I'm trying to create um, you know, black and white documentation of everything that's going on with this car. So, I took it back to the dealership. They're about to see if the battery was defective or whatever. Um, cuz mind you, battery is $550. $550. So, yes, that's that. Then I had um a issue with the people that provide services for my mom. So my mom gets services through this agency where they send out a physical therapist, occupational therapist twice a week. She also gets a nurse visit once a week and then a nurse aid which is the lady that comes in to give her a bath twice a week. She has services has um services were restarted the week of August 7th. I'm sorry, August, April 7th. And um that schedule was supposed to be put into place. Well, it has not been put into place. People will say they're coming, they never show up, and blah blah blah blah blah. Where her insurance pays for these services to be done. So, you know, when it comes to doctors and hospitals and anything medical, especially stuff that insurance is paying these companies for, y'all have to speak up. Like, don't be afraid to advocate for yourself if you need additional services or you don't like the services that are being received.

[00:42:11]And because I am her mouthpiece at this point when I contacted the agency to try and tell them what my dilemma was.

[00:42:19]Number one, there was a communication barrier. Big communication barrier. She was over talking talking me. She was telling me no, this happened, that I'm telling you, ma'am, I'm here in the residence. I'm telling you what services have come and what services has not come. So, it was just a lot of back and forth, back and forth, back and forth to where I just said discharge her from all services. So, I'll just have to do the footwork to find her another agency that is going to um operate with integrity cuz everybody these days are money hungry. And I get it. The economy is a piece of crap right now. Okay? Is a piece of crap. But if you are being paid for a service, we need to receive those services that you're being paid for.

[00:42:59]That's just pure point blank. That is another huge reason why I won't put my mom in a facility. I just don't agree with the um the business blueprint that they have inside those facilities. Um I have a relative that's in a facility now and her children have to step in and do a lot of the things that are not being done by the people. Like I think um they have it set up because of short staffing. Um patients only get three baths a week. Um, and it's it's just a lot that I don't agree with that goes on in the facilities. Um, my mom one time was on introvenous um, antibiotics and she had to go to a facility for 2 weeks and that was the worst time of her and my life. Um, and this was prior to my dad passing and I vowed from witnessing what she went through and what the other patients were going through in that facility, I was like, "No, yeah, I can't I can't let one of my loved ones go out like that." So that has been a all day process. It started from the time I dropped our internet niece off at school and it ended about 5:45 to be honest.

[00:44:08]It's currently 7:16. So I had a long day of just seems like one thing after another. But the highlight to my day, these right here. Cuz if these can crack open whatever that little conversation they got going on while they um uh filing and shaping my toes, we might have a problem. I might be looking for a different nail salon.

[00:44:35]All right, squad. So, I'm nice and comfy. But since I last talked to y'all, I did make it to pick up my passport holder. I got my initials hot stamped in my passport holder. This is a free service provided by Louis Vuitton. So, I dropped it off on yesterday and it was ready um about 11:00 earlier this morning, but I didn't get a chance to pick it up until this evening with all the uh commotion that I had going on with the agency that take care of my mom and all that stuff yada yada yada that I told y'all earlier. Now, I also been playing with these. I've been playing with these and I feel like for $10, these are worth it. It does simultaneous interpretation, so you can set it to where if someone's speaking to you, it translates right in your ear. Um, so I think these are good for people who are, you know, in like a fluent conversation with someone maybe out of the country, English is not their primary language. I think these work well opposed to like Google Translate where you have to, you know, pass the phone back and forth.

[00:45:34]They have to talk into the phone and then you have to read what the translation is and da da. It'll just talk it to you right in your ear. So, I mean, we've all wasted $10 on many things. I know I have. I think these are very much so worth the $10. It also does oneclick um translation. I played with it with Spanish um and they work just like they say they would. And this was a five below purchase. Like I said, I was influenced that Tik Tok, you know, what have you running and buying different [ __ ] all the time. I know I do. Um, so yes, these are, like I say, pretty good, especially if you're traveling to somewhere in English is not your primary language. But I want to give y'all my little review cuz I told you I would, and y'all already know what time it is.
