A yellow level high wind alert remains in effect nationwide with east to east to southeast winds blowing at 10 to 45 km/h and intense gusts exceeding 55 km/h.
Occasional showers are expected primarily favoring the morning hours.
There is a 40% chance of an isolated heavy shower or thunderstorm, particularly over southern areas of Trinidad before conditions improve by late morning. The daytime maximum temperature will peak at 32°C with a heat index reaching 33°C, dropping to a minimum night temperature of 23°C.
Critical marine and environmental hazards. High wind alert, wind speeds of up to 45 km/h can displace unsecured roofs, push out door items, and snap tree branches. Marine operations, open waters will remain agitated with moderate waves reaching 1.5 m to 2.5 m, while sheltered areas are occasionally choppy up to 1.5 m as spring tides are actively in effect. Air quality, Saharan dust concentrations are moderate and individuals with respiratory sensitivities should take full health precautions.
