This comparison effectively highlights how internal social contracts can supersede physical infrastructure in maintaining public order. It serves as a poignant reminder that civic virtue is often a product of cultural expectation rather than mere convenience.

Nothing Beats Free Vlog 5/18/26Added:
So, we just visited our local Walmart and I did not film any of it just cuz I didn't think about it, but I was low on drinks. So, we got a bunch of drinks.
Kevin got a bunch of A&Ws, which they were out of last time we tried to get some. Uh, but this is what our local Walmart looks like. And it's a nice bright sunny morning. And we actually got some time in there about 20 minutes before the music came on. And then right before we were going to leave, the music came on. So, uh, pretty fortunate in that regard cuz we I would rather shop without the music. So, we're going to go in the Dollar Tree. We have a place down here. It used to be Bargain Hunt at the end. And they're going to turn that into an Aldi. So, we're actually going to have an Aldi grocery store right there.
Yeah, they have a fence uh fence up. So, they just uh started working on it and I think I swear it's going to be like September or something that it was going to be Aldi. So, now we're going in Dollar Tree.
So, this is the candy aisle in Dollar Tree.
And I think they get the neatest things in here. I think they get some uh very interesting candies in here. They get a lot of stuff that other places don't get. And it's a smaller size, too, which is really nice.
And they have a lot of drinks here and bottles, which is good.
These are called silly sticks.
>> I tell you what though, this is the place.
>> This is the place to come if you want uh um candy. And then here's all their drink packets.
>> Look, they have the littlest tubs of Miracle Web ever.
>> Teeny tiny tubs of Miracle Web.
I know you like this.
>> Oh, look, Kevin. They've got their uh own uh hazelnut, milk, and cocoa.
And then they have their own peanut butter, too, with honey and creamy and crunchy.
Do you want to go look at the chips?
Do you want to look to see what they have in frozen?
>> Anything interesting?
>> No, not anything we need.
So, I have to always have to check out the candy and find below.
I've been watching on Court TV on YouTube, the Court TV YouTube channel.
Um, I've been watching different court cases. Uh, but then those court cases that I was watching have ended like one, they're not going to do the sentencing for a couple of months, but I've been watching. So, they posted uh the Betty Brick trial and this trial is from like 1991.
And it there's like I don't know there's like six parts with just her just where she is giving her testimony. And I didn't know anything about this case, the Betty Brick case. And apparently there was a like one of those like Lifetime movies where Meredith Baxter Bernie plays uh Betty Brick. Yeah. Um, and I don't think I would want to watch it, honestly, because I've listened to her. Um, and I've actually heard it from the horse's mouth. But what it was is, um, her husband was an attorney. And long story short, he was cheating on her. He was cheating on her with somebody much younger and much prettier that had come to work in his office, his law office. And he denied, denied, denied. He was also taking control of her life.
>> He was he was um yeah like he um she testified that he put the house up for sale because he had said we're going to move to a new house, but then it was like instead of moving to a new house, he just sold the house out from under then well she didn't have anywhere to live. I mean, and he's an attorney, so he knows all these little things and he knows uh he's apparently was a very good attorney.
>> What he can get away with.
>> Yes. But anyway, they ended up getting a divorce and uh he tried to paint up this picture of her for years and years that she was just this that she had mental problems.
And um so they got a divorce. He got remarried to the new person and Betty Brick basically went in there at night and shot them both. Killed them both.
Killed the killed the husband and killed the wife. And um so this was what the trial was about was her trial. But the the whole reason I'm bringing all this up is because I was wondering if attorneys watch trials. Like I'm thinking are attorneys watching these trials with as much fascination as I am? Um and do they feel like um do they get tips and stuff like that? Maybe some tips and tricks that they >> watching football footage from my football coach.
>> Yes. And also I would think as an attorney I'm wondering do they think oh if I if this were retrieded today maybe I could get them a better deal. So that's what I'm thinking. if some attorneys watch these trials thinking, "Oh, I could I could have gotten her a much better deal than what than what she got." And um but well, she's dead now.
She died uh she got life in prison and she died in prison. She was like I don't know like 73 or 78 or something like that.
But but she's gone now. Uh but I just that question came to me. It's like do they ever think well I could have done a better job. I could have gotten her a better deal because honestly her attorney is not up to par as far as like other trials I've been watching. Like these other trials I have been watching. It's like how do they remember? They have a whole speech basically they want to give. It's like a preacher giving a sermon but the preacher is using a a lot of notes. He has the notes in front of him. A lot of preachers do, some don't.
But these attorneys are getting up there and they are given this whole thing and they know it like backwards and forwards and there's no like um um there's no like stuttering or like losing themselves. Betty Brick's attorney, it was like if somebody cut cut him off like they the other attorney objected, it was like he it totally rattled him like he would lose his place where he was at. these other trials I've been watching, it's like they are on their game. They know exactly what they're doing and and they're they're good. And the woman who was the um the other attorney, um >> the prosecutor, >> the prosecuting, she was really good. I mean, she she objected to everything.
She was objecting every two seconds. And this other attorney was like her the defense the defense he was like he just didn't know what to do with that. You could just tell he wasn't on he wasn't as good as she was. And you're always you know just like sports people and all that you're going to get that people that are better some people are better than others. Uh so that's why I was wondering too if some people don't watch that and think I could have done a much better job than he did at this. I don't even know what his name was. I'm sure he's not around anymore. Um, so that was just one thing that uh one thing that's been going on. And then um something else I wanted to bring up to you all. I saw on Facebook where somebody posted a picture and I think some I think is it called rage bait?
>> Yeah. Where they put stuff on there and make you mad.
>> I think I think that's >> acting stupid. I think that's kind of what this was. Somebody had left. It was supposed to be a mother showed a tray at like a McDonald's and this tray was full of just garbage of their discarded McDonald's that they had eaten and they left it on the table. And she was basically saying, "Do you all She was saying somebody got on to me." She said this it it turned into a big thing in McDonald's because my family ate it's it was like a family of five. We ate and we got up to leave and we started walking away from this ta the table. We left all of our garbage on the table. It was all piled on the tray to be fair. It wasn't like all over. It was piled in one spot.
But she said we left our stuff piled on the tray for the workers to come clean up. And this elderly lady stopped me and said shamed me. She said she started shaming me for leaving my garbage on the table. And she said it just became this whole thing. And so you don't know if this really happened or not, but I'm sure there are people who feel like it's like how do you feel? Do you feel like if you go to a fast food restaurant, do you feel like you should clean up after yourself because there's garbage cans provided for you everywhere? Or do you think there is a person um >> whose job it is >> whose job it is to do that for you?
>> Um >> how you I always pick up. Matter of fact, I feel guilty if I don't clean up.
>> Absolutely. 100%. We always >> It was Smashburger. We used to eat there and that you left it on the table.
>> That's what it was.
>> I was trying to think of what the restaurant was. It was Smashburg.
>> Yeah.
>> Um and sometimes they'd come get it before you even done. And so be like, "We're not done yet."
>> And it was always kind of uncomfortable leaving it on the table because we like to pick up after ourselves.
>> Nowhere else do we do that?
>> Um yeah, we really we we like to pick up our after ourselves. Was Ashley saying that Mallisters? Yeah, I think >> Mallisters, you leave it on the table, I think she said. But it's funny because this also relates to something else that we just saw. The Kentucky Derby has just passed. We just went through the Kentucky Derby and they have a section called the infield and the infield is like the the centerfield.
>> It's the general public here.
>> It's the general Yes. The people who aren't wearing fancy clothes, the women.
>> They can't afford to ridiculous. They're not. Yeah, you might get some funny hats out there, but the women, you know, you're you're not paying a fortune for tickets. Yes. And that somebody a news reporter on Facebook showed the aftermath of the infield at the Kentucky Derby and it looked like somebody had taken a garbage dump and just dumped it, just slung it all over the field. And I told Kevin, I said, "What pigs? What?
What literal pigs to go out there and leave your garbage on the field?" And other people were commenting, "Oh, well, they have they have a cleanup crew for that. That's what the cleanup crew is for." But yeah, but I would feel guilty.
That's just it.
>> Just like the people in the movie theaters that leave their popcorn buckets and their cups. I would never ever leave ours alone.
>> My garbage in the movie theater. I would never do that.
>> And I believe you're the one that sent me that Instagram video and I've seen other ones too where after these movies they're cleaning up all popcorn and >> piles of popcorn.
>> You know what though? That's kind of like >> of course the popcorn falls out of your mouth and you drop it and stuff. That's understandable. But the it's all the cups and the >> Yeah, but this the popcorn that I saw was like >> it's like they were dumped it or threw in it >> like they had intentionally dumped it.
My feeling is that is just idiocracy because you have paid 50 bucks for that popcorn.
>> Well, they probably did.
>> You have paid a large amount for that popcorn. So, if you're dumb butt is throwing that whole bucket in the floor, then then you then that's that's a problem. That is a problem because uh you have paid so much for that. But we Yeah, we would never >> we would ne I don't even think I've ever been with anybody who's had done that.
>> Mhm. No, everybody's always looking for their garbage. Yeah.
>> As far as the infield go, I told Tammy um >> I said every time I've ever seen the infield at any kind of big race like that, they don't have a lot of garbage cans around. So, it's kind of their own fault >> for not having more >> for not having more garbage cans cuz I mean, what do you got to do? You you've drank some, you've eaten a hot dog or whatever.
>> Are you just supposed to carry that around with you while you while you're out there? You know, it's just it's it's they got to have they got to have the resources there to take care of the garbage, too. So, it goes both ways.
>> Okay. So, let's talk about >> in that case.
>> So, let's talk about Japan then. That you bring up, >> you know, that's a whole culture. They don't they don't eat. You wouldn't eat in the infield. You wouldn't have the hot dogs and the drinks.
>> You wouldn't. So, I watch um I watch a girl who I call her a girl. She's a woman, but she's younger than me. So, anyway, um um she lives in Japan and she said that it is bad manners to eat on the street.
>> Yeah. Walk around with your >> Exactly.
>> hot dog or your >> Exactly. you're not going to you're not going to be eating out in the public anyway. And she said too that if you that you need to take a bag with you, you need to take a bag with you because there aren't garbage cans. garbage. She said they took uh garbage cans, like public garbage cans away years ago. And people just know in Japan that you need to bring a bag with you if you have garbage or you need to have someplace to put it because they're not giving you free uh they're not giving you a place to throw your garbage away. She did say that they are available in a few public parks. So, she'll take her lunch or bento box or whatever she takes and she'll go to a park and she'll eat in the park sitting in a bench because that's acceptable. And then, you know, she has everything neat and tidy in this one little package that she takes with her. And but you know what though? I think that's so nice.
>> Yeah, it's very clean over there.
>> It sounds so nice. And >> I wonder if they have a uh like we have the I will call it the Starbucks culture where people are carrying around their coffee cups and stuff like that all the time. Yes. I wonder if they do that too.
Like do they carry around coffees and stuff like that around or >> I have never She shows herself shopping on every video. She goes to the store once in every single video.
>> Subway the train. I have never ever ever seen her with a drink and when she has shown like she'll blur people's faces and stuff. She's very considerate about that. Um but I have never seen people drinking and shopping. So that was a whole thing I wanted to bring up. Oh, and then the another thing I wanted to bring up to you all. So lots of different subjects I want to talk about.
I haven't talked to you in a in a couple weeks though really because we've done a lot of shopping. Are you going on down?
>> Yes. Um, we've done a lot of shopping and and you'll see us shopping in this video, too, but I haven't really talked to you. Um, is uh Walmart when every single time Kevin checks out at Walmart cuz Kevin's always the one that checks out cuz Kevin has the Apple Card. We use an Apple Card. And um believe it or not, one time we had a Walmart uh cashier that was complaining about the Apple Card. She was complaining about the Apple Card.
>> She was saying something about >> doing the Walmart thing instead >> about you should do the Walmart thing instead because she's an employee and Apple gets the money or I don't >> Apple's already got all my information.
I'd rather I give it to Walmart to sell off. Thank you. So anyway, >> Apple's already selling my information.
I'll get money. I don't want to give Walmart information, too.
>> Yeah, we're not doing the Walmart thing.
But anyway, every time Kevin checks out, you can give them a rating, a store rating. It's on it. It shows up. It It pops up on the screen at the end and there's like five stars and you can give them a rating of one to five stars.
>> It says, "How did we do today?"
>> How did How did we do today? So Kevin had a different opinion about that rating >> only because of something somebody said up there.
>> He had a different opinion about that rating system than I've always had. I've always thought that rating system is how how would you rate your visit to the store today?
>> It should be that way.
>> So like how did we how did the store do today? What like did was it clean? Were people friendly? Were you greeted when you came in with a friendly face? How did we do today on a scale of one to five? Kevin thought that rating was how was your checkout um experience?
So like how did we do at the checkout today? like but but I said if that's the case I'm checking myself out and I'm going to give myself five stars every time cuz I'm doing it my freaking >> the only reason I said that was and I do truly believe that they used that for the whole store. I did.
>> Okay. But I also believe that it ties to the cashier upfront too because someone said something upfront one time that said um um make sure you give us a five because it helps uh it helps um this this lane or this it helps me in this checkout or something to that effect. She said basically something like if you give me a five that helps me out basically, >> right?
>> Which wouldn't have been the whole store. That would have been just the person at checkout. So maybe it maybe she's saying just in general it helps her out cuz maybe the store gets a bonus or something maybe if they get a good rating. I don't know. I don't know.
>> I don't know. There is one lady >> I like the ones in the bathroom or in the especially the airports and stuff where it's just got a a red and a green and as you're leaving you can hit a red or green button.
>> Oh yeah. Yeah. I never hit those, by the way, cuz three4s of people don't wash their hands. There's no way I'm touching that back.
>> Right. Right. I just think for me it's like, okay, how was the the whole store experience?
>> I always give a four.
>> Yeah. Kevin gets gives a four out of five. No, >> unless we find everything we were looking for and everything was really nice, then I'll give a five occasionally. But >> we are at Sam's Club. We've driven over to Lexington and we're at Sam's Club. Uh we came over here last week because and I said it's so funny cuz I said this is where Kevin always comes to get his gold pig tea and then we went inside to get the gold pig tea and they only had regular. They had no diet whatsoever. So now we're coming because this is >> what?
>> Go to the next.
>> Kevin can get a lot more. He can buy it in bulk here than buy the little packages at Walmart. It's cheaper.
>> Yeah, Walmart um has just small >> I think 12 packs or six bags or 12 packs. That's what you get.
>> They do have plenty of Kevin's gold pig tea. He's very happy.
>> So, it is $16.98 >> and you get 18. So, he usually buys several. Um how many are you going to get today?
>> Three.
>> Three.
Cuz you don't want them to run out.
I would get uh they have um LA hair which I like but they only sell it in bottles like glass bottles or I would buy my LA hair because I would say it's cheaper bottles.
>> Yeah, but I don't think they have um bottles.
>> Yeah, these are these are glass bottles here. cans.
>> And I like the uh I like the plastic bottles with lids, but they're 14.28 for a 24 pack.
Okay, here's your free sample machine.
And what are we going to get today? It looks like they might have oatal bites, but I'm not sure. So, we're going to scan >> out of samples.
>> Or what?
>> It said I was out of samples. samples were popular.
>> Oh my gosh. What's interesting is they do have crispy cream donuts. You can get 15 regular crispy cream donuts for $14.24.
So, I know they sell donuts in their bakery, but you do not have to buy the donuts in the bakery. You can get actual >> Those are like a dollar a piece.
>> Yeah, you can get actual crispy cream donuts here.
So, we are headed in HomeGoods again just to see what they have that's new.
They have these really cool chest pieces for $60. And they're heavy. Very, very heavy. And I've never seen them here before.
If you like lemons, they have a whole lemon lemon theme right here. Plates and stuff. They actually have some Fourth of July sheets. Uh, Peanuts, Snoopy's Dog House, and then this one with Snoopy holding the flag.
And then they have some red and white down there. They have one of him on a bomb pop.
Yeah. I want to show you how uh cute I think this is. Ashley, as you all know, she works at a school and they're constantly doing little things for each other. They're really sweet and considerate and um they just do things to brighten each other's days all the time. So Ashley um made these two little baskets up and these are really nice containers. I believe she said she got them from IKEA. Uh but she made uh two different baskets up for different people for different reasons. And so for this person, she's giving them some Boom Chicka Pop. She's giving them some L8.
And there's some popcorn in here.
There's some tea. And then she's giving them some little candies. There's some Dove chocolates in there. And then for this person, she's given them some Boom Chicka Pop and some um Little Debbie uh chocolate chip mini muffins. She really knows what they like. Um she got them some Unreal uh chocolates and some popcorn. And then this is a um now Kevin drinks the Gold Peak um zero sugar tea. This is actually unsweetened tea. So this teacher must like the unsweetened tea. So anyway, I just thought this was a sweet little gesture and she has no idea I'm filming this or anything, but I just thought it was a cute idea just to give somebody a goodie bag or goodie box to make their day. So far this morning, we've gone in uh Meyer and we got our dry ice and then we went in Target. We just left Target, but I wanted to show you in this set of um this little uh strip of stores. I wanted to show you everything that we have available here.
>> It's a little strip.
>> Yeah, it's a long strip, but we have so many places that we can shop. This is just one. This is one of many. This is just one in this area.
>> One in this area.
>> This is Hamburg.
>> Yeah. This is in the Hamburg area of Lexington, Kentucky. And there's a lot of shopping in this area.
>> That was all Target.
>> Uh yeah. So now we are up to Ulta. Ulta Beauty. And at one time I used to go in there and get my haircut. Believe it or not, there used to be another shoe store over here.
>> There is.
>> Is it still here?
>> No.
>> Okay. Here's Old Navy.
>> I don't think the other one's here.
>> Yeah, there used to be.
>> I don't think it was on this side. I think it was on the other. No, it was here. There was Dick Sporting Goods is a really good store. No, there was a shoe store here. It was a little a little shoe store. Oh, it is still here. Rack room. We just never go there. Rack Room.
And then Bath & Body Works. Okay. Now, this one that's empty used to be Big Lots.
>> This one right here.
>> That one. Yeah, it's right there. No sign. Big Lots.
>> And then they put Spirit Halloween and Christmas in there, too.
>> And then Five Below.
And then you have uh Kohl's >> with Sephora, >> which you can tell it is. It is Sephora.
They are proud of that Sephora. And then Ross, which we've been in here once, twice, maybe twice, maybe twice.
And then the last one here is at home.
And this used to be Garden Ridge and now it's called At Home. The reason I can tell you um the reason why I don't shop in rack room shoes is because um I bought a pair of shoes there once and I tried to return them and they are very very funny about their return policy and so I just don't go there anymore.
Going in Aldi.
So Kevin found some little magnets. Show them what are they different ones? Oh, one of them looks like space. space.
>> Okay.
>> And you got the rainbow.
>> Rainbow. And then that looks like ice cream.
>> There's another one up here.
>> Those are cute.
>> Oh. Oh, look. They have a pirate ship.
>> Yeah, they got the pirate.
>> Yeah.
And then Kevin uh showed me they Oh, glitter chalk. I didn't know they had glitter chalk.
That's cool. I had no idea they had glitter chalk. And then they have a a swing seat. I like the little water thing.
>> They have Yeah, they have this water thing for your uh for your bathtub. And then they have scooters. So, they have a Hot Wheels scooter and they have a Barbie scooter.
>> Children's. So, it's just boxes.
>> Yeah.
>> They also um they also have a Bluey scooter that we didn't see back there.
And Barbie.
>> Look at those bubble things. a bubble mower and a bubble leaf mower.
>> That'd be cool.
>> We're going into Kroger again this week.
This is the same one we were in last week. It's really nice. I say that every time we come in here.
Kroger has these little headbands uh for the 4th of July. They say USA on the side. And then they have these little hats. They have uh this kind of hat. And then they have a plastic hat. They have some sunglasses and earrings. So, you get a you get some earrings with them.
They have a necklace set. They have a sunglasses and earring set. Oh, okay. I see. There's some dangly ones. They have hair pins, clips.
>> Um, yeah. Um, napkins, plate. Those plates have lost on them. Toothpicks.
right now.
>> And then over here they have like uh sand castle stuff like making your sand castles. They have buckets, bubble wands.
Those look like um placemats, but they're not. You would think that was a place mat. And then they have tools to dig with with little bugs on the little bugs on the bottom. Those are cute.
What are these? Oh, plant markers. Oh, that's really cool. I watched this girl on YouTube and she just has little like white ones in the ground and sometimes she has a trouble finding them from one year to the next and she would really like those. Um, and then I think these are the same thing. Yeah, these are the same thing except they're plastic. Those other ones were wood. Yeah, she would really like those because what she does is she keeps the the ones that actually came in the plant and she'll put those in the ground and then she can hardly uh find them some years.
I don't know. And look, cat toys. Oh my gosh. Look, a banana.
Ashley hates bananas. That would be so funny if we got her the one with the banana cuz she she doesn't Ashley doesn't like bananas and the Publix.
You saw we went to Kroger and then we went to Publix and there was there was nothing really for me to film in Publix.
We did buy some stuff uh which you'll see in the grocery haul, but uh but there's really nothing for me to film in Publix. But I have a question for anybody that has any inside information about Kroger as far as the fire department. So, anytime we go to Kroger, usually the fire department is there. Am I going to have to get Do they get their own line? Okay. I always >> They're either there already or >> Yeah, but he's like put his signal on.
Yeah, he had his signal on. I think he was I think he was coming over there.
No, he wasn't. Can I get back over?
>> Yes.
>> Okay. So, the fire department is always at Kroger. And so, we came over to to Lexington and two weeks in a row now, the fire department is always in this Kroger. So, I know they uh fix meals all the time and they eat. I mean, I don't mind that they're out grocery shopping.
It's fine. Um >> but you never see them anywhere else.
>> But you Exactly. So, the funny thing is is you never ever ever see them shopping in Walmart or like over in Lexington.
You have more choices. So, you have Publix and you have a Target and places that we don't have. You never see the fire department shop at anywhere but Kroger. So, the question I have is, do they get a discount if they shop at Kroger? Does the fire department get a discount if they shop at Kroger? I know when my dad >> they have some kind of card that they use to build the >> that you could that you can only use it for. Yeah, exactly. That's a that's a good question. Um my dad was a police officer. He retired from the police department and I know that he could go certain places and he would get a discount. Um he probably got things free too and I just don't remember. I know Jerry's was one they used to get >> Yes. Jerry's he would get at least get a discount or something. Um and there were other places where that they could go the police officers and they could get uh discounted food which I think is great. I I think it's awesome. And if the fire department does get a discount, I think that's wonderful. I think that's great that they get that. But I have to ask if anybody knows because we're just we're we're like, "Okay, why aren't they shopping at Walmart?" There has to be a reason. And I would just assume that they they get a discount.
>> I have seen them at Walmart before, but it's not very often.
>> You've seen them.
>> Yeah. But it's been the one in Winchester.
>> So maybe they didn't have something at Kroger. Maybe they need to buy socks or, you know, something that Kroger didn't have, >> you know. So >> Okay. Cuz I don't think I >> I've never seen them in the grocery.
They've always been somewhere else.
>> Oh, okay.
>> So, they're probably buying somewhere else, >> right? Well, Kroger, um the Kroger um in Lexington, the one that we go in, has a lot of the Kroger's over here do have clothes, clothing sections, and they're really nice clothes. They're uh well-made and everything, but they're also expensive. And that's just like Meyer. You wouldn't think Meyer is a huge grocery store. You wouldn't think of Meyer clothes being expensive, but they are. Uh they sell what is that? Is it Carheart or Columbia? I mean, they sell some big brands.
>> Car everywhere is expensive, >> but yeah, they're expensive. They're they're just because it's in a grocery store. I don't know. You would think that they would be uh more affordable, and really it's not. you're going to pay more if you buy clothes in those places uh than if you do buy them in Target or uh Walmart or something like that. We're at Jaggers for lunch today because we haven't eaten here in a couple weeks and Kevin ordered online. So, when I pull forward, I just have to tell him that I have a mobile order.
>> Hi, Kevin.
There might be an extra cup.
>> What?
>> Yes. What?
>> There might be an extra cup.
>> An extra cup. What did you get? Did you get you something?
>> Well, I'm glad you told me.
>> Yeah. It's ours.
>> Yeah, I would have.
>> Would you get a milkshake? It was free.
>> Free >> cuz we come here so much.
>> Yeah. Reward point.
>> Thank you.
You got to be careful with your lips.
Nothing beats spring, huh? You got a vanilla.
>> Thank you.
>> Thank you very much. You did.
I always get a Nell shake.
>> So, I get a darn good burger and French fries. And then Kevin gets a >> uh barbecued bacon.
>> Barbecue bacon with tater tots. And we always share the tater tots and French fries. And then he also, you already saw his free milkshake. So, now we're going in TJ Maxx, which is way over there. But this parking lot is always very, very busy.
We've come in Michaels and they have a whole Jonathan Adler section. Jonathan Adler at Michaels and they uh here's the picture and these are all Jonathan Adler bags. They have a big uh Connect Four game. Uh they have this uh shelving unit to display things, beach towels, pool bags.
But this whole section is uh everything you see is Jonathan Adler.
>> What is that?
>> Oh, okay.
>> They have crochet kits.
>> They've got >> Yeah, these. And then Yeah, these are the uh paint by number sets. They have a big butterfly. That would be cute. And then diamond and bead art kits.
So, it says Jonathan Adler up there. Um, these are paint by number.
And then are these his too? I guess. I guess every look I think every single thing like on the walls and everything is all him.
>> Yeah. I think all this is his stuff.
>> Yeah. This is so you can paint yourself.
>> Yes.
And I told Kevin he um I was thinking that his stuff at one time was at Target, but I I could be wrong. I don't know why that sounds familiar. It it could have just as easily been somebody else's stuff at Target that I saw these plates.
So, some different things in Michaels.
I have never seen this aisle at R or Michaels before. It's um they've got it colorcoordinated, but each section has a boa, pompoms, they have suspenders, they have tiaras, masks, uh they have little tutu, >> I think like a cheerleader cone, I guess, if you're they have beads. And I don't know what this is up here for, but I'm just letting you know they have them. Um, I don't know.
That little shelf is really cute.
And then I think the next section might be um Fourth of July stuff. We'll see.
>> Yeah.
plastic.
>> Yes.
So they have some cute pillows and blankets, pictures, bells, and then they have they do have t-shirts, hats, boas, just like all the other stores do.
Oh, these are ironons. So, you can choose your own thing that you want to put on your shirt. And then these are the plain shirts. And then on this side, I noticed that they had some that already say USA on them, which always reminds me of the ones at Kohl's.
Just a few weeks ago in the vlog, I showed you this building. This is uh on our way to Target. And I told you I said it looks like it's been condemned. Looks like they're going to tear it down. And it was an Arby's. And before what was it? Was it >> I think it was always been Arby's.
>> Or Arby. Always an Arby's. Well, they are tearing it down today. They're tearing it down right now. And this is how it looks. And so uh uh this uh area I don't know if they'll build something else back here or not. Uh but this is right at where the mall. It's Reynolds Road. It's It's at Reynolds Road.
>> Next stop is Whole Foods.
>> Okay, this is our second Kroger for the day.
I figured I would show you some of the stuff they have at Kroger. Um, some of the bakery items. They have coconut cream pie, key lime pie, >> they have cheesecakes. Yes. Bunk cakes.
>> Not quite the same frosty pies.
>> No. No. And then over here they have all the little mini um mini cupcakes. They have Spongebob and Minions and Minecraft. And then on the other side, I think they have the um the regular size ones. Uh but these minis uh we always call them popoms cuz you can pop them right in your mouth.
Uh yeah, these are the regular These are cute. The balloons make them look adorable. But these are uh some of these have flowers. There's a bumblebee. They have cake pops, which you know Kevin loves a cake pop, right? Haha. Um then they have cookies, brownies. They even have killer brownies. They have the kitchen sink ones, which we've tried. Down here, they always have some nice decorated cakes.
But they do sell donuts. They sell donuts. They sell Einstein Brothers uh uh bagels over there in the bakery.
Um they have more bakery cakes. They have a frozen section where they have frozen cakes in that section. Uh but these are like uh loaves. They have a pineapple coconut love cake, banana, walnut, zucchini.
They have a marble cake.
And it's funny, some things we get real quick and some things we never get. So like there were supposed to be some um it's been a long time ago. There were they had some um Sour Patch Kids mini um cupcakes and we never got them in our area. The Sour Patch Kids mini cupcakes.
Oh, they have tons of cookies.
>> The cookies we always talk of say cookies.
>> Yes. Not these.
>> Not those. The big ones. The ones are that are as big as a baby's head.
>> And then uh they have the donuts like pastries, scon, uh churros.
So, this is just a little bit of the Kroger Kroger bakery what they have to offer.
Lots of good stuff.
>> Now we're going into Liquor Barn. It's a local liquor store, but they sell all kinds of other stuff, too.
So, this is just a little bit of Liquor Barn. Um, they have a Whole Foods, an entire section of just foods. So, if you've never been in here before, they have like frozen foods back there. They sell lots of beer cheeses. They sell lots of um Kentucky uh Kentucky branded stuff. Liquor Barn is a uh Kentucky, it is a Kentucky liquor store. And so u it's really fun to come in here and see what all you can find and stuff that you don't see anywhere else. They have really cool displays in here of alcohols and stuff. Um, so they have uh the Stonewall kitchen which is $9.99 for red raspberry jam. Wow, it's gone up. If I see any displays that I can get a picture of, I will. They had one over here of Post Malone, but I don't know if I could get it or not. I try not to film anybody. So there is a there's a yeah it's Bud Light right here.
So it's Bud Light, but it's Post Malone's hand. And then they have a neat Makaker Mark right in front of us.
That's a pretty cool display, too.
And then here's more snacks here. They have lots of potato chips and stuff like that that we've tried. They do sell, which is made in Winchester.
So, this is the aisle where the candy candy bars, stuff like that.
And uh they sell Yeah, a lot of it's on sale. Break is the date. I'd say a lot of people don't come in here to buy candy and candy bars.
Now, we have bought a bunch in here just because we're looking for different stuff.
I know we've had this one and I think the green one. This one is Biscoff. I think we had that one too.
>> Like they have the macaron fudge.
>> Yeah.
>> And then look, they've got these little packages.
>> Yeah. Yeah. De That's a different brand.
I think that's Devon's. And this is not Devon's. Oh, no. This is Devon's, too.
Okay. So, you can just buy a little thing of it.
>> They sell cards, birthday cards.
Huh?
>> Hilarious.
>> And then a lot of this these are Kentucky made bars. So, uh, >> yeah. You know what? I don't think I've ever seen candy bars from Wraith Hunt.
>> Huh?
>> Yeah. These I I I we have um anytime I send somebody a care package, I always send them Blue Monday candy bars because these are so sweet and they're wonderful. But now, I don't think we've had these. Ruth Hunt candy bars. So, we'll probably be buying some of those.
And they >> Ruth Hunt Rebecca >> I like the Rebecca Ruth, but they don't have Rebecca. They have a Ruth Hunt. So, they even have Ruth Hunt um caramels it looks like down there.
>> No, I didn't think we' had bars. And they have a lot of stuff um bourbon balls and stuff like that down there.
So, I was talking to you about displays.
Here's a display for you. 250 years America man of war Harley-Davidson. So I guess you can win this bike. We have a um a Harley store. It looks just like that.
>> You don't think you can win it. Oh, they're just showing it to you. Okay.
Maybe I was hoping somebody could win it.
>> I believe it looks I'm used to the big >> I know it does look >> It is a crotch rocket.
So we just had the derby and here's an Evan Williams mint jew cup. It's pretty cool.
And then uh Elijah Craig.
I love all the >> Where's Buffalo Trace? Oh, I love the Buffalo Trace.
>> We toured there.
>> Yes, we we've been on a tour of Buffalo Trace. That's really cool.
>> Yeah, I like that. You really think people rubbed on that?
That's cool. And then here's a picture.
This is the bourbon section. There's a Oh, who's this now? I'm probably supposed to know who that is. And I have no idea who that is.
Never say die. I have no idea who that is. I guess he made this. He made the bourbon.
This is cool. It says Kentucky engraver.
They've painted on this barrel.
>> I would put him on the front porch.
So, this is this is advertising Happy Gilmore 2. Uh, good boy vodka lemonade and then Oh, okay.
So, I guess that is in the Happy Gilmore movie.
>> Every every four helps a pup.
>> Do you see his pants?
>> His pants have a dog on them. Every sip helps what?
>> Helps a pupp.
>> Oh, okay.
They have bottles in this case. One of them's $13.99.
One of them is 2,189.
Um, it's in there.
>> Yeah, they got some expensive ones.
>> So, this is your a Leven liquor barn.
And I did forget to show you one display. I don't know if you can see it.
It's a soccer one over there.
