USA's Radical Shift: Culture, Society & Family Change #shortsAjouté :
Every society is the outworking of our worldview, an ideological framework that we adopt. And I think what's happening right now as an Easterner, much of what I'm seeing is two competing civilizational ecosystems developing here. Basically said that from your perspective, the United States that you visited when you first came here, now that's some let's say 14 years ago, 15 years ago, is radically different than the one that we're seeing today. I want to back up a little bit because I would say that when we look culturally at some of the context here, a lot of sociologists, a lot of cultural commentators will point to a maybe a 2010, definitely sometime during the Obama administration where we started to see a a radical change in just the general perception that people had. You had the rise of intersectionality, right? Critical theory, diversity, equity, inclusion, all those things start to come to the fore in the teen years of the 21st century, culminating in the 2020 riots that happened over the summer, things of that nature. But there was a broader context.
We had Obergefell, we had just a number of shifts in the way that people understood life. And at the same time, family life really started to be put on the back burner. You start to see people marrying later, having fewer children.
