Government fuel pricing policies that create significant price disparities between fuel types (such as kerosene at 150 shillings versus super bean at 243 shillings) can create economic incentives for fuel adulteration, where unscrupulous operators may adulterate fuel to maximize profits, ultimately causing damage to vehicles and the broader economy.

Thiong'o: What the government is doing now is encouraging adulteration of fuelAdded:
I'm not so sure if how good the morning is. I can see very many people are not so impressed or smiley this morning.
What is the situation where you are?
Brenda, good morning. If you can hear me, bring us up to speed with what's happening in the city.
All right. So, we'll be linking up with Brenda in a short while for more updates, but it would appear not everyone um got the memo. Not not all Matus are off the roads. A few are still operating. Um was there a disagreement on whether or not they should go on strike?
>> Okay. Uh of course I have stated that uh the strike is 95% successive >> and actually even the time of colonizations we still have those people used to support the the white man to our colonization because their own interest.
So those people that uh we can see operating a very few number and I I I believe that eventually they stop to operate is that those people who are so much greedy and actually some some of them they are so much pressed with the charges because I have told you that we are the main casualties of this strike because actually we are the main losers in this yeah we are the main losers in this uh strike. Uh but the most uh important thing that you need to understand here and the most is reason whereby we are we are ready to lose is that uh the fact remain that the government the sitting government is so much arowant to its own citizens so much arrogant >> instead of offering solution as the sober have said and giving hope to the citizen we can see them moving aloud talking arrogance about this issue of the foibu America Trump. So those are what which are irritating very much irritating to us as investors. And of course you can see them moving all aloud if you issuing hard outs money they are going to manga everywhere.
>> Listen to Kipto and he says the government appears to have gotten to the ends with uh the wits end rather and it's like they have no solution currently. Uh do you believe that there's no solution? Oh, there is a solution because uh you can understand very well that over taxation is the problem and what you are trying to state here the government should reduce it taxation. We understand the challenges uh globally that the the Kenya government have no control over it but over taxation should reduce it taxation if the government is working for it people at one time when the president was campaigning stated categoricans that uh those people who are adding the fuel they don't understand the damage that they are fellow Kenyans so and the same same thing he's doing it seems that he have now forgotten that the damage that is causing because of increment and of better that government, previous government because F have not reached the level that currently have reached and actually if you refer to the back to that government they are not arrogant actually they used to come out and giving hope to the fellow citizens but currently is like a colonization fo is a basic commodity >> and if the government cannot be able to address about this basic community it seems that the government have no interest with its own citizens and the problem that you having the main problem they having We also have problem with the different between the ko and the diesel >> and that kerosene is not about the common is the one that used to for the jets.
>> So we understand that is for the highest highest class that ko and the problem that you having with ko being at 150 and the super bean at 243 is that that different of 90 shillings. Let us uh look at scenario whereby a petrol stations used to sell like 100 uh 100,000 per month. If that uh the owner of the petrol station think of doing adulteration of only 20,000 he eventually make intact 2 millions per month >> 2 million per month. And that's the what the government is doing now is encouraging the adation of well and that adation will come to affect our vehicles it will come to a damage to our vehicle.
So the damage that they causing to this h to this industry to the nations it will be inevitable. And I'd want you to answer that question because now it lays um it points a finger >> uh to the oil uh outlet.
