🔍✨ Ever wondered about the journey of getting an Asperger's diagnosis? It's a labyrinth of self-discAdded:
Basically, I just wanted to do a video on how to know >> [music] >> if you have Asperger's syndrome or if you maybe wanted to seek a diagnosis.
When I was a little kid, I think my parents knew that there was something a bit amiss with my social interaction. So then, well after that, I went to college. I had [music] some issues there because, you know, learning issues, behavioral type of issues. So, we did [music] a test online on an autism website to see if I had any of the traits. So, we took did this test and it came out really, really high. I mean, normally people would [music] get like six or seven in this test. I got like 38, um which is quite high. Then [music] we had a test done in a local mental health clinic. Um it was an Asperger's test. The test lasted about an hour or so. And then [music] I had to go and see a psychiatrist then. Interviewed me again and then I did another test and then they [music] concluded that I had Asperger's syndrome there. And then they put me in autism development work. They have a good [music] kind of setup of how to help people, which is really good cuz I feel a lot more confident now with myself.
