That's what it is. Microsoft can tell you that Sarah sent 47 Teams messages yesterday, but Microsoft can't tell you whether any of those messages actually moved anything forward. And this is where I think a lot of businesses are genuinely getting it wrong, is that when you start measuring activity and then trying to measure performance, you don't get more productive people, you get basically just a lot of activity data. Does XG mean you're going to win the match? Not necessarily. It just means you've maybe had a few more shots.
If meetings count, people attend more meetings. If email volume volume counts, then people start sending more emails.
