The video effectively exposes the disconnect between elite political rhetoric and the harsh economic reality facing ordinary families. It serves as a blunt reminder that high-minded promises mean nothing when people can no longer afford basic necessities.

They Voted For Cheaper Groceries-Now Everything Costs MoreAdded:
I just bought four condiments from the grocery store. Four. Okay. We have We have ketchup. I did mayo, ranch, and barbecue sauce. Literally only four of these. Okay. And as you can see, they're like their regular sizes. All right.
Guess how much money it was? It was $20 for four regular sized condiments.
And the smaller, tinier versions that were literally like this much was only a dollar cheaper. So, I was like, "Well, what's the point of me only getting like this tiny itty bitty half petite Bellah Hadid size when I could just get the regular size for a dollar more?"
>> We're at the grocery store and the eggs are $1749.
>> $40.60 for a fruit trip.
>> Yeah, that's staying on the shelf.
>> Look at this. $6 [ __ ] for a box of cereal. Who can't afford this [ __ ] This is [ __ ] crazy. Then you eat this [ __ ] and your mouth gets stuck together with this [ __ ] So you gonna have to eat this to taste. This is crazy. What the [ __ ] is the world coming to? I'm about to show you $10 worth of groceries in America. Bread and eggs. $10 for bread and eggs.
>> When in the world did candy bars end up being $1.99?
>> $7 for 10 slices of cheese. I need to get the [ __ ] out of the US. They're usually like this one right here.
>> Mhm.
>> $20 a pound.
>> That's what they're normally trying to sell this for. It's that.
>> Oh yeah.
>> $13.99 for a goddamn watermelon.
>> Five six items purchased.
$71 [ __ ] dollars. This is what $70 get you at Walmart.
>> Yep. That's it. $70.
>> You want some fruit, honey?
>> Yeah.
Let me go sell the car.
>> $27.
$27 for toilet diapers.
>> I told my nephew, "Go pick out your favorite juice." But >> 99.
>> No, we got water at the crib and let's go.
>> Look at how much candy is in this bag.
You can't even see it. And it's $7. So, I'm walking around Costco here and I'm noticing these prices. For example, these madress lentils, $15.99. I bought those a year ago for $6.99.
>> I just want to say that these grocery prices are so ridiculous and it's really starting to piss me off cuz it feels like all of our extra income is going straight to groceries. I mean, we were spending before like 150 a week on a family of four for groceries. Now we're pushing 400 400 plus a week for groceries. The cost of meat is absolutely insane. I We used to be able to get a pack of ground beef for like six bucks or something like that. Now I went to Walmart today.
It was $17 for a pack of ground beef to make some tacos.
Like what? Grocery prices in America have reached insane levels and many people are wondering how they are going to survive. Trump promised raw prices on day one only for prices of almost everything to end up getting more expensive and left getting more hider.
So, let's have a look.
>> Have you been to Walmart lately? Well, you might want to consider not going then. Walmart, as a result of being angry with Trump and his tariffs, have raised the prices in their stores astronomically. It's sometimes it's 50 to 51% on little items like dog and cat food. the everyday things that Americans buy that are not tariffed from China.
See, right now Walmart is in a fight for its life.
And they think that overpricing their already overpriced [ __ ] is the way to win the war.
I don't know about you, I don't care what side you voted on.
Walmart is a garbage company doing garbage things for many years. Needs to go under so that the American small business can come back. Mom and pop stores were ran out by this conglomerate, this huge business that's ran by billionaires. They have no clue.
They've lost all sense. I really felt like grocery prices were getting out of hand about a year ago when to buy the ingredients to make spaghetti went from being 20 to $25 to being $40 to $50. I will never forget that day. I'm standing in Walmart purchasing Rayos, which is expensive. I do understand that. But I bought the Rayo pasta sauce, noodles, some parmesan, the shaker kind, cuz I like that. I don't care if it's chemicals, whatever. and a pound of ground beef. And it was I think it was like $45. And I thought I used to be able to do this for 20.
All the same everything. I used to be able to get this for 20. Last night I went to Kroger. I needed to get a few things. Typically, most of my shopping is done at Costco and Aldi, but I will occasionally go to Walmart or Kroger if I don't feel like making multiple stops.
I bought no protein. I didn't buy any chicken, no beef, no pork, no seafood, nothing. Okay, I bought two heads of broccoli. They were two for five. I bought three packs of sparkling water because if you got three, you could get them for $12, which is way cheaper than you can get them typically. I bought a head of cabbage, some milk, some yogurt, and I'm probably forgetting a few things, but again, no meat, no animal protein to speak of.
It was $83.
$83. I like I can't imagine being a single person and thinking it's worth it to go to the grocery store. I saw a guy last night talking about how it's cheaper for him to go out to eat at this point. And I agree. If you're a single person, how do you justify these outrageous grocery prices? But then at the same time, going out to eat also expensive and the food's not even that good. So what do you do? I was astounded. I got nothing. I didn't even get like chips or crackers or anything like that. It was all fresh produce, a few dairy products, and sparkling water.
And it was 83 American dollars. I don't I don't know how this is sustainable. I just saw a video about how living within your means is really not possible anymore. And it's tr like everybody I know is making more money now than they ever have in their lives. And they are worse off than they were in their 20s.
>> I'm back at the supermarket or as I like to call it these days, the stupid market. You want some romaine lettuce?
It'll cost you $4.99.
Okay, so the cheese is on sale. It's $3.49 if you buy one, but if you buy four, it's $1.99 each, but you got to buy four. So that would be like eight bucks instead of $3.49 for one. They're making more money off of you no matter what.
How many? Look at these bacon prices.
$10.99 $10.99 $14.99 $10.99 Are you sick yet?
Maybe you're in the mood for a steak.
$17.84 for one steak. It's85.
Not even a pound. $20.99 per pound. Is this supposed to be a bargain?
Oh, hi. Could I have a bottle of water for $449, please? In case you haven't noticed, this store is open, but there's like nobody here, >> you know. However, I do understand that the prices of food have gotten completely out of hand. Like, some of these prices are absolutely insane. But let me tell you something. $7.49 for some hazelnut noella spread is absolutely bonkers. What are you telling me? This is absolutely insane right now.
Somebody please explain this to me. With groceries this high, everybody's about to learn what a struggle meal is and why they slap harder than the stuff that's in Whole Foods. You know what this economy got me doing? Reminiscing. Cuz when I was growing up, struggle meals were not just survival. They were comfort. And quiet as it's kept, I still eat the stuff today. Money or not, don't matter to me. I'mma tell you my top three struggle meals that I swear by.
Number three, fried potatoes and onions. Cheap is filling and it tastes like a hug from your grandma. I love fried potatoes and onions. Back in the day, potatoes was gold and quiet as kept. You could still grow potatoes pretty easy, so potato and onions are going to always be on my list. Number two, breakfast for dinner.
I don't even know how many times I done had pancakes for dinner, eggs, as long as you can catch them for cheap and affordable. Oatmeal, grits, all types of stuff for dinner time. Yeah, it's going to fill you up. Number one, ramen noodle. Thing about ramen noodles is you can take it up, kick it up a notch, or you can go all the way down to the gutter. You can make it hood or you could try to make it classy. The choice is yours. But you going to get full. So, let me ask you, what was your top three struggle meals grow?
>> It hurts my pride to post this video, but I am freaking out about money today.
I absolutely know that I'm not alone. I know that a lot of the people who voted for Trump did it because they thought that he was going to lower the cost of living. And very much the opposite has happened. And when the budget bill passes, because it's probably going to probably a 98% chance, they will find a way to pass it. Even if you're not on Medicare or Medicaid, which I'm not. I have health insurance through my company. It's likely that our health insurance premiums are going to go up.
And the Fed is saying that they're not going to cut interest rates anytime soon. So, we are literally backed into a corner where many people are now financing their groceries. They're putting like sandwiches on layaway [ __ ] I'm a lucky person who is at least living slightly above paycheck to paycheck, but I have a bunch of credit card debt that I don't know if I'm ever going to get out of. And again, it feels like [ __ ] to admit that on a public platform, but I think it's really important to understand that desperation for a lot of people leads them to a place where they will do anything to fix their circumstances. I just got done grocery shopping and I'm telling you, things are becoming so dystopian and like things are changing. Um, my husband and I are going to retire um in a very rural part of Michigan. Um, so we come up here to our little cabin a lot and it's um 70% went to Donald Trump and um the city itself is in the bottom 10% um well I should say top 10% for poverty.
Anyway um it just felt so different. Everybody I mean the store was packed and everybody was moving so slow because like everybody was studying everything in shock. First, Meyers, like so many grocery stores, was bombarding you with sales, sales, sales, sale. And you know, you stop getting excited about it because when you look at it, yeah, you can buy two bags of cheese and get a third one free, but it still comes out to almost $5 for a two cups of cheese. I mean, I bought one tomato for $2.50 a tomato and it was like that everywhere. Um, a loaf of bread. Now, if you want it organic, >> many Trump voters feel cheated because they voted believing that things would become easier, that prices would come down quickly. But they are experiencing the exact opposite. Grocery and gas prices continue pouring pressure on everyday people. Grocery shopping has become more stressful among people and people are skipping items because they can no longer afford them. Parents are sacrificing meals so their children can eat. Some people are relying on credit card for groceries and gas. You know, some people are working multiple jobs and still struggling to survive.
Americans want stability. They want to be able to work hard and be able to afford food, groceries, rent, transportation, and healthcare without falling behind. And many Americans are frustrated and opposed to the current war with Iran because that is what is causing gas prices to rise. And when fuel prices rise, the cost of everything else follows. Our transportation becomes more expensive. Shipping becomes more expensive. Farmers and small businesses uh they pay more to operate and stores raise prices. And finally, the consumers feel the pain. So the price of everything is rising while the wages stay the same. And most Americans are saying they are tired of political promises that don't match everyday reality. People are tired of hearing politicians say the economy is doing well, the economy is doing great while they're struggling to afford basic needs. And when you listen to most people, America is reaching a breaking point. Many people feel economically exhausted. You know, young people are losing the hope that hard work can actually provide stability and people want accountability and they want some relief because no matter what political party you belong, nobody wants to live in a country where groceries and gas eat have the paycheck. You know, families feel trapped financially and there's no breathing room. So, thank you so much for tuning in. Be sure to like, subscribe, and share. Have a good one.
I'll see you in the next
