[00:00:00]This is a major warning for anyone trying to learn esoteric philosophy and occult symbolism because it is very dangerous once you start and you need to do one very specific [music] thing if you are going to be successful in learning and growing in this tradition without letting certain things control you, especially [music] conspiracy theories and other people's opinions. I'm going to give you three things in this video that you absolutely must do if you're diving into this for the first time, as well as a bonus [music] at the end. My name is Cub. I taught within the church tradition for several years and even worked as a media minister for almost 7 years. I always thought I wanted to be a pastor until I started looking deeper into what the Bible actually is. This is where I lose some people because the Bible is a super cool book and by book I mean library because it literally contains 66 books if you're here in the west, 88 in Ethiopia and even more in some traditions. So, to call the 66 book canon the word of God is a very dangerous thing because it contains numerous books with their own symbolism.

[00:01:13]They don't necessarily go together. It's like trying to read Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings and combining the characters. Yeah, they might exist in the same multiverse, but it may not be helpful to compare Daniel to Jesus Christ >> [music] >> or Ezekiel to John the Baptist.

[00:01:32]But, if you're on the esoteric side of things and this is point number one, then it might actually [music] help to compare them because if you're looking for literal interpretation, you're going to run into walls or the worst-case scenario, you're going to pin yourself into a belief system that not only doesn't serve [music] you, but is completely not true. With esoteric interpretation of scripture, what you're looking for [music] is archetypes.

[00:01:59]So, Adam and Eve have this kind of beginning archetype. You have the first divine masculine and the first divine feminine. The serpent then has the archetype of wisdom.

[00:02:11]Wisdom has always been demonized, by the way. In the Gnostic texts, wisdom is Sophia. It's a female force.

[00:02:18]>> [music] >> By the way, that's why the Holy Spirit comes down as a dove on Jesus. That is not and hear me out, that is not talking about a physical dove or anything that looked like [music] a dove. In the ancient Near East, especially the mystic teachings, the idea of a dove had to do with a female that was used to, let's just say, trade amongst the elites. Specifically, a untouched one.

[00:02:46][music] And if you don't believe me, you can look this stuff up. It gets really interesting when you begin to learn the secret esoteric language of the Bible.

[00:02:53]So, why would that matter if God came down as a dove? [music] And in the Pistis Sophia, it specifically says the father came down as a dove.

[00:03:02]So, check this [music] out. What it is saying is he came down as an innocent virgin spirit.

[00:03:09]>> [music] >> And only those who love and respected are the ones that have neutral or positive karma in how they wield the force of God within them. Number two, you need to read more than the Bible. And if you've never read the Bible, you need to read the Bible. That may sound like kind of a weird double standard, but it is imperative that you read as much as you can.

[00:03:34]>> [music] >> Philosophy, spirituality, Book of Enoch, Gospel of Thomas, the Bible, the Quran, the Bhagavad Gita, and literally any spiritual philosophy you can get your hands [music] on. Because if you're really awake, you're going to find truth in everything. And I mean that. If you're really awake, and hear me out, you're going >> [music] >> to find, discern, and wield truth in everything you read, hear, watch, and ingest into [music] your ethos. And number three, you need to listen to people, even if you're listening to people online like me. You need to listen to people who have a vibe. Not people who lecture you, or yell at you, or want to debate other people, but people who genuinely have their heart worn on their sleeve. People that are genuinely in the mud with you, [music] that are out there fighting the good fight with you. And having conversations like a friend or a family member. Not just teaching and preaching [music] as someone who says, "You got to do this, and you got to do that." The pastors can have that. And you may not vibe with my videos. If you do, that's awesome, but if you don't, [music] find someone that you vibe with. I've had a lot of different people online that I vibe with, and those vibes [music] have changed at different seasons of my life.

[00:04:49]But the ones that are true blue have really been there through every season of my life. They've spoke truth in love.

[00:04:55]They've gotten passionate when it's required, but ultimately, I just feel like I'm hanging out with a buddy.

[00:05:01]>> [music] >> Because nobody should be here to sell you going to heaven. If you find teachers that you love online, please support them. Doesn't have to be me, someone else, that's cool.
