It frames basic market survival as a profound lesson in innovation, proving that industry giants only care about progress when their monopoly is finally threatened. It is a sobering reminder that "technological advancement" is often just a forced reaction to the fear of becoming obsolete.

Todd is a fictional character, and nothing here should be taken at face value.
You have seen the Push. You have seen the Play too. So, most people are now sitting there thinking that is the full lineup. Case closed. Roll on July 4th, and that is the end of it. Incorrect. As always, we keep things moving, but we do not give everything away. That is the difference.
Some brands throw every detail online immediately because they have no discipline, no timing, and nothing else coming after it.
TPUB does not work that way. [music] The Push blade will be announced, and from what I believe, that should be in about 2 weeks. [music] So, for everyone asking about the blade, yes, that is coming. It has not been forgotten. It has not been ignored. It is being held back because certain details deserve to be revealed at the right time.
And for those asking, the Push lever is not the SnapTech lever. The reason is simple. The Push is a completely different shape to the Play series. You cannot just take pieces from one machine, throw them onto another, and pretend that is engineering. It does not work like that.
Imagine you could change any part of your body. The idea might sound interesting for about 5 seconds. In reality, it would look strange, move strangely, and probably perform nothing like you imagined. That is exactly the point. Just because something works on one design does not mean it belongs on another. The Push needed its own system, its own lever, its own structure, its own direction. That is what separates actual development from companies just bolting random parts together and hoping barbers do not notice.
Coming up, TPUB joins Barber News, and we also have a winner to announce, so don't go anywhere.
StyleCraft [music] got bankrupt by TPUB, it's not their fault.
We're the best friend in the world. Hell yeah. [music] We're the best friend in [singing] the world. Hell yeah. Best friend in the world. Hell yeah.
We're the best friend in the world. Hell yeah.
I want to welcome you to Barber >> [music] >> News say yeah.
Just welcome you to Barber News say yeah.
Just welcome you to Barber News [music] Cast.
Take off is the best friend in the world.
And I'm Toad. On a quick note, never forget something important. The brands that controlled this industry from the beginning also controlled how slowly technology moved. That is my opinion.
Now, I want yours as well. Think about this properly for a second. Wahl used to sell a charging stand separately by itself. Imagine how ridiculous that sounds now. There was a time when buying a clipper without a charging stand was considered normal. Then TPOB came in and suddenly barbers started asking a very dangerous question.
Why are we accepting less? That is the problem for these companies. TPOB changed what barbers expect as standard, not luxury, standard. Even simple things like click levers and longer lasting batteries.
>> [music] >> Do you seriously believe these companies only magically discovered this technology recently? [music] Of course not. They had access to these things years ago.
They simply refused to move forward because there was no pressure forcing them to. [music] The market was controlled. Barbers were trained to accept whatever they were handed and then line up again 2 years later to buy the same machine [music] with a different color lid and a $10 motor adjustment presented like it was NASA engineering.
That is why so many established companies cannot stand TPOB. It disrupted a system that worked perfectly for them for decades. And look at Blades, another perfect example. For years everything stayed basic, safe, and cheap to manufacture.
Why? Because improving things properly costs money. Better materials cost money. better development costs money, testing costs money, innovation costs money. And a lot of these corporations had absolutely no interest in spending more if barbers were already buying the same thing repeatedly anyway.
Now suddenly everybody is panicking.
Suddenly everybody is rushing out new systems, new levers, new batteries, new blade technology. Funny timing, isn't it? To me this looks like karma because once barbers finally realized they were capable of getting better products, better value, and better features, the old system started collapsing in front of everyone's eyes.
Do you believe the biggest brands deliberately held technology back to stop barbers from having longer lasting and more advanced tools? Get in the comments.
Barbers, I'm announcing the winner in just a moment, but before I do, TPOB is joining us next, so keep the comments respectful and clean. Act like professionals for once. Also, like the video, subscribe if you haven't already, and get involved in these discussions.
The growth of this channel is what keeps the giveaways coming.
Now, the winner of this week's mystery gift is Naptown Nest.
Who the [ __ ] is that guy?
Anyway, congratulations.
Comment under this video or message Rick on Instagram so we can sort everything out. And barbers, if this comment section gets over 100 comments, we will do another giveaway on Monday. Comment.
I got jugs for the mugs.
Barbers, without further ado, I present TPOB.
Yo, what's going on?
TPOB here. I know what you're thinking.
Ooh.
Well, TPOB, you're not usually on Barber News.
But basically, Wahl used to say she'd let me suck her tits if I did a really good segment, and you've seen them.
And can you blame me? Anyway, this I'm trying to get this point across to you is that like, you know the other brands, them [ __ ] brands, like you know, like Wahl and this, blah blah blah, all them brands, whatever.
They all had the options for many, many years to have better batteries, better blades, better levers, click levers, and stuff like that. They just didn't give a [ __ ] They didn't give a [ __ ] The only reason they're doing it now is because of the pressure being given from us.
So, basically, we've given them so much pressure, like so much pressure, that they've got no choice but to do it. No choice.
Like Wahl don't want to make a click lever. They don't want to spend the $20,000 and maybe cost to put a shitty little wobbly click on their shitty little wobbly clipper, but they did.
And yeah, it's I mean, even if you're not a fan of TPB, you need to thank us for that.
But, it's one of them things, it's too little, too late. It's like dating a [ __ ] And then, you're with her for 3 years, and she's like, "Oh, I've changed now.
I won't give any more head."
And it's like, you should have stopped giving head 3 years ago when we met.
Like, you can't just be like, "Oh, now I'm taking you seriously, so now the head stops." It's like that. It's too little, too late.
And they're just going to get more and more and more pressure. More pressure, more changes, more everything, because they're not going to be able to keep up. They're not going to be able to keep up with the Plate 2. They're not. You got to understand this. You got to.
They're not going to be able to keep up with the Plate 2. They're not going to be able to keep up with the push.
They're not going to be able to keep up with TPB as a whole. Now, what I want you guys to understand and I want you to get in the comments and tell us about is do you know this? Do you know this? Do you appreciate this from us? Have you seen what's happening?
And do you understand the fact that each clipper we release is a little bit different. So, people keep asking what's the best? What does this do? What does that do? People say, "What does this player go on this player? What does this player do on this thing?" And it's like they're all different. Each clipper has got a different motor.
Different clipper. People saying, "What's what's different about this?"
Every single thing is different.
Yes.
You can tell it's a player, but every single thing on this whole clipper is different to the original player.
Everything. Every little thing is different.
Every part.
No, sorry. The switch is the same. Yeah, the switch is the same. So, guess I'm a liar on that one, but it's like it's still Every part is different.
The push. Look how tiny the push is, by the way.
Let me show you. Let me show you.
So, this is a mini player.
And that's a push.
I [ __ ] I can't really show you.
You can just see, guys. It's smaller.
You see? Anyway, that's for another day.
So, yeah.
Please remember that these people don't care about you. Please remember that we are going to be having the two biggest releases of the year by far.
I don't know if the Goblin's going to make it. I don't. I don't. But, I can't guarantee that the Player Max 2 and the Push are definitely going to be the biggest releases in barbering for a whole year. Big big big biggest in two I mean, the Player that released when did the player release? 2024, early 2024.
And it's like it came out two months ago, the buzz on it.
So, yeah, we're going to do it again.
And then I'm tired. I'm tired. It's been a long day. Peace out and back on Baba News without me on Monday, okay?
Goodbye. Bossy old crying. [music] Bossy old crying.
Bossy [music] old crying.
