[00:02:07]I'm not even going to say we've been busy cuz we can sit on this couch plenty of times and say like we've been busy.

[00:02:12]It's just life really just getting ahead of us, I think. I feel like we've had so much going on. Obviously, when we're home, we have our baby girl Noelle, so it's like she keeps us on our toes. And that's my I'm just figuratively saying that like physically, she for real keep us on our toes.

[00:02:31]>> Yeah. Anybody who know Noelle know that she is a busy body. She don't sit down.

[00:02:37]She don't stop talking. She don't stop moving.

[00:02:39]>> [laughter] >> Babe's convinced that that Those are good qualities to have. They say kids that are like that typically end up doing all right in life. We just going to keep telling ourselves that because she definitely is.

[00:02:52]>> But even just that though, we've been like, you know, building community, I think, in the past couple of pretty much past year or so.

[00:02:59]So like a lot of our friends have like had things going on. We're celebrating our friends. You're moms and and we think you're going to be a boy and a boy. I think you're going to be a boy and a girl.

Uh so, it's just like we've just been busy with life, just being in the moment of life. So, sometimes like I think in those moments like, you know, we need to pull out the camera, but not a lot of times. We just really have been in the moment, and I really wanted to say I hate that y'all have missed out on some of these moments because they've been good moments.

[00:05:37]But, we're here now, and we kind of wanted to give you guys a story or not even like a story, but just a little update of what's been going on since August. Yeah. Cuz we have not done that.

[00:05:47]We really haven't. And it's not that we haven't wanted to, but like babe said, a lot has been going on. So, we here now. We on the green couch. Y'all know when we sit down on the green couch, we are at our most authentic. We are in our home, in the confines of our home.

[00:06:03]I literally told babe, um, I was like, "Babe, what we doing? We are dressed. Let's go record a video." She in there singing gospel songs and whatever. And I'm I'm practicing. We ain't got our baby here. She at daycare.

[00:07:14]>> [music] >> So, just to kind of get a backstory, do you want to go into the beginning? Yeah, let's I would say we really do need to go into the beginning. [00:07:40]So, let's just go ahead and go to That's just jump That's just go back real quick 2 years ago. Okay. Noel's 2 years old.

[00:07:47]We decided that we wanted to start expanding our family. Yeah. This time around Britney is at the point where she's like, "Okay, I'm going to go ahead and try." Right.

[00:07:59]So, what up, world? It's your girl Britney. This is going to be a solo dolo video because what I'm about to do, y'all probably won't even believe me.

[00:08:04]Y'all probably don't even think I would do it. Y'all probably [music] don't even think I got the guts to do it. But, guess what? Guess what? Your girl is about to start her process to have our second baby.

[00:08:15]Yeah, our second baby. So, um most people when I tell them when they ask like, "Hey, do y'all want more kids?" or whatever it may be, Dory and I always answer very quickly, yes. You know, we want another child. Um >> [music] >> however, they are always so shocked and surprised when they realize that I am going to be the one to carry our second child. Now, the reason why this might be surprising is number one, I am 4 and 1/2 years older than Dory. That's number one. Number two, I have a hint of girly in me. Like, people who know me know that I'm not like boyish by any stretch of imagination. However, me waddling around with a belly is just something that I haven't even really pictured or can even explain what that's going to feel like, be like, all of that good stuff. Number three, At the next light, turn left.

[00:08:53]>> I ain't never really cared to carry a child. However, I've always wanted to see my own baby. So, I am headed to my very first appointment uh for my consultation uh with my doctor uh in order to see Let's go ahead and lay out this timeline for what we're looking at. And uh yeah, I have done extensive research on the best fertility doctors in Dallas, Texas.

[00:09:16]Uh and I do believe, hopefully, the guy No, I'm not going to say hopefully. The person that I have found, I believe that he is right for me. Now, what's crazy is I never wanted to go to a guy. I never wanted to go to a male uh doctor for something like this. However, I'm big on reviews. I'm big on um praying and In 3 miles, turn right onto Forest Lane. Okay. I'm big on just, you know, following your gut sometimes.

[00:09:36]So, again, although this isn't really what I had in mind, I do know that, you know, as long as I continue to ask God to cover me and protect me during this process, cover my mind so that I have positive thoughts even when things might not go my way. Like me having to find a new doctor um kind of was a big deal to me, but I also realized that life goes on and when you want things in life, you don't let anything get in the way of that. And I am determined uh to have a baby boy um to give Noel a little brother. So, um I just ask for y'all to rock with me, rock with a kid, rock with us uh as we go through this process.

[00:10:07]This time around Britney is at the point where she's like, "Okay, I'm going to go ahead and try." Right. I want to be able to see what my seed is. I don't know, you know, what jump-started that in her brain, you know what I mean? Because, you know, what made you start thinking, "Okay, I want to see what my seed looks like." Uh I I don't know. It's so hard. I think there are two reasons for me. So, first things first, like just being able to see how much my offspring will look like me, have my features. That's big for me. But, the second thing I think which has been like a big pull for me is like with my dad being gone, I just want something that I know is a little piece of him.

[00:10:48]And any part of me, I'm a piece of my dad. So, anything that I have will be a piece of my dad as well. And I think it's just for me like carrying on a legacy of I don't know, my dad. I don't I can't explain it. And because it is a boy, it doesn't >> Britney, you're not there yet.

[00:11:09]But, okay. So, first things first, obviously, just to see how much he's going to look like me because Noel looks just like you. And then number two, to carry on um Yeah, like I said, a legacy for myself.

[00:11:21]Like something that carries on like my dad as well. Okay. Yeah. That's good. I mean, I feel like your reason is your reason behind that. Uh I feel like whenever I do look at Noel, I see so much of you and you see much of your daddy, cuz I feel like y'all have the same personality in so many ways. Like y'all never meet a stranger. Y'all are entertainers. And Noel's definitely an entertainer.

[00:11:41]Um, I feel like if anything, like you said, Noel has my looks, but besides and my attitude, I guess. Yes. But besides that, like she's all you. Mhm. Yeah, even girly, all you.

[00:11:52]>> [laughter] >> Okay, so about 2 years ago, we decided to go ahead and start our family. So, we did we we ended up having like two vials left over from Noel, and um, Brittany ended up getting two more vials because so we want we had four to start off with. So, we were going to just do IUI. Brittany wanted to do the same route I took the first time because obviously it cost so much less than going a different route. So, And it kind of does cost less, but when you do it several times, it adds up. It adds up, for sure.

[00:12:24]At someday, hopefully soon, we will also do a video on how much all of this cost us, uh, cuz it's definitely a pretty penny.

[00:12:32]But, that's beside the point, that's another video for another day. But, yeah, so we did IUI the first go around.

[00:12:46]Like so now I was going around like obviously it was during COVID, so Yeah, like I'm missing out on everything. I know.

[00:12:53]Well, I would just say it's just going to feel like a Pap smear. Mhm.

[00:13:03]Now that I'm here, I'm a little bit nervous, but I'm only nervous just because I'm just like I've been anxious for this, so >> Yeah.

[00:14:28]The first go around and with that first go around it was successful, but we had a chemical pregnancy, correct?

[00:14:37]Yes. Yes. So, that was the first time.

[00:14:40]It was non-medicated. She went in there, did the procedure. She had a positive pregnancy test and it was negative again.

[00:14:46]>> But, can you explain to them what a chemical pregnancy is? Because what I will say is until I have one, I didn't know I mean, what's the difference between a chemical pregnancy and a miscarriage?

[00:14:58]I mean, they technically count as the same in a sense. It's just that like, you know, obviously like a chemical pregnancy like I think that it's a turn into an embryo, but it's so early on in the pregnancy, like super early. So, maybe it's just cuz it wasn't like developing. Mhm. I think they're around the same though. I don't know if I'm 100% sure, so don't take whatever I said. So, then we did it again.

[00:15:25]I'm back. And if you wonder what I'm back at or back to, I am back on my journey to have a baby.

[00:15:52]But needless to say, whatever God gives us, I will be Just say healthy baby.

[00:16:24]Cover me, God. For those of you out there that are not believers, just know that everything happens on God's timing. So, I'm a true believer in my previous circumstances and this circumstance. And when you have faith of a mustard seed, anything and everything is possible. So, God could give us twins. And he know he would take me completely out of here >> [laughter] >> if twins do run in my family. Obviously, my brother and sister are twins. So, You feel pregnant? I'm pregnant, y'all.

[00:16:47]>> [laughter] >> They swimming up there right now. But I will say this, like it's just certain things he said. He's definitely more expensive than a lot of doctors, but when it comes to the desires of my heart and what I know God has for me and for us and for our family, like you can't put money on certain things.

[00:17:04]And that's coming from somebody that's frugal. So, no, I really do. I feel good about this process and uh we're having a baby. Yeah, I know he's going to be a big sister. Oh my god. I'm hoping for a boy because you know, I always say no, he going to always be our baby girl.

[00:17:17]>> Yeah. So, hopefully it's a boy so that It is a boy. It's our baby boy and our baby girl.

[00:17:50]Um I just think it's going to be so cool to see like our family come full circle. To just see them together, see us.

[00:18:17]We ended up going in there and Brandy had a did another IUI. Again, a positive pregnancy test.

[00:18:26]And then that resulted into the same thing. Literally, it was just like we scheduled our, you know, appointment to go see the doctor. Before the appointment, literally she started having like the symptoms of like pretty much like it was passing through her.

[00:18:43]So, y'all wanted the journey and uh apparently this is the journey that God has for me. So, um unfortunately, I feel like I am experiencing a miscarriage.
