The cash stuffing method is a budgeting technique where individuals save money by physically handling cash and placing it into designated envelopes or containers for specific savings challenges, such as daily dollar challenges, holiday savings, and charitable giving. This hands-on approach helps track spending, build savings habits, and achieve financial goals through tangible, visual progress.

Cash Stuffing | Saving Challenges | Let's Save for Christmas!Added:
Hello everyone. Welcome back to Save with Judy and welcome to Christmas Savings today cuz that's what we're going to be doing. I'm so glad that you're here with me today. We are going to be doing some work in our Christmas binder here. We're going to be doing some more hot chocolate weather and we are going to be doing some more in our cute but crazy 2026 our daily dollar and our other dailies. I missed getting my video out yesterday, my scratching Tuesday because the day before um we were so busy didn't get home to really late that night and I just did not get my video done. So, um, I'll try my best to do a makeup on that one, but we'll see how it goes. I had a really good day today, guy. And I took Alex and we went to spent the day at the beach and uh, we had a really, really nice time. So, anyway, let's go ahead and get started. Let's start by seeing how much money I have today.
Okay, so for today I have $25 here in the clip for our hot chocolate weather.
And then I have 5 10 15 20 25 30 35 40 4550 55 56 57 58 59 60 61 62 63 64 65 66 67 68 69 70 71 72 73 74 Whoops.
75 80 $8182.
I had a $5 bill out of place there.
Okay. So, we will do just what that will let us do today.
Okay. So, let's go ahead and get started. And of course, we're going to start with our daily dollar. And let's take a dollar out of the front. And we're going to do another dollar in May.
Actually, I owe it $2 because we did not do yesterday's video.
Okay, so yesterday was a spin day. Amy and I went and did a little shopping yesterday and today was a save day. I did not spend any money that we hadn't planned on spending. Did not do any shopping or anything.
So, there's our $2 in there for yesterday and today.
Okay. And now, let's do our other dailies. We have our safe to give which we need to put $2 into.
Okay. And our safety gift for this month is the disabled American veterans. And this one was made by Dena budgeting by Dena US. We're putting in two more dollars.
Okay. And that is our save to give for today. and yesterday.
Okay. And then on our let's save together in May.
Yesterday's challenge was to drink water and save $3. Today's challenge was to exercise today and save $2. Well, I went swimming today. So, that's my exercise and I drink water every day. So, there is our challenge is done and that is $5.
Okay. So, let's put that in for our let's save together in May. And if you will go and check out my community post, I did put up a community post with our brand new let's save together in June.
And uh the community post has our let's save together in June and it also has our June no spin collab. And this collab is with Blessed Budgets by Abigail, myself and Trina from Hippies Puppies and Kittens. So, we are only saving $1 today. We're not saving a dollar for yesterday, but I am saving a dollar for today.
Okay. So, we're putting in $1 for that.
I picked up my ding ding ding.
Okay, so now we have 5 10 11 12 13 14 15 $16 sticking together there.
And this is just for the month of May.
Okay, then our next collab is our bee challenge. And this one is from Lisa Grateful Me. And we are going to save $2 today.
We're saving $1 for the 26th and we are saving $1 for the 27th.
Okay. So, $2 is going into our little bee challenge.
Okay. So we have 10 15 20 25 30 3540 4550 5560 6570 7580 85 86 8788.
Okay, there's that. And then our other challenge is the root 66 challenge. And we are just going to do two today and we'll do two tomorrow. So, let's go ahead and do let's see. Let's do a a yellow.
And this is in Pasadena, California.
And this challenge was made by Little Blue Pixie 97. And I have loved loved doing this challenge.
So, we're adding $2. And we'll finish this one up tomorrow.
So, we have 10 20 2530 3540 4550 5560 61 62 63 64. Two more will make 66.
Okay. And then our last daily is for the Assemblies of God National Youth Conference. And I'm doing this one for Kimmy at Kimmy's Corner. And it's actually for her mother-in-law who is in charge of the fundraiser to get some of their youth to this conference. And Kimmy put this up in her Kofi for $3. And all the money from that goes to this um the um youth at at her mother-in-law's church. and uh to get them to this conference. And you could if you want, you can do the challenge and send Kimmy the money. If you want, you can do the challenge and save it for yourself. It's all up to you. So, what I've been doing is I've been rolling a fivesided die. Let me get that out. And whatever it tells me to save is what I'm saving. We only have $4 left to do. So, let's see what we're saving today.
We got a one. So, we're doing one today.
Okay. So, let's put another dollar into that challenge.
Let's see what we have.
We have 10 20 25 3546.
Okay. So, there is that.
And that is all of our dailies. Now, I'm going to set this to the side.
And I'm going to put our hot chocolate weather right up here. And we are going to do a couple of days in our cute but crazy 2026 before we start our Christmas savings. Let's go to May. We have May 26, which was yesterday. We have paper plain day. So, we are going to save $3 for that one.
Well, let me try this other blue.
There we go.
And then today is sunscreen day, which should have been yesterday because of going to the beach, but I use plenty of sunscreen. I'm not burnt.
So, we are putting in $6 today.
Okay. So, let's count our money.
We should have $46. Let's see if we do.
Okay. I have 10 15 20 25 30 35 40 456.
Okay. So, the very last one will be the 29th.
and we'll be finishing that with biscuit day. That would be my husband's favorite day.
Okay. So, there's that. Now, let's do some Christmas.
Okay. And we are going to start where our clip is.
Okay. We are starting with Bookish Mama Budgets.
Let's see. I need to I'm going I'm going to move this because I can't really get everything up here. so you can see it.
Okay. And we have these cute little It's a rabbit and a fox. So, let's see what we are saving today.
We have a one. Okay. We're going to go right here.
$4.
We've got a one in here. So, I'm going to take the one and put in a five.
So, we have five, six, seven dollars in this one.
Okay. Then I have this Merry Christmas and it is from my friend Tara at Lifted Up and Living.
Okay. Let's roll.
Number five. Okay. One, two, three, four, five. We're going right here.
and it is $5.
I'll be glad when I get home and have my little vacuum. It's kind of aggravating.
Then I have to come in here and bring the big vacuum and vacuum. So, we have $10 in this one.
Okay. So, there's that one. Get it back down in there. And then we have this one from Chaos Budgeting.
Let's see what we're doing today. We got a high number last week.
Number four. One, two, three, four.
We're going right here.
$4. That's not bad.
One, two, three, four.
Okay, so we have 5, 10, 11, 12, 13, $14 in this one. It does not say how much it saved. No, it does. On the back it says 50.
Okay, now let's go to the front and we have our Merry Christmas challenge from Lisa at She Persisted Budgeting and Saving. We have three left.
Five. One, two, three, four, five. We're coming right here.
$3.
Okay, let's see if we might have $2 in here.
I do. We'll put those two there and take up five. So, we have 5 10 15 20 25 30 31 32 two to go.
Okay. And then we have all the otter reindeer. And this one is from budgeting with Tiffany 26.
Number one. Okay, that would be this one.
It's not wanting to scratch very good.
There we go.
It's a seven.
Okay, let's stop right there. We know what it is. So, we have five, six, 7.
Okay, so we have 5, 10, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20. We'll put these five ones back and take another five. So, there's $20 in this one, and this one will save $90.
So, it's going to be a big saver. Then we have another one we've been working on from Chaos Budgeting, and it is our little Christmas bear.
We have number one. So, we're going to go right here.
$4.
Okay.
Let's see if we might have a one in here.
I do.
So we're taking the five.
Okay. So so far we have 10 15 20 25 30 3540 4550 $5565.
And this one is a mystery. You don't know how much it is. Does not say on the back either. We still have four to go.
Then we have this one from Always Angela. XOXO.
Number two. One. Two. We're going to go right here.
Oh, it's a biggie. I think it's a nine.
Let me put it on this thing right here.
If it was scratch. Oh, yeah.
No, it's a two. I thought it was a nine.
It is a two. Okay.
So, $2.
So, we have 5, 10, 15, 16, 17.
Then, we're starting a brand new one from Danny at Craft Co Budgets. And I just love this one. I bought it quite a while back. It says, "You can't sit with us." And it shows Santa and he's sitting there with the Grinch and from the guy from um The Nightmare Before Christmas.
I think it is so cute. So, it saves $50.
So, let's see what we're rolling today.
A five. One, two, three, four, five.
We're coming right here.
And it is a one. So, I'm going again.
A two. That'd be this one.
And it is a three. So, that'll be $4.
We're starting out with this one.
Two, three, four.
Okay. And then we have this one from Grammyy's Journey. And we're finishing this one today.
We put it over here. It's okay. It is a six.
Okay. Okay. So, we have five and a one.
Okay. So, we have 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, $36.
Seems like an odd amount, but that's what I have here.
That's okay.
Let's get a clip on it.
We're going to ring the bell and we're going to save a dollar in the ding ding ding if I can find it. Oh, it's laying back here on the table where it got knocked out.
Okay, there we go. And let's feed this shark.
Okay, here we go.
This shark bag's getting kind of heavy.
There we go. We fed the shark today.
Glad I didn't feed a real shark today.
Okay, then we have blue kiwi budgets. We finished that one. Now we have stuff and budget, Santa Claus, reindeer, hot cocoa, Christmas sites, holiday movies. It's Christmas, y'all. Let's see if we get that deer today.
Number one. Okay, that'll be right over here.
And we did. If you get a deer, it's $10.
I don't know how many of them are on here.
So, we've got $10.
Okay. So, this one has five 10 15 16 17 $18 $19.
It does not say how much you save, but there might be another deer or two on there. I don't know.
Okay. And then we have this one from Ellie on Earth.
this cute cute Santa.
We have a six. One, two, three, four, five. Let me see. One, two, three, four, five, six. This would be six.
And it is $4.
Okay. See if we've got a one here.
We do. So, let's put in this five.
So, we have $11 in this one.
Okay. Then we have gift tag savings. And we're going to see what we can do with this one today. We're almost done with it. I don't know if we've got enough here to finish, but I hope we do.
Let's see. We have one Oh, that's the only one we have. Let's scratch it.
And it is $4.
Okay, so we have one, two, three, and four.
Okay. So we have 5 10 15 20 25 30 35 40 4550 55 60 65 70 75 80 85 86 87 88 89 90 91 92 93.
It's another one that's an odd amount.
That's okay.
might might add these numbers up later on these little gift card. Let me make sure that was the only one left.
That is an odd amount.
Seems like there should be like $4 more.
Nope.
Okay, I am going to write 96 on here, but I'm going to double check that.
makes me think that maybe it should have been 100.
Sometimes I will go in and when I'm needing ones and I will um you know buy my ones back and sometimes I count wrong. Okay, so that is this. We're going to feed that shark again.
Okay. And let's see. We only have I have $4 left, I think. Rather than going on with that one, let's go back up here and I have two that are close to finishing.
Let's go ahead and do this one more time. And if it'd be low numbers, that would be good. And I'll just do this one right here.
$4. Okay, we'll put our four in here rather than going on with the other one, which I think would be more than four.
Okay, so we're going to put our $4 in here. And we have one left. We have 5 6 5 10 11 What am I doing? 5 10 15 20 25 30 31 32 33 34 35 $36.
Okay. So, we will start next week.
We've got to add a couple new ones. And we're going to start right here on Cocoa and Cookies. And that is from Terra from Lifted Up and Living. And then we have this one from I'm not I'm sure I cannot pronounce the name. Ailus Designs and Company. I'm not sure how to pronounce it. And Bless Daisy Budgets Christmas Cocoa Cups. And then we're back to where we started today.
I felt like that was gonna be more than $4, so that's why I did what I did.
Okay, so there's that.
Now, we are going to work in our little hot chocolate weather binder. And all of the challenges in here are from Brenda Canola, the butterfly budgeter. We're going to start where our blue clip is. We are so close to finishing several in here. As we finish them, I am turning the challenge around. I'll know I have finished that envelope.
Okay. And these are all for Christmas.
And when as I finish them, I'm not putting them in the Shark binder. I'm leaving them in here cuz they are for Christmas.
Okay. So, we have $15 in fives and I have 10 in ones.
Okay. Let's see. We are starting right here with Christmas pencils. And it only has one.
So, we're finishing this one for sure.
And it's finishing big. It is $9.
It's finishing with a drum roll.
See if we've got a $1 bill. I do. So, I'll put in two fives.
Okay. So, we have 5 10 15 20 25 30 35 40 4550 55. Yes, that's what it's supposed to be. 55. I'm going to turn this around. And I know I have finished this one.
Okay, we're finishing this one, too.
This one is our beautiful blue forest, and it is the last one.
And it is $3.
One, two, and three.
Okay. So, we have 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50. putting these five ones back and taking this last five and it is supposed to be $50.
Okay, we're done with them. We're going to turn it around.
And then we have our cute snowman and penguin here. We're not finishing this one today.
We have a four. One, two, three, four.
We're coming right down here and it is $4. 1 2 3 and four.
Okay, so we have 5 10 15 20 25 30 35 40 41 42 43 44 45 46 47 and this saves $50. They Those must be awfully little numbers.
Then we have our cute little girl here with her dog and cat number one. That'll be right here.
And it is four dogs. Four has been the big number today. You know what? Seems like every other one we scratch is a four. One, two, three, and four.
Okay. So now this envelope has 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44.
And this one will save 65.
Then we have our beautiful owl. And with this one, if I scratch a gem, it's $5.
If I scratch a crystal, it is free.
Number four. One, two, three, four. We're coming right down here.
And it is a gem for $5.
Let's see if we have five. One, two, three, four, five is exactly what I have.
Okay.
So we have 5 10 15 20 25 30 354 41 42 43 445.
Okay, so we will start next week with our Hello Winter, which is this cute little cat challenge. We still have about six on there.
This is where we're going to start.
Let's put our little blue clip back on there. So, we have that one. We finished that one. We have four on that one. We have several on that one. And we have about six on cold drinks. And then we'll be going back to the front.
So, we have four on that one. We finished that one. We finished that one.
We finished that one. So, we have finished four of them. So, pretty good.
And like I said, when I get these finished, the money is just going to stay right in here. It is for Christmas.
I'm not taking it out. And u at the end of the month to move it or whatever. It's going to stay right here, but I will count it at the end of the month for in the end of the month total. So there is that.
That is all we have for today. Tomorrow we will be doing traveling savings. If I get an opportunity, I'm going to do a little makeup video on the scratching we did not get to do yesterday. But then again, I don't know. I might just wait.
Just let that day skip and do scratching Tuesday this coming Tuesday. I'll be home then. But anyway, I'll let you know for sure. And uh I appreciate you being here with me today. If you haven't subscribed to my channel, please do. I would love to have you as a subscriber.
