This week has been a busy week. It's not necessarily going to reflect in the budget. By the way, we are checking in today for week one of May's budget, which means I'm taking a look at all the money that I spent last week, whether that's cash or card, comparing against my budget, and making sure I'm on track.

[00:04:02]Yeah, we're laying down expense tracker stickers from the 3rd to the 9th and we've got quite a lot of no expense to do. So, let's get into it. I don't know if you can hear there's a plane going above my head and I have to I have to film. We're starting off the Sunday and the Monday with two no spends. As you know or you may know, I checked in very late last week, so I didn't actually have any money. I have three bills that come out on the 5th.

[00:04:29]Number one is YouTube Premium and I live my life on YouTube and that was $12.99.

[00:04:34]Netflix was 12. Oh, do you know what happened? I had to change my password.

[00:04:38]Like loads of people use my account, but my brother is in America for work at the moment. He's in Oh, I just seen a spider. He's in South Carolina. And I got an alert to say that someone in South Carolina has been using my account. I was like, whoa, whoa, what?

[00:04:51]Turns out it was him. And yeah, then I had my first payment for car insurance, which was $24.68 as expected. [music] I did petrol on Wednesday and it was £40.

[00:05:04]It is I'm getting no more petrol than I used to. just costs more. And then I went to Sainsburries and I spent £3.95.

[00:05:14]What did I get, I hear you ask? Let me tell you. I got Dr. Pepper cherry criss h I got an egg protein pot and oh, do you know what? This was a meal deal.

[00:05:27]This was a meal deal. I got a Dr. Pepper, an egg protein pot, and a chicken and sage and onion stuffing sandwich. Then it was another two no spends in a row. I've just getting my head down with work recently. Uh so not really leaving the house too much. And then on the Saturday I went to Sainsbury's again and I spent £3.75.

[00:05:48]I know you are wondering you are here on baited breath. I bought eight Pepsi Maxes for 375. Bargain. So with that done and like it was nice to have some no spends. We'll move over to the check-in page and let's get up close and personal. Up close and personal. So, this is the check-in page where I have a look at my focus spending, specifically spending, petrol, haircut, and unbudgeted. We're going to start by filling in everything that we know.

[00:06:17]Okay, so it will look slightly different because we now have a holiday line. It's only going to be there up until, I think, week three when I spend it. But I want to sort of account for the money that I've saved up for it and how I spend it because we will go through holiday spends. So starting with spending. Last week we stuffed 20 because we are using wild card at the moment which is available on my Etsy store. 10% off with code bestie 10.

[00:06:41]Really really loving using that. But we pulled the jack last week which meant we had to save 20. So that's why we only had 20. I ended up not spending very much cuz I checked in so late. I spent £770 which would normally leave me with £1230. We are going to put that into a change t but we're going to do that after we've cashed off because there are some coins and I want to make sure there's some coins just in case for the wild card challenge. So we are going to roll over at zero. Petrol we stuffed nothing extra but we started off the month with 80. I spent 40 which left me with 40. Haircut we didn't do. I'm saving that so we still got 60. And then holiday, we spent nothing extra, so we've still got 500. I know I bought this shirt, but that's I bought that on Sunday, so it's actually in next week's budget. And there were no unbudgeted spends. So all in all, last week we stuffed 20. We spent 4770 and I've got 600 to roll over. So that's 100 from petrol and haircut and 500 from holiday. So, normally we would deal with the leap year tin, but because we're moving that to the end now before we well after we cash stuff, let's go into the budget and account for our spent.

[00:07:53]So, here's a maze budget looking stunning in emerald green. Pet insurance did come out. It did. It did not come out. So, I was expect Did it [snorts] Did it No, it didn't. Did it? Yeah, it did. I just forgot about it. It was $24.45.

[00:08:14]YouTube was $12.99.

[00:08:16]Netflix was $12.99. And car insurance was $2468.

[00:08:22]We've still got a couple bills left to go and we've got holiday to account for, but the budget looks great. Okay, so let's have a look at this new saving challenge. Very, very excited about this and it's the reason why we've got this hot [snorts] pink beautiful background.

[00:08:37]So, the saving challenge of the week and the new saving challenge is called hide and seek. Look at this. Let me take these out first so you can appreciate the envelope. So, if you've been up to date on the shorts, you would have seen me inserting this and you would have seen me put the vinyl on. This is a zipper only challenge and she's absolutely beautiful. [music] Now, a lot of you may recognize this insert. If you have been around a long time, you will know that when we first started my business and the channel, this was like an alcohol ink one. I can't remember what month it was, but I think it was something like June. And this was one of the top favorite designs. So, I had to bring it back and celebrate it. It does get a bit muted in the zipper, but still it it could do with a bit of mute. So, it's called hide and seek. Now, normally when I release a savings challenge, it's just got one insert, one thing to do.

[00:09:32]This one, count them. 1 2 3. Look at that. Now, I would have explained this fully on the short. The short, let's put it here. The short today with the green background where I go through it, but let me just show you essentially how these work is you assign a value for each [music] thing. Now, this one is a celebration themed one. So, you could do 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8. You could do five cents, however you want to do it. And essentially, there should be three of everything and then some extra stuff as well. So, let's say for instance, we assign one pound or $1 for the balloons.

[00:10:06]Every time we find a balloon, we'd color it in and save a pound and then it goes on and on and on. So, there's three.

[00:10:13]There will be more to come. If this challenge does really well, I'll do some more of these. Like, I'm quite happy to.

[00:10:19]This one is celebration themed. This one is like housework and chores themed. And this one is clothing themed. So, hide and seek. And you do get all three. You don't have to choose. Now, there's a couple of options when you buy this from the Etsy store. You can get the full set like this. So, with the zipper and with the challenges. You can get just the challenges by themselves, or you can get the challenges and the decal. So, if you have zippers already at home, you don't need to use another one of my zippers.

[00:10:47]So, you'd get this, the insert, and the decal. So everything you see here except for the actual zipper and you just stick the vinyl on yourself. Or if you prefer to have this onto a cash envelope, you can just disregard the insert and put that onto a like a normal cash envelope.

[00:11:03]So it's really really customizable for you to sort of suit yourself. Normally when I make a saving challenge, I'll just make a ton of them one way, but I'm finding it much more rewarding to allow you to choose different ways to do it.

[00:11:16]So this is how I like to see the savings challenge. But if you prefer cash envelopes, if you prefer to just have these in and chuck it into something else, there's uh many ways for you to do this challenge. So, I hope you like it.

[00:12:00]This is what we get left over. So I will be cash stuffing this when I have figured out what we're putting into wild card. So here we are. Here this is my teal binder. Also available on my Etsy store. I don't think I need to tell you what the discount code is by now. Before we take out our £40 for the week, let's move over to Wildcard and let's have a look. So, Wild Card is a challenge that is available on my Etsy store. We It's probably one of the longest servings challenges we've had. How it works is you have all of these cards. There are more, but we've pulled cards already.

[00:12:33]And basically, you turn it around and you pick a card at random. Now, the rules are, which you can make up yourself, but the rules are for me, you save whatever the face is. So, if I've got a six, I save six. But if it's a jack is 20, queen is 30, king is 40, and 40 is my whole money for the week. So, there will be a week where I go without money. There actually will. So, what I'm going to do is I'm going to shuffle these cards and pick one at random. And I love I don't know why I This is probably one of the most brutal challenges, but I do love it. So, let's do this one. Oh, okay. Okay. So, basically that's £40.

[00:13:15]So, let's think about this. Just put this away here and put the cards in the back. £40 means that all of the money that I've got for the week will go into it. So, let's pull that money out now.

[00:13:29]Two fives, a 10, [music] and a 20.

[00:13:31]That's my £40 for the week. And that's for the week after holiday, right? So, because it's £40, uh, I'm just going to do these.

[00:13:41]And I was hoping to put some money into tenner Tuesday, but now I think I'm going to roll over that 10 and save this. So, that's £40. Uh, I'm going to Okay, let's say goodbye to the to binder cuz she's uh she's traumatized me. So, in here, I'm going to give myself £10 for the week. And you know what? I only spent £7 last week, so it should be okay. And the thing, like if I need anything for holiday, that's what my holiday spending money is for. Like, it's not just about spending it on holiday. It's also about spending it before holiday, like so that I've got like a nice shirt. That's that. Okay, so that means I've got £230. You know what time it is. Let's go into the Leapia tin. This is available on my Etsy store, but when you buy it, it is just the sticker. There's loads of different versions. Sticks to absolutely anything.
