Sports gambling is a rapidly growing addiction that poses significant risks to individuals, families, and communities, as the odds are mathematically stacked against bettors, making long-term profitability impossible, and the industry's aggressive marketing tactics exploit vulnerable individuals, particularly young men, leading to financial ruin, debt, and psychological harm.

This Is Spreading Across America And It’s Getting Worse!!
Added:I just had a very long conversation with someone who I'd never met before who had an addiction for years with sports gambling and it ruined his life.
Ruined his finances, ruined everything.
And I just want to say, and I won't I'm going to let this topic go a little bit cuz I've been on it a lot lately, but I just want to say to young people out there, in particular young men, um don't gamble on sports. Seriously, don't do it. It is a black hole.
Um the odds are never in your favor.
Even when you think they're in your favor, they're not. And it is insanely addictive. Like insanely, insanely, insanely, insanely addictive. And the odds are not in your favor.
And you know that feeling you get, that gut feeling when you know something is going to happen in sports? I've had that, I'm 54. I've had that gut feeling many times, and then most 50% of the time it comes true. And the other 50% of the time it doesn't. I thought the Spurs were going to win the series. I actually knew the Spurs were going to win the series.
Um and I've covered and been around sports forever. So like gambling on those gut feelings or gambling on the this is a sure thing or that's a sure thing, just don't do it. And I'm telling you, these companies, they want you so badly to gamble that they're giving you inducements. One inducement after another inducement after another inducement after another inducement.
First bet free. Bet this, we'll throw this in. Um with if you bet within this this time, blah blah blah, or it's never been a better time to gamble. And when you listen to these people, I'm not kidding when I say this, the Bill Simmonses and the Mike Greenbergs and the guys on the pivot, all these people doing ads in sports, they don't care about you and they don't care about your welfare.
And I'm telling you it is a sickness that has impacted sports and even worse has impacted young men in this country who are just [ __ ] glued to their phones and gambling, gambling, gambling, and gambling their money away and coming into debt and hurting their futures. So just don't. Honestly, try something crazy and watch a sporting event for the enjoyment. Watch it for the enjoyment, even if you don't have a team in it.
It's Cavs-Bucks and you're a Lakers fan.
Just watch the game for the enjoyment and the athleticism. Go to a baseball game and kick back and buy yourself a soda or a beer and a hot dog and just enjoy the game.
Seriously, if you don't sports gamble and your friends do it, don't do it.
It's going to [ __ ] them up, okay? It is highly, highly addictive. The odds are stacked heavily against you. They are trying to get you to gamble because they know once you start you will not stop.
They don't care about you. There's a reason the tiny 1-800 gambling addiction number is this big on the bottom of a screen. There's a reason for that.
>> Mhm.
>> Don't do it. Trust me, trust me, trust me. I've been in sports for a long time.
These people do not have your best interests at heart. They are [ __ ] drug dealers trying to get you hooked.
Please.
Thank you.
>> I'll just go ahead and give it to y'all.
I'm putting $30,000 on the Spurs >> Did you see this name?
>> I'm literally the number one female sports spinner. You know I'm right. And if y'all cards don't sound LIKE THIS, DON'T TELL ME NOTHING. SO, go ahead and place the bet and come back to this video. Y'all tell me I didn't tell you.
>> This this is the algorithm though. Like, this is >> I'll just go ahead and give it to y'all.
I'm >> The fastest-growing addiction that is destroying young men in their 20s is online sports gambling. FanDuel is a portal to hell. DraftKings ain't king of nothing except their own pocketbook. And they're screwing an entire generation of young men because you don't [clears throat] win. That's why they can afford to buy ads. They're back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back ads every time you turn on a sporting event. They're spending billions of dollars. You know where they're getting that? It's out of your kids' freaking pocket cuz they're screwing an entire generation. This is evil stuff right here.
>> It doesn't matter how much of a sports better you are or how little you sports bet, you will not win in the end, no matter how much little you bet or how big you bet. You'll never be a winner because even if you bet little amounts all the time that little adds up. If you bet 10 times, you might win once. And it's not going to get you back what you did the other nine times. And even if you bet big, you're still going to lose. So, you already lost. So, once you lose one time, you lose a big amount, you start going small increments again cuz you don't want to bet anything big. Those small increments are going to end up being just as much as betting a big bet.
And also, on top of you not ever going to win money sports betting ever make it big, it takes all your time. You're thinking that I'm going to analyze this and look at these stats and tonight's going to be the night that I know he or she is going to do what I projected. And then they don't.
They don't They don't ever do it. They don't ever do it. And then the only time you really going to got a chance to win is some big money if you do multiple parlays. You get multiple people on one parlay.
And that's even That makes your chances even harder cuz what's the chances that eight people going to do the eight things you said in eight different sports?
Or in one game with eight people No.
Sports betting is very exciting when it first came was really It's very enticing. It's very fun. It's colorful.
Look like you're playing a video game.
But in all reality, they're just taking your money. They take anything you need.
They take You could bet five. You could bet a dollar. I mean, I bet it some. You could bet pennies. You know what I mean?
So, sports betting, I'm not going to say you don't do it. You can do it for fun once in a while every once in a while with the guys just to play amongst each other and see who end up being the better at it, but to do try to do it for a living or to make a profit, it's never going to work for you. You're never going to get more than you put in and you're never going to get rich. It doesn't matter how much >> Bro, if you're betting on sports, please stop making these simple ass mistakes.
You will never >> Sports betting has to be a creation from Satan himself. Cuz before I started sports betting, I was watching sports and enjoying the game just because I like basketball. Now, if I watch sports and I have a bet and I'm at the edge of my seat like I'm playing for the actual team. I genuinely get upset at these players because I know you can do better. That's why I put you on the over. If I didn't feel like you can do better, then [ __ ] go out there and It's like a drug cuz once you get a taste of winning with sports betting, you have to do it again. You want to take a break, but a little extra $10 is not going to hurt anything. You know, putting this on Wimby, going over for the night is not going to hurt anything until you lose the money. And don't get me started when the regular season is going on. Right now, we have the playoffs and nothing is really out except for women basketball.
I'm not watching that. And football. I might step into the football. Somebody put me down on some good parlay. But this stuff is genuinely like a modern age torture. It messes with your mind, messes with your time, and messes >> He said I'm not watching the women's basketball.
>> [laughter] >> with your happiness. Stop sports betting. Sports betting has to be a creation from >> Oh.
>> I just downloaded Polymarket and let me tell you what a mistake [music] that probably is. Or best [ __ ] thing that might happen to me.
I became a [ __ ] I don't care about it.
Uh I was the one that ripped the money. I was 17 bucks. No, I had 123 bucks on this one person. What was it?
[ __ ] idiot Scuria. 120 something dollars and won 154. Boom, got his ass beat. 17 bucks left and I ripped it out.
Boom, put it on [music] some Japanese.
Hit a smash. [ __ ] lost. I was mad.
[ __ ] had high odds. What was she doing?
But I whatever, I lost all that. It's a Wednesday and I got 46 dollars in my bank account. [music] What do I do? Rip the ladder. Rip half that out. Put it on baseball. Dude, I'm up about 50 bucks right now. I've got that riding on another match to make 66. [music] I just [ __ ] day trading. I'm just going to sports bet. I just downloaded Poly >> At least he's up $50, huh?
Unbelievable, man.
>> So, this is not talked about a lot, but being able to bet on when or whether or not the United States or Iran will have a permanent peace deal is evil. It's It's It's highly immoral. It's disgusting. It's much different from betting who's going to be the NBA champions or how many [ __ ] three-pointers O.J.
Anunoby's going to get. That That's [ __ ] sick in the head. And in saying this, I know I'm not going to change anything. Polymarket's already got its [ __ ] grips in everything. You know what I'm saying? Every I see something going on it's just some kind of viral campaign. Polly market. Polly market. Drake dropped a Polly market line. You think that's a coincidence?
No. It's It's cooked. But I need you to know that this is inherently evil and bad. Sports betting, sports gambling, bad as is. I do it. I do it. So once again, I'm not judging nobody for gambling. I'm not judging nobody for saying, "Oh, I'm putting a parlay together." Cool. It's just whatever. But a couple things. Number one, sports betting, most people that sports bet are stupid. Myself included. Most of the time, please How many times have you had egg on your face for putting a sports bet on? That you Oh, I know it's going to hit. I know he's going to get 15 and the [ __ ] got two. If you have access to sports betting, then you probably have access to a stat book. You probably have access to like some kind of Discord server or or something where you can see how this person did in this arena with the same team against the same team around the same time of the year. And most people don't look it up. They don't They don't really do the research to see what will my bet really do. Most sports bets are dead ass just a donation. Most people are just like, "All right, you know what? Take my $30 donation. I might get 300 back." And then they never do.
AND BY THE TIME THEY GET 300 BACK, THEY ALREADY PUT IN 800. Go open up your FanDuel right now and go see how much you put in and how much you were able to take out. Most 95% of people you you're at a loss. And most people are at a crazy [ __ ] loss. And you know why they don't stop? Cuz they'll they'll get you just enough that high when you hit or they'll be like, "Hey, man, this is a free bet on us." You're not just going to stop there. This sports betting is evil. I still do it, but it's evil. Now, imagine putting that onto whether or [laughter] not [ __ ] are dying.
THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG WITH THAT IN OUR SOUL. IS IT NOT ENOUGH? ANOTHER THING IS sometimes the bets that you make don't hit because it's just That's just how game is, right? Sometimes it's also because you're a bad better. But sometimes they manipulate that [ __ ] Let's not [ __ ] lie. Not only do they purposely promote parlays and bets that aren't going to hit to people that don't know any better, but how many times in the last five years have you heard about a player or a ref or someone that that has some kind of close connection to someone in the game getting in trouble because they somehow somehow manipulated a a bet or put a bet on something that they knew was or wasn't going to hit.
Come on now. So now you have that. Pair that with insider trading. Pair that with with with being able to bet on whether or not Bitcoin is going up or down in the next five minutes. That's a real thing, by the way. It's 51% [laughter] up. It's a live bet. I am not smart enough to tell you to break that down how that might work, but I can pretty much say that betting on whether or not something's going to go up or down in the next five minutes That That can't be good. That That can't be safe.
Anyone can just be like, "Yeah, pull it out right now." And then And then we're we're good to go. All of this is inherently bad and evil and and and and it's not good. And that some people going to come up with a couple thousand dollars. At worst, you're losing part of your soul and a big part of your pocket.
And people are betting on the lives of others.
That's all. That's all.
>> This is just a friendly reminder that you have to pay taxes on your gambling winnings.
>> [laughter] >> Yeah. As my accountant often reminds me, the more taxes you pay, it means the more money you made. So, good on you, sir. Can I >> Y'all know how I feel about the taxation system with all taxes. I think it ought to be all abolished. I don't believe [clears throat] in it.
I think it's the enemy of the people, the enemy enemy within. I think it's a theft system.
I think millions of patriots and people have been robbed in broad daylight.
>> recommend rather than Florida, think about Canada, where I paid a grand total of $0 and 0 cents. That is right. In Canada, you are not taxed on any gambling winnings at all.
If you make $5, you keep it. If you make $5 million, >> Now, I know when most people gamble, well, this is what I was, you know, I'm not going write anything or anybody out, but they went to the casino, they won 20,000, and on their taxes, they wrote on the, you know, they they reported that they lost, they played back all the 20,000.
But, they don't know that. The IRS doesn't know that.
Just gave some of y'all free game, huh?
Yeah, you go to that casino and win.
Just say that you played it all back.
>> Yeah. You keep it. Zero taxes for >> When was the first time you felt like you got real money? Like your real money.
>> Listen, I don't know where the narrative came from that, you know, betting on the World Cup this year is a good idea. I just got bent over and robbed. There's no way, right? There's no way. I bet on the Ghana game. I'm like, okay, surely maybe it'll [music] be like 2-1, right?
So, I bet over 2.5 and I bet Ghana scoring over 1.5 goals, right? Why in the [ __ ] is there a [ __ ] doing voodoo in the stands doing doing spells and [ __ ] My my my man is doing spells and [ __ ] And and then the game I lose my bet. What was it? A slap in the face to me? Are you crazy? I mean, what the [ __ ] is going on at the World Cup, bro?
What is going on, bro? Y'all [ __ ] are just robbing it.
>> He he betting on the World Cup. Good luck with that.
>> I don't have a problem with sports betting, but you just got to know that that shit's a gamble. You're relying on somebody else to do something for you to win the [ __ ] game. And me personally, I would rather have I'd rather it be my fault that I don't win my gamble. It's so I'd rather put that [ __ ] on the market. Then it's me versus like some automated thing.
And then I'm the reason like my skill set is the reason why I'm winning or losing the gamble. I don't have a >> He's 300,000 in debt on credit cards.
His wife just found out and it's all sports betting, which is probably the fastest [laughter] growing addictive [snorts] problem that we're running into in the money world right now. Out of control sports betting. You can bet on whether they're going to dance backwards or forwards after a touchdown. You can bet on anything, right? And they are betting on everything and it's out of control.
Some of you are losing your entire futures to betting on watching someone else earn a living.
He's 300,000 in debt.
>> But y'all weigh in with your thoughts.
As we know, this is spreading across America.
This has changed a lot of lives. This has ruined a lot of lives. Um we just read up on that story and we're probably going to cover that as well and do a deep dive on it, but that young lady who lost her husband, I know that broke all over Tik Tok and the internet.
Um and he you know, he got so much in debt.
You know, uh things started being repossessed. Um they were behind on the mortgage and just everything and he killed himself.
You know, and I send my send my my my love and prayers and condolences to that family.
You know, we're probably going to be doing a cover on that case on this show, but again, man, this is spreading across America. It's been spreading for quite a while now and um again, let me know in the comments section. Do you sports bet? Do you gamble? Or you know, whatever it may be, let me know. Have you ever placed a bet on one of these sporting uh betting apps? Let me know in the comments section down below.
And weigh in with your thoughts. How y'all feel about this? And I'll catch y'all in the next one.
>> Want to really see something that's sad?
Take a look at what happened.

>> [music] >> We will make America wealthy again.
And yes, together, we will make America great again.
