Shoplifting consequences vary significantly based on honesty, cooperation, and prior criminal history; those who admit wrongdoing and cooperate with law enforcement may receive lighter penalties like citations and court dates, while those who resist, flee, or have prior convictions face escalated charges including felonies, with the crime being complete once merchandise leaves the store regardless of payment attempts afterward.

Added:murdering because this guy told me that I was waiting for a [ __ ] manager.
>> No, I am going to blame him because he lied. I'd rather him have been honest.
>> We can give you information. We can go.
>> No.
>> Hold up. You don't got to put your hands on me. Okay. No. Hey, why you hanging up?
>> Please let me go.
>> Don't. No, you can't leave. You just You just got caught stealing.
>> No, they're lying.
>> Oh, lined. They're lined. I thought you said they they were lying.
>> These suspects seem to have different ways of trying to escape responsibility.
from reckless getaway attempts to carefully planned scams. But no matter how smart a scheme may look, every plan has a weakness and professional officers and cameras use those mistakes to expose every trick, turning their escape attempts straight into jail time.
This is when shoplifterss get caught stealing. An entire cart full from Walmart. Wishing all Tag View viewers a day full of energy. Today, let's follow the trail of suspects who bring plenty of surprises, humor, and unbelievable moments. Starting with this woman who got caught but seemed more upset that police were called than about what she had done.
>> Look at me.
On January 15th, 2022, Roswell police were called to Walmart after employees reported a shoplifting incident. Unlike many suspects, the woman quickly admitted she had taken items that were not hers and had not fully paid for them.
>> Hello.
>> Hi.
>> What's going on?
>> Shoplifting Ka Crutchfield.
All righty.
>> Under ring at the register.
>> You said under ring.
>> Yeah.
>> Who was it that saw her?
>> I didn't.
>> You did? Okay.
>> Is there okay that we can close this door? I just have a very bad >> Is it Is it that or you don't want people to see you cuz you're in here?
>> I do that, too. All right. Yeah, come on.
>> Embarrassing, but I but it was a draft.
>> So, what what's the deal? What what happened?
>> I honestly took what I wasn't mind and I just scanned and I shouldn't have and I should have paid for it all. Be very honest. There's no excuse.
>> Okay.
>> All right.
>> All right. We appreciate the honesty.
>> You're the first one to be honest about it.
I mean, it's all it's all on video. It's fine.
>> During the conversation, she opened up about why she did it. Officers acknowledged her honesty, but reminded her that stealing would only make her situation harder.
>> Really any reason as to why.
>> I just couldn't afford it. I'm stamps at the moment, and it's just been like really tough. I have a sick daughter.
>> This isn't going to help your situation at all.
>> I know. My daughter is actually home right now with a awful fever and I've with her babysitter and it's just been like awful. Like we've just been going through a very tough time.
>> How old is your daughter?
>> She's two.
>> She's two. Okay.
>> So I just I'm not going to die.
>> Yeah. Just been a tough time for us and I was just trying to make her feel better honestly. But >> look at me real quick.
Okay, we'll we'll have a conversation after this.
>> Officers checked her information and asked if she had any prior shoplifting history. Since this appeared to be her first offense, they calmly explained the process and tried to keep the situation under control.
>> Do you have a history of this? Have you been got charged with this before?
>> Okay, I'll let you run her.
And this is the Okay, >> I offered to pay for this stuff, but I that's it.
>> So, look, I understand your situation where you're coming from. This isn't going to help your situation at all.
Okay. Now, he's going to make sure that you don't have history of this. So, >> no. I mean, of course, >> be honest with me. Have you been charged with shoplifting before?
>> Okay. So, the way this works, and you admitted it to us, we got it on camera.
You're going to have a court date for this. Okay. It'll be Listen to me, Ka.
Listen to me. Look at me.
>> Hey, look at me. It's not the end of the world, but you need to look at me. No, no, no, no, no, no. Look at me. It's a city ordinance. It's not a state charge.
>> I don't know what that means.
>> Okay. State charge goes on your record.
City ordinance does not. Okay. So, you'll go to city court. City will do something. I don't know what they're going to do, whether it be like community service or something like that. The situation grew tense when she accused Walmart staff of lying about calling police. Officers stepped in and explained that Walmart could still press charges after the theft was caught on camera. Honestly, getting angry at the staff doesn't really help at that point.
If Walmart already had the incident on camera, blaming employees for calling police only made the situation look worse. What did she think was going to happen once the footage was reviewed?
literally told me, Tim, that you didn't call the police. Like, so that No, you told her. I get it. It's a job, but it's just a conversation of I even when it happened and I spoke, we talked about it.
>> Look, we're we're beyond that. Okay.
>> Obviously, >> they have a job to do. Okay. You still committed a crime. Okay.
>> And I'm aware of that. I'm fully aware of that. It's just the communication has been completely clear up until this point. So that's my only issue that I'm having.
>> You know, I hate it for you.
>> No, that's >> like I said, I understand your situation, but you know better.
>> Yeah.
>> And he got caught and now you got to face the consequences, right? So look, like I was saying, it's not a state charge. It's a city ordinance, which means it's not going on your record.
Okay? Problem is now you have an established history. Okay?
So if you do this again >> and you get caught, it's going to be pulled up.
>> Yeah.
>> Okay.
>> I think so.
>> So your daughter's too.
>> What's your daughter's name?
>> Alyssa.
>> Alyssa. Okay.
Are you in Roswell?
>> Yeah.
>> You are.
>> Okay.
Do you have any family in the area?
>> Where you from?
>> Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh or >> No, Poconos.
>> Poconos up around Amish country.
>> Yeah.
>> Okay.
What do you do right now?
>> I'm a server.
>> You're a server. Where at?
>> Chili's.
>> Chili's?
>> Yeah.
>> You know what I did before I was a cop?
I was a server. I had Longhorns.
made bank at Longhorns.
>> Well, maybe I should go there.
>> How long have you been a server?
>> For two years.
>> Two years. Okay.
Okay.
>> This is your This is your come to Jesus moment. Okay.
>> No, it's not. It's very [ __ ] aggravating because this guy told me that I was waiting for a [ __ ] manager. No, I am going to blame him because he lied. I'd rather him have been honest and been like, "Okay, they are going to come. that's why you're waiting instead of me having to waste my money on an Uber that sat outside for literally 15 minutes and now you're telling like and now you're here like this is what's my problem like instead of that I would have canled it like it's just I don't like when people like if you're going to be honest I'm already in a situation I told you the truth like I don't understand why you telling me that I'm waiting for a manager that literally never showed up and now you guys are here that's my issue Like, and I feel like I have the right to be upset because I'm being lied to about something when I've been completely honest up until this point.
Like, until this point, I'm still honest. Like, you I knew that I did something wrong. Like, that's what I don't understand. Why not just be freaking honest? If your guys are going to come, then fine. I can let my babysitter know who I'm literally trying to get home to so I can go to the hospital to take my daughter.
Annoying.
Now I have to go to court and spend extra money that I literally don't have.
Like this is very aggravating.
What time is the babysitter supposed to leave?
>> They were supposed to go.
>> Okay.
I'll try to do this as quickly as possible so we can get you out of here.
Walmart confirmed the value of all 11 items and the woman was required to sign for a court date. She was warned that missing court could lead to a warrant, making it clear this would not simply be forgiven.
>> What was the total?
>> Total was total cost is 5159.
Total items are 11.
Here you go.
>> And you also lied about that because you said it was $49.
>> Well, no, no, no. He's correct about that cuz there's a different >> but we list total cost altogether. So that's with taxes included and everything.
X here. Just need you to sign. You were advised your court date 1300 hours.
That's 1:00 in the afternoon. Um, just make sure that you show up to that. If you don't show up to that, there's a warrant could be issued for your arrest.
Okay, that's all that is. Like you officer Connelly already explained to you, it's just a city traffic charge or a city charge. It's even less than a traffic charge. Okay, I get that this is an unfortunate situation. Um, but Walmart, they they have their own set of standards that they need to uphold and We just kind of show up and and if they want to press charges, we have to do what we have to do.
>> She was issued a city charge for disorderly conduct.
>> All right, that's going to be your copy.
>> Officers noticed a bruise under her left eye and gently asked if she was safe, then offered information about shelters, protection orders, and support resources.
>> What's up? You do >> you okay or you do want to talk to me?
No, >> I'm okay. All right. You sure?
Yeah.
>> Okay. Because there are things that you can do.
>> Okay.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. That's, you know, it's there. I can see it.
>> Okay. Well, as far as that goes, look, I'm going to tell you this. There are things that you can do.
There are shelters for women, and they'll take in kids, too, with you.
Okay, I don't know who did it. I don't know if it was family. I don't know if it was ex-lover, current lover, whatever. But there are resources out there for that.
Okay? And there are certain things that you can do like if you ever wanted to file a report wherever it happened, you can file a report there and then you can take that report to a magistrate judge and magistrate court and start the process for a temporary protection order. Okay.
All right. Hey, look at me.
Look at me.
I know it's hard. I know it's hard. Hey, but there are things you can do. There are resources out there for you. All right.
And the quicker you can get out of whatever situation, the better life will get for you. You're going to you're going to have to bust your hut for it, but you want to try to get out of that.
Okay, let's let's try to get out of doing this kind of stuff because this isn't going to help you at all. It's going to make things more difficult than they already are and you need to do that, especially with a sick 2-year-old. Okay.
>> Okay. Let's get you out of here.
>> Your license and you're also you're not being trespassed from the property. You just have to wait 24 hours before you can come back. Okay.
>> Okay.
Have to come back.
>> Oh, the Longhorns I worked at was actually next door.
It's been really slow.
>> Yeah.
>> For months. So, >> yeah. CO has made things pretty crappy.
>> Scary.
>> Okay. You good? Collect yourself.
Can I ask you something? Did that happen in Roswell?
>> Yes.
>> Okay. You sure you don't want to report?
Okay.
officers chose to issue her a citation instead of taking her to jail. Before she left for Uber, they reminded her that support was available and that hardship did not have to lead to another bad decision. You >> ever need us, you call us. No matter how stupid you may think it is, we're never not going to show up.
>> Okay?
>> Yeah.
>> We'd rather you call us. And if we can show up and mediate something to prevent something from happening, we'd rather that. But never never hesitate to call us, right? Okay.
>> Okay.
>> I I get that this right here is kind of an unfortunate situation. Um this is not how I wanted to meet you. Um but uh hopefully this is a little bit of a wakeup call in this situation and uh and we we don't have you out here again doing this. Okay.
>> Okay. Can >> you notify your Uber?
>> Yeah.
>> Okay.
>> What's the uh what's the timeline for Uber?
>> 8 minutes.
>> 8 minutes. Okay.
>> Do you want to do you want to wait in the car with the heat on?
>> No.
>> You're not going to jail or anything.
It's just you just if you wanted to wait in there instead of in here or out in the cold.
>> We don't mind. 8 minutes isn't that long of a time.
>> The woman was issued a city citation for shoplifting after Walmart employees said she failed to pay for 11 items worth approximately $5159.
Because she was honest with officers, had no prior shoplifting history, and the case was handled as a city ordinance rather than a state charge. She was not taken to jail and was given a court date instead. And as usual, the comment section is where viewers say what everyone else is thinking. She is mad because the Walmart employees were not honest with the person stealing from them. Can't make this crap up. I almost felt bad for her until I heard her fully blame the guy for this problem. Nah, these officers are spectacular. The fact that they showed so much care and compassion, very rare. Great job, guys.
Hardship can push people toward bad choices, but even a desperate decision can have real consequences.
A few stolen items could never fix the bigger problems in her life. And getting the right help was far better than letting pressure make everything worse.
But the next case shows that when very young suspects are caught for shoplifting, things are not always handled lightly.
>> Supposed to see a video.
>> You're not supposed to say anything.
>> Well, I found out that's what they said.
>> Oh, yeah. Now y'all don't know.
Why are you trying to act all tough?
>> On May 21st, 2024, police were called to Walmart after employees reported two women involved in a shoplifting case.
When officers approached them, both began arguing and refused to answer basic questions.
>> Two shoplifterss.
>> How are you?
How old are you?
Don't answer my questions. You're going to have handcuffs. You pick.
>> Okay. I just >> Go on.
>> He's asking what?
>> I'm asking you a question. How old are you?
>> I said this was going to be quick.
>> Okay. Well, you're making this not quick. That's the thing.
>> Nobody had told you.
>> You didn't tell me anything.
>> Well, they got it written down. Okay.
I'm I'm asking you as a human, as a person to person, if you want to get an attitude, you're not going to win this.
I promise you.
>> You're not raising your voice.
>> Because you refuse to answer any questions. So, if you want in cuffs, we can do that. We can make it super easy.
>> Either way, I have paperwork to do. So, if you want to go home, you can tell me your name. If not, you can go to jail.
>> Despite repeated requests for their names, ages, and IDs, the two young suspects kept dodging basic questions.
Instead, they argued back and insisted they should see the video first.
>> I'm just waiting for my right to be honest.
>> Okay. Well, you're not going anywhere right now. You're being detained. You're not free to go.
>> How are we detained?
>> Because they're accusing you of shoplifting. So, until we figure out what's going on, you are not free to go.
>> I already figured that out. Okay.
>> It doesn't matter. You still committed a crime. So, again, you're not free to go.
So, do you have ID on you?
>> ID.
>> Okay. So, how old are you?
If we give you everything, we could go.
>> How old are you?
>> We can give you information. We can go.
>> No.
>> I get paid by the hour. I'm here till 3, so I don't really care.
>> Don't be mad you got caught.
>> Who was mad? No one's mad.
>> I don't know.
>> No one mad.
>> Sorry. You refusing to identify yourself. We only know if this is true or not.
>> So, how old are you?
>> I thought we were supposed to see a video.
>> You're not supposed to say anything.
>> Well, that's what they said.
>> Oh, yeah. Now y'all don't know.
>> Why are you trying to act all?
>> We got the deputies here now. They're in charge.
>> They're in charge now. This is their building.
>> Can you do the video?
>> You're not You don't have to see anything.
>> We have >> 65 now.
So, do you have ID on you?
>> They said no.
>> I don't have an ID on you.
>> Okay. How old are you?
>> Get comfy cuz until we figure out who you are, you guys aren't going anywhere.
>> Officers explained that they were being detained over Walmart's shoplifting accusation and were not free to leave.
Still, both kept arguing, turning a simple stop into a longer test of the officer's patience. Honestly, this was the moment where they should have stopped talking and listened. If officers already explained they were being detained, why keep arguing and slowly make a simple situation worse?
Were they just trying to delay things because they had something to hide?
>> Why are you making this harder than it has to be?
>> Cuz this is so uh we're already about to catch the bus.
>> Okay. Well, now you're going to miss the bus. Sorry. Oh, definitely. We've been working the bus.
>> Okay. Sorry. Don't Don't commit a crime.
>> Too late.
>> I know it's too late.
>> I didn't >> That's why I'm here.
>> I didn't say too late.
>> You just did.
>> No, I said truly.
>> Okay.
>> So, how old are you?
This point just got to figure out where they are to figure out where they're going.
>> Yes.
Stay for now.
>> Huh? Stay for now.
>> Oh, they're Yeah, they're not free to go. I've already told him that.
>> Yeah. You stand up. Stand up. Stand up.
No. Stand up. Take your bag off.
>> Why would you mean >> or pass that? Stand up. Take your bag off.
>> What do we do?
>> Stand up. Take your bag off or I'm going to make you stand up.
>> You could do the same.
>> Okay. But can we look at that and see?
>> No. You have no right to look at that.
>> She's been telling us this whole time.
>> Okay. We're past that point. You refused to come inside until I got here.
He refused to give me the information I need to complete my report.
>> No, it's too late. Right now, you're going to stand up and you're going to we're going to put you in cuffs. We're going to do it this way.
>> After multiple warnings, officers lost patience and arrested both women. One insisted she was a minor, but without verified identity. That excuse did not stop the process.
>> Hello.
>> Hold up. You don't got to put your hands on me. Okay. WHY YOU HANGING UP?
>> Put your hands behind your back.
>> Tighten up.
time that I'll charge you another charge and I'll push you straight into the bed.
>> What are you charging me with? I'm a minor are you for my do, dumb ass.
>> Oh, I'm the dumbass.
>> Sit down.
>> Probably say dad 51. Show us two females detained.
>> Okay, so now we're at this point. What's your name?
So, was this necessary?
>> No.
>> Would you not answer my question for the past 10 minutes necessary?
>> This could have been very simple. You could have given me your name if I could have grabbed the information. You guys could have been on your way.
>> But instead, now both of you are on cuffs.
>> I don't know if we can do John. We can do Jane Doe and all that jazz.
Um, >> are you going to give us your name?
names.
Hello.
How many more times I need to ask?
>> What's the total? Um, there's more of that.
>> Yeah, we got some more.
>> I told him to go check the cart in the toy out. He kept ignoring me.
>> Kind of like you kept ignoring me.
>> You're right.
>> Why are you getting that? What? What the is your problem?
>> Ow. What the? You got my >> Hey, give me your phone.
>> What the >> Go ahead.
>> Both women were handcuffed and held while officers verified their information. Police later confirmed they were both over 18 as Walmart continued counting the suspected stolen items they treated like trophies.
>> All right, she's 18.
>> Yeah.
>> What about the other one?
>> She might not have a name file. Can't find it at the moment, but I found the 18-year-olds.
>> I mean, cooperative or sorry, call >> nothing but you say that for me.
>> They're just a pain for now.
>> Okay. Coming over here against the wall for do you have anything on you I need to know about?
>> No. Anything that's going to stick me, stab me, anything like that? Turn off the wall. I >> figure I found her. It's definitely They're both definitely bold them.
>> Were they both over 18?
>> Uh yeah, she's just actually she's just about 19. 18. Yeah, you're good. Both adults.
>> Have a seat.
>> What's up?
>> That What else is in there?
>> Oh, no. That >> Here's this. This was behind her.
>> That was in her waistband.
That's my wallet. My >> second there's a No, >> there's a cart of the missing. There's stuff that they tell me if the makeup is here.
Where' he?
>> No. Yeah, I thought it was with you.
>> So, I'll be right back.
>> Okay.
Hello.
>> Where you got a cologne from?
I don't know where >> Tracy, where's Oliver? Oliver's inside.
>> Oh, what?
>> Yeah.
>> Oh, hi.
Yeah, I'm filming.
>> I think he they were just taking it back to to something.
>> Can you make sure he's right there?
>> Yeah, we'll get it, too.
>> Oh, no, no, no. You don't know who it is. He's right there.
>> Okay. When we walk out, you can tell me and then I'll come back.
this. Can you place some in there?
>> I'm going in a second. I'm wor about that in a second.
>> No. Hey, y get my everything.
Just stand there. We'll take care. We'll talk to you in a second.
Can you help them walk over here to the guard to make sure that they got everything?
>> Appreciate it.
>> Both women were detained for retail theft after Walmart employees accused them of shoplifting and officers found suspected stolen merchandise connected to the incident. After the footage was posted, viewers quickly turned the comments into their own crime scene analysis. Take their phones and you'll get their cooperation. They're 18/19.
They look 14 or 15, but act like 10year-olds. I blame the parents. I would have taken them to jail and let them sit there until they identified.
The lesson is that a shoplifting case doesn't always become serious because of the value of the items, but because of how people react after being stopped.
when the store already has the evidence, arguing will not change the truth. It only makes the consequences worse. But if you thought that escape attempt was reckless, the next case shows a suspect who had turned shoplifting into a habit.
And when she was caught again, she chose the dumbest possible way out.
>> Ma'am, relax. What is wrong with you right now?
>> I need to go.
>> You can't leave. You are not leaving right now. On May 2nd, 2023, police responded to an active shoplifting call at Wind Dixie. When an officer asked the suspect if she had a receipt or had paid for the items, her reaction quickly made the situation tense.
>> You have a receipt or did you buy this?
>> Um, no. I'm sorry.
>> Don't leave. Come back here. Don't leave. Come back. Ma'am, come here.
Ma'am, come here. Stop. Don't run. What are you What are you doing? What are you doing?
>> Please let me go.
>> Don't No, you can't leave. You just You just got caught stealing. Come back here. You're detained right now. You cannot leave.
Stay right here.
Go to the sidewalk.
Six copy signal 30 at Windixie.
>> Ma'am, don't don't leave. Where are you going?
>> I'm not touching me.
>> You're detained right now.
>> Stop touching me.
>> You are detained right now. You have to stay right here.
>> You're not allowed to leave.
>> Okay, let me go.
>> Stay right here.
So, are you good for >> Even after being stopped once, the suspect tried to walk away again.
Officers stayed patient, but she kept ignoring commands, and her attitude only made things escalate.
Go for >> Can I get a uh 94?
>> Stay right here. Where are you going?
Stand right here.
>> 104.
>> Ma'am, you need to stay right here.
What? Dude, you have an idea on >> X1.
>> Stay right here. Do not leave.
>> Ma'am, what are you doing? What are you doing right now? You need to stay right here. Hey, can you grab her?
>> Ma'am, relax. What is wrong with you right now?
>> I need to go.
>> You can't leave. You are not leaving right now.
Put your arms behind your back.
Put your arms behind your back.
I'm not going to try to leave.
>> No, it's too late.
>> I'm not playing this game anymore.
>> Put your m back, man.
>> 61 to 10.
>> One detain at 1856.
Can I stand up, please?
>> You got to hold on one second.
>> Come on. Stand up.
Right on time, huh?
>> Pretty much.
>> Where's your ID?
>> I don't know.
>> You don't have one?
>> You don't have one in your purse?
>> Have another unit come by. Uh, can you have the manager come up?
>> Yeah, I got you. You want me to take this in or leave it right here? He leave right here till he comes out and decides what she wants to do.
>> With their patience running out, officers restrained and handcuffed her for resisting and trying to leave. She said she only wanted items for her family, but her own actions were making everything worse. Honestly, it's hard to feel like her explanation helped at that point. Saying she only wanted items for her family might sound emotional, but ignoring commands and trying to leave only made her look more guilty. If she really wanted officers to understand, why keep doing the one thing that made everything worse?
>> Why would you need stuff?
>> Yeah, absolutely. I mean, I'm just trying to get stuff for my family. I'm sorry. And I I don't want to go to jail.
That's the last thing I need right now.
>> Why are you trying to run from me when I tell you not to move? Why do I have to grab you? I don't want Do you think I want to do this?
>> No, I don't. I'm just I'm >> I know they say you're scared, but you cannot run from the law enforcement when they're stopping you.
>> You're esc You escalated this. I don't want I didn't have to put cuffs on you.
I just have her detained right now.
>> Just looking for on camera, actually.
>> So, you want to like get the price of everything that she's taking or >> do it right now.
>> Do you have anything in your purse that you took also?
>> No. I mean, I don't know.
>> Is there any way I could just be trespassed or something?
>> We'll find out when the other officer gets here.
Go for it. We're just going to wait out here for a moment.
Yeah. Yeah. You know, let's go inside.
>> You want Where do you want to hold her at? You want to take her inside the man's office? Yeah, we can.
The suspect was taken to an office for further investigation while officers reviewed footage and confirmed the value of the items. She asked if she could just be banned from the store instead, but by then it seemed she already had her answer.
>> The boy, what's up? She was waiting for her ride for getaway car was actually parked in the front parking spot in that handicap place. Uhoh.
>> You got it on camera?
>> Uh, yeah.
>> You got a tag on there or whatever. Even if you don't have one, >> I'm going to I'm going to try to get a tag for you now.
>> 1439 from last night.
>> I do, but I think I got a plane for you.
>> All right, you're good to go.
>> Make sure back here.
>> Think we're going to have your property.
So, with your bags and stuff. Yeah, I know.
All right, go ahead. You do.
>> Thanks a lot.
>> Yep.
>> You need anything else?
>> You know what to put on your CR and everything?
>> I figured out I'm going to go to I'm going to go to a station to get with Sergeant cuz u probation.
>> Okay.
>> So, he's going to explain it to me.
>> Samantha was charged with felony petty theft, resisting an officer without violence and violation of probation after the Wind Dixie shoplifting incident. What could have been a simple theft case became much more serious when she repeatedly ignored officers, tried to walk away while detained, and was already connected to probation. Some cases make viewers angry, but the comments somehow make the whole situation even harder to believe. The biggest criminals are the judges who keep letting her off. Currently out on bond because the judge is giving her the 89th chance. Her pathetic attempt to run is funny. The first mistake may have been small, but her reaction made it worse. If she had stopped and cooperated, it could have stayed simple, but walking away, ignoring commands, and being on probation turned it into a much more serious arrest. Sometimes shoplifterss don't act alone. In the next case, they moved as an organized group. But while they thought everything was going smoothly, police were already watching.
>> You don't have an ID, a floor ID, any kind of ID.
>> An ID from anywhere?
On May 27th, 2023, police waited outside an outlet mall after learning a group of shoplifting suspects was heading back to their car. When they appeared, officers moved in and ended their illegal shopping trip.
>> Come over here.
>> 10. Come on.
Go over there. You go over there.
You're >> being accused of stealing.
back down. Just hold that back.
>> Hey, get him. Get him.
>> Hey, you back.
>> That is hers. Put that by her. This is >> Oh, stage for the other one or No, >> that might be the other way.
>> I don't know.
>> Okay. Uh Take a seat.
>> Do I have to?
>> Yes.
>> He has nothing to do with this, right?
No. 54 on him. Let him go.
>> Two women were detained at the scene while police continued searching for the remaining man in the group. The bags were separated so officers could determine who they belong to and whether they were tied to the theft.
>> So, we're still missing one.
>> Yeah, he has a white shirt.
>> Okay.
>> 54. We're just 102 with the two females.
We're looking for the male portion of that's a vehicle >> for the male.
>> Okay.
>> We're using stage to where no one gets in that car.
>> The tattoo on the arm guy.
Hey ladies, how you doing?
>> I'm reviewing camera right now.
>> You got an ID on you?
>> No.
>> No.
>> Line too.
>> Yeah.
>> What's your first name?
>> Wait, where's their ID?
>> They don't have No, they're lined.
>> Oh, lined. Aligned. I thought you said they they were lying. I'm like, what?
What?
>> Yeah, they're lying.
>> Are you staying here? You chilling for the other guy, right?
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. Hold on. Mike Husky left Andrew.
They're all working together.
>> Want me to tag the other one?
>> Um, it looks like two pairs of shoes each.
>> Police began checking their identities, but neither woman had ID. With their information unclear, it seemed like they were trying to stall and hide something they did not want officers to find.
>> Have an ID?
>> No.
>> No.
>> You don't have an ID? A floor ID? Any kind of ID?
>> An ID from anywhere?
Yeah, we still just I rather have someone to push just in case. Did we take the piranha out?
>> Yes.
>> I just don't know if we have the charges on him to do it.
>> Okay. What's your birthday?
>> 4th December.
>> He just saw this guy come out to the car with the full bags, dump the stuff, fold the shopping bags, and go back in.
>> Oh no, that sounds like a good amount.
>> And it's a good amount he has in there.
You don't got nothing with your information on it?
>> No.
>> Echo 84 back. Copy 1029P by name and date of birth. Times two >> 104.
I told you to stop them. Get three stars. It looked like he was about to start sprinting.
>> Well, yeah. And then I have Trevor.
Trevor's like Trevor calls. He's like, "Oh, no. His car is parked right next to there." His wife was walking up.
>> Officers tied the car to the group after a man was seen stashing bags inside. One woman still refused to identify herself, so police warned she could be listed as Jane Doe. At that point, refusing to give a clear identity only made her look more suspicious. If officers already had a car, bags of merchandise, and a possible crew connection, why make the process harder unless there was something she didn't want them to find?
>> Said no record found ID or deal >> for both of them.
>> I'm trying to help you, believe it or not.
>> Me, too.
>> You got my all my >> Okay. Okay, that's fine.
>> If I can't find you on here and you refuse to give me your name, you're going to go and do my name. You got my name.
>> Well, I'm trying to find it. If it doesn't come up and I can't verify your identity, like I can't verify your identity.
>> You ready? And they said that we don't have no record.
>> No, that means you you don't have a driver's license at all.
>> I do have to identify >> if I don't positively identify you, right?
>> Okay.
>> That means that I'm going to put you under John Doe >> and that's going to make it a lot >> or Jane do >> and then it's going to make it really hard for you to get out of there.
>> They were talking.
>> Yeah, that's fine. male with a white shirt and >> and gray hat walking the car.
>> Can you sit there?
>> Yeah, I can fly.
>> Police found more suspects near the vehicle and detained a man seen trying to lock the car. Once everyone involved was held, officers worked to verify identities and determine each person's role in the group.
trying to get away here.
>> I got cops.
>> He's got these tools here.
>> He just locked the door. He just tried to lock the doors to the car, too.
>> Adidas.
>> Where do you want to see it? Right here, >> Dennis. Where's your car at?
>> My car is all the way by Old Navy.
>> Bring mine over.
>> Well, I wanted to free you up.
>> Hey, we're literally right.
>> We don't have enough people. We only have four people. So, I'll bring my car over.
>> Erica, can you put those two females in your car? That way, we can try to figure out echo.
>> Stand up.
>> And we're going to be 1012 with all parties.
>> 1040.
>> So, you see the way there's nothing inside the car. The same way you go here is the same way we expect when you come in. Okay.
Um, >> he dropped it. The passenger dropped it.
>> Yeah, cuz he saw he saw a driver getting approached and then he tried to like >> Thank you.
type of phone.
>> Uh, well, we'll I'm going to leave my camera to see if we can get anything.
>> Verify who you are.
>> All right.
>> Listen, just call the person. Your first name is spelled J E S S I C A.
>> No. J E S S C A.
>> J E S S >> I C A.
>> Yeah. J E S S I C A.
>> Okay.
>> What is your social?
>> But I don't know why you need my social for >> to help me pull you up cuz I'm having a hard time, right? So, if I can pull you up and I don't have to pull you in as a Jane Doe, it makes it easier for you to get out. So, if that's what you want, that's fine. We can do it that way. But, I'm trying to make this a little bit easier on you.
He's got his ID.
Huh?
>> What is What does it mean when you guys say booster grooves?
>> Uh, organized. And then they usually have the bags lined when you go.
>> They usually mean the car full steps.
Oh, they just go back and like back and forth.
>> Yep. Dump, steal, melt, steal.
It's amazing.
That's why I say citizens.
You don't have a social, right? Do you have a social? No.
>> No.
>> Okay.
lifted home.
>> Officers found bags of shoes from stores like Adidas and Nike, leading them to suspect an organized booster crew was stealing and stashing items in the car.
>> Shoes.
>> All Nike or >> Yep.
the looks of it.
Oh lordy.
The group was charged with two counts of grand theft after police uncovered signs of an organized outlet mall theft and one man also faced an additional charge for possessing an anti-shoplifting device. Police were not the only ones watching closely. Viewers also noticed plenty of strange details. How did they not get searched before putting them in the car? The girl with the phone was warning their accompllices. You can tell when the girl was in the car. She is very well practiced and skilled at texting while handcuffed. They don't care. Will just be a minor inconvenience. They'll be right back to it. Group theft is never as simple as one item leaving a store. When suspects work together, use a car to hide merchandise, and keep going back for more, every move starts to look organized. And once police are watching, every step becomes evidence against them. Next, it seemed there was no way to deny it. But what happened next surprised everyone.
>> That I have.
>> Let's go. I paid for you to leave.
>> On May 9th, 2025, police responded to a call about a theft in progress at Walmart. Store security reported they had tracked the suspect on camera, confirming too the suspects placed items in a backpack without paying.
You going?
>> Yeah. I'm just waiting out of sight.
>> I'm going to go over there cuz I'm just >> cool.
Excuse me.
>> Yeah.
Protection. You have merchandise, please.
>> No, it's in your bag. Let's go. I >> Let's go.
>> We know where it is. We saw you do it.
>> The suspects casually walked past checkout with the items until officers approached and the mood shifted. They denied everything and claimed they had paid, but staff confirmation proved otherwise.
>> It's in your bag. Come on. We saw you do it. It's on camera.
>> No, it's too late now.
>> No, that's great. It's too late now.
>> Should have paid for it when you had the chance.
>> Okay, >> I paid for the receipts for everything.
>> No, let's go in here.
>> No, I have my receipt. Let's go in here.
>> No, I'm just saying you can look at >> That's awesome.
>> We're going to go in there for the stuff that you put in your bag.
>> No, look. I'm serious. There's >> Look, we're going to do this in here.
>> See, look. Everything is on this.
>> We're going to go in here.
>> This is everything on here.
>> We're going to go in here.
>> Why do I have to go?
>> Because I'm telling you, if >> that's not on there, obviously I paid for everything. You didn't pay for that.
>> I have.
>> Let's go.
>> I paid for you to leave.
>> When asked to return to the security office, both became uncooperative and resisted. One made a reckless decision that would soon become his biggest regret.
Hey. Hey. No. Stop. Hey, stop right now.
Put your hands behind your back.
>> No. I have my little brother in the car.
No. I have my little brother in the car.
No. No. I'm sorry. I go in here. I have my little brother. I'm going in here.
I'm just letting you know I have my little brother in the car.
>> I have my little brother in car. That's it. But I will go in here with you. I'm willing going.
>> You need to stop now. Are you willing to take >> I'm sorry. Yeah. Understand?
>> Put your hands behind your back now.
>> Okay. Hey, sir. Stop.
Hey, stop.
Hey, good.
HEY, >> I went to put my hands behind my back.
>> Get on the ground now. Get on the ground now. On the ground now.
>> Get all the way on the ground.
Do not move.
>> During the struggle, one suspect managed to flee, but the other wasn't so lucky.
The one who stayed was arrested on the spot while additional units were called in to search for the escapee.
>> 355.
>> I wanted to see. The second is GOA Westbound black male thin build 62 black tank top blue shorts or blue jeans.
Uh PC for obstruction and theft.
>> All right, go ahead and stand up for me.
Go again.
>> Let's go over here.
>> Hold on a second.
>> Yeah, I'm fine. All right, sit there. Do you have any weapons or anything on you?
>> No, sir.
>> All right. What's his name?
>> His name is Jam Brandon Tracy, sir. It's my husband.
>> I'm Benjamin a little bit of drink. Oh, sorry.
>> I don't know how where that stand, but I hope like I hope nothing like I have have a new one like I can't like we're more like pay for that. Like it's we're just trying to prep.
>> And look now instead he's going to have a warrant out for his arrest because he didn't stop. I told him he's not free to leave.
>> And I was I was just trying to get him to calm down. trying to see if he stopped too. Like if I could you like at least we calm down, it would have been more workable and reasonable and I understand like my my interference was probably not the best choice but I wasn't afraid to have anything further than it.
>> Let's just start with your name.
>> Do you have your ID on you?
>> I think he has he had it.
>> Is it in that wallet?
>> Uh wallet? I don't have a wallet, sir, but it's >> No, you have a wallet right there. Uh, it should be should be. If not, it's it's probably in my in my pockets and you're welcome to take a look.
>> Does he have warrants? Like why did he run?
>> No, he just he's we've never had really the greatest interactions with gentlemen before. But like it >> it's just just naturally like he just >> All right.
>> You just I don't know why exactly like >> Sorry. No, I'm going to read.
>> After being read his Miranda rights, the male suspect admitted placing an $8 item in his backpack. Officers identified the fleeing suspect and allowed him to make a call. But would they cooperate? And would police find the escape?
Stay tuned. Happen, right? We watched you guys the whole time. We saw you place this into his backpack. You went to the cashier selfch checkout. You did not pay for this, >> right?
See if he wants to come back.
>> Hey Jam, it's Officer Zean.
>> She might have to take it off on you.
>> Take it way too long. Scroll down from the top.
>> You mind if I call him back?
>> No, sir. I don't mind at all.
>> Hm.
>> I don't mind at all. That one.
>> Yep. Yes, sir.
>> It didn't go through. I don't think you got there's service in here for you.
>> Okay.
>> All right. I am going to release you with just a citation. Okay. Today, there's going to be a court date. Okay.
>> Okay.
>> The reason that I'm arresting you is because when I was trying to arrest him, >> you got in my way and were pushing me out of the way. That's obstruction. And I told you to stop or you will be arrested, right? And you kept doing it.
Yes, sir.
>> Okay. So, that's why you're under arrest right now. Yes, sir.
>> All right. I'm going to go write you a citation.
>> Yes, sir.
>> And I'm going to see if Jamon is who you say he is.
>> Yes, he is. He is. He is.
>> He's got a tattoo on his wrist areas. He's got I can tell you all the tattoos everything. All right.
All right, I'll be right back. It's >> jamming.
>> Yeah, let you talk to him. See if he comes back.
>> Say anything else and hang up.
>> Baby.
Hello.
Baby, >> it dropped again.
>> Do you know his phone number?
>> Uh, 2538.
>> Oh, sorry. 7695.
probably my kids.
>> Want to show the voicemail?
>> All right, we can just take him out to my car.
>> Just waiting for it to print and then we're good.
>> Cool. Did you ID the other guy?
>> Yeah, that was him.
>> Matches everything. Face.
>> Face and everything.
>> I looked at the picture. I don't even need a lineup because he told me who he is. I saw who he is.
>> Cool.
>> I was the one and I don't need >> Yeah, you saw his face. Yeah, cool.
>> All for like an $8 item.
>> Because he cooperated, the male suspect was released with a court summons.
Officers warned that failure to appear would result in arrest warrants for both.
>> All right, I'm going to release your right hand first. When I do, go ahead and put it on top of your head for me.
All right.
>> Did you hear them?
Right hand. Can you take a breath for a second?
>> All right, then. There you go. Same thing with this left hand.
>> All right, >> you can relax.
>> So, this is what's going on. You have a court date. It's on May 20th, which is Tuesday, at 8:30 in the morning. Okay.
You were cited for obstruction and theft because you were involved in placing the item in his in his uh backpack. Okay, there's that. If you miss the court date, you will have a warrant out for arrest. Okay. I will be sending uh sorry, I will be sending a citation to him at that address that you provided me. So, if he doesn't show or he doesn't show up, there will be a warrant out for his arrest. Okay?
I will try and call him and if he can just call PD and let them know that you disturbed something.
>> Okay. Thank you.
>> The male suspect was charged with theft and obstruction. The second suspect was identified for theft and fleeing the scene. If convicted, the first suspect could face up to 12 months in jail for theft, plus fines, probation, and restitution. The obstruction charge may bring additional penalties. The second suspect, if caught and convicted, could face similar penalties with the act of fleeing potentially considered an aggravating factor or leading to a warrant if they failed to appear. Let's take a look at how people reacted once the video ended. This is the kind of scum that steals your catalytic converter. Bro left his husband. Not even gay couples are loyal. Matthew and Nathaniel had a big date night planned.
Even a few dollar item can lead to serious legal trouble if handled poorly.
In a world full of cameras, staying calm, cooperating, and following the law is the only way to keep a small mistake from becoming a major problem. Next, a repeat offender drags his own family into trouble using his father's golf cart as a getaway. But this time, nothing goes as planned.
>> I got a lot of trouble up north. You know what I mean? I went to prison.
>> Yeah.
>> You're supposed to have a female deputy here. That is against the law. I know my rights. I know my constitution. On April 14th, 2024th, deputies responded to a Walmart theft where a woman pushed a full unpaid cart out. When confronted, she and three accompllices fled the parking lot in a golf cart, prompting an immediate search.
>> I'm playing in here. Um, if you go just south of Walmart, there's a Walmart and there's an Aldi. And I believe halfway through the Aldi, it turns into Sunker.
>> Oh, okay. Um, and then if you go south another about half mile, it then turns into uh Lake County.
>> Right. Right.
>> So, >> well, it's just weird because where I'm from, I'm from Vermont, way up north.
So, uh, they have like one like the counties in there, they don't all the counties in the whole state.
>> Mhm.
>> Like half of what it would be here. You know what I mean? There's counties >> here. We got gigantic gigantic counties.
>> All right.
>> Um, sorry, my friend blowing up my phone.
Where where in Vermont you from?
>> Uh Barry, Vermont. Yep.
>> Where is that near?
>> Uh >> when did you move down here?
>> I've been down here for seven years.
>> Seven years. What made you move down here?
>> Well, I mean I got a lot of trouble up north. You know what I mean? I went to prison.
>> Yeah. I'm real big into snowboarding.
You guys have a resort up there called >> Smuggler's Notch.
>> No.
>> Okimo. No.
>> Uh Sugar Bush. They have those big tubes. They're like guns like this >> and they have a tube hose coming from the bottom.
>> Yeah. It's like confetti cannon but it's a Exactly. Exactly. They have a north and a south. So, it's two different mountains. It's one mountain, but it's split in half. They have a alpine slide.
>> Yeah. Where it's like a big cement uh trail that goes down and you sit in these little carts and you get like a handle in the front and you sit in it and then you ride it all the way down.
>> Okay.
>> So, >> I just called my mom two days ago and she said it was like 40° up there, 30°.
I don't want to be up there, man. Not if I can help it. You like cold weather?
>> I love cold weather. Cold enough to make me make me shiver in my jeans. I guess >> it's a different kind of cold down here.
>> It is. It is. It's It feels like you get wet, but uh Yeah. Guess you get a pickup truck and put a little pile on the side of it.
>> If any but you get a truck, you can just go by the plow and hook it on the phone.
>> Officers located the group near a residential pool and stalled the driver while waiting for camera confirmation.
As they moved to check the woman, things seemed smooth until her sudden move escalated the situation.
>> Yeah.
>> What's going on with the with the golf cart?
>> Nothing.
>> It's not broken or anything?
>> No, it's my dad. Is this your girlfriend here?
>> Just a friend.
>> Oh, just a friend.
>> How are you doing?
>> I'm good, bud.
>> Good. What's your name?
>> Natalie.
>> Okay, Natalie. Well, here's what's going to happen. I'm going to go and detain you >> for what?
>> Cuz we have we Hold on.
>> No, don't put your hands on me, sir.
You're male. Do what he said. Okay.
>> No, just you're going to end up on the ground. Okay.
>> No, no. You're literally grabbing me.
I'm a female. That is against the law.
>> It's not against She's being detained.
You're arresting.
>> No, she's being detained.
>> For what?
>> Okay.
>> Because we're investigating. We're investigating something that happened a little more. You're gonna You're gonna end up at the ground.
>> No, you're not.
>> You're gonna end up on the ground.
>> Yeah. And I'm I'm gonna sue you.
>> Wait. Okay.
>> So, please get your hands off me.
>> Are you going to put your hands behind the back?
>> I'm just detaining you.
>> Are you going to put your hands behind the back or you going to go on the ground?
>> I just said I had to go to the bathroom.
And then you want to detain me. That way I can fight you. Literally, this is on purpose.
>> You're not going to fight me.
>> This is on purpose.
>> You're going to go on the ground or you put your hands behind your back.
>> This is being done on purpose.
>> You are being detained.
>> And this is on video, correct?
>> Correct. Or is it not on?
>> See that red? Okay. Thank you.
>> That means it's on. Or you can put your hands behind your back. Name is >> Deputy Gillard. 6671. Mar County Sheriff.
>> And your ID number is >> 6671. Very good.
>> No. Your actual ID number?
>> 667.
>> You have to put her in cuffs to detain her?
>> No, he does not. I'm putting her. He's not supposed to put his hands on me.
>> Okay.
>> Where's your supervisor? Can you get him here?
>> Literally, I don't I'm trying >> now. Please let me go. You have your hands on me. Let me go.
>> You're going to put your hands behind your back or you're going to go on the ground. I don't want to put you on the ground.
>> You're not going to put me on the ground, >> bro. Come on, bro. She's not She not even in cuffs. I need you to step back.
>> All right. Despite repeated warnings, she kept resisting and arguing, refusing to comply, forcing officers to quickly restrain her to keep the situation under control and continue the investigation.
>> I am tense.
>> Okay, go ahead and put your hands behind your back. Go ahead and put your hands behind your back.
>> Be easy on her, please.
>> I'm trying to, but she's not being easy on me.
>> No, you're literally not supposed to touch.
>> They're on their way.
>> You are not supposed >> Put your hands behind your back.
>> You're not supposed to touch. 66 102 suspect. She's resisting. Call >> your supervisor, please.
Put your hands behind your back right now. Sir. Right now.
>> I'm not resisting you. You are not supposed to put your hands on me.

>> Stop. Be on it. This is literally put on purpose.

Why don't you ask >> Why don't you ask the man about the other lady? Okay.
>> She didn't leave with none of that [ __ ] at all.
>> Hold it in her hand.
>> I told you several times to put your hands behind your back, >> sir. And you grabbed me and legally you're not supposed to. I'm a female and you're a male. You're supposed to have a female deputy here. That is against the law. I know my rights. I know my constitution. Thank you. I'm noted.
>> Literally, this is on purpose. And you know who the it is?
It's >> blame you.

>> You tell him to relax while he's coming in here like >> No, he's going to get sued.
>> Chill out. Chill out.

>> All right, sit up for me.
>> Ready?
>> We're going to add resisting.
>> Officers calmed and restrained her, then moved her to the patrol car. She kept denying, but it didn't matter. The others were separated giving conflicting stories and blaming Tamara.
>> That is the law.
>> I what?
>> I just It was Tamar. If y'all are arresting me over a false ass charge, I swear to God you can record.
>> This is set up by a whole ass police officer.
>> Is she being arrested? subject >> and now they're taking [ __ ] off so they can give it to >> that's nobody's talking about you right now.

>> I definitely did when you asked me. Like you said it's on camera. Correct.
>> Yeah. No >> 6601 or something like that. No. 66.

>> Have a seat.
>> What are you arresting meat? What are you putting in the back of the car?
>> I have a seat and we can talk.
>> Let him be in the back carat.
>> I'll bail you out.
>> That's not the point. No, you won't.
Don't make sure that you can't.
>> I have a seat >> like they did you have a seat. I want Why am I getting the tank? Sir, they're hurting me.
>> Slide your feet in.
>> We also gave you lawful orders to get in the car.
>> Lawful orders of what?
>> What's your name and badge number, man?
>> Deputy Get in 6691.
>> I get the other ones, too. That's >> what's your uh Gillian. What's your badge number?

>> You ready to write to me in silent?
Anything you say can and will be used against the car.

>> And I ain't got nothing to hide or why I am.
>> Are you going to be the one that's coming to Bonn?

>> Uh, she needs bail.
>> She's going to need bail.
>> Uh, how much?
>> How much did she steal?
>> Not too long ago, >> Dad. I'm not.
>> She stole more than 750. It's going to be a lot. No, I don't think she steal anything cuz that lady in there tomorrow was it has blonde hair and she didn't even make it out the door. She didn't even leave the door. They were trying to pin her in that room they got in there and I told them not to do that. You're not allowed to do that. They try. If they're going to say, "Hey, go in this room. You go in there." That's your own fault.
>> Who is he to you guys? Just a friend.
>> Yeah, he's just he's all right. He's chill.
>> Okay. Who is the older lady you guys are with over here talking?
>> You can keep recording. I don't care.
>> In fact, you can even set up a phone to record while you talk to me if you want.
>> I just I'm not I'm just doing it for >> Yeah, it's all Yep.
>> It's all your right. Oh, the older lady I That was tomorrow, I think.
>> Well, I'm going to show you a picture.
Okay.
>> I mean, you should have this on camera.
She didn't even leave the building with nothing.
>> You're saying this is tomorrow >> cuz it looks just like her.
>> Wow.
>> Yeah. All right.
>> I get you trying. I get you trying to >> kiss her. Well, didn't you guys all leave together on the same go-kart?
Where did you drop her off at?
>> She jumped out up there by Murphy's.
>> Up there by Murphy's >> gas station. Yeah.
>> Does she walk or does she have a car?
>> Uh, she got a ride from >> I don't know who it was. She called her husband or whatever. So, did you guys all meet up with the intention of of them two going in and taking some stuff?
>> I don't know nothing. I'm not >> set up for this.
>> I'm not into that.
>> Do you know tomorrow's last name?
>> No clue.
>> No clue.
>> No clue. I was just giving them a ride.
I just could eye only been out for a week.
>> 145th Street.
>> That I'd rather not say.
>> Okay. I mean, you don't have to. You don't have to. It's public record, but but you don't have to.
>> You know, I've been done 20 years in prison. I >> He's stupid. She don't know any better.
>> Yeah. Well, was she stealing a necessity?
>> Was she just taking it cuz cuz she needed it or was she just >> She didn't take anything. She didn't take anything out of that store. She didn't leave the store with nothing.
>> When she came out, she didn't have nothing. They stopped her at the door and they tried to uh >> So, that that stuff that he took out of her cart. She paid for that.
>> I have no clue. She might have. I wasn't with her. You should know by video.
>> Yeah. Did you even go in the store?
>> Uh >> or you just pull it? You were just waiting for them to come and get out?
>> Listen, I mean, if you needed more information, you're fine. You're fine.
You're fine. You >> pass.
>> I know. because I wanted to see if he was still outside.
>> What was in your cart?
>> My cart there was a pair of boots. There was um blue, white, and I want to say like a tie-dye underwear. Two packs of them.
>> And that's not merchandise.
>> That I did not walk out with merchandise. Did not walk out the store with merchandise at all.
>> You just had it in your cart and then when he stopped you, you remembered that you hadn't paid for it.
>> No, I was going to pay for it. I had the money in my hand.
>> You were just checking where they were at?
>> Yes. All I did not exit the store.
Nothing like that. Now the other woman, she did as the man said.
>> Hey, what's the other woman? The one I just showed you a picture of.
>> There's another woman.
>> There's another woman. What she look like?
>> She's blonde also.
>> Blonde?
>> Is that Tamara?
>> I guess so. Yes.
>> What's Tamara's last name? You don't know it?
>> She's on camera.
>> What was she wearing? Scared my guy. Go check on that.
>> I didn't even know she was there. I heard her voice, but I didn't know if she was there. That's what the man told me.
>> Okay. All right. Who wants Can you step back for me? You're really too close.
Hey. Hey. I got like 10 ft.
>> You're You're good to record. Nobody's telling you you can't record.
>> And you've been super cool with us, so you know, we're not trying to be rough with you. I know you.
>> I'm sure you do.
>> What's your name?
>> Okay, he's got it.
>> I got it. Hold on. Let's see if you remember.
>> You look super familiar.
>> Ryanlair.Llair.
>> Yeah, it would be the first time we had interactions, I'm sure.
>> In the end, officers verified identities and gathered evidence from the scene and surveillance to build the case.
>> Are you here for us?
>> No, I'm just >> Oh, just security guard.
>> Yeah, I just >> Okay. One of them stole from Walmart, too.
>> Oh, one of them.
>> Yeah, I guess they wanted to go.
>> Can I see the female? Because I think this is the same female that been sitting in our um in our pool at night when she's supposed to. Yeah, that's right.
>> Hold on. Hey, Giddens. Hold on. Yes, sir.
>> Can I get her last name?
>> Can you get her last name?
>> Yeah.
>> If she'll give it to us. Stand right there.
>> Martin. Martin.
>> Uh Natalie Martin.
>> Natalie Martin.
>> Natalie Martin.
>> Why is that?
>> Martin.
>> Martin.
>> Oh, just so you can come get her.
>> Yeah. What's her first name?
>> Natalie.
>> Natalie Martin.
>> Yeah.
>> M A R T I N.
>> I'm sure you know what happened. thing.
I imagine you're probably dead, but >> I just got a ride from Walmart.
>> I'm not investigating you. You don't got to give me the PR response. You're all good, man. Do you need anything from us?
>> Yeah, I don't know who these guys are. I need to know if they're from here. They do. Do they live here? Do they have um ID showing that they live here?
>> They say they say they got family lives here. Um they're not under an investigation from us, so I can't >> I need to ID. I need to see the ID cuz if they're in here, they're supposed to be escorted with somebody that has an ID for this residence.
>> Well, they they got in. They came I don't know, but they did. Apparently, they took the golf cart only access way from the uh behind the Walmart. Do >> you guys have a ID of the resident that you're staying with?
>> That's my dad who doesn't come fairways.
>> You're death.
>> Y >> I got to bring the golf cart back.
>> I know, but you can't be without your ID in here. You know that, right?
>> You have to have your residential ID in order to be driving around the ID. you scanned in with to get through that gate. Yeah.
>> He's saying you have to have it. I'm sure you have it.
>> That's what he's saying.
>> My dad. I live here. I live with my dad.
>> Your father.
>> Oh my god.
>> You can't you know you can't be all right.
>> You can't enforce any of this name. By the way, this is all neighborhood stuff.
>> Why are you guys trying to make I didn't cooperate. I'm trying to make I'm going home. That's all I do is driving home.
>> We're here. We're here to keep the peace. This is this is him in security.
Okay.
>> Are you supervisor security? Oh, I didn't know that.
>> You have to know that. I don't know about this before.
>> I've never been telling me that. He just had to use the golf cart. That's it.
>> Yeah. Your dad knows that you have to have ID in order to be with his golf.
>> You remember me?
>> Oh, yeah.
>> Okay. So, >> he's just trying to enforce the neighborhood laws. Okay. So, all he's saying is that to be around in the neighborhood, you have to have your ID.
>> I know you don't have an ID, >> but you know, I just got out, too.
>> I do know that. And that's why that's why this is just being a little bit of an issue. It's not a huge issue. That's why he's asking you to call your father so that he can verify that you live here.
>> Oh, yeah. No problem. I just I don't have >> I know. He's not trying to get you in trouble.
>> No.
>> No. That That's where we're at. Okay.
>> Okay.
>> No, not coming up. I got a finger. You ever been arrested, honey?
>> What' you say?
>> You have a Florida driver's license?
>> Have you ever been arrested?
>> No, sir.
>> Do you have a Florida driver's license?
>> I have an ID.
>> Okay. And is he spelling your name right? M A R T I N.
>> Mhm.
>> You want me a pair of cuffs, sir?
You gave me the rustiest cups that you own. They're horrible.
>> I fix them. Sometimes you just got to like bend them by the frame.
Let me buy some WD40. I was just shooting the shooting the crap with him while I was trying to get a picture from you. We were talking about like snowboarding and all this stuff cuz he officed up.
>> Yeah.
>> And then he wouldn't stand up when I told him to. I pretty much had to drag him out.
>> The suspect was charged with felony retail theft after being identified leaving Walmart with a shopping cart full of unpaid merchandise. She also faces charges for resisting an officer due to her repeated refusal to comply with lawful commands during detention.
Once the tension faded, the comments became a space where irony and humor filled in the silence. Where did all these female suspects get the idea that a male cop can't touch them or detain them? Ridiculous. They always know their rights. This girl is what happens when you have a propaganda addiction. When greed or impulse takes over, it's easy to think you can get away, but surveillance and coordination leave little unseen. What matters most is your reaction. Denial and resistance only escalate things. In the end, the real cost isn't the item, it's your freedom and future. Next is an even more blatant case. A Walmart shoplifter caught red-handed, believing they could outsmart the system until the truth is exposed in seconds. cuz you're going to be placed under arrest for it's a felony. I explained it to you a minute ago.
>> Oh my god. You know, >> on June 20th, 2026, police responded to loss prevention after staff found mismatched pricing of expensive boots labeled cheaper. It suggested a skilled repeat offender.
>> Good afternoon.
>> We haven't gotten everything just yet.
Oh, >> but if you look like just on those boots alone, those boots are $56, but it's got a tag on it for >> and I'm just going on >> 366 cheese.
>> How much?
>> 366.
Yep, there's one. Have you been arrested for any kind of retail theft or anything in the past?
>> Okay. All right.
Honda shop >> and was going with what was on it.
>> I had a girl at the at the register >> Monroe County, Florida. Theft and forgery.
>> That was 10 years ago.
>> Okay. These these are these are for life though.
>> So once you >> over 10 years ago and then >> Yeah. But once you have one for for the rest of your life if you get one that makes it automatically a felony. If you take a stick of gum it becomes a felony.
Oh yeah.
>> And see and the thing is is that >> I purchased what I thought the tax were.
>> So do I get reimbursed for whatever >> the tax?
>> I don't know how they do that. I'm sure they'll figure out what's actually yours and what's not. Well, >> that's that's actually probably the least of your problems.
>> Heart checks showed multiple items with swapped tags and some not scanned at all. Yet, she brushed it off, acting like she'd done nothing wrong.
>> So, I can keep what I purchased, but I don't get anything back from what I train.
>> That would be amazing if you bring me a training receipt. That way, there's no guess work to it.
>> Here, I'll hold that.
Um, >> do you have a local address or are you still in Florida?
>> Um, I go back and forth.
>> Um, yeah, >> I'm just retired.
>> So, I've been going back and forth.
>> The jacket, the boy jacket. I think >> Yeah, these right here. She's got everything that wasn't.
>> Will that fit in a bag?
I I didn't put it in a bag because they were so bulky.
>> I don't want a bag.
>> That's fine.
>> Well, >> we're waiting for her to come back with the training receipt so that he knows how much the amount was that wasn't paid for.
>> Okay. So, do I get a difference for what was scanned? I mean, we'll tell you whenever. Yeah, we'll tell you >> what. Y'all owe me for what was stamped because everything was stamped. So, there was a price paid.
>> So, how many items had these tickets, these stickers on them?
>> There's quite a few of them.
>> Like I >> I don't know what the prices were for each one, >> but normally we wouldn't differentiate the difference.
>> That's okay.
>> We would just I mean because you >> I'm just going with what was on the items. So I don't know.
>> And usually whenever tags are wrapped around things like that, we don't think that the check out was honest like it was supposed to be. We get a lot of people taking tags and sticking them to things. I understand that >> comp a little bit more complex.
>> I mean, if I get the difference, I don't know what the difference adds up to, but if not, it's okay, too.
>> I'll have to see what he wants to do. A guy that just likes the boss.
>> It doesn't I'm okay with it either.
Normally we don't uh make up the difference.
>> Normally not.
>> No.
>> Okay. And then >> they first thought it was minor, but the total far exceeded what was paid. A record check showed prior theft, escalating the case.
>> You got a ballpark figure?
>> No. No, sir. I'm sorry, but >> I mean it. Yeah.
>> I rang everything up. I don't like as far as the tags, the store is crazy with clearance. Like I said, uh usually when the tags, like I said, are wrapped around like that or like not supposed to be there, >> we usually think that's what's >> I mean, I can see where you would assume that.
>> I would get a lot of it. We get a lot of it.
>> Do you really?
>> Yeah. A lot.
>> Oh, yes. Yes.
>> It's ticket switching at its finest. So, >> tag swap, ticket switching, under ringing. There's all different kinds of little >> things that >> Well, I'll be going through a regular live person.
>> It's the best thing to do.
>> Even though I had a little help with the liquor and, you know, putting everything down there, but yeah, I go back and forth from the keys up here.
>> Okay.
>> All right. So, $198 is going to total up to be off of it. That's what the the theft and also the uh stuff that wasn't.
And then this is what she actually you scanned and paid for. Was that >> 31? So 3160 bucks.
>> Yeah. At least still 160 bucks.
>> Okay. All right.
>> Do I get a difference for it or >> It's 31. No, it's actually $31 is is is all that you paid for, but it was 200 after taxes is 215, but we don't do taxes usually on that. So it was $198 of merchandise that was either stolen or ticket switched. So it was a different price.
Wow.
>> Wow. Well, I'll be going through a live person from now on. I'm not doing selfch checkckout anymore. That's crazy. Even though I had a little bit of help, you know, with her with the big items.
>> She acted shocked at the arrest, but her innocent act meant nothing. Officers explained that paying later doesn't matter. The crime was complete once she left the store.
>> Yeah. Do you have somebody's going to be able to come and get your uh stuff?
What? Me?
>> Yeah. Come get my Come get this stuff.
>> Yeah, come to come and get your stuff.
>> I'm I'm outside. I'm parked outside.
>> I know, but you're going to go with me cuz you're going to be placed under arrest for it's a felony. I explained it to you a minute ago.
>> Oh my god. No, please.
>> No. I mean, they don't they don't have any leeway on it. I mean, that's their policy.
>> Yeah.
>> No, I didn't.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. I mean, that's >> No, please.
>> That's quite a bit.
>> What?
>> Yeah. The the Okay, so the dollar the dollar amount >> the difference.
>> Yeah. Yeah, but we're way past that. The dollar amount part of it isn't the issue because if it was $300, it would be a felony in of itself. But I if you if you were to go in here and pick up a package of gum and walk out with it, that's a felony.
>> Be happy to pay whatever all the amount is.
>> We're way past that. I mean, that's >> how can we be past that?
>> We're we're past that. I didn't like I was only bringing up what was >> Okay. If you had one item, if you had one item that maybe had a a funky tag on you, scan it as an oops. I will >> How many we got all together? What's the list there? We got like there's at least 12 items that were actually and then about half of those were actually probably what four or five of them were actually just flat out stolen. It was just not even scanned.
>> Not Yeah. bypassing bypass the scan.
>> Yes, ma'am. I had so much stuff in my buggy.
>> I can pay for everything and not keep it.
>> Once you walked out that door, it's now a crime.
We we've got to follow our policies cuz if I don't follow the policies on you, then I then I can't follow it on anybody else. So, it's an enforcement.
>> She finally realized the severity of panicking and begging to pay and avoid arrest, but store policy and the law didn't allow it. It was too late >> about it. It's >> so It was not my intention. I swear it wasn't.
>> You trespass me. Please just trespass me.
>> Well, we're we're actually not trespassing you because this is the only time that we've got you in our system.
>> I know. I haven't done anything, >> but you know, as far as it's it's too late for that. It's Yeah, it's already too late. You've already walked out the door. You've already committed the crime. God, >> there's no way you could.
>> No. No.
>> Oh my god. Really? What is going to happen? I mean, >> what's I'm sorry. What was >> I don't know what's going to happen.
>> Okay. So, we will take you up to the sheriff's department. They will process you in uh you will have a detention hearing on Monday at which time they'll probably re release you on your own recgnissance >> on Monday.
>> Spending the weekend in jail.
>> Yes. Yes. Yeah. There's uh the court was today at 1:00. So, we've already missed court for the day.
>> Let me out on my own.
>> They will Monday. I'm I'm almost sure of it because you only have one prior conviction.
>> What? Oh my god. You don't think they're going to let me out? I can't.
>> They will. Monday. They'll let you out Monday. Bond.
>> No, there's there is Illinois doesn't have any bond anymore. It's a uh Yeah, it's a bailree state.
>> Let me out on my own.
>> No, they will. Monday. They will.
Generally speaking, >> I will pay for anything that needs to be done.
>> I mean, we're past that. Um, >> oh my god, please.
>> Oh my god, no. Please let me Can I just I will pay for all of it.
>> Okay, that's that's like buying insurance after you have a wreck. It doesn't I mean, it doesn't count. You You've already We've already gotten to this point with it. If it was one item, I'd be like, "Okay, it's an oops, but you got 12 items. It seems too blatant."
So, >> no, it it was not.
>> Okay. I'm not I'm not the court. I'm just like, I come and take her.
>> Trespass me. I'll pay all of the difference.
We we that's not the way our policies work and I can't do that >> please from 21.
>> Yes, I have my boyfriend out there and I can't get out till Monday.
>> No, they they don't have any hearings.
>> I can't get out on my own like >> they they will that's what they do on Monday.
>> Oh god. Oh my god.
>> 11 from 12.
>> Please.
>> Oh my god.
>> You available for transport.
>> Oh god. Please help.
I will never come back into the store.
I'll pay anything the amount.
>> It's just It doesn't work like that. I'm sorry. It's not set up to work that way.
It's just not.
>> Oh my god.
There's nothing I can do to help pay any of it.
>> It's It's It's already past that. It It's If it were to happen, >> my friend, he's out in the car.
>> Yeah. Give him a call. He can come and >> he can come and uh grab your >> I have to go to the bathroom, too. You can walk in there with me.
>> Well, I can't walk in there with you.
Maybe uh maybe >> I'll go.
>> She can walk in there with you. I'll just >> With patients exhausted, officers arrested her on current charges with prior history, escorted her to the patrol car and prepared her for court.
>> Oh my god.
>> Oh, you need to leave that here.
>> Okay.
>> Yeah. She'll go in the bathroom with you.
We're just going to go right to the front bathroom.
>> I'll just stand outside.
>> My girlfriend's in here.
>> Yeah, she's in the bathroom. She'll be out in just a second.
>> Lady from Florida.
>> Yeah.
>> Okay. Yeah.
>> They're not arresting her, are they?
>> Yeah.
>> She didn't change any tags.
>> You know, if it was if it was one tag, I'd be like, "Yeah, probably not. It was an oops." But there's 12 of them. That's That's a little bit more.
>> She's going to jail.
>> Yeah. Yeah.
>> And she won't get out till Monday.
>> Correct. Yeah. Um, it's because of her previous history. She had a a previous theft charge, so that's what made it a felony.
>> Oh boy.
>> Yeah. So, she's got a cart full of stuff that's paid for in her purse and everything. So, uh, >> it's it's in the AP office. We'll get it out here for you here in just a second.
We'll bring her out and let you have the cart.
There's $22 that I need you to cut.
>> Oh, okay. Well, that's wasted.
>> Can you get my stuff?
>> Yeah, we're going to turn it over to him.
>> You're turning me over to him?
>> No, we're going to turn your your cart and your your purse and your >> change. I know you hear Shauna.
>> I'm on the phone with her. Take my phone. All right, we need to move on. I got your ride out here waiting. So, >> there's nobody to talk to to vouch for you. I mean, >> yeah, the the judge doesn't come in until Monday.
>> What?
>> Okay, >> let's go. We got We got to get going.
>> Okay.
>> Yep. Your purse is in there and all the stuff. He's going to they're going to release it to him right now. No judges until Monday are go back here to the white car.
>> Oh my god.
And nobody can like vouch for me.
>> Well, they can Monday. I mean, if they try if they attempt to detain you, but I don't think they're going to >> I have medicine that I have to take.
>> Oh my god. Really? I have medicine that I have to take.
>> Okay. Well, he can bring it up there if you like. Come on.
>> I can't see without my reading glasses.
>> Okay. Well, he can he can bring those to you. So, >> I don't have my phone.
>> Okay. He can bring all this stuff to you.
>> I don't live in Harrisburg.
>> Okay.
>> I live in Carmine.
>> Okay.
>> I live in handc.
>> I don't.
>> There's judges in Carmine.
>> Yeah, we're not in Carmine. The Carmine is in White County. It's a different judicial circuit.
>> All right. I'll have a PC down shortly.
one count of retail theft under with an enhanced sentence.
>> Yep. All righty. Thank you, sir.
>> The suspect was charged with felony retail theft after switching price tags on multiple items and bypassing proper checkout procedures due to a prior theft conviction. The charge was elevated, making even lower value thefts subject to felony prosecution. Some of these replies deserve their own spotlight.
Pure savage energy. I can't imagine how many times she's done this and got away with it. Her cringy fake breathless pearl clutching is nauseating. Steals, but worries about if she will get her money back. Modern surveillance and experienced staff know these tricks well. What seems minor can become a serious charge, especially with a prior record. And a few dishonest minutes can lead to years of legal consequences.
