Successful investing in collectibles requires patience and long-term holding rather than quick flipping, as short-term gains are unreliable and most people fail to achieve sustainable wealth by focusing on the wrong items or timing the market incorrectly; the key is to buy when others are unhappy, focus on older products with no new releases, and avoid the herd mentality of chasing the newest releases.

Worlds Largest - $17 Million in Pokemon Scarlet VioletAñadido:
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back. My name is Rudy. You're watching Alpha Investments. Today we have a very special video. Ladies and gentlemen, around the world. Pluto is still a planet. Your mom is still sweet. She makes me breakfast every day, especially this morning. I promised her I would do this video reveal. Today we reveal the world's largest known supply of Pokemon sealed Scarlet and Violet product left and known to exist. You're going to see today the first ever of this location being revealed. And today we're going to discuss the Timmy mentality, the herd mentality, what's happening in the world. And well, why people tend to not do well, why people kind of follow the wrong thing, and why the average person always loses and is wrong. So, as we prepare today to have a good long conversation today, we're going to discuss the mindset, what's going on, and we reveal the largest scarlet violet position as I promised I would reveal to you all. The conversation today is going to be up here. Please do not look down here.
That's inappropriate. If I have to come down to your level, I'm here. Today is a very SPECIAL DAY. VLAD, we need the We need the chair. Today, we are going to discuss the mindset of investing and collecting on a whole different level.
The focus and years it took to do this.
Vlad rich guy chair closer. This is we're going to discuss the long journey it took to build today's positions to get us. Thank you, princess. that we're going to discuss the mindset it takes, the tremendous amount of capital, just the difficulties, the ability to do things when they don't feel good, and the ability to stay the course and buy the things.
In order to do this stuff, you have to really be buying when you don't want to, when you're uncomfortable. You have to make the decisions and do the things that you don't want to because right now with magic and Pokemon, whatever the hottest thing is, it's a crowded trade.
Everybody goes for it. Everybody wants the same thing.
Nobody focuses on everything else.
Today, as we look at Scarlet and Violet, it's been a little while. It's been a little while, everybody.
And how on earth is everybody so excited about spending all their money on ME1, ME2, ME2 and a half, Ascended Barney, $200 ETBs, ME3, ME2, which everybody said was Charizard or Bust. Nobody wanted it. And everybody said you shouldn't buy ME2.
It's only got one good card and there's nothing else good in the product. And that's I I don't what. And now we have ME2 $500 booster boxes, everybody. There there's I mean why what's what's the point?
What's the point of doing that? You I mean you have to have Why are you buying a brand new item that's going to have a longer print cycle when there are so many previous items available that are under 500 a box? And I know it's easy just to go online, you know, hey, Rudy, I went to my local Only Fans. I went to my local Featfinder. I went to my local Walmart. I can't find ME4. And I'm sure it's because you have it all. And you're probably right. But it's not my fault.
If your stepsister contacts me whenever there's a restock in a drop and I don't have to use a scalper scanner 6000, am I supposed to be upset? She's sweet. She makes good breakfast in the morning.
It's been a long night. And that's people have to have an enemy. You got to have a bad guy. You got to be upset over something. You got to blame somebody.
You got to point the finger at somebody.
Something has to be the reason things are the way they are. Even though 90% of the product you see that's been sitting here and sitting here and rotting is because it was unsellable product. Not because it was a great investment. Not because, oh, I had to go around the country and wipe out all of the Walmarts. I had to make sure that all the game stops. No. No. You have to. You can't do the same thing everybody else is doing. You can't focus in life on the thing that everybody is focusing on because essentially you're not first to market. You're not you're not even second or third. You're at the end. It's like buying a stock that's already skyrocketed. When the stock is I mean it's already up three, four, five, 600%.
Sure, you can still make money, but the risk parameters are different. When you buy something that's already up 500%.
Sure, you can still make money. You can flip it in a year, 6 months, you can buy it, make 10%. That's it happens on Wall Street. It happens in collectibles. It happens in real estate. House flippers do it all the time. People do it all the time with Bitcoin. They'll buy it at 65,000, it pops to 67,000, they sell it, they make 5%, and they run. You can do that with anything. And you can flip and make money, but there is no substitute for the longterm growth and wealth, just the the appreciation, the actual wealth creation of longterm.
And again, you have to determine what your personal goals are. If you're a business, you've got 25 employees, you've got 69 managers, you've got seven ex-wives that you have to give checks to because you got 69 kids. If you need that kind of cash flow and that kind of help going on, you you can't afford to wait. You have to turn and burn inventory. You're not an investor.
You're not an evil collector. You're running a business. And there's nothing wrong with that. But most of you watching this channel, watching these videos, that's not the case. 99% of the people watching this channel are new to the industry within the last 12 24 months. Most of the people watching this channel are not large business owners.
Most of you are younger people. You have the spirit of wanting to be an entrepreneur. You like Pokemon because it makes you happy versus a stock that goes up and down or the S&P that moves too slow. It can only make 5 10% a year and oh, I got a negative year. Oh, you know, that's not exciting. It's not sexy anymore. We are in an era with gambling and prediction markets where people need that quick dopamine hit. People want a quick rush. They want that hit. They want that feelgood caffeine shot right into the left eyeball. That's just what it is. And we don't Pokemon, you can make money. Collectibles, it's been this way for a very long time now. Usually it takes a lot longer. And now people have forgotten that. Remember, if Pokemon goes up like 1% a month, that's considered a huge win. There are people out there that will buy something and in six months the price stays the same and they're going, "What am I doing with my life? If I sell it after fees and shipping now I lost 10 15%. In 6 months I did this work. I bought these items and now I lost some money. What's the point of doing this?" And that's a very surface level way to look at this kind of stuff. But that's not the the healthy way to look at it. And this is something that a lot of people now is are going through with Magic. Magic has been just it's been a very Magic's been more unpredictable because nobody expected it. Pokemon always comes back does real well, ages better, but when Magic went so long with nothing doing well, and then suddenly all the items that the internet would just want to mock and make fun of just started going insane.
Well, nobody was really holding it.
there's no one nobody was around to kind of be like, "Oh, look. It went up some.
Let me list my product." If you don't have a bunch of people doing that, you can't when something pops up, it's difficult to make it retrace back down because there's just the supply isn't there. You have to have a lot of people with supply or there's no real way to kind of have that retracement. Now, we see that with certain things. We've seen it when like Paradox Rift a couple months back, somebody bought it out and it went from 250 to 350. Then a lot of people listed the boxes, they went back down to 275, but now it's back over 300.
So you'll see every time there's a leg up, you'll see people trying to lock it in or capture it and they want to get out real quick. But that's and it does work. And if you do need that cash flow, if you need that money or it's it's earmarked for another release or another event or another part of your life and you know you you need to take profit and move on. But that's not you see when every see that's one of the things that makes it really confusing online because everybody online is kind of yelling at each other about what to do, what to buy, when to buy, which set should I do, Rudy, should I buy? But people don't understand every set is completely different and every person's situation is different. You cannot give blanket advice to the guy who has one box in a one-bedroom apartment compared to the guy who's got pallets or the guy who's running a huge Pokemon business or maybe the guy who has four LGs's or maybe the guy who has one huge local card store focusing on, I don't know, Magic or One Piece and suddenly, you know, they get Pokemon and they don't care. Maybe they need to flip or maybe they've got 25 employees and their payroll alone is 20 $30,000 a month and they have to they they need the cash flow. They know the Pokemon items go up in price. They know that. But just because they know it goes up doesn't mean that they can kind of say, "Hey, I I really don't want to sell this today. I know it's going to be worth more in the future, but if I get that money today, I can turn it over three more times by the end of the year.
And if I make $10 on the same turn or the same churn, if you churn it three times and make 10 bucks a pop, you're making $30 $40. The numbers can still kind of be generated in for people who need the cash flow. That is what businesses do. So again, when you watch YouTuber, they're telling you to invest in something. Okay, well that may be great advice for a segment of the market. Then you go on social media and you're going on only fans and you hit Ashley Madison and you hit back page and suddenly you get a message saying, "No, no, Rudy, keep one case and flip everything else. Take that money and then move it to the next thing and you can accelerate the growth even quicker."
Okay. Well, for a couple people that may work. Okay. Well, the guy who has a ton of bills and a bunch of credit card debt and he's not in that kind of situation yet. He's not there. He needs a couple more years to build that foundation.
That person can't do any of that. They have to if they get a box of Ascended Heroes and they paidund I don't know if they were a patron they paid 125 for Ascended Heroes ETB for me or whatever it was and now they sell it for 180 or 190. I mean if even if they pay shipping and fees or they sell locally at a convention if they still make 30% if you go 125 130 to 180 190 so you net 170. I mean, if you're making a 30% gain in 30, 60, 90 days, like, there's like, how can you not be happy with that? Like, how can you ridicule somebody who's locking in 30% profit margins? Do you see what I'm saying? Like, there's nothing. You can't say that person's doing the wrong thing. Now, for me, what I'm doing is not something I recommend you guys duplicate. It's not something that most people can duplicate, but that doesn't mean what I'm doing is better than what maybe some of you are doing. What I'm doing fits my situation. What some of you are doing with your stores and cash flow employees fits your situation. And again, folks, you don't need to have, well, Rudy, I don't have a store. I don't have a distributor. And folks, we don't have crashes of this stuff anymore. This is the previous cycle.
Okay? Right now, the only thing we have is new Pokemon. And guess what? The new Pokemon comes out. Yeah, if you have Dro access, your first little wave, congratulations. You can make a big profit margin. You get a good price per box in ETV. After that, guess what? The next two years, you're not paying $30, $40 an ETV. Oh, Rudy, you want Prismatic Evolutions? Yeah, you can have a restock 110 ETV. Well, right now it's 140. Okay.
Well, I guess I'll take it anyways. I don't want to turn it down and be that guy. Do you see what I'm saying? It's the distribution access that people are obsessed with right now. For some people makes a huge difference. But for 90% of people out there obsessed with Pokemon, you should not be putting any effort into wanting to open a store, get a business, try to get distribution this and that. Open up the store, get your one case allocation. Then maybe after six months to a year, you get a couple cases. After a couple years, you get a couple more. like the overhead in rent and utilities, the insurance, the taxes, everything you're going to pay on these items. What What's the point? What What are you going to do? You're going to pay 5 10 15,000 a month in overhead. Why? So you can get a couple Pokemon cases below market price. Bro, take the 5, 10,000, 15,000 a month overhead that you're going to dump into some store somewhere and just buy the product whenever you can even just get a fair price online.
You don't have to be a Rudy Patreon to support evil Rudy's third floor ball sack basement with Vlad. Vlad's supposed to be organizing stuff back there. I haven't seen him the whole video. I don't even know if he's still here. And I'm just telling you right now, that's not like none of that. Like people have so the focus isn't in the right place right now. Everybody's fighting for the new ME3, ME4 or Ascended Barney, right?
Nobody there's no challenge. No one's fighting against you trying to buy cases of anything from SV 1, 2, 3, four, five, six. I mean, does anybody care? I mean, Scarlet Sword and Shield's the same way.
The more you go back, sure. Oh, Rudy, there's less liquidity. Not as many people are buying those. So, I don't need a thousand sold a day. If somebody buys a case once a month, what's wrong with that? That's great. There's nothing I mean, that's See, it's it's a perspective thing. It's an optics thing.
It's I I feel a lot of the issues right now are still the emotional charge of the public, the anger of the public, the frustration of the public. There's just a lot of irrit irritability out there.
And everybody just has they go on their phone, they're swiping on the chicks, jiggling around, and you tell me you don't do it. You tell them you don't watch his channel in the bathroom. And we all do it. I watch my own videos when I go to the bathroom. That's half the time. The only reason I even go to the bathroom now is not because I even have to go to the bathroom because I want to watch myself and be like you guys. That I mean, that's it's a problem of perspective. Everybody, think about the effort and work that people spend online posting, complaining, frustrated. Think about how much time some people spend going all over the internet and trying to find Ascended Barney right now and they're trying to find, hey man, anybody got Ascended Barney for 160? I know it's like 180 right now. Anybody? The time that some people will spend trying to get 10, $20 off an ETB is staggering. It's completely insane.
People will spend hours trying to save this small chunk of money. And if you devoted that same energy, that work ethic, that that desire to get a deal or make money, just apply it to something else. I'm telling you, like we've been through this for years. Nobody cares if you bought a 25th anniversary celebration ETB for $40 or 45 or 50 or 70 or 100. Nobody cares if it's $500 an ETB. If Ascended Barney is 180s and in five years from now it's 500 ETB in 2032, you think someone's going to be, "Oh man, aren't you that loser? Didn't you pay a C? Didn't you buy the ETBs at 160?
Oh, wait. You paid 180, dude. I paid 160, man. Dude, you're Dude, I I did way better, dude. If it's 500, who cares?
Why are you doing that? In the big picture, doesn't mean like, take the time, do something else, focus on something else. You'll actually make more money and your mindset will be healthier. You won't be as stressed.
You'll feel better about doing things.
You won't like instead of what? spending your day tweeting, posting messages online, being upset about things like what's that? That's the thing about all this stuff. And I want the point of this video was I promised you guys another video cuz all of you guys keep saying reveal the Scarlet Violet. So, it goes around and goes that way, but you guys can't see the rest of it. And I just want to say remember when you see a video like this, this is the result right here of four years of working, moving, tying up money, and this like what's the date on some of these things?
Like I think the date on some of these is that's summer of 2023.
Okay, I'm sorry. Three and a half years.
You know, it's this is all product that in the moment, just like today's moment, is not in flavor. It's not in style.
It's not the hot sexy thing. And remember that right now, the markets, everybody's diving on whatever the newest the newest hottest releases.
Right now, for some reason, people want to buy $500 ME2s.
People are buying, I think, $2,100 Ascended Barney ETB cases now. Like, folks, if you're paying $500 a booster box, go back, get Mr. P. Get Chilling Rain from Sword and Shield. Go after like Silver Tempest or Lost Origin boxes. Go after like things that are years old. Somebody else already served the time for those products. The products have already aged. The You have to remember, it's not that the new products aren't going to go up or they can't go up. The difference right now is the downside.
Remember, professional money managers don't focus on how much money they can make. That's not even in the conversation. Professional money managers look at the riskreward kind of the breakdown. They're going to analyze something and say, "Hey, do if I buy this, what are the odds that we make 50%." Well, sir, the odds are pretty good over the next three years that we will make 50%. That's a great return. Okay. But what are the odds that it's 0% or negative% or negative retrace or anything? Well, it could be 20 30 40%. Hm. But if you look at something that's 3 years old, that's SV3 or SV what the char lizard set from before SVO2. Mr. P. If you look at these sets, there's no more coming. That when you look at the riskreward breakdown of should I put my money in this, you're looking at the upside and you're saying, is it going to go up? If you're asking that question, you're already a dumbass Timmy because we know it's going to go up. The question is, how fast will it go up? How much time do I have to wait for it to go up? And is it worth tying up the money today? Is it worth waiting? Do I have a place to store it? Do I need the money? Do I have the ability to hold the product, stay the course, and stand the test of time? And guess what? When you look at the those categories, you know, the other side is well, what if it crashes? What if they reprint it? Those type of risks have already been diluted and softened compared to buying prismatic, ME2, ME4, ME2 for fantasmal like these items carry. It's a different type of risk and that's what people need to understand right now. M that's what I don't it's it's it it's the risk balancing it it's deploying the money it's waiting it's understanding you know really I everybody's so obsessed with how much money can they make and how fast can they make it and I don't think people realize that the correct thing to do is to not make the money and not focus on how much do it's park the money build your positions and live your life and just Wait, the longer you do that, the more it will work out just fine. That's all it is, folks. Do not It's It's people. It's like people would check the stock market every 10 minutes. If you have the S&P, if you have the VU, if you have the spies, set it up. Put as much as you can in there. Live your life. Have 69 kids.
Don't end up on the news. Stay away from Vlad and move on. That's all. Like do not sit there and try to jump in out of the market. Don't sit there and say, "Well, you know, right now we got inflation. We got oil. There's a a straight or a canal or something happening. Uh Trump this, you see the Wait, the direction of Trump hair. It blew the other way in the wind." Wait, I heard about uh space rockets. It's in Jeff Bezos shooting more rockets into space. They look like penises. Wait, what? Wait a minute. Hold on. But Pokemon's doing a reprint facility where Wait, didn't Wizards Didn't Hasbro just change their stuff? Wait, hold on. What do I do? I I don't know which way to go.
Like it's all market noise. Nobody cares and nobody remembers. Like right now, if you I said one year ago, tell me what was going on right now in the card Pokemon and Magic market from a year ago. Most of you would have no idea. If I said right now what was happening in the magic market in 2022, four years ago, none of you could tell me exactly right now what the in the middle of May in 2022 what was exactly happening and what the drama cycle was. Nobody knows.
Vlad will tell you all the time, nobody knows. Nobody knows because that's what happens. The social media thing has us all rewired. There is there's no you don't remember it. So think about it.
your focus on these different things on what to buy and sell on news headlines and topics that aren't like you won't even REMEMBER IT. NOBODY'S GOING TO REMEMBER. NOBODY EVEN remembers what happened with with SVO6.
Do you know what happened at release?
Anybody know what happened a few months later when the market shifted? Anybody remember that? What about this u SVO4?
The paradox over there. Anybody remember how it came out and it did really good on release and then after that they reprint it and then it crashed and then everybody turned their like nobody remembers the actual events and details.
People remember how long ago it was.
They point to a certain card they remember. They recognize in their brain and they talk about what the price is.
The rest of everything you're focused on is lost in time. So everyone who's focused on this stuff and what to do isn't even it's not even information you remember. There's nothing even there's nothing to even go over. There's nothing left. You won't even remember it. And yet at the same time, you're spending your night browsing in bed in the bathroom. You're trying to think about what to do all these things. And the people you're listening to, not listening to, they're probably not even going to be around on YouTube. They're already going to be gone. The people who you think is posting on social media, they're not even going to be in the hobby in a year. You're going to be reading comments on all kinds of Facebook, MySpace, and I don't know, whatever the Ashley Madison websites, and Silk Road, and you guys are going to be listening to people that they're not going to be in the hobby next year. Most that's everybody talks about long-term investing. That's not what people do. No one does that. That's not a real thing, everybody. Like, we all talk about the fiveyear, the 10year. I'm here to show you the receipts. This is what it looks like. But no, that's nobody does that.
People do not actually hold and stand the test of time. Everybody says they do online, but I assure you all the stores, the collectors, the investors, everybody who contacts me and I buy all these stores and businesses and people and we transact and you guys see a lot of this stuff. I mean, they still made money.
Even if I'm paying them.7 cents on the dollar, they're still making money because things have gone up so much. But that's the 5 10 year hold isn't actually what people do. It's almost a meme. We talk about it and besides maybe 1% of people, 99% of people don't do it, but people's tell themselves they're going to. I'm gonna buy this because I'm going to wait for 5 years. I want to buy this Ascended Barney and I'm going to buy ME4 now. Chaos this and that because guess what? I'm going to wait five 10 years.
That's what I'm going to do that. So, do you guys think on uh Facebook, hey guys, my name is Timmy III. I have four ball sacks, but two of them are taped together, so I'm still normal. And, you know, should should I buy these items?
You know, I'm think I'm thinking about buying this case here of Magic and Pokemon. Should should I wait? Should I wait five years? Should I hold on to these? Is this a good investment, everybody? And you're talking to some kid who may be 18, 19 years old, first year in college. He has no idea what's coming in his life. Are you kidding me?
Nobody does. I've been doing this for 20 years. I can't tell you what the market's going to do in 6 or 12 months.
So, I hope this video helps you guys.
We're getting towards the end of the video now. I'm going to wrap it up here.
I'm tired of rambling. I did what I promised you guys I would do, which is reveal the another the next location of Scarlet Violet and reveal a lot of it.
You can't really see everything, but you get the idea. And I just want to remind everybody, a lot of quiet wealth and money and big big moves in this industry are done. And it's nothing what you think with all the social media posts, all the YouTube content, you know, pack openings, rip and shift. That's the hot thing. It's a real thing. It's a real business. It's all doing fine. But just understand there are larger scales and larger forces at work, folks, that I I don't think I think it's really tough for the average person out there to really grasp what's going on because so many people are probably lined up around the building at Walmart or Best Buy to get one ETB for $60 plus tax. And it blows my mind. I'm like, "Folks, go on TCG Player, buy the same ETB for $90 or $95 from a store. Are you really going to spend an entire morning of 4, 6, 8 hours to sit in line since 3:00 a.m. to buy one or two ETBs, whatever the limit is, to get $30 off, if that?" Like, I I don't I don't understand. I maybe more of it's just exciting. It's like a hype thing. It's a fun thing to do. That makes more sense. But folks, that's not where you should be focusing. You should be rested to start the day, clear minded. Okay? You should be 69 tacos deep. You should verify your balls are still in check. You should make sure everything's there. And then you should move on with your day. Think about your direction. Again, check on your balls.
After that, make sure is the time I'm doing is this the right use of my time?
That's the problem. And people aren't doing it. Who spends six hours sitting in front of Walmart or Target to buy two ETBs to get $60 off market? I mean, they're 95 on TCU Players at filming of this and they're at Target for what 60 plus tax. Like, you could focus work a different you could make more money at Chick-fil-A and you would not be stressed. You'd be rested all night.
See, and I'm just that's my point is it's it's a it's an opt it's a perspective problem, everybody.
I I buy the things that people don't want during the times that people are unhappy and they only want one thing. In Magic, I want to buy Spider-Man, Avatar, Turtles, Aether Drift. I want to buy that because it's cheap. It's readily available. And in Magic, nobody wants it. In Pokemon, I guess Prismatic, it's a million. Every time there's a reprint, if there's a dip, buy the SPCs.
If there's a dip in anything, buy the dip. Pass that. Just if you restructure how you spend your time, you'd be surprised where it leads. Folks, this is Scarlet and Violet. I hope you enjoyed the video today. Uh hopefully Vlad is outside doing the landscaping.
He's supposed to wear a Speedo. And I hope you guys enjoyed today's video. And it was important to just show the receipts that this is this is what it looks like to actually play the long game, not talk about long-term investing. This is what it looks like to actually do it. And not many people are going to show you that. And honestly, it's a pretty rough ride. A lot of crit criticism, a lot of emotions. It's not it's not as enjoyable as you guys may think. Just remember that, folks. A long journey. So, thanks for watching everybody. As always, don't forget, I heard on the internet there's a really really cool convention in Florida called Collecticon Orlando coming up. And um if you I know PCG is going to be there with crazy where you get like seven 10day express turnarounds and stuff like that and like same day stuff. So, uh, if you're in Florida and you want to go to Disney World and you want to see a bunch of alligators and stuff, you may want to. There's a huge I think it's sold out like 20,000 people, but I heard there's a big thing going on. So, thanks for watching. You have a beautiful day. As always, we end the video on the most important part and the most important lesson, Rudy's penis.
