In aviation accident investigations, technical evidence such as timing discrepancies between system failures and pilot actions can be crucial in determining causation; for example, a 14-second difference between electrical fuel cut-off (4 seconds) and manual fuel cut-off (18 seconds) can demonstrate that a system failure, not pilot error, was the cause of an incident.

AI171 Crash Probe | Breaking: FIP Press Conference on Air India 171 Crash Technical Findings
Added:will be held on Friday by the Federation of Indian Pilots. New technical evidence proves pilot suicide theory in AI17 crash is baseless and must be thrown out. The press conference will release this fresh technical evidence that proves pilot suicide and pilot error theory in AI71 crash is completely wrong. Anit >> well yes Anand FIP is once again coming out with technical evidence previously also in Ahmedabad on June 12th they had held a press conference saying and making very relevant points. Two of their points were around the pilot theory and they said that the only two seconds transcript that was made public in the preliminary report. It raises more speculations than giving answers to as what what would have happened.
Secondly, uh the rad deployment thing with that you were discussing. There have been multiple investigators who have also released images of the rad deployed when the plane is taking off and running on the runway as well. So that is also one thing that proves kind of that the rat was deployed before the plane had lifted off. So that is also something that leads towards some hydraulic or electric kind of failure which may have caused CSM Dhawa said on that day that which may have caused transitioning of fuel sources and not the vice versa. Secondly, he also pointed out that media to western media reports the premier report was released before it was released in Indian media and it was western media that had created this narrative that it could be the pilot's fault. Correct. Where Sumit Subarwal came in picture. So all these three points were put before by the CF da previously also and tomorrow also he's coming up with a press conference with more techn technical evidence that certainly would make things clearer.
>> Right. Captain Amit Singh and Anit Shriast thank you very much viewers.
It's a very simple equation and there is a mismatch. Electrical cutff rat deployment 4 seconds. Manual fuel cutff by pilot rat deployment 18 seconds. So if there is rat deployment in 4 seconds it is equal to electrical failure not fuel cutff manually by the pilot. So that's the where the equation mismatch happens and very clearly that's why the pilot should not be blamed in this.
There is more to it with the instrumentation panel with the aircraft itself uh than rather than pilot's fuel cutff or a manual or a pilot error.
That's where it is. So, we'll continue to track this story. We got to uh take a short pause here on our coverage. Stay with us on CNN News8.
