Trade protectionist policies like tariffs and sanctions often backfire by disproportionately harming domestic consumers and businesses rather than the targeted foreign adversaries, as the cost burden typically falls on domestic populations through higher prices and reduced economic opportunities.

Trump's Biggest Mistake? How Sanctions and Tariffs Are BackfiringHinzugefügt:
America has now gotten to a point whereby Donald Trump decisions are rather causing more harm to America more than their adversaries.
That is the situation that Uncle Sam find yourselves. And that is why the Supreme Court decided to reverse Donald Trump um what do you call it?
tariff That is why uh the House of Representatives just on the third is trying to limit his power. Look, I am not an economist, but I am quite surprised why you know, this many elites in America cannot tell Donald Trump the truth.
And this reminds me of what um Japan you know, Prime Minister said. He said, "You don't oppose Donald Trump.
The moment you tell him that you are wrong, the guy becomes angry."
And I think that is the situation or I assume that is the situation currently in the White House. For example, look at this whole tariff 100% tariff on China.
It was quite obvious that it is rather going to hit the average Americans more than the Chinese.
>> [clears throat] >> But yet, he decided to implement it before the Supreme Court decided to um you know, take that powers from him.
China is not going to pay the tariff. It is rather regular Americans who are going to pay the tariff.
Now, let me use this earpiece as an example. Maybe assuming the Chinese produce each one $1, right?
And a businessman in America decides to go in and pick it for one $1.
He gets to America, 100% tariff on this product. So, it is now $2.
There is no way that the businessman who is in who bought this thing for $1 to sell it at the same price in America. So, automatically, this earpiece is not $2.
Plus his own profit. So, at the end of the day, you buy it for, let me say, $3 or $4. So, the consumer pay the difference and not the Chinese.
I hope you guys understand.
And this whole tariff thing was also affecting many many designer companies in the West and America.
Let me use Rolex as an example. I'm not saying that all Rolex are made in China.
I'm only using it as an example, right?
Um we all know that China is the factory of the world.
China is today a force to reckon with, whether you like it or not.
So, what most of these Western um Uncle Sam or American companies do is sometimes they buy these stuff from Southeast Asia, especially China.
They bring it back, put their stamps on it, and sell it at a higher price. So, maybe Rolex give a certain model to the Chinese to produce for them, right? They can buy some of these watches as low as less than even $100 or $200.
They bring it back to Switzerland, then assemble it, or they just put their logos on it.
Some of them also buy parts from China and assemble it in their home country.
Others, they just buy the whole thing.
They give them the design, and they produce it for them.
Simple.
Now, after this whole tariff thing started, what the Chinese started doing was all these expensive designer clothing and shoes that people were buying for thousands of dollars, China decided to take out the middle man. Then decided to start trading directly with customers.
So something that Louis Vuitton would sell for, let me say $2,000, in China, the company who's producing these for them is less than even $100.
The only difference is the logo.
So at the end of the day, this was hurting American businesses than China.
And when I talk about these things, you see, the most funniest or what always come to my mind is the Donald Trump cap.
You see that red cap Trump, you know, wears a lot, especially during his campaign time, "Make America Great Again."
And it is written "Made in China."
So according to Trump, his only aim is to bring back production to America.
He should have led by an example.
But his own cap and most of the stuff he he even wear are from China.
And this is the same guy leading this crusade of bringing back American factories, waging war against China.
This is the same guy whose items are produced in China.

>> Most people keep asking me to talk about the Russia-Ukraine war. Um if you pay attention to the stuff that I post here, trust me, sometimes you'll be way ahead of the mainstream media. Yeah, some certain things sometimes I report here over 3 to 4 days time before I even see it appearing in the mainstream media.
Um remember a little bit week ago, I told you guys that the Russians were preparing for massive counteroffensive.
Many people don't understand how the army operates.
So, I quite remember when the America-Iran war started, a lot of people were criticizing Putin, why are the Russians not taking advantage of this whole war in the Middle East and go after Ukraine once and for all?
No.
This is completely different. You see, it is very difficult for you to launch um massive counteroffensive in winter.
It's not that easy.
It's It's a recipe for disaster.
Bad weather in Ukraine and Russia has been the greatest enemy of every country that ever invaded Russia.
Most of these countries who invaded Russia, they start losing their lives even before any major battle even begins or began.
Check at the era of Napoleon. Check the Nazis.
Check Check England. The The The Ottoman Empire. You know, check all of them.
Fighting in winter has never been easy, right? And remember that Putin has made it clear um not once, but multiple times that his main aim is to preserve Russian troops. Um he's not interested in pushing innocent young men to to be on a life in the name of some short victory.
He will never do that. So, remember he's also waging this war not just against the Ukrainians, but his main target is the West. Putin understand something that most of us don't.
He's fully aware or he knows very well that sooner or later Ankara Sam will stop supplying weapons to the Ukrainians.
Just today, just today, um Pentagon told Germany that they will not be able to sell them these Tomahawk missiles.
So, what Germany was trying to do or EU were trying to do was to buy these cruise missiles and other missiles um or weapons from Ankara Sam, then hand it over to the Ukrainians.
And they're not telling them that, "Look, due to whatever is happening in the Middle East, we can't support you." And this is the most interesting part. They said or America said, I mean I I I am trying to make sure that I give you guys an accurate information and anybody can go back and cross-check, right?
According to Politico, hehe the Americans are worried that the moment they supply these weapons to the uh Ukrainians, um Russia may perceive it as an escalation. Guys, um as we continue to wait for our new gadgets to arrive, um I'll apologize to all of you for the bad audio quality.
