[00:00:00]Have you given much thought to like the fact that you being a a young man who presents as and I hope you don't mind me saying this but very stereotypically straight white guy of how much that sort of identity plays into people's maybe your own assumptions of people will believe me and then people's reaction to it as well. Because it seems to me if a just someone from a more minority background is put is in that situation the assumption of uh truth is not often given to them. Yeah, and it wasn't until I started having conversations with women and particularly women of color that I started to fully understand what other victim survivors uh go through when they're trying to disclose their story.

[00:00:41]Like for me to like come forward um felt like a bit of a hurdle to get over but for you know when you start to stack up like the amount of things that uh women and women of color have to consider before um doing what's best for them they've got to bloody climb over the Burj Khalifa just to kind of like get through what they're got they're going through. And I also know it's different for other uh males as well. Like I think my situation is is very circumstantial cuz there are other men who suffer horrific things as well where it it is still quite difficult for them so I wouldn't say it's just easy because it's a a white male. I think everything that kind of surrounded me and my circumstances made it made perhaps more simple.
