This research offers a high-brow excuse for daydreamers by rebranding a lack of focus as a hidden cognitive strength. It’s a convenient narrative that risks mistaking mental noise for actual intellectual progress.

Eight Things You Might Not Have Heard - May 21 2026 – 6:00 PMAdded:
Eight stories to get through that you might have missed throughout your day including this breaking news story on Kyle Busch and his quick passing. It is May 21st, 2026. It's about 6:00 p.m. as we're dropping this on the internet.
Two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch died today tragically at the age of 41 after hospitalization with a serious illness, severe illness that no one has been told about what it is yet.
The Busch family, the Richard Childress Racing and NASCAR issued a joint statement on him today. He was of course days away from competing in the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Another tragedy that was more or less seen coming and pushed ahead if you will. Democrats belatedly published their 2024 presidential election autopsy report because CNN approached them today about the reporting they were going to do on this autopsy. So, they released it to CNN and then to the world despite some misgivings. If you've seen bits and pieces or any sort of commentary on this one, you know why there are plenty of misgivings. A criminal case was dismissed against the former assistant principal over the shooting of a teacher by a student. This was Ebony Parker who was charged with eight counts of felony child abuse uh for disregard of life in connection with the January 20 January 2023 shooting at Richneck Elementary School in Newport News. Each count for each bullet that was spent by the gun.
Now, mind-wandering enhances the brain's ability to learn patterns, so says a new study. So, don't let that daydreaming fool you. That person is actually a genius. The findings suggest that this is not just simple failure of attention but functional shift that helps the brain absorb in complex information. You are actually thinking when you're daydreaming. So, you can use that. I said so. Meanwhile, Netflix is going to launch its first daily live show with The Breakfast Club. Now, under the initial deal with iHeart Radio in December, Netflix became the exclusive home for the viewing of the video version of The Breakfast Club, but now this is their first daily live streaming show. Every single day live, watch the crew talk about all all things that you don't think they know things about live on Netflix. I'm just kind of, you know, it's more of a hate the player type deal here. Trump called off plans to sign an artificial intelligence order due to concerns that it could hurt the industry. Actually, some of the words written in the order was kind of there, so we just scrapped it. The order would establish a framework for government to vet the national security offices for risks, but for most AI systems, but of course, that means pushing them back, slowing them up if you will. A key federal agency approved a design for Trump's Washington Archway, by the way.
Our commissioners were all approved by Trump and they're going to go forward to make this thing happen. It's very, very, very big. 250 ft and it right now blocks basically all the attractions in the mall. And finally, a 78-year-old woman died after a fight at Tim Hortons with a worker. Uh police have this from the Fort Wayne Police Department where the 77-year-old had gotten in a altercation with a 20-year-old.
This was a sad one. These all are kind of a scattering of stories, but some of them you may miss, some may not have. If you miss some stories out there, let us know, we'll catch up and get some.
