[00:01:54]Okay, my name is Deepak Kumar. I am from Patna, Bihar and currently I am also living in Patna. I have done my MBA from Bangalore in the field of marketing and currently I am working as an assistant professor in a college. My the hobbies are writing content and making videos on YouTube and currently I am running my own YouTube channel called communication group through which I have uploaded the videos that is based on English and communication skills. [00:02:39]>> No no no no no. Uh but the field is completely different from IT because I have done my MBA in the field of marketing and you know about the marketing. It's required a lot of good English and communication skills.

[00:03:08]So now I'll just introduce myself. So as you already know my name I'm Priya. I'm from Tamil Nadu. So I'm a student. I'm doing my masters in English literature at Turu University which is exactly located in Belu. It's a separate district uh from Tamil Nadu. Apart from that I run a YouTube channel named called Priya's English world. There I just upload my spoken English related content videos. It's been 2 years for my English journey as well as for my YouTube journey as well. And I'm a passionate English learner. So my exams are around the corner. coming April 30th my semester exams are going to commence.

[00:03:46]So I'm going to write my exam. So I'm just literally busy with my preparation for that purpose of examination and that's it all about me. In case if you have any question we'll just move further. Yeah thank you.

[00:04:00]>> Definitely it's it's really good to be here. uh you are doing your graduation as well as you are also giving some of the coaching to the students who are trying to get better at the English language. So so so so it's really good to be here because previously I have also done my graduation in English literature and then after that I have I have decided to to go go for an MBA.

[00:04:25]>> That's good. So you did your bachelor's degree in English literature am I right?

[00:04:30]>> English lit literature.

[00:04:31]>> Oh that's good. So why didn't you go for MA English literature instead of MBA? I think you have some kind of uh ideas regarding that right? So I would like to know that. So that's why I'm asking this question.

[00:04:44]>> Uh actually Priya I am from Bihar and you know about most of the students in Bihar. Lot of the students are so much enthusiastic about doing the government job. So so so the at that point of time I was falling in such kind of race as well because most of my my the friend were preparing for the government job exam. So so the I was preparing for uh for the government job exam for the four years and then after that I thought that it it didn't work for me and then I had decided to do something uh to the work in the corporate and and also support my family as well. So so so the I I had also decided to do an MBA from Bangalore. The then my journey also started like that and and after that yeah um some sometimes uh I had also told in my introduction as well in the year 2022 when I was going to do an MBA um I have told many times after doing my MBA I had switched my career to to the teaching profession. So the most of the people are are the so much amazed after hearing such kind of words to me because when a person had completed their MBA in in the any kinds of streams like HR, marketing and finance as well they have opted for the job in the corporates. There are only few number of of the people who who had a dream to become a professor and choose choose another field as well.

[00:06:20]>> Exactly. Well, well, right. You are absolutely right. And I'm so astonished about the explanation that you've given here regarding your niche and interest.

[00:06:30]And after completing MBA, you still chosen the path of teaching profession.

[00:06:34]I'm so happy for that.

[00:06:37]>> Okay. So, when it comes to MBA, you did it regarding some marketing, right?

[00:06:42]Marketing field.

[00:06:43]>> Marketing.

[00:06:44]>> Okay. That's uh great. That's a great and you mentioned one thing. you prepared for government examination for four years after that later you realized it that didn't work for you then you shifted your mindset and you did MBA and I just resonated this same idea uh with my life also because once I completed my 12th standard what I did because of my family pressure my relatives colleagues the same incident uh which happened to me in my life as well they just said me uh degree is just a waste of paper don't go for a degree Okay just uh prepare government examination crack it and just get a job in a u let's small age like within 20 you'll get a job like that they given some suggestion ideas so I also inspired by their words and I once I completed my 12th standard I started to prepare examination regarding TNPS because that time I didn't complete my degree so I was not eligible to write UPSC group one group two examination I was only eligible to I group four examination and I dedicatedly uh just spend that one year. Uh I worked hard for that examination. Somehow I wrote it but I didn't crack it but I just got pass marks and after that what I realized the same thing that didn't work for me that was not my path. After one year I realized my mistake also and I've chosen my English dream because I love English a lot. I don't know many people think that English is just a language but I think that English is my life. I want to do something unique with help of this language. I want to create some impact with help of this language. I don't know but nowadays communication skills plays a vital role. So that's why I thought that I literally love to do that naturally. It's from my natural part. So I'm just working on my communication for that purpose. I'm just connecting with new people from Bihar, various states.

[00:08:45]I'm literally enjoying it and I'm very happy to connect with you because you are from Bihar. I don't know Hindi but we are just connecting with each other with help of this language English country and and you are also so much fluent in your mother tongue tong tamil.

[00:09:02]Yeah, exactly.

[00:09:03]>> Because when when the I was in the Bangalore, lot of my my the friend are from Tamil Nadu and and the when they are talking to each other in the Tamil, it is quite difficult for me to understand it. It's a it's a very difficult language for me.

[00:09:23]>> Definitely. Yeah. Tam is literally difficult. Um but when you uh learn it, it sounds so sweet at the same time.

[00:09:31]when it from when it comes to my side learning Hindi is like a killian task for me. I started to learn Hindi but after two months I quit it because I thought that oh my god it was literally very hard to grasp those words which especially varnala a lot of things are there right as oh my god then I quit it but one of my desire is to learn Hindi as well many students many people are from northern state of India see nowadays we know globalized language is English but I think after five years English uh Hindi also going to play a significant role in our society I think it's a right time for me to learn Hindi.

[00:10:10]>> So can you give some tips and tricks for us non-native speakers of Hindi especially from southern part of India.

[00:10:16]What would you tell to us how should we learn Hindi?

[00:10:22]>> Uh yeah Ria you have asked very good questions to me. uh actually uh learning any language I am not talking about Hindi I'm not talking about Tamil and and any types of specific language I am talking about the language in which you want to get fluent in it first of all you just try to listen more and more some of the content in the Hindi language and and then you try to speak more and more after that automatically you will become fluent into it yeah Priya It will take some time because Rome was not built in a day. It will take some time but after dedication practice of 6 month or the one year definitely you will become so much fluent in the it was given you one example for one of my my the friend who who has a very good English and communication skills but but due to their Hindi they are not selected in this job I'm talking about the the place of Bangalore and this guy is from Kerala and and this guy mother tongue is Malayala and and this guy didn't know how to speak Hindi how to interact with other customer in the Hindi okay then this guy lived with me in the PG for one year and this guy automatically learn Hindi yeah >> wow so nice to hear about it and what about English. Did he speak English very well at that moment?

[00:12:04]>> Yeah. Yeah.

[00:12:05]>> Okay. But he didn't speak Hindi. But he spoke >> English very well.

[00:12:12]>> Very well. No doubt.

[00:12:13]>> Okay. Because of Hindi, he got this. He got >> Yeah.

[00:12:17]>> He didn't select it, right? Oh my god.

[00:12:20]>> Yeah. My father used to tell me that Priya, you have to learn Hindi as well.

[00:12:24]Hindi plays a crucial role nowadays. I started to do that. But why? I don't know why I literally skipped it and I have a doubt. See you given the tips and tricks. Uh first we have to listen and we have to speak and what about the alphabets? Do I need to learn alphabet first? Hindi alphabet first then I have to go for listening because I didn't know anything in Hindi. I don't know what is that. I don't understand anything.

[00:12:48]>> Uh actually Priya uh when you try to learn Hindi through alphabet. Yeah. uh when when when you are at the age of of five years, six year then it's also works for anyone but but right now you are at the age where you need to speak more and more and and you have a lot of responsibility about the other works and and your study as well. At that point of time really such type of speaking Hindi languages helps you you a lot to to learn this Hindi language fast.

[00:13:25]>> Yeah. Because there is no need of corrections. I have met with my manager were the also from the Tamil Nadu and this guy didn't speak Hindi at that point of time and and the way this guy also lived along with some of my north Indian friend my my the manager automatically talking to me in this Hindi language so so your environment play a very important role in in learning any types of languages.

[00:14:02]>> Sure. Of course. In case if we don't get environment in Hindi, we have to immerse ourselves in Hindi just by listening, watching movies, right? Yeah. How we've learned English. I have to give the same importance to Hindi also, right?

[00:14:16]>> See for this much of fluency I take two years. But before that, when it comes to my academic, I learned English as a subject in my all the age from my childhood itself.

[00:14:28]But Hindi no completely zero. I'm very poor at Hindi because I don't know uh something in Hindi also right. So I have to start everything from scratch. So it takes some time but it's possible right?

[00:14:44]Is it possible to speak Hindi within one year for me?

[00:14:46]>> Definitely.

[00:14:49]>> It's it's it's completely possible.

[00:14:52]>> Oh really? Thank you so much. So I have to take some initiative to learn Hindi.

[00:14:56]I'm so um very interested to learn Hindi also because just by just the moment you given an example right because of your friend got rejected because of Hindi he didn't know Hindi but he was very good at English at the same thing I don't want to happen for me also in my future so I have to take some steps regarding it good and you just uh told that you are working as assistant professor so uh which subject you handling right Now >> uh right now uh either teach BBA students and and I handle uh finance and and the marketing as well.

[00:15:34]>> So good. So in which uh city right now you are working as a assistant professional professor >> in my hometown Patna? It's a it's a capital of Bihar. Patna Patna currently.

[00:15:47]>> So currently you are working as assistant professor in Bihar Patner itself. Patna itself right?

[00:15:52]>> Yeah Bihar Patner. Okay. And you told me that um you did your MBA in Bangalore.

[00:15:59]>> Yeah.

[00:15:59]>> So it almost two years of your experience, two years of duration of MBA, right?

[00:16:05]>> Yes. Yes.

[00:16:07]>> Can you please tell me how was your experience in Bangalore for the two years uh for the part of your academic purpose because I never been to Bangalore. I always in Tamil Nadu Tamar but in my future I'm planning to visit lot of area. So that's why I'm just uh I've chosen this language. I would like to become a communication trainer, soft skills trainer. I don't want to be just a lecturer. I would I like to become a lecturer but apart from that I want to be a trainer. If I become a trainer, I can travel lot of places. I can meet various unique people. So that's why I'm asking how is your experience in Bangalore?

[00:16:44]Um actually Priya when you talk about the my my experience before two years in the Bangalore my the experience was very good and the one of the great thing about Bangalore about it it's its weather is so good uh okay it's it's it's not so much hot not so much cold okay weather is very normal and and I also enjoyed a lot in the traveling to to the many types of places in the Bangalore Yeah. And and the at that point of time I was starting my own YouTube channel uh to the learn this English language and and the I was taking the broadcast of most of the people who have a very good English and the communication skills and and the at that point of time I also enjoyed a lot because in Bangalore lot of the students are coming from different backgrounds and different cities and their languages are totally different from from my Mother Tak Hindi. So, so the at that point of time English is the only medium through which I can communicate with different people and and to share my ideas and the words as well. So, so the without English life is very difficult in a cities like Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, it's quite difficult for anyone.

[00:18:02]>> Okay. I really agree with the words that you share here. Without English, you can't sustain there. You can survive but you can't sustain the place. Right. So may I know when it comes to Bangalore which language people prefer to speak Tamar, Telugu or Hindi? I don't know about it. So that's why I'm asking.

[00:18:21]>> Actually when you talk about the Yeah.

[00:18:24]Bangalore people, Bangalore people especially speaks Canada. Canada but Canada but but there are lots of people who come from Hyderabad who do job in Bangalore and and their languages is Telu. Yeah. Uh >> okay.

[00:18:43]>> Yeah. uh so so so so the Telu Tamil um as well as Mallayalam all languages are spoken by the people in the Bangalore but but one of the a specific language through which we we all can communicate with different people is the English >> because I I can't understand Tamil Telu and Malalam and the other languages like Bengali as well so okay so the me talk to different kinds of people from India India and from um other states and and the other country as as the well English is one of the big weapon for me through which I can share my experience I can talk to different kinds of people so so the it's it's a very uh with well-maintained journey for me in the initial stage I was good at writing English but at the time of speaking I got stuck after a few sentences in the English and and Priya it it had become so much embarrassing for me at that point of time because you you just know about the college life lots of the lots of the friends are also laughing at you when you are not able to speak English well so so in the initial it can happen to me yeah >> yeah truly absolutely I agree with your words definitely but you were in Bangalore at that moment but I'm in Tamil Tamil Nadu so I don't get that much of uh problems regarding English you know one thing if I speak English that is problem for my friends if I speak Tamil that doesn't bother them but when it comes to Bangalore if you speak your mother tongue that creates some problem right which means you you didn't communicate with each other so now I just we have the differentiate between Bangalore and Tamil Nadu the importance of English in Bangalore the importance of English in Tamil Nadu even though nowadays people know the importance of this language but still now some people only have taken some uh responsibility to learn this language rest of the students rest of the people what they are just uh simply say they are giving excuses I don't have English involvement I don't have English partners I don't know how to learn English is very hard for us still they are giving excuses but more than people they have improved a lot right they just taken an initiative and they learned So that's how it's going. So may I know how long have you been working as assistant professor in a college?

[00:21:19]>> Uh from last 6 month I have joined this profession and previously I worked in a company called year till as a supervisor and and and then after working one year I I left this job and and I joined this profession.

[00:21:35]>> Oh okay. I think you had some experience about the company field at field everything. Now you can let me know which job you are enjoying a lot professor versus IT that field that you mentioned here supervisor which you like the most.

[00:21:52]Actually Priya when you talk about the enjoyment definitely currently I I enjoyed a lot because uh I I just need to take only classes three to four hours after that I I also become free to do any types of work that help me to improve my English as well as other things as the bill. Um okay and and the other part is when I was working in the Bangalore um as a supervisor uh then is then it's quite difficult for me to maintain all those things because at that point of time I was not doing a single video in in a year.

[00:22:32]>> Yeah. And and my YouTube channel also got vanished day by day because I I was not uploading any videos for the one year. And you know about that how much hectic sle I was facing in the corporate it's it's lifestyle is is it's lifestyle is completely different and you know about the supervisor you you just also need to take care of your team and and you handle the the team in a good way and and when your team commits any types of mistake definitely at the end of the day you will be responsible for that.

[00:23:09]>> Yeah. So, so yeah. Yeah. This is my um very hectic life that I I I was doing job in the Bangalore.

[00:23:18]>> Okay. Oh, happy to know that. See, now I got some idea which you like the most which you literally enjoying right the way. Uh so that is professor right? Uh professor job. That's so good to know about uh you Deepak and you know one thing it's been a nice talking with you.
