Ben's Medical Update [Thyroid] - May 2026 - A Non-Coin Video

[00:00:00]Hey everybody, welcome to Bend the Coin Geek's little coin cave here. I have a quick video for you today updating you on some medical stuff and a couple other things going on. First of all, I just want to give a very heartfelt thanks to everyone who participates in this channel.

[00:00:16]You guys truly do make this channel great. You make it what it is what it is because of your constant ability to be here and comment and share and like and do all the YouTube algorithm stuff and I appreciate that also. I really appreciate all of you who have spent so much time on our website looking at stuff, buying stuff, keeping us real busy. I mean the engineer thanks you.

[00:00:42]Josie in the office, Zach the shipper, everyone's just very grateful. You guys keep us all employed basically. So, we're working for you guys, right? So, I thank you for that. In front of the house also thanks you. Speaking of the front of the house, if you stop in Tucson and you may see me and you may not. I'm not going to be in the office as much as we're moving into like a some type of a new phase with Old Pueblo Coin. Not exactly sure all of the details. That's kind of to be determined. That's a part of what's going to be going on moving forward is I'm going to be out of the office more so I can focus on trying to figure out what the next generation of Old Pueblo Coin looks like and just what the next iterations are for any other side projects that I / we may have.

[00:01:27]And we'll see, but we will keep keeping you hopefully somewhat coin entertained in the coming years and that's one of our goals. Coin entertainment and education is always on our mind. All right, so for those of you don't know, I've got a thyroid thing going on. Got some like little growth activity and so it's we've been watching it for the last couple years and the time has come to have it snip snip.

[00:01:54]We're going to get my thyroid fixed so I can't have any more baby thyroids.

[00:01:58]I'm pretty sure that's medically what's happening. Um that's totally medically how that works. I was really good in biology and anatomy. Totally. So uh anyway, in all seriousness, uh any uh prayers are always welcome. Uh you know, I this is happening sometime this summer. Getting a a half the thyroid removed. Um there will be after that there will be a biopsy to see if there's any need to remove the other half in a sooner than later kind of fashion. A lot of it's precautionary. Um you know, over and above the growth, you know, there's always just looking out for anything that could be cancerous, which I think is there's a crab right here. I think that's the cancer symbol, right? So um anyways, we'll see how it goes, but uh we hope to not have any disruptions here for you guys.

[00:02:48]As we joked about sometime ago when I first brought up the thyroid issue, um you know, my my voice is going to sound a little bit different, maybe, but possibly not at all. But uh you can pick. So go ahead, leave your comments down below about what voice um you know, you'd like me to come back with. I'm kind of hoping for something along the lines of Samuel L. Jackson.
