Citrus tree update on a scorching spring day ☀️🌱

[00:00:03]Everyone, it's Joe. It's Sunday the 24th of May and it's an absolute scorcher.

[00:00:11]It's around 31°C clear blue sky.

[00:00:17]And I thought I'd give you guys an update on my citrus trees.

[00:00:20]But before we go and have a look at those, just wanted to show you my pomegranate trees.

[00:00:27]Guys, they've put on so much growth in the last month or so.

[00:00:31]And my Italian variety over here is actually in flower.

[00:00:38]You can see here the beautiful red flower.

[00:00:41]And we've got uh a number of flower buds yet to open on this tree.

[00:00:47]But back to the citrus, take a quick look at my Rubino clementine, which is grafted onto a Poncirus uh trifoliata, so hardy hardy citrus rootstock.

[00:01:02]And this has been in a flower for the last week or so.

[00:01:07]And uh can actually see uh we've got some uh fruitlets forming there.

[00:01:14]And the aroma coming from these flowers is just absolutely awesome.

[00:01:19]And then we've got uh a larger Rubino clementine, so a blood clementine.

[00:01:25]And this one also is in flower, as you can see.

[00:01:29]Really healthy tree here.

[00:01:33]I give it a dedicated citrus feed.

[00:01:36]And every other week I will feed it with uh a fish fish mix fertilizer.

[00:01:44]Over here we have my Sanguinello blood orange. I grafted this uh last year onto a Poncirus uh trifoliata rootstock.

[00:01:54]And so yeah, it's looking really healthy.

[00:01:58]We have a highly citrus here.

[00:02:01]And I'll be uh grafted onto this probably next spring.

[00:02:06]And then over here we have my Sanguinello blood orange tree which uh had a lot of dieback over winter as it was outdoors all winter.

[00:02:17]But as you can see, we have a lot of new growth everywhere on this tree. So, I'm pleased that it's uh it's bounced back.

[00:02:31]And uh yeah, looking forward to being a lot more bushier than it is at the moment.
