What happens when people have to drive 90 minutes to get to a doctor in an emergency

[00:00:00]I've been here since 2011. I think seven hospitals have closed their OBGYN specifically their OBGYN services, but some other just hospitals in general have closed. And so for those patients, it isn't that easy. It is not um you know, easy to just if they call and say we'll say it's a GYN patient and they're bleeding and they're having heavy bleeding and they need to come in and I'm like, well, we need to get an ultrasound on you. Can you come in today? And their first thing is, well, I'm an hour and a half away.

[00:00:34]And it's 3:00. It takes a lot for some people to get here. You know, if they don't have a car, there's no Uber service.

[00:00:40]You know, there's no Lyft. We have one car, my husband has it or we have one car and it's down. I have to call a neighbor. Or I have to see if somebody can bring me. My aunt has to go to work.

[00:00:52]So, it's actually having to plan out when you can come to the doctor for an emergency.
