New video this morning shows a New Jersey State Police detective in his role during a deadly high-speed chase in Burlington County. A Camden County jury found Detective Mark Campagna guilty yesterday of endangering another person during this incident in 2023. The video now released from a police mobile recorder shows him following a motorcyclist while off-duty in an unmarked vehicle reaching speeds past 100 miles per hour without lights or sirens. The chase ended in Springfield Township where the motorcyclist collided with another vehicle and was killed.
Campagna faces up to 18 months in prison for the conviction. Sentencing is set for July 30th.
