The 7 Ancient Gods of One Piece

[00:00:00]All right. So, in One Piece, the topic of gods has been really hot lately with the introduction of rain god Zaza. And so far, we know that there are for sure four confirmed gods, quote unquote, the sun god, the rain god, the earth god, and the forest god. But we've actually heard about other gods in the series uh previously. First of all, the uh war god or the warrior god uh from Elbaf who originally I guess was the need hog or something or he could transform into it.

[00:00:32]He also originally had Ragnar and he had the ratataser ice squirrel with him as a companion. So that's one god right there that is already outside of the four that we know. Unless he is like the earth god at the same time. I wouldn't be surprised that the need hog is the earth god at the same time. But do you think that there's more than just like the four gods before we even go further?

[00:00:54]>> Yeah, I I think there's already more than the four. I mean, in the Harley text, we heard about the sea god and people are saying it could be synonymous with the rain. That's fine, too. But outside of that, we got the war god as well, like you said, right? That's another brand new god. And I just think that as time goes on, we're going to learn that the first world, the prejoy boy era, is just like a Greek pantheon of gods. Like they're just everywhere.

[00:01:15]>> Yeah, I I agree. It does seem to be going in that direction. And like you said, the sea god is mentioned in the Harley text for sure. And I don't know if that does mean the rain god because Oda for sure when he was writing the Harley text portion of the story, he knew the difference between Poseidon or the sea god or whatever and the rain god for sure. So the sea god is probably different than the rain god. The rain god probably relates to like weather as to where the sea god literally relates to the sea. Because going into that a little more, back at Fisherman Island, Neptune says the three ancient weapons bearing the names of gods. Pluton, Uranus, and Poseidon. So when he says that, I don't think he's talking about like Greek and Roman mythology because like that doesn't exist in the One Piece world. You know what I mean?

[00:02:02]>> It doesn't exist in the One Piece world, but they do like have these weird nods to stuff like that. So I wouldn't mind it. I guess a good example is like when Pedro had like the Nox Pirates and like oh when you translate that it means before the dawn. It's like oh cool all right. Yeah. So so we we get little like um not Easter eggs but like fourth wall breaking moments like that and I think that's cool but yeah we have the god of the dead which is definitely Pluton which I think they can bring that up eventually back. So so far we have uh seven. It seems like there is at least because the ancient weapons are they based off of gods rather than like the other gods we've seen so far becoming mythical zoan devil fruits. There could just be some gods that are remanifested in the form of weapons. I mean not like literally like their souls go into the weapons or whatever, but those weapons are based off of the original gods that existed in the first world possibly. It does seem to be that case. Now, as for the forest god, you know, talked about, could be Chopper, maybe not. Rain god Zaza, so many possibilities for that.

[00:03:02]Could be dragon, could represent Vivi, could maybe represent Nami, or maybe that person just doesn't exist or the devil fruit doesn't exist or it does, or it hasn't been found. But real quick, just so that we have Zaza here since it is so prevalent, what do you make of Zaza? Like, which stock are you buying with that?

[00:03:19]>> Yeah, which stock am I buying?

[00:03:21]Currently, I have my stock in the Dragon Camp. Nothing super surprising there. I I think dragon is just a really good answer for Zaza as it stands. But that being said, I'm totally okay with it being like this weird thing where the fruit didn't respawn and instead it goes to Nami or Vivi. Like I'm pretty open as long as it doesn't go to someone we don't care about. I think that's the main thing.

[00:03:41]>> Yeah, that's what I was saying. Like if it does belong to somebody that we haven't met yet, I guess it's like I don't know, they go to Loadar and then it's like oh the Zaza Fruit user is there. You know, that could always happen. But I just don't think so.

[00:03:54]Dragon is the pragmatic answer for sure.

[00:03:56]Yeah, we got the seven gods that we at least have heard of mentioned in the story. So, we've got the god of war, the god of death, the sun god, Na, the rain god, Zaza, forest god, earth god, and then the sea god. And then a little thing I guess we can end on here is when we go back to emu going into the deep catacomb chamber place of Mary Jah that's like like super cold. when they first look at the giant straw hat, which may or may not have belonged to Joy Boy, there's like seven openings, and then they go to the one that has the straw hat. And it makes you wonder like, are each one of these openings relating to a god possibly, like it has some kind of artifact or something that relates to that god or belongs to the original god or something? Because emu, it still remains to be seen if they exclusively come from the second world or the first world. I'm not really too sure about that. I mean, you know, most likely they are just coming from the second world since that's what they pertain to the most. But sometimes they say things and the way that they act.

[00:05:01]>> The way they say, let me tell you, they seem like an old person, man.

[00:05:05]>> Like even older than Void Century, they just say weird things. Um, especially the way that they're talking about the need hog more so like when they refer to the knee hog in the latest chapter, it's not like the knee hog user. It's like they're talking about the knee hog like the actual dragon being itself like before it became a devil fruit. I could be wrong. Oh yeah. And then he talked about Ragnar's multiple masters. Like, oh, your synergy was always great. I see you finally found another master. It's like, oh, okay. Like, yeah, he he's seen like iterations of Ragnar and Nithog in the past. So, it's like, yeah, like the more we get from Emu, the more I'm starting to believe that he was there in the void century. Or maybe not Emu himself, but the devil fruit. The devil's fruit could have been big in the first world. Emu eats it in the second world and then he gets all the memories and, you know, he perfectly attaches with this devil's fruit. And I wonder if like Luffy or anybody else is going to do that, too, where, you know, eventually, for example, Luffy just is so in tune with the sun god Nika fruit that it gets Nika's memories from the first world.

[00:06:01]>> I would be down with that because then Luffy would know things, things that he would actually care about. But it's interesting that you say that because there was like another theory that's going around to where emu like lost themselves to the fruit which you know Vega Punk talked about just the fruit could take over them or whatever and you know it's not confirmed that emu has a zone or whatever. It kind of seems like it's like its own thing, but still that could still be the case. Like they just lost themselves to the fruit and the fruit existed or the concept of it came from the first world because you know we're talking about these gods are just these powerful beings that existed in the first world and then they eventually became devil fruits or weapons or something else. So I think that would be interesting too.

[00:06:40]>> Yeah. My only problem is I think emu would lose some aura if he got taken over by a devil fruit. I know that sounds stupid but I kind of hope that emu and the devil's fruit are working hand in hand. So like they both have like a part to play in it. Like Yugi and Am where Yugi and ATM they they work towards a a common goal but yeah like during battles Am takes over you know Emu and uh the devil's fruit they work hand in hand. When Emu has to fight boom hey devil I need you to fight this guy for me. And then back to the political stuff. Emu you take care of this one.

[00:07:07]Like I like to imagine they're buddies.

[00:07:09]Yeah it seems more likely that that is the case because Emu still does call themselves Moo and stuff like that. So, there's more credence to that, I guess, than just he completely lost himself to the devil. But yeah, I wanted to just know what you guys think about the gods.

[00:07:24]Is there more than seven or is these just like these seven powerful gods that existed in the first world? Maybe Emu is one of them, the eighth one, the devil itself rather than a god because he says, and I'm paraphrasing to Loki, you know, what's the difference between a god and a devil or whatever, but maybe he was amongst them.
