Ha Ha Tonka Castle Ruins, located in Camdenton, Missouri along Lake of the Ozarks, was originally constructed by Kansas City businessman Robert Snyder who began building the castle in 1905; after Snyder's tragic death in a car accident in 1906, his sons completed the castle in 1922, but it burned down in 1942, and the property was later purchased by the state of Missouri in 1978 to become a state park preserving the castle ruins for public viewing.

Today, we are heading down [music] to Lake of the Ozarks, the beautiful Lake of the Ozarks. And in true Hitch 4 Life [music] fashion, it's going to rain this weekend.
But, that's okay. Don't let that stop [music] you. You got to get out and you got to have fun. Because even though it's wet, you can still do the same things. It's just not as pretty with sunshine, but you can still get out and have a good time.
If anything you take away from this, get out there and [music] have fun no matter what the situation is. But, we appreciate you guys coming back.
Let's get to this video.
Good pups.
>> What's our damage today?

>> Did you guys wake up from your nap?
Did you wake up?
>> When we're on [music] the road, folks, we really enjoy to eat healthy.
Everything's healthy.
We're health nuts.
And today, McDonald's >> [music] >> chicken nuggets.
>> Brighter [singing and music] are on their way.
Forever's [music and singing] how long they'll stay.
Brighter [music] days [singing] are on their way.
Chasing sunsets [music and singing] in the sky.
Won't let these moments [music] pass us by. [singing] Take my [music] hand, don't be afraid.
You brighter >> [singing] >> days are on their [music] way.
>> [music] [music] [music] [music] >> Brighter [music] days [singing] are on their way.
Forever's how long >> [music and singing] >> And stay.
>> Good morning, folks. It's the next day and we are we're waking up and having us a little bit of breakfast and we're going to go out on this rainy day, but don't let that stop you because a rainy day you can do something on just as well as any other day. You're just going to be a little more wet.
When life hands you lemons, make something.
Something, I don't know. Lemonade, something.
>> But not coffee cuz we forgot our coffee today.
>> Yeah. No coffee today, folks. So, the cops might end up here.
>> [music] >> Look at that bacon, folks, right in the air fryer.
>> Yeah, that was actually a suggestion by someone on one of our videos. So, we got an air fryer and decided to try it out.
It actually looks [music] really good.
>> Grandma's looking down from heaven and saying, "What the hell is going on here?"
>> [laughter] >> Wally, would you like some bacon?
Tucker wants some bacon.
Don't you remember I told you I loved you, baby?
Baby, baby, baby, baby, oh baby.
I like a little pancakes [music] with my syrup, folks.
Awesome.
>> Does that make up for not having coffee?
[music] >> Now you went too far.
And the bacon, extra crispy in the air fryer.
>> You like it better that way?
>> Actually, it's pretty good.
>> It was pretty good.
>> Daddy like it.
>> [music] >> What do you think about your own cooking?
>> Not too shabby, actually.
>> [music] >> Taste like a funnel cake.
>> Rainy days and Mondays always get me down.
Just kidding, folks. It's going to be a great day. Stay positive.
Just kidding, folks.
I wasn't sleeping. I've got the energy of a 13-year-old at his first PG-13 movie.
>> Uh-oh.
>> We're going out of here.
All right, you guys. Just want to let you know that in good fashion, I watched them old videos and I know you have too.
And they were grainy and some of the audio quality was a little off. Well, I've been using an old Android phone.
What do I look like? Stevie Spielberg or something?
Well, the call was answered and what I did for you.
I went out and bought the gimbal.
Hallelujah.
New microphones.
And for that cinematic shot, I went ahead and got the Insta360.
You're welcome, folks.
And yes, I filmed everything that you've seen from here before on my old Android phone.
Good start, folks.
>> [music] >> Remember that positive thing I was talking about, everybody?
I'm still trying.
>> [music] >> It's a good thing we brought our paddle boards.
>> [music] >> Ready for a bike ride, babe?
>> [music] >> What's that?
>> Did you remember to bring your rain coats?
>> Uh I think we're going to need a big tarp.
Look at that beautiful waterfall.
The one thing that is bad about this is that I don't have any internet service, so I can't even check the weather.
Last night we went to a Sam's Club an hour away because we called them and they said they had five Starlinks. We drove all the way there, $5 a gallon, >> [music] >> and when we got there, she said, "We can't find it."
Good times, folks.
Russian race horse.
>> [music] >> Remember that movie A River Runs Through It?
Time to take the trash out, folks. I'm just the guy to do it.
>> [music] >> We had a major downpour.
Look at all that water coming across [music] there. My shoes all wet.
>> [music] >> Woah.
It's wet. like the outhouse on a submarine.
It's coming again, folks.
>> Look at all this water.
>> I like a good old summertime thunderstorm though.
Pretty awesome.
All right, guys. We made it out today even though the rain was coming through, but uh it's turned out to pass us on over here. And uh today we're going to be visiting Ha Ha Tonka.
See if it's worth all the hype. Stay tuned.
>> [music] >> All right, everybody. So, we're [music] out here at Ha Ha Tonka Castle, which is in Camdenton, Missouri. This is a state park [music] here right just probably 15 minutes away from Osage Beach.
>> It's been raining so [music] much that usually the water is really aqua blue down there, but since [clears throat] all the rain run off and >> [music] >> mud coming down on the hills and everything, it's kind of clouded it up.
We'll have to come back here on the time [music] when it's really sunny out and it all settles down.
>> It's kind of cool the mist over the [music] trees over there. Almost looks like a rainforest out here.
>> It's beautiful area. [music] >> Oh, show them this castle.
>> There's so many trails around here. I'd like to take some of them, but it's so rainy. Should we get a break from the rain? That's what we need. [music] Check out that view, man. That is something straight out of like Dracula or something, isn't it?
>> Yeah, it has [music] like some melodramatic vibes about it.
>> I'll tell you what, you better be faster than me if I see a vampire pop out of that thing.
>> Okay, so the story behind this castle is it all started with a Kansas City businessman, Robert Snyder. Robert Snyder purchased 2,500 acres of property out here and in 1905 is when he started construction on this castle and very tragically in 1906, Mr. Snyder was actually killed in a car accident.
He was killed in one of the first recorded car accidents in history. So, he was only able to see part of his dream come to life out here, but his two sons, they continued to bring this castle to life.
And in 1922 is when they were able to finish building the castle out here.
So, sadly another tragedy occurred in 1942 is when this castle actually caught fire and burned.
And then, so we're going to take you guys over to the water tower here in just a second to show you that as well.
Years later in the 1970s, the water tower actually burned also and in 1978 is when the state of Missouri purchased this property and turned it into a state park.
So, that people could come out here and see the castle ruins.
>> [music] [music] [music] [music] >> No, no, no.
>> [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] >> As we wrap up this tour of one of Missouri's oldest [music] castle ruins, what if we told you there's another castle nearby?
>> [music] >> Except this one isn't a ruin. It's a massive modern-day masterpiece currently under construction.
>> [music] >> Perched high above mile marker 19 with views of the lake that are nothing short of spectacular.
And today, [music] our friends are giving us an exclusive look inside.
Let's go check [music] it out.
We have some friends at the Lake of the Ozarks who [music] are building an absolutely amazing real-life castle.
It's a house like I've [music] never seen anything like it before, and this house is built on prime property [music] on the Lake of the Ozarks. So, we're going to take you guys inside and give you a sneak peek.
This house is [music] uh soon going to be available for rent.
The house features multiple levels of living space which [music] are connected by two spiral staircases. It features two full [music] kitchens, a fitness center, multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, and this house [music] is stunningly decorated.
There's a theater room, a grand bar for entertaining, an outdoor [music] kitchen featuring a fireplace, drop-down TVs, and there's an absolutely amazing grand staircase overlooking the [music] lake.
I could just envision a beautiful wedding happening right there at that staircase. [music] There's a luxury resort-style swimming pool, a pool [music] house, pickleball court, putting green, boat slips, and of course [music] priceless views of the prime lakefront property.
This luxury living home will be available for rent for corporate retreats, lavish weekend getaways, >> [music] >> and even private waterfront weddings.
If you'd like [music] a chance to live like a queen, keep your eye out for Stone House 19 coming soon to an Airbnb near you.
Now, [music] back to camping.
>> It ended up turning out to be a really, really nice day. Started off rainy and it said it was supposed to rain all day long, but it didn't rain all day long.
It was pretty awesome out. The sun's out.
There's still some clouds hanging around, but what a good time. See, that's what I was talking about earlier.
Don't stay at home because you think it's going to rain. Even if it does, you're still having more fun [music] than you are just sitting at the house.
So, get out there. It could turn the weather on you and turn out nice like it was here.
And that's pretty awesome. We thank you guys for coming along. We hope [music] you liked Haha Tonka.
Pretty awesome place there.
And we need you guys to help us get to 1,000 subscribers. So [music] if you could do us a favor and if you like this video, hit the like button and subscribe [music] with us and come along this journey. We appreciate everything you guys do for us and we'll see you next time.
