What is a line?追加:
Do you remember the first thing you wrote as a child?
It probably wasn't letters or words. It was scribbles and random mark-like lines. And most of you went as far as writing on the wall and got punished for doing it.
But even then, you were already using the most powerful element of art, line.
What is a line?
A line is a point moving in space. They help determine the motion and direction of every work of art, and we see them in our daily [music] lives. There are various types of lines. Number one, we have actual lines. These are physical lines that are clearly visible in a painting or drawing. Next, implied lines. These are lines we see with our mind's eye, even though they're actually not drawn.
We have straight or classical lines.
These provide structure to a composition. They may be vertical, horizontal, diagonal, zigzag, or curved.
And lastly, we have expressive lines.
These are mostly curved lines that add an organized, emotional, and dynamic character to a work of art. So, you see, in conclusion, lines are the foundation of everything [music] we create.
