Euphoria Season 3 - What Went Wrong? (Review/Rant)

[00:00:00]What's up everyone? It's Benedict here aka BHL Hudson. Welcome back to the BHL 2 channel. Today we are talking about Euphoria season 3 in its entirety. I've been making videos about the season throughout when the premiere happened, when controversial crazy moments are happening. Uh now the show has finally wrapped up. We're going to be talking about the entire season, uh going through episode by episode, going through my in-depth notes. It's going to be interesting. Um yeah, to recap, I am a Euphoria enjoyer. I thought the first season was pretty cool, very vibey, quite interesting. The characters were interesting. Season 2 was pretty ridiculous, but still pretty wellm made and also had a fun like drama vibe to it. Kind of reality TV vibe to it where you could watch with people and talk about it and be like, "Oh, can you believe that happened when Cassie yelled at her or whatever." Euphoria season 3 very mixed bag. Uh, I would say overall bad, kind of very not kind of interesting, very interesting. Lots to talk about. Um, gave me great conversation with, you know, friends.

[00:00:54]But um I don't know in terms of following up the first two seasons, odd directions, odd choices made. Some of it was just straight up bad. Some of it was kind of good. Let's talk about it. First of all, episode one, we're going to go episode by episode here. Spoilers for the whole show. I got my notes here.

[00:01:08]It's going to be good. Um where we start with these characters, I wasn't a big fan of in general. This is like where the season goes in its entirety. I wasn't crazy about what they did with the characters based on where we left them in season 2. I think a lot of these were kind of the lamest, laziest direction you could have gone here. Um, and otherwise, I also think Sam Levenson's obsession with doing this western Tarantino style thing for season 3 with Ru and drug cartels and all this sort of stuff was just a misstep. I'm going to say that I think Euphoria, the least interesting parts of Euphoria were the like drug lord drama. Like I like the fee story line, but when Rue was getting mixed up with Lorie in season 2, the novelty of it was interesting. thing I was like, "Oh [ __ ] this is pretty crazy real world stuff in this high school, you know, show." But it wasn't like why I was there for the show and to take the show in that direction in such a major way, I think was a big mistake.

[00:01:57]Um, I think Euphoria season 3 should have committed more to the entertainment industry aspect of it that clearly also Sam Levenson had a lot to say about and wanted to satarize between, you know, Cassie doing Only Fans, the influencer space, uh, Lexi and Maddie and Hollywood and this kind of stuff. I feel like this was the move to go with because the Hollywood entertainment industry bubble still has, you know, it's the perfect ground for this Euphoria style dramatic fights and drugs and sex and whatever.

[00:02:27]You can have like all the stuff that was in Euphoria that made it, you know, so dramatic and compelling and kind of crazy and fun to talk about while not having to do this like just Tarantino light breaking bad light, you know, kind of ripoff show that wasn't terrible but just wasn't very interesting. I feel like by doing it this these two different ways, you kind of lost the appeal of both of them. You couldn't make a super compelling drug drama show and you couldn't make that fun of a like entertainment industry satire. Um, but anyway, in terms of like where the characters ended up, I think Rue being a drugged mule/part of this Tarantino world, I don't know, wasn't very interesting just cuz that storyline wasn't all that compelling. Uh, I think Cassie and Nate ended up just being goofy caricatures. I think a lot of the characters ended up being goofy caricatures of themselves. Like Cassie starts Only Fans. Nate is just a washed up loser who's just getting beaten up and killed throughout the show. Like he there was Nate Jacobs, man. I'm not saying he was the most like developed character of all time, but he had there was so much more interesting to these characters earlier on. And to reduce them to like, yeah, Nate Jacobs is just getting beat up by Armenians and like that's his that's his thing. Like there was stuff about Nate Jacob's sexuality earlier on the show. Just, you know, none of that here. Cassie I feel like had more to her than just being they're just both like pathetic morons in this season basically. And I know part of that is sort of satirical, but um I don't know. It was just like it just felt like a lame way to to have these characters go. Like also Jules I feel like what what was Jules doing the season? Maybe the most interesting character of the show previously. Uh you know I recently watched for the first time that uh special episode. But I'd missed out on those special episodes, I guess, where Jules was talking to her therapist. And like that's a really compelling, you know, well written, wellacted. She was an interesting character. And like what is Jules now?

[00:04:10]The fact that Jules is just a sugar baby again feels like kind of the laziest way to or just like the lamest first thought that comes into your mind if you're sort of edgy Sam Levenson. Like okay, Jules was, you know, having sex with older men in high school. Where does she end up when she's an adult? She's a sugar baby with older men. Okay, sure. And it's like, really, is that the most interesting thing you could do? And by the way, if you do that story line, I feel like you could have done more with it that was more compelling than, you know, Jules is a sugar baby and she also likes to do art sometimes and she's like fighting with Ru and that's it basically. Um, I think Maddie is the best character in the season by far. I think Alexa, Demiy's charisma carries a lot of those scenes. I think she's giving the best performance in the show uh at this point. And I think her character just had like I don't know just the more most interesting scenes. I guess I was most entertained when her like Hollywood agent stuff and then the stuff with Alamo was kind of interesting towards the end. Uh Lexi working in Hollywood that was kind of interesting but again the show being so all over the place I feel like we don't get much time with these individual sort of to flesh out either the satire or the characters or whatever but anyway episode one more specifically um little moments that were good or bad. I think Rue getting over the border that scene with the car at the start that was pretty good. That reminded me a bit of Better Call in a good way just in terms of like the film making and this like you know zeroing in on this kind of interesting unique scenario that no one watching the show is you know probably going to find themselves in. Um I thought that was a well done scene. I will say though immediately this does not look like Euphoria before which I know is intentional and it's still shot pretty well throughout but I do miss like you know some of the darker you know moodier labyrinth scored uh Euphoria vibes. This is just like not a vibe, not at all as vibe a show. Um, and speaking of which, kind of ruining the vibes, the gross out stuff here, the drug mule stuff where people are swallowing drugs and [ __ ] and whatnot. It just felt a little bit like Sam Levenson trying too hard to be like, whoa, isn't this crazy? Isn't it crazy if I do some like really gross stuff where people are [ __ ] and it's like I don't know, does throughout this I was wondering, does Sam Levenson have a bit of a disdain for like the main Euphoria fan base? I feel like Sam Levenson wants to be like a really cool Tarantino type and Euphoria is you know mostly watched by like you know I would have it a guess here female uh teenage Twitter and like letterboxed users like that demographic um and and me I guess but like it it feels almost like he's like oh yeah you liked the show when it was you know moody about like teenage drama and high school and sexuality and this kind of stuff but what if it was drugs and people were [ __ ] everywhere and it's kind of you know later on it's like what if it was violence and Nate Jacobs is buried alive in a coffin and there I don't know I'm not saying this definitively but it does feel like there's a little bit of a kind of like [ __ ] you for liking what this show was previously I'm going to do my own thing I'm Sam Levenson now and it's like okay bro um anyway I did not enjoy that particularly uh Coen Domingo is always good like seeing him here Nate and Cassie scenes are kind of entertaining but especially in this episode they are so bad at acting when they're doing the doggy in the window bit it's like a [ __ ] I mean it's like embarrassing how bad they are throughout there are moments where they're good Um, especially I will give Sydney Sweeney this. I don't particularly care for Sydney Sweeney. She is good at like a certain thing with her acting um that she gets to do in this show. Mostly when she's like hysterical or crying or screaming, she's pretty good at that.

[00:07:27]Um, but when she has to like do an actual scene and like convey sort of believable emotions when it's not like Yeah. hysterical screaming, she's not very good. And man, Jacob Allerty, I'm sorry, man. Jacob Allerty might be like the biggest acting fraud in Hollywood right now. He was good in Frankenstein.

[00:07:44]I guess where he was, you know, the monster, but like Weathering Heights, he was awful, like atrocious in this. He's pretty bad throughout. I remember him being decent in Euphoria previously, but I don't know what's happened, man. I am I'm not on the Jacob Lordy bandwagon. I do not think he's a very good actor. Or maybe he just didn't give a [ __ ] about those two things and he was bad in them.

[00:08:04]But also, I don't know. It's your job to be an actor. Like, that's not a great excuse. Uh, and then we get Alamo, who I'll just say throughout the show, I think he's well acted. Like I think the actor is, you know, trying, but uh the storyline and the dialogue he's given is just so kind of like tryh hard and cringy that it just I don't know. It comes off like it's he's trying to be so tough and so cool and it just it comes off as kind of lame. But um I don't really think that's the actor's fault.

[00:08:28]We move on to episode two. Ru is now working at Alamo's strip club. Uh there are rival mob drug dealings and drama with the strippers and whatever. And it's not like terribly done. It's just not very interesting. I'm not really into this. I'm more waiting for like the other plot lines to kick in, which is sort of a shame when you're watching a show. Um, yeah. Also, I will say again, I'm I don't know anything about Sam Levenson really. So, I'm I maybe like, you know, I have ideas of him based on this show, but it does just he he seems like the kind of guy who also said this in a strip club because he's like, wouldn't it be [ __ ] cool if it was in a strip club and there were naked women everywhere? I don't think it's ridiculous to say that Sam Lemonson clearly thinks that nudity in his stuff is, you know, provocative and interesting. And it does just feel like this is in a strip club because it's like because then we could have boobs everywhere all the time and it's like okay like great congratulations. Like it's just not a very interesting plotline in my opinion. Uh and again feels like it's trying too hard. The angel bit with Ru is kind of interesting but then I also sort of like forgot about it until it's mentioned later on.

[00:09:26]I'm like oh yeah that was a thing earlier. Um, I wouldn't have minded to have a bit more in Ru's character and less on this drug plotline. Cuz most of the stuff with Ru, the time we spend with Ru in this season is to do with this Alamo, you know, Lori drug war. And I would have appreciated if there was like a little more stuff with Ru. Like there's a bit in this, I think, where she calls her mom in this episode. And I kind of I don't know, more of her character. She was a again, these characters were compelling. And it feels like they are more like paper thin. like Ru is just mostly in the background of this crazy drug war and doing her big faces, her pouty big confused faces, which we'll talk about. I did not care too much for Zenaia's acting in some of this. Um, but yeah, I would have liked a little more of Ru's character. Uh, in the strip club though, I think Rosalia, this singer who I'm like vaguely familiar with. I think she's pretty good in this. I think she she does well with her acting here. Uh, Maddie meeting Cassie was fun. Again, this is more of the interesting stuff of the show. I'm like, okay, finally we're away from this Alamo, you know, be Tarantino plot. But I also I do feel like we could have gotten more out of their dynamic. Like we kind of get, you know, Mattie's manipulating her a little bit. Cassie's very easily manipulated, but like I don't know to what end really. Like these were best friends in high school.

[00:10:32]They had this huge falling out. Now they're working in a similar industry.

[00:10:35]They have to work together. Um or they want to work together. And I just feel like you could have done something more with that instead of just this vague kind of rivals, kind of friends, kind of at odds with each other. And then they're wrapped up in this Nate gets kidnapped by the Armenians plot. You know what I mean? Like I don't know. I feel like there was more meat on this bone that they could have they could have done something with. Um although interestingly this is when they start making fun of Sydney Sweeney in the show cuz at this point in the show Cassie is basically just like a vapid idiot who is using her sexuality to make money off of like gooner idiots. Um which is what someone who is very harsh harshly critiquing Sydney Sweeney might say is part of her career trajectory, part of her strategy. Um, and it's interesting that yeah, we sort of start out with that and then later on we get even more specific with like the culture war rage bait kind of thing. And um, I don't know, again, I made a whole video talking about this, the is it Sydney Sweeney satire? Is it interesting that she's kind of sat satarizing herself?

[00:11:30]Does it kind of make it worse? Uh, we'll talk about that, but yeah, I did make a video about it. Um, although yeah, again, this episode we do have some more nude Sydney Sweeney. And again, the show is like satarizing, you know, the degrading stuff people do for porn money and what like people on the internet will pay for, you know, the kind of only fans content. And another show maybe could have gotten away with being like, but we have to show her doing it to like, you know, properly convey it and sadize it. But because it's euphoria, it also just feels like, yeah, you're just indulging in the thing that you're being like, whoa, can you believe like people do this? And by the way, also here's Sydney Sweeney and all these Only Fans, you know, positions. Um, but they do that more later on as well. So we'll we'll talk about that more. By the way, something just on this season in general that people complained about the Han Zimmer music. I didn't mind it. It's not Labyrinth. Um, and I know people were like missing that kind of viby music like that, but it's a different show.

[00:12:17]So, I feel like for what the show is now, Han Zimmer did fine. It would be kind of weird if like it was this show, it looked like this and it had these plot lines, then it also still had the labyrinth music. It just would feel kind of kind of off. So, I didn't I didn't mind the Han Zimmer music. People were really mad in the next episode about the under the sea style uh music for the wedding when Maddiey's walking up. I don't know. I thought it was I thought it was fine. It is what it is. Um also I've just written here Jules used to be one of the most interesting characters.

[00:12:42]Now she just shows up like a Marvel cameo. To be fair, she has like more backstory in the next episode, but again just not not very interesting. And on that note, let's talk about the next episode. Episode 3, the wedding episode.

[00:12:52]I think the best episode of the season.

[00:12:54]Although I am recording this bit before the finale has come out, so maybe the finale is amazing. But before we get to the wedding, we do get some Jules backstory here. Um, but again, like Cassie and Rue, just the least creative, interesting direction you could have taken her. Like, okay, she's now, you know, a sugar baby for like rich older men. Okay. Like, I don't know. It feels kind of degrading for that character that I feel like had more to her before this. Um, she still does art and stuff as well, I guess. But, um, and I guess they address it. You know, Rue talks to her about it, but I don't know. I feel like we could have gotten something a little bit more interesting. Um, in general, the show is well shot, well made, shot and edited throughout. I feel like I should note that. Um, and then we get this wedding episode which did this was like, I don't know, this felt like proper euphoria. This had a sort of event feel to it. First of all, we get the whole cast together for an episode which just production wise here feels like a rarity. I've heard, you know, rumors of either people scheduling contracts, they don't want to be in the show, they don't want to act across from other actors they don't like anymore, whatever. I don't know what the reason is, but this show definitely feels like I've talked about before choppy feeling like they had to shoot around people and you know Nate is like alone for 90% of this [ __ ] season basically. Um, so this is where we had everyone together that was kind of interesting and it had the fun Euphoria like drama vibe to it.

[00:14:06]There was, you know, yeah, over the top dramatic uh things going on, people crying and crashing out and stuff. It had the outfits, you know, the Euphoria fashion I feel like is a big part of the what people liked about the show, which again disappears with a lot of this drug plot. Um, although I will say I don't know anything about fashion, whatever, but the outfits that Jules and Maddie wear to a wedding is just very funny that like he would wear this to a wedding. Only in the Euphoria verse or maybe that's what people are doing in LA. I don't know. But yeah, with the characters being together, we get some interesting character drama and interactions here. Maddie being sad about the wedding. Jules talking to Eric Dayne. Rest in peace, by the way. It's cool to see him here. Um, yeah, Nate Jacob's dad. I think Eric Dne does a good job uh in this season. I do think it's kind of funny that yeah, he's just like totally washed. There's some scene of them talking about like, "Dad, you literally like penis" or something, something like, "You're literally so gay, Dad." Or some terrible [ __ ] dialogue with again, Jacob Lordy acts poorly. Um, but I think he he pulls off Eric Day in this like comically washed uh Nate Jacob's dad. And if there's any character who should be comically washed, I suppose it is Nate Nate Jacob's dad. Um, yeah, I think some of the comedy, the satire worked here more so than in other uh in other episodes.

[00:15:13]like the wedding is just like tacky and shitty and they do this like horrible cringy dance like that was pretty funny and again it felt like I was laughing with the show not at the show. Uh the whole thing being this messy drama Cassie crying you know it's it it was fun. It wasn't this unpleasant, you know, kind of boring drug drama show. It was this this felt like euphoria and we get some of Sydney Sweeny's better acting here again when she's crashing out when she's distressed and dramatic the bit in this where she goes like what does it have to do with me? She's pretty she's pretty good at that. I'll give her that. Um, and I think Ally maybe has some moments where he's decent, but again, I I just I think he's generally bad in this season. Uh, but then the ending where Nate Jacobs gets beat up by the Armenians and gets his toe cut off and Cassie's crying and, you know, all this kind of stuff. That was a great scene. That was funny. The way it was framed was funny when Cassy's crying and he's crawling up the stairs in the background. It was also novel at this point. I feel like this Armenian subplot just gets repetitive and boring as the show goes. Um, but at this point it was kind of shocking like holy [ __ ] they're you know cutting his toe off and all this kind of stuff. And um I don't know that was like a that was a moment that that felt like there still has like some of that excess where like the blood spurting out again. It feels like Sam Levenson's kind of like oh you like uh the show about you know teenage drama.

[00:16:25]What if there was blood squirting out of Nate Jacob's foot or whatever? And it's like okay I don't know if we needed all this gross out stuff. But I think in general this was a good um a good scene in a good episode. I will say though, again, just to reiterate, this does not feel like Euphoria. Like this episode felt more like Euphoria, but in general in this season, uh not just the tone of the show and the style, but also just these characters, they don't feel like the same characters. They feel like caricatures. They feel more one-dimensional. Um they I see like Sydney Sweeney, I see Jacob Allorti. I see Zenaia as Ru. I don't really I mean, Zadea is fine as Ru, but like I don't know. I don't I'm not like as into the characters. It's more like Euphoria, the spectacle of like what are they doing in season 3 than like I'm really invested in the show, I guess, if that makes sense. Uh again though, I feel like the exception is Alexa Demi as Maddie. She's doing she's doing well here. I feel like uh we move on to episode 4.

[00:17:14]Um yeah, this is I don't know. This is a little bit where there's not a specific episode I would say this for, but in general, I just have this note for the season that it did feel a little flat or like stuck. like it felt like we were sort of going kind of in the same place a bit with either this drug plotline or like what the other charact you know Nate with the Armenians Cassie doing only fans it felt like we were just kind of like statically in the same place and there's like gradual movement but it didn't feel like it had a lot of momentum that Euphoria is a show that's always had like crazy momentum crazy plot happening but there was just a point where I was like okay yeah that was that was an episode of Euphoria but anyway in this episode to be fair a dramatic moment we get Ru starting to work for the DEA that's an interesting direction for the plot to go at least um adds a little bit of a wrinkle to this Alamo story line. We get the jewels painting drama which really pissed me off. This is like this pissed me off more than most things in this season.

[00:18:05]This was so stupid. Again, I like the Hollywood entertainment world aspect of the show. But um in this episode, Lexi hires Jules as a friend, you know, as like a nice favor, basically as like a to help her out to do a painting for this like network television show. And Jules paints like an incredibly graphic penisfilled painting and then the network is not happy about it and then Jules is mad that they like don't like her art or something and she ruins the painting at the end. This was just so stupid. I'm like is Jules an idiot? Does Jules like understand anything about you know like I feel like anyone would know if you're given this opportunity. It's for a network television show. You wouldn't draw like a pornographic penisy I know it's it's still artistic and everything but like you know you can't have that like on a network TV show.

[00:18:49]you'd maybe ask about it. I know. And then it wasn't even I thought maybe like, okay, did she do this like to make a point? But then she was like indignant when they didn't like it. I just felt like that was like so stupid and forced and like is Jules that oblivious and dumb? It kind of honestly it kind of felt like transphobic of like what would the trans character paint on the paint?

[00:19:08]A bunch of penises. Yes. And you know, I'm like I don't know. That just doesn't feel like something Jules would do. Uh it doesn't feel like something anyone would do. Just like a dumb moment for kind of like cheap drama. Um, yeah. We have the leafblower scene where Cassie's doing some Only Fans photo shoot and we get like the four of them together.

[00:19:23]Rude, Lexi, Jules, and uh, not Jules, uh, Cassie and Maddie. That was kind of cool to see them together again. It felt like very rare that we get these characters together. And I get that they're adults now and living their own lives and they're not going to be, you know, around each other as much as in high school, but like that is the show Euphoria. Like the whole point of the show was that these characters interact with each other and um I don't know maybe like write a different version of the show where they are more their lives are more intertwined or I guess maybe it's to do with the scheduling and whatnot that the actors couldn't be there as much. But again then it's just like why do you do this? Is was it contractual? I don't know. But it was nice to see them together. But it kind of highlighted like why are they not together more in the show? Uh I've just written here I don't really care about this mob strip club stuff. I don't. We get more Cassie only fan stuff which again is sort of like feeling a bit repetitive at this point. And I guess that's why in the next episode they go so hard. It's to sort of keep it interesting in some way. But it's like, okay, we get it. Like Sydney Sweeny's character is doing Only Fans. That is both like kind of a meta commentary and also kind of interesting because Only Fans is a thing in the real world. But it's like now we we know we know about this. Like I don't know. It's not It doesn't feel like they have like that much to get out of it. And again, it's euphoria. Like if it was a different show, it could kind of take a little bit of a moral high ground to do like some satire, but it's euphoria. Like you are I don't know. you're kind of a trashy show. Um, but then again, in a way, maybe that makes it sort of interesting that uh the the metadness there, but um anyway, yeah, and the the robbery scene at the end of this was kind of tense.

[00:20:44]That was like a decent scene, I guess.

[00:20:46]But yeah, overall like a fine episode.

[00:20:47]Kind of some dumb moments. We move on to episode five. I did make a whole video about this on the BHL 2 channel you can check out, but this is where we get the like Sydney Sweeney Cassie Only Fans montage. Um, which again kind of funny and interesting at times. the Sydney Sweeney Godzilla thing that was like kind of a creative way of doing that and you know it was sort of it was so excessive that it was kind of funny like it was so explicit and like over the top that it was kind of funny but at the same time it's also like this is like basically you're just making like pornography here I don't know like there is again it's cuz it's the show Euphoria I would give maybe more a benefit of a doubt to a different show but this is just like this just feels kind of gross like and also on the satire we can talk about this again I guess Sydney Sweeney did sell her own bath water I just realized this I had forgotten about this she did sell like soap that had her bath water in it. So she's like very explicitly done like appeal to the internet gooner community kind of thing.

[00:21:39]Um so there is like yeah these are there are very direct parallels here to what uh Cassie and Sydney Sweeney are doing.

[00:21:45]And then in this episode she goes on these you know culture war podcasts and does this you know right-wing kind of grift thing. Um and again I don't know if this was done before Sydney Sweeney did the jeans thing or after. So, it's either like self-fulfilling prophecy or she's like saterizing herself. But also, I've I've been thinking about this cuz I was asking that video like is this genius? Is it stupid? Is it cool that she's maybe sadderizing herself or is it kind of like worse in that case? And I kind of think it's worse. It kind of reminds me in a a very different way, but like Dakota Johnson when Madame Webb came out, she was like, "Oh yeah, this movie sucks. This movie is terrible."

[00:22:18]She didn't say that exactly, but you know, she had this vibe of like, "This movie sucks." And people were like, "Oh, Dakota Johnson, she's so cool. She knows her movie's trash. She's so honest about it." And I was kind of like, I don't know. That kind of [ __ ] sucks. Like yeah, you made a terrible movie and you were terrible in it and now like you like people are going and spending their money on it. Like that just you get to be a millionaire, you know, low-key Nepo baby actor and you get to be terrible in this movie and then get to be like, "Yeah, and also this movie sucks and then everyone like applauds you." I don't know. That just felt so shitty to me. Uh and here in kind of a similar way, if Sydney Sweeney is like acknowledging like, "Yeah, by the way, I know what I'm doing with, you know, this culture war genes. Am I a white supremacist? He he wink kind of thing. I think that's like even worse. Like the sexuality thing, selling stuff to Gooners or whatever. I don't I don't really care that much. Whatever. It is what it is. But this thing where she did the jeans thing and then they asked her like, "By the way, are you a white supremacist?" And she was like, "I don't really want to talk about that." Like, which to me screamed of like someone told her like, "Hey, let's play into this a little bit." I know later on she apologized or she said something different, but um I don't know that reaction. I just think that's like that was shitty. And then you being like aware of it and satarizing it here, that's also shitty cuz if this was filmed after the jeans thing, then she agreed to do this as like and she must have seen the parallels between her and the culture war jeans bit. And if it was filmed before the jeans thing, then when the jeans thing happened and she gave that response where she's like, I don't really want to talk about it. Couldn't she have maybe thought like, didn't I just film a thing about this, like a satire about this where someone exploits like right-wing culture war kind of stuff for more like personal brand growth and like that was kind of shitty.

[00:23:54]At least I think the show is trying to say like, yeah, it's sort of like shitty that this is the the world, the influencer economy. You do Only Fans and Griff to the rightwing, whatever. Um, I don't know. Anyway, we don't have to talk about this as much, but yeah, again, the show is like kind of making fun of Only Fans, making fun of Gooners and whatnot. And then it's also like making goon material basically like super explicitly and you know yeah we don't have to get into it all again. Um but yeah the show is like kind of wanting to satarize like only fans and like what guys will will watch on the internet and then it's also like and also here's Sydney Sweeney doing all of this like you know licking her own feet and whatever and it's I don't know man just feels kind of you're satizing something and indulging in it doing it at the same time. Um, anyway, not that it's like an anti-ex work show. Uh, like it has a an actual porn star in the cast, but uh it just it wants to poke fun at things and talk about things, but also it is the show Euphoria, and it's kind of trashy in a weird way that might make it more interesting, but also uh yeah, I don't know. Anyway, moving on.

[00:24:47]Maddie and Cassie together, that's fun.

[00:24:49]Uh Alexa Demi again is like carrying the show. Uh Sydney Sweeney is better when she's like crying and erratic, but again, that sort of leads to then like a lot of the show her character is just kind of a [ __ ] like whining [ __ ] Um, I don't know. Yeah, weird paradox. I don't think Sydney Sweeney is like an idiot in real life. Um, but yeah, she's not very good at playing like normal scenes and yeah, she's good at playing these specific kind of Cassie scenes, but then like a lot of Cassie scenes are just her being like kind of an annoying [ __ ] Anyway, um, show wants to be Tarantino so bad with this Alamo plot.

[00:25:20]There's a guy in a bathtub getting chainsawed or whatever. Yeah, we've talked about this. Uh, this Ruin Jewels plot, I don't really get where it's going. Nate getting beat up. feels like they only had him for so much time and just went, "Yeah, let's just have him getting beat up." Like sort of funny, but it loses its edge. Yeah, Nate is just getting pummeled by Armenians this season. And like again, bro had some kind of character earlier on, you know what I mean? Like now his character is just he's pathetic and getting beaten up by lone sharks. Um Alamo meeting Maddie at the end of the episode was interesting. You see the worlds cross over. This is something that, you know, a lot of good shows, Better Call Saul comes to mind where like you have basically two different worlds in the show, the drug world and the lawyer world and then like they cross over and then it's pretty crazy. Obviously, this is not like uh you know, Lo meeting Howard Hamlin type of stuff, but it was kind of interesting. Uh and then Ru gets buried in the sand again. Sort of feels like the show just wants to be like kind of crazy and kind of edgy. Just comes off kind of dumb. Also, is she going to get hit by the mallet at the end? Like, of course not. She's not going to. There was some stupid [ __ ] Variety article when this episode came out where it's like is Ru dead in Euphoria because like it it was a cliffhanger at the end and we didn't see her in the footage for the next. It's like you think they killed Ru at the end of episode five of Euphoria season 3. Come on. Yeah. Also, I got to say this about Zenaia. I generally like Zenaia. Um I don't like Ru's character in this or her acting. Like I don't think she's a bad actor. She has moments where she's really good, but Ru's character is just always like nonchalant slash confused and doing this like face the like like the the I don't know doing something pouty with her lips like you know the rue face and it just gets like I don't know. I know the character is sort of like a little bit checked out and a little bit you know dazed and confused at times but like when that's like your main emotion all the time this like I just I I I didn't I didn't love that. We move on to episode 6. Uh we open with this Alamo backstory which I think is a pretty decent little short film, but I don't really care about this character. Like I think it's well done and it's like a little story about how the mom, you know, takes this guy for his money and then runs off and teaches Almo a lesson about something. I just I don't know. We're in episode six of this season. I didn't really care about this character much before. I think he's kind of a corny, cheesy character. Uh and now you're giving him like a backstory and we're spending time on this and like I don't know. I I just I'm not really like checked into what the show is trying to do with this this plot line. But decently done backstory scene though. Um I think Jules is just deeply unlikable now. I can't even remember what the [ __ ] they're fighting about at this point, her and her and Rue. But that scene where they're fighting, I was just like, damn. I don't know. I I used to like Jules. And not that you can't have a character go from likable to unlikable, but uh this felt more just like I don't know. There's less to this character now. Like I've talked about um scene where Cassie goes off script talking about her life with Nate and it's actually brilliant is dumb. But again, Euphoria in Hollywood was the move.

[00:28:05]Yeah. So Cassie is now acting in the show and they do this like classic scene where the actor starts talking about their real life in the scene and the director's like hold up. Wait a minute.

[00:28:12]Let her let her keep going. Um which was cordy and bad. But also this would the whole show just been like euphoria goes Hollywood. It would have been at least much more interesting and fun. I feel like we could have maximized the stuff here cuz you know I've mentioned that I don't really care about this drug plot.

[00:28:25]I haven't really gotten into the details of it at all because I just don't really care much. It's fine that how it's done, but it's not that interesting. I would have had a lot more to say about the show if we'd gone full Euphoria goes Hollywood and it's kind of corny and silly, but but sort of fun. Um, yeah, Ru's religious journey could be interesting. Not very now. I'm just hating. I feel like, but yeah, I feel like Ru's journey to becoming more Christian and whatnot.

[00:28:49]There's something to that. We've talked about that in Euphoria before. She talks to uh what's his name? Coleman Domingo about this in that diner uh scene. You know, it's a recovering addict sort of recurring theme, finding God and this kind of thing. Sort of interesting. Um yeah, I'll give him that. I think it's a decently interesting direction to go with her character. More of Nate getting beat up and the fire tree visual at the end was a pretty great visual. Yeah, Ru sees a a tree catch fire and it's sort of like a religious symbol to her and um that was like a cool well done moment.

[00:29:17]Um and then finally, actually not finally, we still have the finale after this, but we move on to episode 7.

[00:29:22]Pretty crazy episode. put a lot going on here. I also made a video about this on the BHL 2 channel. Um, but we open the episode with an Ali backstory, the uh the Coleman Domingo character. That was pretty cool. I know some people were like, uh, skip this. And I know I just talked about the Alamo backstory being kind of, you know, superfluous, but this is a character I do kind of care about in the show. I do think he's interesting. I like Coleman Domingo a lot, um, despite his turn in the Michael movie. And yeah, I thought that was like another well done like short film style scene and that was that was like well acted and well well executed. So, um, that was cool. Lexi is not very good at acting. Yeah, Ma App Apato. I just feel like there's not a specific thing from this episode. Um I think I was just taking notes and I like I clicked on a frame and it was just her face in the screen. I was like, "Oh yeah, she's not great." Um I don't want to throw like the Nepo baby accusations out there too hard, but I don't know. I don't think she's she's great at the very least in this season. I don't remember her being like that bad earlier. She's not terrible, but I don't think she's great.

[00:30:14]Uh there's more explicit Sydney Sydney Sweeney sex scenes here. Yeah, it just kind of feels like at this point they're like, "Yeah, sure. Just throw it in there again." And you know, we got to keep people's attention. Throw in Sydney Sweeney naked again. And it's like again, you're making a parody of like Only Fans and stuff, but you're also just like Sydney Sweeny's naked in every scene. I don't know. May maybe there's some like extra meta meta commentary on that or something. I don't know. And I know her character is using her sexuality in that scene and in the show and whatever, but it's just Yeah, it just feels like so like let's throw Sydney Sweeney naked in there one more time. Um, and also I thought it was funny that afterwards she's like covering up with the covers when she's looking at the guy's phone. Um, as if like the whole show hasn't been her naked, basically. Anyway, um, why did Sydney Sweeney not wire any money when she was making it? Yeah, Nate Jacobs ends up in a coffin and dead in this episode because the Armenians don't get their money. Cassie's making money. Why is she not wiring the money? They're like, "Yeah, we didn't get any money from your wife." Why is she not wiring it? Is there some reason in this that I missed? Like, or did she just forget?

[00:31:10]Like, I don't know. Was she just taking her sweet time when the Armenian lone sharks are about to kill your husband?

[00:31:16]Um, I thought the game of telephone where Alamo finds out out about the DEA was so forced feeling and so bad. Rue tells Lexi that she's working with the DEA. Why would you do that? Like, it's cuz she's having this moment where they're talking about religion and Ru seems sort of like she's in a better place or something. She's not on drugs in that scene, right? Am I wrong? I think she's not on drugs in that scene.

[00:31:36]There's no real reason for her to tell Lexi this. Then Lexi tells Maddie, which again, it's like you can kind of believe, but I don't know. It again feels sort of like cuz then Maddie ends up telling Alamo and that felt forced of how she brings up the DEA. Just the way that it gets from Rue to Alamo that she's working for the DEA. I don't know that just felt so like kind of cheap writing kind of forced. And yeah, in this episode Nate is buried alive and killed by a snake in his coffin. And um it just is like just is an unpleasant show uh quite a bit of the time now.

[00:32:06]Like I talked about the grossness in episode one, but I saw a funny Instagram reel where I was like, "What if we made Euphoria really unpleasant to watch?

[00:32:13]What if it was like not fun? What if Yeah, just like the bad the worst things happened to the characters like Yeah. In an attempt to make it sort of feel a bit more edgy, I guess, and like a bit of a different show. Bit of a going in a crazy new direction. The way they've done this. Yeah. Cartel drug gang plot lines and Armenian lone sharks burying you alive. Just Yeah. I don't know. Just kind of grim. Like I'm not like devastated by the death of Nate Jacob's character. I don't really care about these characters anymore, but it's just Yeah. It's just like kind of unpleasant and I don't know, a weird direction for them to take the show Euphoria. Um, final bit where Nate is dead and they're crying and they open the coffin. Feels like a bad crime show and corny. Uh, maybe it's just the way that they're also they're dressed in these like kind of funny, you know, Euphoriaish outfits and then they're opening this coffin and Nate Jacobs and they're dead. It just feels like, I said this before, it feels like in season 1 that bit where Nate Jacobs has like a fantasy of him killing someone who's kidnapping Maddie and it's like he's in an action movie basically and it's, you know, cutaway gag. Like this is how this high school jock thinks in his mind he would defend his girlfriend. Like this feels like a cutaway gag of like what if Nate got involved with lone sharks and then they put him in a coffin and the snake ate him and then snake bit him to death and then they open the coffin and scream and cry. Like it just feels like a gag in season one. It feels like kind of a bad corny like soap opery crime show. I don't know. Just didn't have I didn't feel like emotionally devastated. It was like interesting that like oh [ __ ] they killed Nate Jacobs in this way, but I didn't feel like like how the show wanted me to feel, I guess, which was more like holy [ __ ] this is crazy. I can't believe Nate's dead. It was more just like this is [ __ ] this is a like unpleasant, which I guess they wanted me to feel, but also b kind of [ __ ] dumb. I don't know. This doesn't this in Euphoria is just sort of just sort of a funny end point for it to be like Nate gets buried alive by Armenian lone sharks. Um and there's the final fight with Fay which was kind of tense when Ru and Fay are arguing over the safe and then Fay yells. That was kind of a tense cliffhanger. And then we come to the finale episode 8. I made a video about this yesterday talking about sort of my general thoughts about where the characters end up. But let's talk about sort of specifics for the episode. Um the opening action scene with the lasso.

[00:34:14]Thought that was kind of cool when Ru is running away and the cowboy catches up to her. you know, we get more western stuff from Sam Levenson. Clearly, bro is into westerns, I guess. Um, but that was a, you know, kind of exciting opening. I will say, but I should start actually, did I like the episode?

[00:34:27]Yes, I guess. You know, for this season of Euphoria, this is about where it was probably going to end up. And as a version of, you know, this show that I don't think is that great, where it's gone in this weird drug crime direction, um, I think this was a my maybe as good a finale as you could ask for. Like, it was at least entertaining and exciting.

[00:34:46]I don't like where some of the characters ended up. I think Ru's death, well, we'll get to it. But yeah, overall, ah, I think it was it had its moments while being a little bit uh underwhelming. Uh, I've written here more [ __ ] Yay. I'm glad Sam Lemonson gave us another someone shits their brains out scene in Euphoria.

[00:35:01]There was, you know, a lack of that throughout. I think episode one had that and then we were missing that for a little while. So, I'm glad he brought that back. Uh, resolution of this Lorie stuff. Kind of cool, but takes a while.

[00:35:11]What about the other characters I care about? We're spending so much time on this. Yeah. So Lori and her Nazi gang of drug people, they get busted by the DEA and they're taken in and Lori hangs herself and you know, pretty dramatic uh crazy scene when the cars start coming in and the Han Zimmer score, you know, the police cars and the Han Zimmer score. That was a pretty good moment.

[00:35:28]You know, I think Han Zimmer cooked there a little bit. But then we also do spend a while with this like Nazi guy like am I going to shoot the cops? Am I not? And then he gives himself up and I'm like why are we spending so much time like we're in the last episode bro?

[00:35:39]cuz we get not very much stuff of, you know, Cassie, jewels, even, you know, not as much of Mattie as I would have liked in this episode. Why are we spending so much time on this like Nazi guy like I don't again throughout this thing, I don't really care about this plot line. I care more about the characters that I know from the rest of the show. Um, but anyway, it was a decent enough scene, I guess. We have Ru's death scene. Um, which I talked about in the thing yesterday, but the scene was good. the scene itself where it's like a drug hallucination, you know, death moment, surreal moment where she's going to get Fez and then she ends up, you know, with her mom and um it's quite like a beautiful moment and it gets sort of progressively a little bit more surreal. You can kind of feel something's off about it. Um and then yeah, she's dead. I think that was that was a good scene. That was a good way of doing that death. Her dying in itself, I like I said, it makes sense that, you know, that's like a possibility for her character. Do you think like if the show has, you know, a bit of a darker sad ending, it could end with Ru overdosing?

[00:36:32]If you told someone that in season one, they'd probably be like, "Oh, yeah, it's going to end with her oding." Ah, that makes sense. That's going to be sad.

[00:36:38]But, uh, I don't know. I guess that's the direction the show is going to go. I kind of I I kind of would have liked a little bit of like a more hopeful thing.

[00:36:44]Like, you actually can be a teenager addicted to drugs and then get out of it and like have something a little bit nicer and inspiring. Isn't this based on Sam Lemonson? Am I making that up?

[00:36:53]Didn't Sam Lemonson have like drug problems as a teenager and then that's like how he came up with the show or something? Cuz he made it out, didn't he? Like I don't know. There could be something a little inspiring there. But it's their show. They're writing it.

[00:37:04]Whatever. Um but yeah, the death itself was a bit anticlimactic. Just like she sort of dies halfway through the episode and um like I said before, I don't really mind that specifically. Like I think it's that's it's meant to be understated. It's in this show season now that's had, you know, shootouts and whatnot and gangsters and everything.

[00:37:21]It's meant to be like and she just, you know, overdoses on fentinel on the couch. Um, and it's sort of a sad quiet moment, but I think more so it's just like the show, the death doesn't feel that personal to the character itself.

[00:37:32]It feels more like uh we're like moving forward now to get to the Ali goes and shoots up the strip club scene. Like it felt less like it's like this beautiful like we resolve, you know, for good or for bad. This is the end of Ru's character. Um, it felt more like it's like and this is a plot thing in the final episode. Zenaia's out now. We're now moving on to the bit where we go to the strip club and have a shootout. I don't know. It just felt a little bit yeah underwhelming, antilimactic for like the main character of the show. Um anyway, that's my that's my thought on that. Ali is John Wick kind of goofy.

[00:38:05]His like suitup scene. I've had enough of this [ __ ] type moment. Yeah, like this is when we get into the actual shootout. I thought this it was a pretty cool scene, I guess. But when Ali, this character throughout who's been, you know, helping Ru and preaching about religion and, you know, forgiveness, whatever, and then not just like a a character like that becoming like John Wick, basically, but a character like that, uh, like a realistic character like that becoming this Euphoria season 3 version of a character where it's like, I'm going to go [ __ ] shoot someone. I don't know. It's just kind of corny. Like he's in the AA meeting and he's like, sometimes, you know, talking doesn't do it or whatever he says. And then he cuts to him sawing off the top of a shotgun. I'm like, bro, what what are we what are we doing here? Um, by the way, also, is there supposed to be some political commentary in this uh about like the 2024 election? And I don't know. Well, actually, let's talk about that at the end cuz the final shot uh there's some sort of interesting ways of interpreting that, I guess. But yeah, we get the big uh final battle, final fight scene. Very, like I said, very Tarantino. Um, it is cool in a vacuum.

[00:39:04]Like, it is a cool scene. I think it's well done. Coleman Domingo is pretty badass. Alamo Brown is a good villain.

[00:39:09]and they have a shootout and there's a betrayal from Alma Brown's henchmen. Was that set up by the way? I don't Was that like redemption moment for the henchmen set up? I don't know. Has he Maybe I haven't been paying close enough attention. Was he like Are there little moments where he's eyeing Alma Brown?

[00:39:21]He's like I don't approve of this.

[00:39:22]Whatever. Cuz I noticed that in this episode with like Maddie and that kind of stuff, but has he been like a more sympathetic character? I thought he was just kind of like a little bit of a quirky henchman, I guess. But anyway, he has his like betrayal moment. Um, but yeah, like yeah, it's a cool scene, but then it's Euphoria and you have it ends with Ali going into a strip club and being like, "This is for real." And he blasts someone with a [ __ ] shotgun after they do like a western standoff and I don't know, kind of kind of feels like bad fanfic a little bit. But um, the scene itself was executed well. I would, you know what, I would be interested in watching a Sam Levenson like actual crime movie, western movie, gangster movie, something like I just make whatever Tarantino type movie you want to make. And like it could probably it's not going to be as good as a Tarantino movie, I would imagine, but like it could be kind of cool. Just like why did you do this with Euphoria, bro?

[00:40:08]Why is this how Euphoria ends? This is so goofy. Um, but anyway, yeah, Coleman Domingo, like I said, he he's great in this episode, his bit at the end where he sees Ru at the end of the table, his acting when Ru dies, he's great in the show in general. Coleman Domingo is one of the goats of our like modern times I feel like of acting if you put aside the Michael movie which I have beef with.

[00:40:29]But um I think he's great here and he makes you know an ending that is still goofy. It could have been a lot goofier if Coleman Domingo isn't as good um and kind of you know as cool as he is in that scene. So yeah. Uh and then in terms of you know other endings we have so I mentioned this as well just sort of unsatisfying endings to to characters here but Jules is just a sad painter sugar baby. Now, I've just written her, "Wow, what an arc." Uh, Cassie is a sad Only Fans content house creator. Wow.

[00:40:58]Lexi gets into the Bible, I guess. Um, was she in need of saving? Was Lexi someone who needed to like read the Bible and like forgive herself? I know Lexi had some guilt around Ru and they mentioned that like about Ru's death as well, but um, was that like a big I don't know when Lexi's talking about like she got into the Bible and all this sort of stuff. Was that like was she the character who was like going to need the Bible and get into the Bible and that was like her arc? I don't know. seemed like a little bit random that it was her who had this big Bible monologue at the end. Um, by the way, yeah, like I mentioned, the Lexi and Cassie scene is actually horrifically acted like um I don't even not not even like High School play like Ma App has been good in moments. Sydney Sweeney, like I I've said, has been good in moments in the show, but this scene, man, they are awful. Like Ma App, she's like overelling every word and every facial expression. And again, I don't know if she's supposed to be drunk in the scene.

[00:41:49]I think she has like a bottle of wine with her, but it is just like embarrassing. And again, I was just wondering like, how are you being outacted by Sydney Sweeney, bro? How is that possible? How are you in a scene with Sydney Sweeney? And I'm like, you are the worst actor in the scene by like a mile. Um, but yeah, just an awful scene. But yeah, in terms of where their arcs end up, uh, I don't know. Yeah, Maddie, I guess, like I mentioned also in the video yesterday, Maddie gets, you know, fine ending. I guess she's free now. She can go do what she wants now that she's not like tied to Alamo anymore. But yeah, she was basic like they owed Alamo money and it's implied that she was having sex with Alamo, you know, under duress. Uh like basically having to like prostitute herself to Alamo. And it's just so like [ __ ] man. Like that's just I I don't know. I was just kind of happy for the show to be done cuz I was like this is this is awful. I don't want like Nate to be buried alive and killed by a snake and Maddie having to like prostitute herself to gangsters and all this. I'm just like [ __ ] this man. And so yeah, I was just kind of happy that it was it was done cuz it was it was a it was a dark like season sometimes like trying too hard and kind of eye rolling like okay whatever. And sometimes like yeah it was just like this is just unpleasant. I don't I don't like this. I Euphoria has not always been a pleasant show for sure. And it doesn't have to be like all sunshine and rainbows. But there was just something like I'm just reminded of that that video I saw where the guy was like, "Yeah, what if we made Euphoria like awful to watch? What if it was just really unpleasant?" And yeah. Um, but yeah, anyway, they have their end of arcs and then Coleman Domingo goes back to Texas and sits with his family and uh they have a nice little moment and he sees Ru and it's, you know, it was a nice that was a nice way to end it. Uh, Sam Levenson clearly has thoughts on like religion and America and some such.

[00:43:24]In this episode, you hear, and I'm sure not by coincidence, in the background on the TV, they're talking about, you know, the 2024 election. I guess this takes place in like uh September 2024 or something. Um, there's a lot of talk of course about drugs and like fentanyl at the border and this kind of stuff. And the final shot is them in Texas having this nice moment. It pans down. It's the American flag flying. And is that supposed to be like, well, you know what? Like, America's pretty [ __ ] up.

[00:43:49]Um, but some people in America are pretty cool. Some like Christian family will take you in and you'll have a little supper and then the American flag will fly and that's pretty or was it meant to be like a deeply ironic and Sam Lemonson's Twisted Mind where it's like actually everything this show was super [ __ ] up and like kind of nihilistic and now we end on a shot of an American flag and it's like cuz America you think it's like cool and and wholesome but actually it's really dark and deep. I don't know. Um again, I don't like hate Sam Levenson and I think he does have some interesting things he clearly wants to say or satarize. I just don't think he does it very compellingly. Uh, I think he kind of gets lost in also like wanting to indulge in various uh things he wants to do action-wise, sex scene wise. Um, that makes his satire like a little harder to take seriously and grab on to. Um, I think it's like the religious angle of this I did think was interesting throughout. Like I think it's a little odd that like Lexi ends up as like the one who reads the Bible.

[00:44:44]That's the end of her arc. But I think it's interesting. I don't know, Ru's discovery of or Christianity and how uh that ties into, you know, like the addict recovery. Coleman Domingo's character's been talking about religion throughout. But then is that like meant again to be a Sam Lemonson like ironic thing cuz she's I think she's listening to the Bible when she overdoses and at the end, you know, it's kind of meant to be like a little bit of a sweet ending with Coleman Domingo and he's with this family, but also Ru is dead and like everything is [ __ ] and we see this American flag. Um, what's Sam Levenson saying trying to say about like Christianity and religion and America and drugs? Who's to say? Because he doesn't either he says it too geniusly and I can't pick up on like all the nuanced intricacies or it's a little bit of a mess. Um, and I don't also like feel like I owe the show Euphoria to like really dig into it and analyze it because it was also kind of stupid this season. I don't know. But my point being here, Sam Levenson, I think he has a lot of faults as a creator of, you know, stories. But I think he has some interesting ideas and some interesting ways of doing things and some talent for sure. And I if he could sort of hone this a little bit, get a little more focus. I think he can make something pretty interesting, pretty cool with something to say maybe, I think he could. Um, cuz I saw an article that was like Euphoria season 3 reflects like the nihilism of Gen Z. And I am interested by shows and movies and how media reflects the times that we live in. How like I've talked about before like how you know movies in the 60s reflected that time period and and uh I don't know like post 911 media reflected that sort of thing. I think that's like an interesting time capsule. So for this to be like I think the 2020s are pretty [ __ ] and we're getting media like you know Edington that just captures like this bad vibe. That's a you know general way of putting it. But this does capture like the bad vibe of the 2020s in a way which I think that is sort of interesting. Uh, but I just wish again if like you sort of focused a little more. If you, I don't know, didn't do, you know, I've talked this whole video about various decisions that I thought were kind of stupid throughout. If you just cut some of those down and like focus a little bit more, I think you could have made something very interesting and even, you know, yeah, dark and nihilistic that reflects the times a little bit uh, in a way that wasn't, you know, Euphoria season 3, which had a lot of different problems.

[00:46:52]Um, but anyway, those are my thoughts on Euphoria season 3. Overall, it was a season that was interesting to talk about. Uh I enjoyed watching it and talking about it uh you know with friends and on here. Um in terms of an actual show I think it had some stuff that I wanted from it. It had some cool film making that you get from Euphoria.

[00:47:11]It had some good performances from the actors involved and it was interesting to see at least what you know their attempt Sam Lemonson and crews attempt at a conclusion to this to the show. So we don't just end it on like the season 2 you know cliffhanger or whatever it was. Ru owes Lori money and like that's that. Um, and it had individual scenes that were pretty cool and what it was trying to say, you know, and it had commentary. It made for interesting conversation. I guess I'll say that. I think it also had a lot of problems as I've talked about. Yeah, I'd go like two and a half stars maybe. Um, the worst season of the show for sure, but not like a meritless train wreck. Just like a weird season. I think we'll look back on this and be like, "Yeah, remember when Euphoria had that third season?" I like Euphoria and pop culture will be remembered for the first season, I think, with like the vibes and the makeup and the the labyrinth music and it'll be like, "Yeah, remember when Euphoria ended with like a western drug Tarantino season?
