The video frames geo-arbitrage as a simple budgeting hack while glossing over the economic disparity between expat purchasing power and local reality. It presents a superficial view of "affordability" that relies entirely on the privilege of earning in a stronger currency.

Maybe doing some breakfast videos. That would be good, man. So we'll see how it goes, right?
Yeah. Okay, one I'm going to make a video of eating some uh some I'm going to make the raw ones.
I was going to [music] ask you what that was. What happened? I was going to ask you what that was. What?
All right, guys. So we're back from the store the store. Our total was 2,500.

Gallon of milk.
Potatoes. Funny thing here, potatoes in the summer are like [music] half price what they sell them in the winter.

We got some chicharron. Like to put this in eggs.
Yeah.
>> It's a different type of chicharron.
It's pretty Yeah. But it's really good in eggs. Never had it before. Never had seen it before obviously until hubby had bought it one time. Isn't that actually the second time we're going to have it?
>> Yeah. The first time he bought it I wasn't here. Remember and you went and got it. He went and got a few groceries.
He must have saw it, grabbed it. I came home, there was still some left, had some, loved it.
So we had to get some.
And then we got some chorizo.
>> That chorizo is good, actually. This one's good and we can have it with our potatoes.

More lettuce because I actually like to uh do a little bit of both.
Tuna. We got seven cans of tuna and these are big cans. It's like two small ones in one.
Had to get some chipotles to make the um tinga. The tinga has chipotles. That's right. Super easy. Bread.
Bananas.
What about the babies?
We got two of these pastas. I only see one, probably cuz one was left in the car cuz the babies like to carry those.
Got a little chorizo. You guys saw us cook breakfast with this the other day.
Super good, so we got some more. I like to have things like this in the cupboard, so when I'm getting low on groceries cuz it's not fresh, it can be in the cupboard for a while.
>> in the store.
>> Do they? Oh, yes. Yeah, yeah. We've bought it in the store before fresh, but I like to have stuff that Hey mom, don't you used to do it around us? Yes, he used to he used to do Didn't he do both?

And then two cucumbers. And then we got 30 eggs over there. So all of that for $120.
>> And our ice machine, by the way.
>> [laughter] >> So, $120, that's what we got. This will hopefully last us at least a week for sure.
We do obviously have stuff in the freezer still, pantry, whatever. This is just our fillers. So yeah, so we're going to make chili con carne. We'll share that with you guys and the tinga.
I'll share that with you guys, too.
Chorizo con papas? Chorizo con papas, yep. Easy but delicious. She can do some enchiladas.
>> [laughter] >> She like, "Yeah, I got If I You know what? I've been watching recipes, you guys. I see people all the time cooking on TikTok. I love to watch that kind of stuff. And I want I I do want to do it and stuff. I really do because it's it A lot of it is easy and I've seen really easy recipes, but yeah, um it's just getting the stuff and doing it. So, like today, I had the hardest find finding the tomatillos in the store because they move them around all the time. So I was actually thinking, "Okay, unless unless I go to another store, we're going to scratch the chili con carne." But I found them accidentally when I was getting jalapenos, so now we're back on.
