This video demonstrates how to critically evaluate paranormal claims using scientific skepticism. The host, Kenny Biddles, investigates grounding sheets (products claiming to transfer earth's electrons for health benefits) and explains that while some people report positive experiences, scientific evidence remains experimental and inconclusive. He emphasizes that claims should be evaluated based on actual scientific studies rather than testimonials or marketing materials, and that extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. The video also covers how to investigate historical claims by researching newspaper archives and original sources, and discusses Third Man Syndrome as a psychological phenomenon where people in extreme isolation experience a sense of presence, which researchers view as a survival mechanism rather than supernatural evidence.

Ep. 242 - Open Mic Night追加:
Dream crusher.
Heat. Heat.
Heat.
Heat.
We all know what that means.
Don't believe in aliens and never going to land.
Don't believe in cryptics that leave footprints in the sand.
Don't believe in spirits appearing from the dead.
The only demons out there are living in your head.
Heat. Heat.
Hello. Hello.
>> We forgot.
>> No, I said we say hi.
>> We were in the middle of a conversation.
>> Hello.
>> Hello everyone.
>> Welcome back. Did y'all miss me?
>> I have to turn that off and turn that off. There we go. Now we got >> Why was I too loud?
>> No. No. I had all the mics going at the same time. I Sometimes that creates a little feedback. So there you go.
Anyway, hello everyone. It's good to see everyone. I have free words of wisdom if you want because >> free words.
>> I am Yoda. I saw a poster. Somebody put a poster up on online saying I was the smartest guy despite what Seg says.
>> I love it. All right.
>> I missed you guys, too.
>> Yeah, Donna is back.
>> Donna is back.
>> So, real quick, let's just jump right into the rules. Yes. So, then we can get to see say hi to everybody. So, rule number one is that you are encouraged to ask questions. That there was that >> start again.
>> That's what this show is about. Slow down.
>> Slow down. I'm excited, pumped.
>> Slow down.
>> This show is about education, about learning, about knowing more stuff and figuring things out. So, the only way to do that is to ask questions. So, you are welcome to ask questions. And on that note, if you do ask a question in the chat, please do us a favor and put a capital Q in front of it. That way, Donna can pick it out from the rest of the conversations that are going on.
>> Uh, rule number three is that we don't know everything. Please keep that in mind. Um, sometimes I might not have an answer for you and I have to look it up and I might have to write it down in my handed notebook for later so that I can look it up and maybe follow up and give you an answer. Um, but there you go. Uh, let's see.
You mean I have to think?
>> We all have to think just a little bit in a while. Just a little bit.
>> Rule number four is that we practice practice practicks.
>> No, we don't. No, we don't.
>> We practice uh the Patrick sees rule here and that's be nice. Basically, you can be in the chat. Practics.
>> Practice.
>> Practice.
>> Okay. Practice.
>> Practice.
>> You weren't saying it right.
>> I don't know what you're talking about.
>> You were not saying it right at all.
>> Practics.
>> Yeah. Don't say that.
>> Hey, little didd little practicks.
>> It's not even close.
>> Um, where was I? Oh, be nice. just be nice.
>> You can be in the chat room and you can have conversations and discussions and debates. You can disagree. You can uh even just walk away if you want because that's usually the way just walk away.
Don't get into name calling because if I see that then you're out. Um >> and if you know if you start just name calling and just being a >> dick um on your own >> like a troll because we talked about trolls during Seg Live earlier. Um, if you're one of them, everyone will call you out and you will be kicked out. Um, rule number five, my favorite rule, drink up, participate. I'm going to drink from my new Star Wars cup.
>> The drink >> that I got on Star Wars day.
Oh, that's good. Good stuff. Specialty.
>> Yeah, you didn't tell them how special it is.
>> It was special. It is special.
>> What makes it so special, Kenny? The Kraken.
>> Don't you have some good iced tea in it?
>> Yeah, the Kraken. Yeah, >> with Wawa.
>> Oh, I'm so sorry.
>> I was not getting the obvious hint.
>> Oh my god.
>> Cuz I'm looking at her like, where am I going with? Um, actually, it's not though.
>> It's not. You didn't even use it.
>> Donna went to Philly >> and she brought me back like >> 10 16,000 jugs of Waw Wa tea.
>> I think like 10.
>> And I totally forgot. Totally forgot to mix one and bring it over. So this No, this is this is the regular.
>> Um >> it's not even a >> So we'll we'll see. We'll we'll we'll we'll make up for it. Don't worry.
>> I'm sure.
>> Um so with the rules out of the way, I can say hi to people. So let's see. We got >> Now you have to go catch up.
>> I'm gonna go right backwards.
Here we go. Sarah Bob Barara. Hello.
>> And right below that, >> Damn. Damn it, Bob.

>> That's I see Kristen Crabtree. Uh Scarbor uh is in the house. I think I think I'm getting I know I'm I'm probably missing people, so I apologize, but I'm going to jump all the way to the end. I don't want to be like Seg be light years behind the chat.
>> We're not that bad. No, I mean we have a few questions but we >> Chris Wilkinson. Hello. Um >> I think you got all the ones.
>> I think I got I think I got a lot. Um so before we start any questions because it is an open mic night. Wait wait wait wait because it is a open mic night. You like that? I could have done better on the timing. I could have I could have done better. Um just a few quick things um I want to touch on before we get into it. Like little updates and stuff. So, first and foremost, Malachi, >> you're awesome.
>> Got your postcard here. And >> I think the US Post Office needs a >> Yeah, there was there was a a thing on here saying if this reaches you before I do, I've failed unlike most psychics.
I'll admit it.
>> So, see you. Yes, it got here before. I got a nice card from Frell Gothgal. I didn't I didn't see her in the chat yet.
I didn't see you, but thank you very much. I am drinking your beverage right now.
>> She gave me a card. I'm not going to show what's inside, but um she wrote out a whole card >> with uh Awesome. That was about nice. Sure it was. Sure it was. Um so I got those and I also want to just touch on this week has been so busy for me. Um and it's not just the the norm. Should I added his name to >> That's what I do. Yeah. He has no idea what happens. Donna usually gives me the cards and say, "Here, sign this.
>> Sign this."
>> And I'm like, "Okay."
>> And that's sometimes it doesn't that doesn't even happen.
>> Yeah.
>> He's lucky. Certain things I just just sign. I tell him, >> I can't now. No, I can't just sign things. Now it's an autograph.
>> OMG.
>> I know. Was that That That was bad.
>> That That was bad.
>> I know. All right. Um but yeah, like this was a busy week for me because not only did I have work here, like the normal work that we do around here. Um a few things came up, but uh I was able to speak to several people for projects. Uh one was um there was a speaker at SYCON this year, uh Tim Redmond. He's been a speaker here at CFI headquarters. He's he's given lectures here before. He runs a critical thinking class. It's an elective at the local high school and three or four times a year I go over and I speak at his class and it's great. I get 40 minutes to talk to the kids. I tell them what I do. I tell them uh the like my story, my origin story from Gettysburg and I take questions, but we also address like popular issues with like different hauntings and Bigfoot and cryptids and UFOs and stuff like that. and they they they ask questions about critical thinking, like, "How do you look into this? How do you look into that?" And it's great because they're so enthusiastic about it. And it was just a really good time. It was a good 40 minutes solid of >> them being interested and learning >> learning and asking questions and following up with a lot of the stuff.
Um, and then out of that, >> wait, wait, I have some there's a quick thing we have to throw up here.
>> Get him to sign a blank check next. You know what, Decula? He doesn't even know how to sign checks.
>> I do too. Don't. That's not nice. I know how to sign checks.
>> I had a checkbook at one point in my life, >> but checks are outdated.
>> Oh, yeah. They're outdated.
>> Yeah, they're antiques.
>> Checks. Who signs checks anymore?
>> Sometimes that's the only thing places will take. But one of the students there was she's in a journalist uh class and she writes for the school newspaper and she came up afterwards and asked if she could profile me. Um because there they had an assignment to profile somebody and she said normally it's a teacher but she's going to run down to her class and see if she can uh skip the next class to interview me. And she came up and she's like all right. And really good conversation. I mean I thought it was really good. She was >> interesting. She asked really good questions. Um, so we had a good time. We did that. I also spoke to a college student this week that was also doing an assignment about dark tourism and talking about ghost tours and haunted locations where they charge money for this. And we had a nice hour-long conversation. So, part of that and then last night I had a phone call with an eighth grader that was also doing some kind of journalist class, but he had an assignment to um talk to experts in a topic that he picked and he picked are ghosts real and we had a good conversation. I I want to let you guys know like I didn't come right out and say no ghost real end of interview. No, it wasn't anything like that. It was a very good uh conversation and he asked really good questions and I gave him a lot of information and I was uh it was it was fun. It was a lot of fun. Um and then lastly, I want to update that I did I talked to a photographer and this might be something you guys might be interested in uh just in case, but there's a photographer out there. She works in New York. She does a lot of gallery showings, but she's trying to work out an idea about blending, I guess, ghost hunting and paranormal with artistic photography.
And she wanted to talk to me about like my approach on looking at photos and what I look for and then also when I recreate them, like what am I doing to recreate them and and how do I go about figuring out how to recreate them and stuff like that. So, we talked for a good hour, hour plus uh on that. I'm I got to be honest, like I'm still not exactly sure of her idea, like what she wants to accomplish, but I I guess it's like just blending the two and making some kind of gallery type art uh uh by way of photography. So, if anything like that gives you an idea, pass it along and I'll pass it to her and we she can go from there. And I think that's a that's about it. Um, we did Yeah, I talked to some of the the members. I did a members only live yesterday, I think, and we were talking because Joe Nickel, who you guys know, most of you guys know was my predecessor here. He I he was the one that worked this job before I did. um he passed away in March of 2025 and uh his stuff he has still has an office here with a lot of stuff and there's been I'm not going to go into it. There was issues with his estate. Let's just say that um >> that are now settled >> that are now settled.
>> There was good people and there was evil villains involved >> always.
>> That's all I'm going to say. I'm no further. But it's resolved. And uh I'm finally going to meet his daughter next week. She's coming up here. Um she's out of state, but she's coming up here to uh go through his estate. I'm going to help her go through not only the office stuff, but I'm going to go to the house um and help her sort through a lot of the stuff. Um so I'm excited to be able to meet her uh because I've never met her before. Um I heard a lot about her because Joe loved to tell stories. Mhm.
>> Even if you've heard them 57,000 times, he would tell you 57,000 and one more time until the next time he came in >> and he would tell you again. Uh so, but yeah, there I'm excited about that. Um the villain have a mustache.
>> Uh she might have. I don't know. I didn't look at her that long. Um >> Pharaoh Goth Girl.
>> Hey, Pharaoh. What are you talking about?
>> Thank you for the alcohol, sweetie. I'm drinking some of it.
>> But I got your card. I got your card here.
>> And we got the card. Yes. With the little horsey on it.
>> That way. Yeah. Yeah. That way.
>> Very pretty card.
>> Thank you.
>> So yeah, that Joe's article on his daughter. Yes, >> he put the link in. Yeah, >> Ben put the link.
>> Okay. Yeah, thanks. Hopefully. Yeah, it came up. Um, >> it's in there.
>> But yeah, it's uh I'm excited about that. I'm get to talk to her and and all that and we'll trade stories and all that stuff. So, all right. So, that's just the updates I wanted to do. Plus, you know, Saikon's coming up in five weeks, less than five weeks now. And I'm excited about that. Things are ramping up. Lots of stuff going on here. Lots of planning, lots of uh >> gathering and >> so like and subscribe.
>> Like and subscribe. And come on out and >> ding that bell.
>> Especially if you're going to be here because I know there's a ton of books that are going to be available because I helped load some of them in.
>> Yeah, exactly.
>> And they're heavy. [ __ ] heavy.
>> They're going to be good books.
>> I'm getting too old for this [ __ ] Like I looked at them and I'm like, "Oh my god, they look heavy. They just look heavy. I'm going to hurt." Um, all right. So, it is open mic night.
>> Open mic night.
>> If you guys I know there's questions have been coming in. So, let's uh let's just dive right into the first one and see what happens.
>> What is Kenny drinking? Oh, so I am drinking from my awesome Mandalorian and Grou new Star Wars cup. Um, it's all pretty >> that he went to Burger King to get.
>> I went to Burger King on May 4th to get along with the whole Star Wars bundle pack, which I ate because I just wanted the cup.
But it is uh what is it? Peach tea, lemonade tea, or no, peach tea, lemon tea, and the Kraken. That's what's in here.
>> Yeah, he mixed it all I mixed it all up cuz I like the little fruity taste.
>> Tastes nice. I like it.
>> You can't pull off the southern thing.
>> Is that what you >> I was going for like Forest Gump.
>> No.
>> I'm not going to try to the southern thing. I will totally not only will I mess it up, but I'll piss all the southern southern people off. I don't want to do that.
>> Do not want to do that.
>> So, but that's usually what I drink. So, I have that and I have since it's a smaller cup than what what I'm usually have, I have backup >> backup. There's always backup.
>> I have a backup thermos. So, I'm good.
>> How many movies did you get through on Star Wars day? I got through the original trilogy. Uh, so I sat here. I took breaks because even though I took the day off, so this is it. Like if you didn't see my post, I took the day off, like a vacation day or a personal day >> that he never faking does. He never takes a day off.
>> I never take a day off. Um I took the day off so I can come into work and sit in the lecture hall because we have a movie screen. Like we have a movie theaterized screen.
>> Don't be on his side, Bob.
>> I uh Good one, Bob.
I'm not going to press it.
Um, but yeah, I came in to watch it and yes, I the original trilogy is the ones I love plus Rogue One. Um, I do if I had more time, I would have started with Rogue One and then went through the original trilogy because I think that's the the best of the everything. Um, and yeah, I I watched uh four, five, and six. Um, and I loved it. And I had my lightsaber, which is still here. It's over in the corner. Um, and I when when they were doing it like when Obi-Wan and Vader were fighting and then when Luke and Vader were fighting and then again when Luke and Vader are fighting in all the movies, I had not only my Jedi robe on, but I had my lightsaber and I was fighting along with them because I'm that much of a nerd.
Um, but yeah, that was fun. That was a lot of fun. And I I did take a break. I ran to Burger King. I got lunch and all the little cardboard Star Wars themed stuff that I well pretty much threw out except for the cup. And that's it. So great day. Had a lot of fun. Loved it.
>> Yeah. And I understand, Bob. It's an important day. And it was so important to him that I stayed away for an extra day to let him enjoy his day.
>> That way it doesn't look like I'm ignoring her.
>> Yeah. I just came home on Tuesday instead of Monday. I rolled my my this chair out and I sat and had my feet up on the table and I was like, "Ah." And then obscure reference man came out a couple times and sat with me. Um he would sit for like 10 minutes or so and watch one of the the big like longer scenes and stuff like that, some of the fights. So that was nice. That was nice.
Hey, my second oldest graduate graduates college on Wednesday. Bio major heading to med school. Wow. Nice.
>> Great job.
>> Damy old. Oh, he should talk, right?
>> I know, right? My my kid's out of college.
>> Oh, but that's his second his second oldest out of college. So, yeah, you're older.
>> That's all right. That's great, Bob.
>> Yeah, that's great. Good to hear, buddy.
I'm I'm I'm proud proud of you. I'm proud of him. And >> awesome. Her her. No, wait. Was it son?
>> He didn't say I think it's a daughter, though. I would say daughter, right, Bob?
>> I thought I thought he said his second oldest. Oh, maybe it is. I'm sorry.
>> I am proud of them.
>> She's got the brain.
>> It's a girl.
>> All right.
All right. What else we got?
>> Oh, you want another question?
>> Yeah. I pro I probably You know what, >> Donna? Did you have a nice time last week? I >> this a little bit because it's showing too much of my board.
>> Oh, I had a great time last reading too much. I saw a bunch of friends. I stopped in to see my good friend Christine that I don't get to see at much at all. And um then I went down into Philly and I got to spend some time with my girlfriend Michelle from college. And we went to the Phillies games, >> the one that was cancelled because the Phillies wanted to go watch the Flyers play.
>> And it got rescheduled for the next day.
So I watched a double header. Phillies won both games. Bob, I was there and it was because of me that they started winning.
>> Awesome.
>> But yeah, I did have a good time. I spent some time with my dad. It was really nice. It's good to be back though. I missed you guys.
>> Yeah. Yeah.
>> Mhm.
>> Obscure reference man was here filling in for you.
>> Yeah. You guys You guys take care when I'm not here. It's good.
>> Yeah, it's all good. Don't reach like that, Kenny. Thought you were pulling me >> in for a kiss.
I I know, Bob. I I have them on the side here, Bob. I just saw that shore bomb, though. At least we're not You know >> what else we got?
>> Kenny's like, "Moving on >> moving on.
>> No more sports.
>> No more." That's your quota. We're We're done with sports.
Ladies, fright. What website do you do we see practics on? Is that like a subscription thing? Yes, it is.
>> Yes. Don't subscribe.
>> It's It is subscriptionbased.
IT'S $69 A MONTH.
>> OH MY GOD.
>> Kenny just bought the thing for it.
>> I got the VIP ticket.
>> Oh, >> cuz I'm a big prick.
Very immense penis VIP.
>> Oh my god.
>> Anyway, that was from Revenge of the Nerds, I think. Oh man, I totally stole that.
>> Oh, practics. Uh, moving on.
>> That's funny. I should I should We SHOULD MAKE A T-SHIRT.
>> I KNOW. I was just I'm moving on. I'm moving on.
>> How to get good at something practics.
>> And I guarantee most people will be like, >> "Is that what >> is that THE WAY IT'S >> I KNOW, RIGHT?
>> $69."
It says 69.
>> 69.
>> What number AM I THINKING? 69, DUDE.
>> Oh my gosh.
>> All right. All right.
>> Oh man, we are having fun.
>> Get back to the questions, Kenny.
>> That was a subtle like shut the [ __ ] up.
>> Here we go. Next one.
>> Rosside Paranormal. Kenny, have you heard of grounding sheet?
>> Grounding sheets? Yes, I have.
>> If so, what is your opinion of them?
Grounding sheets.
>> I'll let you know cuz I just ordered a pair.
>> What?
>> I did. The grounding company, it's called. Look up the grounding company.
>> Grounding >> cuz I wanted to see if it actually worked.
>> We tested 27 grounding uh consumer choice reports.
>> You have to watch.
>> Only five are worth ranking. Go into their company.
>> Grounding sheets. Grounding. Well, >> you haven't You haven't heard of grounding sheets yet?
>> I No.
>> Okay.
>> Bed sheets. $99.
Terry's grounded.
>> You're grounded, Kenny.
>> Oh my god. Lots of feet on grass.
What is grounding?
>> No, you have to keep going. It's just >> This is Let me see. Amazon overview.
Let's Let's Google's overview. Let's see what Google >> Grounding sheets or earthing sheets are specialized conductive bedding designed to transfer the earth's natural electrons to your body while you sleep.
>> It's copper in the sheets.
>> They are typically made of cotton woven with silver or carbon threads >> and connect to a grounding outlet.
>> Silver, not copper. Yeah, >> it's Yeah.
>> And you plug them in.
>> Intended to improve. I think it would be better if it was copper. Copper's a better grounding materials. It's silver though because silver has no but because silver has healing properties. You have to watch the whole video.
>> They are intended to improve sleep.
They're intended. So as long as they have the good intentions.
>> I was going to get him. I was just going to put him on Kenny's bed and see if he slept better, but he all messed it up.
Now >> that's a red flag. That's a red flag right away. Um when they see >> It sounds like Kenny will be doing not clinically proven. Well, guys, don't buy them yet. I'll test them out. Okay.
>> Reduce inflammation.
>> Yeah, >> you're enhanced recovery of balancing the body's electric. Oh, bull. [ __ ] [ __ ] >> GOD DAMN. This is a [ __ ] scam.
>> No. Watch the whole thing.
>> No. No. Based on that, what is this?
Sleep foundation. That's what it's based on.
>> Do means test them. They're saying, "Give me a review." I will.
>> I will. I tell you, I will. See, this is the difference between me and Kenny.
Okay, guys. We are on opposite sides sometimes.
>> You want to ground yourself? Take an extension cord, shove one end up your ASS >> go plug THE OTHER INTO DIRT.
>> OH [ __ ] >> That's Oh my god. Oh my god. This is like This is class A primera [ __ ] While many users report positive experiences, scientific evidence is still >> experimental opportunity. Exactly. Kit Ford, >> it's it's no those claims those are those are recurring claims. We've seen this with other stuff.
>> Thank you. I have an open mind. It does not >> kind of contest them.
>> I I have an open mind, too.
>> I'm gonna let you.
>> We've seen this [ __ ] before.
>> So, >> I didn't buy them from Amazon, though. I didn't buy them from I bought them. No, I did not buy them from Amazon.
>> Where did you buy them from?
>> I'm going to pick one of yours.
>> The effects of grounding inflammation. Oh my god.
Yeah, this this is this is all >> Thanks for the question.
>> This is all side paranormal.
>> I bet she knew like she knew like this is going TO SET HIM OFF.
I DID IT. I WASN'T EVEN GOING to put it up.
>> Wherever you are, Rosside, I know you're like, >> I was not even going to put it up.
>> We're going to trigger Kenny.
>> I I literally was going to try them myself because So, me and Kenny have a king-size bed, but we we both have a twin XL mattress. So, cuz we they can move independently. So, anyway, I was going to put them on my side of the bed and try them out and see if I felt anything. And then I was going to quietly move them to Kenny's side when I switched the the blank the sheets out and see if he slept better because he doesn't sleep well at all.
>> That's not Well, that's >> you have to have the Well, you have to have data from the control first before you can compare it. I have data for control.
>> And also you have to keep track of what's happening cuz like >> I know >> if I say I don't know I drink excessively and I pass out and I wake up like oh my god like I just have a hangover but I slept great because I passed out. That doesn't really say anything about the sheets. It just means I was dead to the world. Um but yeah, those kind of claims. What's what's the Amazon one say?
>> I don't know. I didn't even look at that. Let's Oh my god, it's got a [ __ ] plug.
>> You have to be They all do because you ground You plug it into the outlet. It ground you're >> I'm not plugging that [ __ ] into an outlet.
>> Oh my god.
>> OH MY GOD. NO. I would not do that.
>> Oh, >> let me see here. Let's Let's >> imagine Kenny after sleeping on Groundy Cheeks wakes up a believer in the paranormal.
>> 10 Oh, cotton. Organic cotton plus 10% pure silver f. So, you only get 10% That's funny. 90% cotton, 10% silver fiber, ground bed sheet kit. All right, let's see.
Use the built-in conductive pen for testing.
Okay, >> I'm not getting a pen. I didn't get a pen for mine, I don't think.
>> You didn't get a pen? You're getting ripped off. sheetated fabric is 90% organic, 2% conductive silver fiber, which I I it's not This is interesting to me. I wonder how like how thin this is and how easily that's going to break.
Press the tips. Okay. When the mid light uh let's let's go to the description value pack. When the purchase when you purchase our grounding plate king, you receive a full set. It includes a grounded bed board blah blah blah. Powerful functions. The earthing grounding sheets have a very powerful functions. It helps with sleep, allowing you to easy to easily enter a sweet dreamland. It can relieve fatigue and eliminate the tiredness of the day.
Well, that's what [ __ ] sleep does.
You go to sleep, it eliminates the tiredness.
So, so far we're not doing well. Um, it also relieves pain and bring Is this written weird? Is it me? It can also relieve pain and bring a little comfort to you when you are not feeling well, just like any blanket. At the same time, it can remove static electricity and say goodbye to the annoying static electricity trouble within or with it.
Uh, okay. So, static electricity, that's not really a health thing. Long-term use of grounded sheets is of great benefit to physical health. After a busy day, the body will accumulate lots of negative charges. That's not how this works. So, this is all this is all word salad that it's going into now.
All right, I'm done. I'm getting angry.
An Wow, I tried to say angry and aggravated at the same time. Look at you. You got the look like >> I wish I didn't bring this up. Thanks.
Rollside Paranormal.
>> Donna's not happy. She's like, "Why' you have to ask about it?" That was a good good question, though. I was not aware of this. Although, like I've seen other products that claim this.
A lot of the like the wristbands and stuff like that that claim that they ground you, but there is absolutely no science behind it. None whatsoever. Um, so another uh another pseudocientific medical um [ __ ] So, >> but but you're not even trying it out.
So, how could you say that?
>> Because there's no like when you give that advertisement of it's intended to like that's not saying it's actually been tested and provides it. They're not providing anything. They're actually just saying, "Hey, it can do this. It might do that." There's a whole video though of how they explain the medical benefits of it and people that have tried it. It's a it's a you can't do it right now. It's a long video. You have to watch it.
>> You have to just look into it more. I think >> so. I mean, we can look at it more. We can do that over.
>> I'm on it because I bought this. So, I have a fair comment.
>> We have to pay attention. So, this is a good lesson for everyone. This is a good thing to go into. So, you have to pay attention to the marketing like how are they presenting it? Are they presenting it as clinical studies have shown this and this and this and then you find the studies that do it but more >> here here Mason Mason has tried them >> literally 10% silver I'm literally 10% silver no and you're going to tell me I'm wrong I feel great he's joking you picked the wrong comment that backfired on But yeah, >> has anybody out there tried them?
Really? Like >> look at the look at the wording, look at the marketing material and how do they present their claims? Is it with intention or you could feel better, you might feel better or people have reported feeling better. There's a lot um there's a lot of issues with it.
There are a lot of doctors that do say grounding is a real thing and people should do it. Show me the studies. Bring them like what is it? Is it actually the grounding part? Cuz it's not. I mean it's not going to be that. Is it just because you're feeling grass under your feet and you're getting out for a walk?
You're getting outside and just forcing yourself to relax. There's a difference between that and this releasing negative e electrons from your body and and that's that's the problem. Um so we need to know who's saying it, what studies that there are behind it and what's the marketing like because this is this is how this [ __ ] works. This is how people sell it. They sell things that are [ __ ] products for a lot of money. Sounds like ghost hunting. um that don't actually do what they claim it does and they try to wrap it up in scientific word sell it.
So um nine nine out of 10 dentists agree grounding works.
Yeah. I mean you say grounding me I think coming into my body moment and I'm having anxiety not electronic stuff. All I know is a lot of doctors including mine say grounding is a thing. I don't again like I'm not I'm not it's going to sound like I'm picking on you Joe but when you say a lot of doctors who how many like to me when you say something like that it's like oh a lot of people say that who is it just because you you're saying a lot of doctors that you want to say a lot of doctors or is it just one doctor and that becomes a lot like that's misrepresenting the whatever science might be behind it or might not be behind it. So, doctor, THAT'S GOOD.
>> ALL RIGHT, WE'RE MOVING ON. DONNA has a good way of just >> blowing through whatever point that I'm trying to make.
>> Let's go.
>> All right. Do you investigate? Do you guys investigate Bigfoot claims? So, yes, I have been out and done that. Um, I have been out deep in the woods with people that I barely know looking for Bigfoot. So, I have done a little of that and and mostly when it comes to Bigfoot claims, it's simply uh there was a Bigfoot sighting here.
So, there's not really too much else that you can investigate claim wise. Um I've never come across a track. I've never come across um any kind of tracks even in areas where I was told yes, Bigfoot frequenc.
Um, mind you, it's not like something I do like every other month or something like that. I've only gone on a handful, maybe like five or six uh like excursions looking for Bigfoot, but the areas that they took us to were, I was told, hightraic areas. again, no tracks, no sign, and then most of it was um I'm almost embarrassed to say it, like let's knock on a tree and wait for a knock to come back.
>> Yeah, it's kind of how it was.
>> That was that was really that was one of the moments where it was very difficult for me not to say something very sarcastic because it's like you're knocking on a tree. Okay.
And then the very common response of, well, if you hear a knock, how do you know it's just not somebody else in the woods somewhere knocking to respond? Um, because unless you actually see the Bigfoot knocking on a tree, you can't claim that it was a Bigfoot that responded to you. I mean, well, you can, but it's not going to be an accurate claim. So, uh, so yeah, uh, I I do investigate once in a while.
Unfortunately, there's not a lot of Bigfoot claims in my area, so I don't have the opportunity really to to go looking. Um, I think the last and we can say like, excuse me, pseudo Bigfoot, uh, ghost hunt I was on. Not ghost hunt.
So when I went out to Kansas, was it Kansas? Yeah. With Seg and he went to the um that house um the Steve House of the Dead. When he went there, we went like the day before. I think the day before we stopped by just to see where it was during the day and he was telling me about like Twin Paranormal doing certain camera angles to make it look like there were like a lot of woods in the back because the guy that runs it, Steve, claims that Bigfoot roams that area. And it was like there was no way. You could literally see the neighborhood around this patch of woods and see through every tree to the other houses. So there was no way a Bigfoot was there. So, all right. That was good.
That was good.
>> I don't want to I don't want to go back to this, but but I have to put it out there because it's feral goth gal.
>> Uh, you are incorrect here, Kenny. There are NIH studies on grounding and their >> health benefits.
>> If you could please, please uh send them to me. That's what Kit said. Send them to Kevin.
>> Send them send them to me because again like I want to read what they concluded.
Was it because of this this exchange of electrons or was it because of other factors that have nothing to do with what we're talking about here? Um because grounding is is something majorly different or is it just something doing like that makes you feel good? Because again, like if I if I'm stressed out or I'm I'm feeling like anxiety or whatever, going outside and walking on the grass for me isn't going to do anything.
>> She's going to email them, too.
>> It's not going to do anything. Um I will like if I go work on a puzzle or play a video game, >> that relaxes me. Or if I read a book, that relaxes me. So, is that what we're talking as opposed to what I read off of that? Um, so there um and again, yes, if you send me the papers, I'll read through them and we can see what's uh what's going on there and if I'm if I'm wrong, I will adjust uh and and we'll have an update. What I'm going to put it on my notes.
>> Grounding sheets.
>> Grounding.
Uh, >> this is definitely going to be some kind of experiment. Now, >> uh, papers.
Uh, from from Oh, I I should learn how to spell from.
>> F R O.
>> I know. I forgot the R. I'm looking at like >> you're like from, >> not for from. Damn it.
>> From Feral Goth.
>> Okay. Far go. He's looking in. All right. So, the next question has to go >> back to Bigfoot. I'm going to I'm going to I'm jumping ahead here just to >> sheets >> cuz just because we're on Bigfoot.
>> Okay. Honestly, how would you come to Africa to investigate?
You guys just want to see me drink >> Taco claims with them more prevalent than Bigfoot. Now I got to look up that word.
>> Taco.
>> Takashi.
>> Takashi.
>> I like that. That's a cool word.
>> Takalashi.
>> Takalashi. Uh, >> it's better than Bigfoot.
>> Look at that guy.
>> Oh, wow. It looks like Kenny.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> When he wakes UP IN THE MORNING.
>> LET me show you guys.
>> There he is. That does look like me in the morning.
>> There's Kenny.
>> There's a big foot pajamas on. That's what he looks like. an evil dwarflike water spirit in Zulu and New Guinea. I don't know, mythology. I don't know how to say that word.
Uh, often described as a hairy gremlin-like creature summoned by malevolent people or sangas, I don't know if I'm saying that right either, to cause harm, illness, or death. It is a feared figure in South African folklore, frequently blamed for supernatural torment and unexplained misfortune. Oh, that's interesting.
Looks more like Barry Carr. Wow.
So, I would not come to Africa just to investigate that. Um, because it looks like just just for a very I have to move you because you're in the way. Uh, >> I have to see. Oh, wait. I have a I have another way to do this. I have to figure it out.
>> There you go.
>> A little bit better.
>> You just take open mic night off.
>> Yeah. Let me let me do that. Um, there we go. All right. So, yeah, just because it is because it looks like it's folklore rather than like >> somebody says, "Look at the other images of it."
>> Look at the other images.
>> Go to hit the images up top. Oh, that's >> Well, that's [ __ ] creepy.
>> I like that. I like that. This look like This remind This one reminds me of u uh the the the thing in the Lord of the Rings, you know.
>> Yeah, it's like Yeah. Yeah. That's kind of creepy.
>> Definitely a gremlin kind of thing. It's pretty cool. Oh, now they got a sword.
>> I am holding the mic for him. That's funny. It looks like I'm holding the mic.
>> I like that.
Oh, I want one. Oh my gosh, Kenny's gonna be violent.
>> I want one of those.
>> Gollum. People are saying it looks like that.
>> What is the mic? You said one was holding a mic.
>> The picture of me with the mic look in this. Oh, yeah.
>> It looks like I'm holding it for you.
>> Oh, hey. How you doing, Donna?
This This looks really cool. I like this. Um I'm going to I'm going to I'm going to save that for later. I'm going to see if I can buy that. Um. Oh, I should put myself back. There we go.
>> All right.
So, are we still fighting and discussing grounding?
>> No, we've moved on. Now we're looking at God.
>> You know, I'm not being mean, Joe.
Right. I'm just I'm just voicing my opinion. That's all.
>> No, his her Dawn's doctor actually recommended she get a grounding mat. He said, >> "But they sell them, too."
>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I'd have to see and I have to read into it more. Yeah.
>> Um, tote bag raffle.
>> Obscure reference man is totally trying to get uh Where are they? I think I put them somewhere.
>> Tote bag.
>> Oh, I did. I put them back tote bags.
>> Tote bags. I have tote bags.
>> Oh, you're giving them away.
>> Um, >> oh, is it time to spin? Let's do a spin.
>> Is it time to spin?
>> Yeah, let's do it before break. Yeah, let's do it. It's a Yeah, >> let's Oh, let me uh let me put this spin tool over here. spin tool.
>> All right, guys. Get your little keypads out.
>> Hashtag grounding.
>> There you go.
>> Hashtag grounding.
>> Grounding.
G R O U D I N G. N D grounding.
>> Grounding.
>> G R O U N D I N G. Right.
>> G R O U N D I N G.
>> There you go. Grounding. There you go.
Mason is the first one in there. No, actually R&B life was Yeah, y'all can spell >> y'all. Y'all >> y'all, >> where are you from?
>> They're all getting it.
>> Oh my goodness.
And I I'm going to say to certain members that were in my live and requested something, it's on its way.
There were three of you, three of you that sent me emails and asked for this specific thing. It was only available to members only yesterday and so they're on their way.
>> Yay.
>> Oh, and I got I I got um a hint that Kit Ford said there's a something that might be on its way to me soon.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> I'm excited. I'm excited.
>> Is it bacon?
>> BACON. MASON DRINK.
Is that his word?
>> I still have I still have the >> bacon.
>> Bacon.
I'm sorry, Mason. Oh, I'm not sorry.
>> This is uh Oh, this is um John without >> putting bacon in there now. That's funny.
>> Bacon. Oh, we're at 29 entries. Come on.
Let's get 30. Let's get There's 86 people. I know so many of you are lurking.
>> Come on. Pick up your little phones. We gave you plenty of time. Come on. Come on. Just quickly type in # grounding >> grounding. You're going to win free [ __ ] >> I I'm >> I'm not doing it till we get 30.
>> We don't have 30 yet.
>> We don't have 30. We're stuck at 29.
>> Put the screen up so we can see it.
>> Uh, all right. I I really have to You got to remind me like this weekend I gotta I gotta um >> I gotta move you >> like I put you there. Yeah.
>> So that I could when I'm looking at you.
>> Yeah.
>> Like it looks like I'm looking >> You can move me down a little.
>> Move you down a little bit. All right.
Maybe I'll do that.
>> Move me down above your tea.
>> Oh. Oh yeah.
>> You're up. I am a little higher.
>> Does that look like I'm looking there then?
>> Yeah. Cuz right now I'm still high.
>> Cuz then you're still high.
>> I'm not high yet.
Let's see. So, yeah, that might work.
Well, I don't know.
>> What do we got? 32.
>> 32. We're good.
>> All right, guys. You ready?
>> You ready? Here we go.
>> Here we go.
>> Here we come.
>> Walking down the street. Sing the prettiest love song to everyone we meet.
Hey. Hey. With the monkeys.
>> And people say the monkey.
>> You should really >> Yeah. Take the chitchat box out.
>> Who's going to win? Who's going to get to spin the wheel?
>> SARAH.
>> SARAH.
>> LUCKILY, I think I still have your address from the last time, so we won't have to have a problem trying to get up.
But she won. Do you want to You want to You want to spin the wheel?
>> Sure.
>> See what she's gonna win this time.
>> All right, Sarah.
>> Holy [ __ ] Sarah.
>> All right. Let me uh let me stop sharing and bring this in. There you go.
>> Here we go.
>> Mystery prize. Mystery prize.
>> No baggings. No baggings. No baggings.
>> No baggin. No bagings. No bagings. No bagings. No bagings. NO BAGGIN. OH, IT'S COMING. NO.
>> It's coming around again. No. Coming around again. Oh, wait. Wait.
>> A bookmarker.
>> A bookmarker.
one.
>> So, >> no, last time it was the autographed uh magazine that Melanie and I >> Oh, okay.
>> autographed. But you will get a bookmarker something like these. Oh, I have these ones. These are weird. This This is my personal favorite. Um so, um right now I have that one. I actually had two. Um, and I have these two, but I can make different ones. Oh, wait. You don't want that one. That one's chipped. You don't want that.
>> She gets to pick. Are you going to let her pick?
>> But you know what? I'll send you one.
I'll send you a special one. Um, >> yeah.
>> Unless you want the Warren's one.
If you want the Warren one, I will send that to you. Uh, and then, uh, yeah, we'll go from there.
>> Surprise me, she says.
>> Yeah, Deadpool came out.
Some of them came out a little bit weird >> cuz uh >> you can't see the flaws from here.
>> Well, a little bit.
>> You see the texture on the red?
>> That wasn't supposed to happen.
>> Yeah, the paint bubbled for some reason >> cuz I painted these red, let them dry, and then I painted them black and then I used the laser to take off the black, which is great.
Everything was fine until I put the clear coat on it and then it bubbled up the red. So, that's that's done. And then like the Superman one also got textured and it was cool at first, >> but then this one >> spray. So it was the spray.
>> So it was the spray that did it the pink.
>> Yeah. And like I was like, "All right, maybe I did it too." Because I I think I talked about it with people.
>> I was doing like the members only lives and we were talking and it was like, "Well, maybe it was just >> paint wasn't dry.
>> It wasn't dry." So I left it for like two days, make sure it was cured and I did it and it still bubbled up. Um, so I don't know if it was just that kind of paint.
>> Maybe it just didn't like the clear coat you were using with it. Whereas the two different brands, >> so uh I don't know.
>> I would pay attention to that.
>> Yeah, if you buy a certain brand of paint, I would probably buy the same >> excited because I figured out how to do >> um >> how to do the two coat the two color and I was like, let me do this. And I did a whole bunch of them and then I was like, oh [ __ ] It happens.
>> Surprise you. Yes, ladies. Some of them came out a little bit weird is what my mom says about her.
>> Some of them, you know.
>> Oh, that's funny.
>> Some are better than others. You know, you know, >> like, you know what? I see them as they are.
>> They're they're variants.
>> They're variants. Yeah. And variants are really cool >> because I tried to do like the the Deadpool's been holding up nice. I might be able to just fill in the Supermanes, but I like I like the texture. It actually came out really nice.
Um, but oh well.
>> Most clear coats need to be done in very very thin layers.
>> All right, that might be my problem cuz >> Kenny just wants to get it done.
>> Damn right I do.
>> Get it done.
Uh, so yeah. Yeah. And I probably laid it on thick. I laid it on thick.
>> Thick. Uhhuh.
>> Yeah.
Anyway, let me put my banner up. I feel naked.
>> Where's my Where's my banner? There it is. There we go. All right. I feel better. I'm in my little clubhouse.
>> Okay, here's a quick one.
>> Okay, quick one. If Kraken wasn't available, what is the next best adult beverage?
I'm going to say just for me. Um, I usually try to get like Captain Morgan Black. Um, I do like that.
There was a there used to be um um what's the other what's the other one?
Um Oakart. Uh >> oh, Oakart. Yeah, >> Oakart. It was It was like a Yeah, >> NPA. We could get it. Can you not get that here?
>> I can't get that here.
>> Huh.
>> I haven't seen it for a while. Um, but there was a What's the That's the That's the That's not the brand. That's the the style. Um, >> I don't know.
>> I forget. I forget what it is. Um, milk stout. I've had some of those. Uh, Mad Dog. Oh my god. Mason, stop.
Rum. Uh, rum. Um, what is what is it?
Rum distributors. Just dribbut.
>> Just put up the word and see what comes up. Put up that and rum.
>> Uh, let's see. Shopping image.
Havana.
Rum.
>> Chocolate milk's good. I'm I'm in for chocolate milk, Jason.
>> Oh, you know what's good? Um, uh, Malibu. Mal. Was it Malibu?
>> No.
>> No. Bikardi. That's it.
>> Bikardi. Oakart was a good one. I really like that. Oh, there it is. Okardi Oak.
>> You probably just can't get it here in New York.
>> You know what? I've never looked here. I think >> we we've looked in the in the rum aisle >> mission this uh weekend. Uh >> oh.
>> I think so. Yeah. I I usually like Captain Mar Captain Morgan dark rum used to be Captain Morgan Black, but I think they they call it dark rum now. And then Oakart was good. It had a very good It had like a caramel flavoring to it. So, I liked I really like that. Um, it's aged in oak barrels. Oh, yeah. Has some good stuff.
>> I don't like it when it's in the barrels.
>> And uh what what what do we have? What was I drinking the other day? Oh, we got the uh the peanut butter pie milk moonshine.
>> Oh, >> peanut butter pie moonshine.
>> How was that?
And I poured it over ice and added chocolate syrup. Hers I was like this is like I can drink this. And I got it gave me a little buzz.
>> Yeah.
>> Give me a little buzz. Yeah. But I mean I had a full glass of just that.
>> So it's like chocolate milk.
>> Yeah. It wasn't like I was mixing it with anything except >> so Kenny decided just >> Kenny decided I don't have to work tomorrow >> and I'm just going to drink some moonshine. Good. I'm getting good and buzzed. Um, so yeah. All right. Let's see.
>> Oh my gosh. Trash can punch out of here.
>> Best drink I had. Trash can punch.
Hardly remember that day.
>> Yeah, >> we've done that.
>> Trash can punch. Omg.
>> We've done a couple.
>> That takes that takes us back. Trash can punch is like the early college years though when you go to a college party.
>> I can't do that anymore. And it's a huge Have you ever done it, Kenny? There's like a huge trash can and they put a bag in it and they just dump. It was like grain alcohol and a lot of fruit punch and >> a lot of stuff. Well, we used to do remember when I had the witches brew.
>> Yes. Oh, that was just nasty.
>> We would take all the the bottles that were empty and then uh hold them upside down or brace them upside down so they would drip into this one bottle. And when it filled then whatever party was next we just did shots of that and it was like every it is break time that all break time.
>> So it's great to always have a trash CAN FULL >> RIGHT? YOU know >> somehow I don't that doesn't surprise me from you Mason. I I really am not surprised that's coming from you.
>> All right guys it is break time. Yeah, we're gonna take a break and we'll >> get your questions out there.
>> Get your questions out. There are some Look at that. Frell Goth Girl already sent me an email.
>> So, I'll be checking that after I uh visit the little boy's room.
All right, let me see. Where's my Where's my Where's my commercial break?
There it is. So, we will see you back here in four minutes and 9 seconds from now.
And now to something completely different.
>> Welcome my fellow skeptics. Welcome one and all.
I am the chief investigator.
Oh, come along.
We will have a ball. Now, if you will excuse me, it's time to open the mic.
Good night.
>> Good night.
>> Can't even investigate my game and I will have at it as the head of this committee. Hunting for ghosts can be shady, but there is nothing better that I know. I am a skeptic through and through. I question everything. Don't you? Let's open the bar and ask some questions. All right.
Maybe you might find an answer or two.
I will find the truth and day. And if my name is not Kenny, then I assure you here I will not say good day.
Kenny Biddles, the name goes hunting the game. I won't let anything get in my way. Too many fakers out there. Too many chefs, too many tappers. None of it makes any sense.
I am a skeptic through and through. I question everything. Don't you?
Let's open the bar and ask some questions. All right. Maybe you might find an answer or two. Who knows?
Then maybe close to the machine. But trust me, I am not so keen. I prefer to see these things clearly. Not in 144.
I am skeptic through and through. I question everything. Don't you? If you don't think I am right, let's open my eyes. Yeah. Yeah.
I am a skeptic through and through. I question everything. Don't you?
If you don't think I am right, let's open the night.
If you have an answer or two, that candy solving for you. The candy bill solved it for you. The one and only candy bill.
Kyle.
Kyle.
Welcome back everybody.
>> Oh, it's taking over cuz I'm reading.
>> I know. I knew you were doing something.
He's like in something. He's probably reading about grounding sheets.
>> Yeah.
>> Are you one of one? Yeah. Well, no. Not sheets, but the ground thing one of these studies. I >> Let's just move on from now. You can study this later >> because we have other questions, right?
>> Okay.
>> Okay.
>> Pull me away from >> normal engineer.
>> I'm reading science.
>> You can read it on your own time. Mason, I got before I I go into this, like I got to say if you're not following Mason at the Paranormal Engineer, then I highly encourage I became Jewish there for a second. Highly encourage you to do so. Um because his work has been really good. He's he's meticulous.
He looks and pays attention to detail and he brings you good information. And we were just talking today I'm not going to give you details because I don't want to give things away, but he ran something by me uh with one idea and we worked on it and realized that it was something different. So, that's the way we should do this. Um, and I think creators like us and and people that post on YouTube and do these like in-depth investigations, reach out to each other. Don't rely just on yourself.
like reach out and and most of us in the community are willing to sit and talk to you and and try to work things out, offer ideas and and bounce ideas off each other. And I think that's really really something that we should do because that makes better quality work all around. Um so yeah, definitely definitely check him out. Now this better not be an insult. Like imagine like that's up on screen. He's like Kenny's an [ __ ] Question. When it comes to diving into historical claims, how long do you spend on a story that likely has no basis in fact before you give up asking for a friend? Um, so h has no basis in fact.
>> If it has no basis in fact, why would you continue?
>> You don't Well, I I guess the idea is to verify that there is nothing out there.
So >> I mean the historical claims like how far Yeah. Do you dig?
>> I would dig into the newspaper accounts from the area. You look on newspapers.com. That's usually one of my first go-to things. Like let's do uh searches on particular terms and I give a date range like five years prior to when something might have allegedly started to five years after or even the present day. And that way it actually um also check out ladies fright. Yes, Sarah.
Yes, definitely. Um but you you want to see you want to see the full picture because sometimes how do I say this? Um sometimes when you get information from certain videos, if they make certain claims, they might not get the information correct if they're taking it off of say like ghost hunting sites or or paranormal sites that just recycle and rehash everyone else's story like cut and paste kind of thing. They might be getting the years wrong and I found that a couple times. Stop. Stop.
Do that. You do that and you distract me.
>> I'm so sorry.
>> All I hear is >> Bob. You know it's Bob. Okay.
>> [ __ ] Bob.
>> This is what I'm reading.
>> Sorry. I'm married.
>> I don't check anyone out anymore. I can't. I I usually do that and I do different searches. I'll spend I if I if I go through a few hours um and I mean like that's all I'm looking at few hours and I don't find anything.
That's pretty much it. Um I might reach out to them. I might reach out to the the original team and say where did you get your information from? Um because at least from a a journalistic point of view, you've reached out to the source of your investigation, the reason you're investigating that and ask them directly, where did you get this information? What is your source? And if they don't respond, I usually give three days for that. Um but if they don't respond, then move on to something else.
Um or continue on and just say, "Hey, I got Yeah, the vagueness of a claim is making it very difficult to research."
So it depends like if if the location if you found the location then you can research the the the that location. If you know like if there was somebody living there or working there whatever that might be you can research them and use their names in your search patterns or search history search no in your search bar. um put their names in there and sometimes it takes time just looking through different articles. But if there is nothing, if everything comes up blank, then I would pivot, >> pivot, >> pivot, >> pivot, >> pivot, >> put it aside and come back to it.
>> No. Well, no, no, not just put it aside.
I would pivot to, okay, who did live there? Who are these alleged stories about?
And figure out who they were. who that person was. Because maybe if if like the the stories and rumors are saying these are bad people or this was a creepy guy or a bad person and he hurt people or whatever, but there's no evidence of that.
>> And you find out through researching the the person himself or herself that they were actually a good person and they did a lot of good work in the community and there was never anything negative said about them. then focus on that and that's how you destroy the previous claims because you bring it out. You say, "Look, no, they said this." No, here's information. You might not be able to reveal who they are. Um, but you can always like blur out names. You can still show some of the the like uh information um or and be honest with your audience and just say, "Look, I'm protecting the privacy of this person.
However, here's some clues that will prove to you that I know who they're talking about or I know the location.
I've been here. Here's a picture that lines up with certain details. That's all you're going to get because I want to protect their privacy. And then you go into their life and you you tell how good they actually were and what good work they did. So, >> okay.
>> I think that's I think that's as much and we've we've I know we've talked more about that off offline. So, um, but I think that's the best I can tell you here.
>> Yeah.
>> Now, yeah, >> I agree with you.
>> Yeah. Yeah.
>> Let me get this up. Hold on, >> Kenny. How, for lack of a better word, scary was it to quit your job and take this job on?
>> That's a good question.
>> I really want to get out of education, but I am just so uncomfortable. I am reading about that. I'm I am reading that about something. Oh, there's price there. Oh, continued. Mid-40s is the time to make the move for most people. I am there. 46.
>> Yeah, we were later.
>> So, yeah. Um I would I would say uh >> it's scary.
>> It's It wasn't It wasn't scary for me.
>> No, >> it really wasn't.
>> For me, it was cuz I did all >> for you. It was >> I did all that. What? I You did all the moving?
>> Well, I prepared the other house while you were up here.
>> You Yeah, you did a lot for selling the old house. I did a lot bringing [ __ ] up here.
>> Um and moving up here. Um >> I But we're not talking about actually moving. We're talking about Yeah.
>> taking this job.
>> Taking the job on. Yeah.
>> This is This is still is and always will be my dream job. So once I got word that I could do this, I I was more excited about anything else. And that's that's something that not many people get to experience. Just to put it out there and be completely honest, not everyone has this opportunity. And I am very I I don't believe in luck, but lucky to have this opportunity. I was in the right place, right time, knew the right thing. Right.
Um, and that's really what it comes down to. And I had the great qualifications and and background and all that. Um, so I would say keep looking. Keep looking for what makes you happy.
>> Yeah. Do what feels right. And like just here >> if it depending on Yeah. Yeah. Do what makes do what makes you happy. And sometimes I know especially like in today today's economy and stuff like that, you know, money is always a factor. um you have to consider your bills, your family, your your future and all that stuff. Um luckily we were in a good place that if if it wasn't like this, we're not going to be rich, but this was what I was going to do and I took a chance and I was still excited. There was never any fear >> maybe for him.
>> For me, >> okay, >> Donna had all the Donna took on that that task. on.
>> Um, >> but it was it was something that I just wanted to do and I didn't hesitate. I really didn't hesitate. It was like, "Job's open. Do you want it?" "Yes, I'm I'm I'll be up there." I We didn't even know where we're going.
>> You're like, "What the fuck?"
>> We didn't know anything.
>> I know nothing. Like, what what are we doing?
>> All I know is that I was like, "When can I start?" Two weeks. Good. Putting my notice in. Get it. And uh then two weeks later I was in my my car that was packed up and I brought a whole bunch of stuff up here and got the keys on a Saturday.
My my coworker Paul Pollen met me here and gave me a key and said here I got and and Tim had already shown me what office I was going to be in. So it was great. Um but yeah, follow try to follow your dreams if you can. Yeah. I mean, if you find something that you love and and it's doable, you know, you have a family you have to take care of, you know, I mean, >> yeah, make sure you can take care of your family.
>> Yeah. You you're smart, Bob.
>> You're you're smartish.
>> But don't be afraid to to get out of a career that you know you've you've done and you've been in. That doesn't mean you can't do something else.
>> Yeah. Always look. Always look. I mean, you you have the experience.
>> [ __ ] What's uh How old am I now?
>> 53.
>> 53. Am I 54?
>> 54. I'm 54.
>> You turned 54.
>> So I got here when I was 50.
>> Yeah.
>> It took me 50 years to figure out what I wanted to do.
>> He don't even know how old he is.
>> All right. So I was four years after where you are. I was I still I kind of knew what I wanted to do, but I wasn't there. So you can always make that change and and if you can again make sure you can take care of your family and your responsibilities and sometimes that means cutting back to follow your dream.
>> Yeah, we did that.
>> Follow your dream man. I can't I cannot stress that enough because it's so much like we we always joke we were joking today like joking the fact that I came in to work on a day off to watch a movie but also work like I still between watching Star Wars. I was in here talking to Tim, talking to Eric and doing some work and then going back because I love this job so much. Um I come in here at night. I come in here on the weekends. What?
>> My thing's behind. Thank you, Bob.
>> What'd he say?
>> Silly's just tied it up, baby. Guess what, Bob?
>> You had your quota for >> Guess what, Bob? I just ordered his jersey.
>> Oh my god.
>> Because I made a bet when I was at the Philly's game.
>> My MLB's behind. I'm so I'm backing out right now.
>> I love I love this. What do you do when Kenny is living your dream? Move it over, Kenny.
I will bite you.
>> Um, you know, it's it's >> here. Here's Amy. She's 58 and she wants to do a food truck.
>> Then do a food truck.
>> Yeah. I mean, >> do it.
>> She's she's trying to make it happen.
>> Keep your money up and and make it happen. I mean, it it's it's I will I will fight you for this job. There is so much. Understand, too, it's it's not all just investigating claims. There's a lot more to this job. Um, hey Shadowcat. Um, a lot more to this job than just investigating things like that. Uh, >> yeah, Kenny works as >> I do love it. I do I I and I do I I I want to do my best and it's not it's there's more pressure because I am like a front-facing employee. So, a lot of the what the public sees is stuff that I do. Um, and I do a lot of interviews.
Um, so I have to represent the company.
That's why I'm, you know, this is my only night in like I really let go. But otherwise, you'll see me like if I do lectures and stuff, I'm dressed nice, polo shirt, button-down shirt, um, and all that stuff. But it's it's I guess the point is like I love my job and I am definitely a company man now cuz I just I love being here. Turn around, Kenny. Donna said you whacked your head. It's out in the hallway.
It fell off like >> that. Not that is that.
>> He's still working on that one.
>> I'm still working on that. Yeah, it's it's still it's still I got a lot of junk in the trunk back there.
>> He needs to go back to Mr. Atkins.
>> Yeah, I miss Mr. Atkins.
>> I miss him. H.
All right. Thank you for your response, Kenny. I really do have combo with the wife. She is talking about leaving her job, too. Oh, well, there you go. I mean, hey, >> it's it can be I'm sure it can be scary.
I think it's just the opportunity if if it's if it's a dream job that's that's right there in front of you and you can get it, that fear goes away.
I was so excited about everything that all the possibilities and and more more than anything else like what I could help other people do. I can I can help educate people. I can help teach critical thinking. I can help people improve what they're doing already. And I was excited about that.
So that over overruled or over whatever >> trumped >> I don't want to use that >> everything that had to do with fear. I mean it was still there and I was still listening to concerns like when she brought up concerns we did talk about it and then we talked about moving too because they wanted me to come up here and that's that's a big move. Yeah.
>> You know and and >> we still did it. So >> all right good question. Good question Bob. I hope I hope it works out. I hope you find your dream job. Yeah. And your wife, too, if she's making the move.
Yeah.
>> And everyone else except for Mason because he's gunning for my job now. I don't You're not going to get it.
Although, if I ever need an assistant, I might uh I might call you.
>> There you go. You never know.
>> That's if they increase my budget.
>> Doula, am I saying that right? Doula. I think that's Doola. Yeah. What are your thoughts about the third man syndrome? I only learned about this so-called phenomenon today when it popped up on my algorithm. Is that the thing like uh people that are No. Is that >> I don't know what that is.
>> Third man syndrome.
>> Third man syndrome. Let me look it up because I think it was like a let me see. Oh yeah, I think that's what it is. Third man syndrome. The third main factor reported phenomena where individuals in extreme life-threatening danger sense and unseen presence providing comfort, guidance, and support to help them survive.
>> What's it mean? Say again. Like put it in English for me. Uh basically you've when you're in a in in like high isolation like people that climb mountains and stuff like that for long periods of time or you're in some kind of danger where it's a life-threatening thing and you're pretty much alone. You don't have anyone. There's a sense of a presence.
>> Oh, okay. I think we saw this something about this before.
>> Yeah, we've touched on this before.
>> Okay.
>> Um >> and I think we brought I brought up the same point that I'm going to bring up now. Like I don't understand why it's third man when it can't be just Yeah. second man cuz like >> where' the third man come from?
>> Who's who's number two?
>> Your conscious >> that's Riker.
>> Yeah.
>> Star Trek fans. Star Trek fans. Where's my Star Trek? Where's my Trekies? Um >> origins. The term stems from the Ernest Shackleton's 1916 Antarctic expedition where he and his team felt an extra presence accompanying them during a treacherous 36-hour trek.
>> I remember that >> it was further popularized in another book um scientific explanations. While some interpret this as a spiritual experiences, uh, researchers often view it as a psychological survival mechanism, a protective adaptive hallucination created by the brain to cope with overwhelming stress. All right. So, let me see. What are your uh thoughts on it? I think when we looked into it, because I to be honest, I haven't done a deep dive into this at all, but I can I can understand how it brings me back to um Castaway and Wilson.
>> Here, here you go.
>> It's called Third Man because the story I learned about two men both seeing a man, hence the third man.
>> Oh, so two guys saw one. So, one, but I thought it wasn't like they actually saw a third man, but it was more like the the kind of like a shadow or maybe a silhouette that they thought was a third man. Again, I have to look into it more um because I don't want to I don't want to give I don't really have a good opinion on this because I don't have all the information. Um uh a second person is you. Direction of third person is he, she, they. Oh, okay.
So, let me see. In recent years, well-known adventurers like climber Reinhold Mesner and polar explorers have reported experiencing the phenomenon.
One study of cases involving adventurers reported that the largest group involved climbers with solo sailors and shipwreck survivors being the second most common group followed by polar explorers.
So yeah, I don't know too much about it.
I think I'm I'm going to write this down. Third, >> he says uh some people feel a presence, some hear a voice, some see a man.
So I I guess it I can again I'm not I'm not a psychologist so I'm not qualified to actually do this. I'm just brainstorming here. But I would think yeah if you're in those situations where it's very very very lonely and maybe you don't get along with the other person. Like I'm going back to this original what you guys were telling me about it. Two guys and they see a third guy. Um or or feel the presence, you know, like maybe they didn't get along as as much as we think they got along and they were very quiet. And if you're on that journey and it's solitary and you're not talking much, maybe psychological issues come into play. I don't I don't know. That's as far as I can go because I'm only speculating. Um, I've never experienced something like that.
Long trips, again, I'm not I'm not like in a remote mountaintop. Um, so it's not the same experience, but anytime I've been alone for an extended period of time, um, I've never felt an exper or felt a presence near me. Um, no. No. Well, looks like Shackleton was the one to make it more wellknown, but it ended up being named after two hikers who got stranded, followed the directions of a third man who kept pointing the way. Okay. M >> cuz I remember seeing something about I think it was related to this where hikers were seeing like a silhouette of a man and they kept following it and it turned out to be their own shadow on a mist like the sun was behind them and they didn't realize it was creating a shadow on a a very uh thin mist that was on the mountaintop.
Mhm.
>> So it created like this almost like a halo effect, but then in the middle there was a shadow silhouette of a man.
Um, and because they were going single file that it looked like there was only one person up ahead and they were following that. Um, it's interesting.
It's really interesting and this is the deep dive that you would have to do because that's that's getting into some psychological [ __ ] right there.
>> Yeah. And and like Mason said, it's also people h it seems to happen a phenomenon when people are mountain climbing, >> right?
>> So I mean it could have something to do with the altitude. Your body's just not used to >> it's it's a harsh environment. Yeah.
you're alone >> and and your body's doing working harder because it's not used to the altitude >> and and and yeah, like you're you're >> pushing your body and you're pushing your mind because there's probably I'm I'm assuming that there's not a lot of talking going on because >> Well, they say like football players have the problem when they go out to Colorado because of the altitude of where the stadium is.
>> Train out there. Yeah.
>> They No, when they play games out there because of where Yeah. like they have a harder time like there's oxygen on the benches for them and stuff like that. So >> that's Yeah, that's when um like uh the the one >> altitude sickness. Yeah. Altitude, hunger, thirst, trying not to [ __ ] die. Yeah.
>> You got it right there, Faith. Yeah.
>> One of our assistants >> trying not to [ __ ] >> Bob. Bob. Damn it. Bob, do you remember I forget his name. the young one of the younger guys that we used to train with that became one of the uh the the not instructors but one of the assistant in instructors. Uh but he always wore one of those masks that restricted your breathing and it was supposed to simulate like a higher altitude so that you could train and it's more difficult but when you get used to it and then take the mask off you >> are ready to go.
>> Oh okay >> because now you're I think you're saturated with oxygen. Um, I did Grand Canyon over the weekend. It was wow.
>> Wow.
>> That would that'd be cool. I'd love We haven't seen the Grand Canyon flying over it to get to Vegas. We flew over part of it.
>> We never actually got >> I want to do like a a helicopter ride over the canyon. I think that would be awesome.
>> They do them from Vegas where you can stop.
>> Thanks, Bob. Yeah, Nick.
All right.
>> I see the Phillies are trying to get in.
>> Stop.
>> Next question, please. All right, moving on. Thanks, D.
>> Bring your sports into this.
>> Here we go.
>> That was a good one. Uh, Donna, what would happen if Kenny had to downsize his office >> and his collections had to come home?
Don't support his amazing collections.
>> Um, >> oh, don't like a question. So, go ahead.
>> So, um, if you think this is bad, you should see my home.
Um, I've already said that when or if anything happens to Kenny before me, this office here will just become a museum. I'm not touching. There's a very few things in here that I need um that I'll grab, but most of it will just belong to CFI. It's most of his work stuff. All the important stuff is at home.
>> So, yeah. and and he has a >> I I don't think we would be able to fit all this stuff at in the home >> because >> you should see my home now.
>> Nope.
>> It ain't going to fit.
>> I've already made it clear to uh to obscure reference man like um if I go for any reason before he retires like all this stuff just stays. Um, all the books will be donated to the the library. Um, we've already talked about having someone uh like a volunteer come in and and start cataloging everything so that if that ever happens, it's it's easier transition. But recent developments have made that a bigger job because well, I'm not going to go into detail, but it's going to be a bigger job now because of recent events. Um but uh yeah, anything else like a lot of this stuff it would probably just I have to make a list.
>> Um I still have it on my my list of lists to make um for God like all the stuff that we have home because you think this is a lot.
>> No, >> like I have not books but all the toys and stuff. I have more than this at home. Um, >> I I try to embrace it. I guess the question was uh >> I I try to keep most of it over here.
So, >> except for Well, I have my my section of the basement house and and we we compromise on on what is in our living room and dining room.
>> Yes.
>> So, I mean things get moved around. So, >> that means she moves things.
>> No, I do not. I don't move your stuff.
>> I may ask you to move it, but I don't.
>> So, yeah. And then, yeah, I'm already taking over other offices here.
I have been doing that for a while now.
So, I started giving my books away. I know I will not read them again. If Tim wants the non-fiction ones, I will be happy to send them. So, I know that we only take certain ones. We won't take just any kind of books. it really has to do with the work that we do here um across the board. So, the best thing I can say is that if you're interested in donating some, get in touch with Tim >> and see if Yeah.
>> Yeah. Like, let him know what kind of titles and then he can uh let you know what we're looking for and how to go about it. Um so, yeah, save the office for Mason.
>> Yeah. They're just gonna have to make room for him when his time comes. Yeah.
So when I when they find me dead in this chair, because that's what's gonna happen.
>> Yeah.
>> Um Yeah. Then you can take over. You can get a new chair, too. So I I wouldn't make you sit in this one. Fine line between collector and hoarder. Kenny.
>> I didn't say it.
>> Yeah. I mean, there's still open space.
What's his email, Tim? Uh is he still in here? If you you should be able to go to Timbinga or Tbinga at centerforincquiry.org.
So letter T and then B >> I N Ga >> at centerforincinquiry.org.
That should be his.
>> Let me look it up. Make sure.
>> I don't want be like getting your uh Oh, Julianne sent me I think she sent me articles about grounding, too. It looks like it might be the same ones >> that Feral Goth Girl sent me. Um but we'll see. Uh so yeah, let me see. Uh yeah, tbga ga at centerforincinquiry.org and he can give you the lowdown on that.
Good. Good. All right. What else we got?
What time is it? Oh, it's 1:30. We're doing good. Seven UFO files. Yeah, you're lame. Lame.
>> Come on now.
>> Moving on. Moving on. Every congressional hearing over the last couple years has been lame.
So lame. There's I do not predict anything is going to be released. It's going to be the same [ __ ] that we've already had.
It's just a distraction.
>> Lame.
>> That's That's all I'm saying. I imagine in Seg's live I mentioned in Seg's live earlier that my nine and 13year-old boys are attending a YouTube themed fancy dress party. The youngest is going as Seg and his brother is going as Mr. Kenny B. No way.
>> I knew you'd love that.
>> Oh, that's so cool. You got to take pictures.
>> I know. I was going to say that.
>> How do you How do you go as me? Is it Is this a Star Wars shirt and a bottle of Kraken?
cuz that would be so cool.
>> 13.
>> But well, it can be an empty bottle of crap.
>> Send me. Yes. Can you send me a picture because I would love to see how they're dressed up. That would be really cool.
Um really really That's so cool. Thank you very much.
Dano or is it Dano?
>> Dan Oxford 81.
>> Dan Oxford. Oh, Dan Oxford. Okay. Oh, yeah. Okay, Oxford, thank you. That's awesome. That's That's awesome.
>> I thought that make you smile.
>> That's so cool. Someone's going as me.
I'm a character.
>> You are a character. You are.
>> Are you familiar with >> Maya Ba? No. Amy Farah. Amy Farerafal.
Oh, yeah. Oh, sorry. Yeah.
>> Uh oh, her podcast. No, I know she has a PhD in neuroscience. um yet she appears to believe in NDEs and the like. I have never listened to the podcast. Um so I don't know what she said and and this and that. Um I know there's still people going back and forth with near-death experiences, but the more that I look at it, the more I'm like, "Oh, okay." You know, like there's the the the only possible memories are when the brain is still active. doesn't have to be conscious, but as long as it's still active, it is producing things. But once it dies, once it's clinical death, it's done. Um, if it comes back, then you get more activity and and there's a big gap between the act the the the brain activity and then consciousness.
What's going on, what's being created in that zone here. Um, it doesn't mean it's near-death experiences or or that you're going out of body or something like that. Um, so I don't I don't buy into that, but it's interesting. I mean, I don't uh I think she's also an antivaxer or was.
That would be bad. Um, that would be a shame if if that's the case, especially being somebody that is in neuroscience.
I I would be upset with that. Wait, Mason has to get in line or through my dead body first. Now they're competing for my job.
That's great. H So yeah, like Well, once I'm dead, I don't care. You guys can fight for the job. I actually I think you should have a death match. I think there should be >> Oh my gosh. Really?
>> Death match kind of thing. Like we'll have it in the parking lot.
>> Death match.
>> Maybe I'll do it before what I know.
Like >> Wait, wait, wait. Who's the one that does all the figures? The the matches.
>> Oh, spaghetti paranormal.
>> There you go.
>> Yes, we'll get him to do it. We we'll have him do a whole >> seven. Yeah.
>> Age match. Yeah, >> that's the seven.
>> That's great.
>> Oh, where's Spaghetti Man?
>> I saw the extra innings. I know.
>> He's probably sleep. They could do a lightsaber fight.
>> One gets the job, the other gets your stuff.
>> Stop giving my [ __ ] away.
>> Yeah, right. Come on.
>> No. Someone >> keep saying you're dead. all the books will be will stay here. Um, and then probably any doubles or triples, they'll they'll whoever takes over by then because I'm sure I I'm pretty sure uh Tim is going to retire before I do because I'm not going to. And then uh the toys I don't know where they're going to go. That'll just they'll be up for grabs. I I'll be dead. I won't care.
>> Thanks. I'm hoping I'm gone before you.
I really need to.
>> Yeah.
>> I need to go. I need to go. I can't. I can't. I can't.
>> Yeah. Yeah.
>> It would be easier for you to get rid of my stuff than me to get rid of your stuff.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Cuz your stuff I just wouldn't get rid of. I just walk around it. I'm like, I'm not cleaning it up.
[ __ ] But my stuff is all over the place. All over the place. Even hanging from the ceilings. Look at this [ __ ] He's got [ __ ] everywhere, guys. Like, it's everywhere.
>> Uh, yeah. Slimer. I got a pig flying. I got the flamingo. I got >> auction. Yeah, >> there's my orb.
>> Uh, there's uh Oh, Millennium Falcon.
Fire. I'm trying to point. Where am I going? There. There. There I am.
Firefly. I got the ghost. What the hell is that? Oh, it's a clown hanging upside down there. That's a clown on a swing.
>> There's another Casper.
>> There's Casper.
>> Oh god, I can't even do this. There's Casper. Oh, there's my Darth Vader.
That's from Tim. He put my face on there. So, yeah, there's stuff hanging all over the place.
I love this office.
It's not horning. It's collecting.
That's right. It's not horning yet. As long as you still walk around and it's not a path. We We had our neighbor in Philly.
>> Oh, god.
>> She was a hoarder. Yeah, big fire.
>> And we know that because for some reason she had a fire alarm, which she probably shouldn't have because it called the fire department.
>> Yeah, it went off. It needed batteries or something. She didn't turn it off and they came out.
>> They came They had the bus down the door and they said there was an 18inch path that went through the house. Everything else was stacks and stacks of newspapers and magazines fire >> and then all kinds of other [ __ ] like that is a hoarder.
>> Like they padlocked her place and they put up signs saying uninhabitable >> until she had like seven days to clean it out.
>> Yeah. The township was going to be fined.
>> Locked her out of her own house. Um >> yeah, it was pretty messed up a few times. It wasn't just once.
We didn't get along at all.
>> No, because she fed the squirrels and Kenny killed them.
>> No, I did not. Shut up. You don't say that.
>> You didn't kill them. No, you we trapped them and we moved them. But she was like >> I trapped them and that that's where our dispute started cuz I would trap them. I got a a trap from this the township and I would trap them and I would drive like several miles away and let them go in a park. Um, and then she came out and she went into my yard and tried to >> Yes. Cuz there was one in the trap.
>> Let them go. And like it, if you ever seen the squirrel cages, like you can't just pick the cage up. And even with the handle that they give you, it's a [ __ ] handle where it's a little >> Yeah, I know. They can still reach >> handle. Let me let me I can confirm that they can still reach you.
>> Yeah, they can.
>> So, she went to grab it a couple times and I kept yelling her like, "Get away.
It's going to bite you. It's going to bite her." And finally I was like, >> "Oh my god, >> get out >> or I'm going to pick you up and I'm going to toss you over the fence."
>> And and that's it. And she's like >> like that. And I took a step forward and she ran and then that was it. And then we had a few >> then we had the squirrel wars.
>> We had the squirrel wars. Yes. The famous squirrel wars where I wrote a musical about it.
>> I've never I wrote out the script. I've never actually put it to music or anything. I wrote songs and everything.
You know what? The AI now we could get that saga. That would be so funny. Yes, hoarding is a mental illness. It is.
>> It the squirrel war saga. It was >> It was good.
>> It was I mean it and I'm like living there trying to be really nice to this lady and every time Kenny saw her, he just gave her the look of death like I'm going to kill you. And I'm trying I'm like Kenny, we have to live next to them, you know?
>> So So completely off top. Do we have any questions before I go into this?
>> There's like one or two >> real quick. Um, so at one point I was home and I'm playing I'm playing video games.
I'm in the living room playing the video games and I I sit on the couch and directly across from me because the TV was over here in the corner directly across window looking out the sideyard and I see a head bob through and I'm like, well that's odd. Someone's going into my yard. I go out and there's a Philadelphia cop. I don't live in Philadelphia, but there's a Philly cop in my yard going through my gate. And I was like, "All right." I looked around, no cop car. Go around the sidey yard. I'm like, "Hey, what you doing?" And she's like, "Oh, we got reports that, you know, people were torturing squirrels back here." And I was like, >> torturing squirrels?
>> You didn't get a report. You're in Philly. You're You're out of your jurisdiction.
Your diction. Um, >> wait. What is wrong with you?
>> You're not jurisdiction.
>> Jurisdiction.
I was like, "What are you doing here?"
And she's in uniform. So, I was like, "What are you what are you doing?" And she's like, "Oh, we Yeah, we had some people." I'm like, "Yeah, who? That lady. She called you. She called you personally, right?" "Well, no, we got a call at the office." "No, you didn't."
"Nope." And she's going on and on and on. I I called my county my my touch of police >> and I called and I was like, "Hey, there's a Philly cop here trespassing and they came right out. They came right out. She was already gone. She took off in her personal car, not a not a squad car, but she took off and I was able to get her all her information um name, badge number, and her license plate number and all that." And I gave it to the the detective that came out.
>> They don't our Yeah. Our township just >> they don't they didn't get along. Yeah.
Yeah.
>> So soon as I said there's a Philly cop trespassing in my yard right now, >> they're like, "All right, we're on our way. We're on the way." Um, >> and it was like So we weren't the So the problem with the squirrels was they were just getting in. They were a nuisance.
They were getting into our trash cans.
They're eating through everything. And the problem was, I mean, we're in a residential area. It's not We weren't close, you know? I mean, the parks are a few blocks away, so like people in the chat are like, "Oh, leave the squirrels alone." But I'm like, "Oh, yeah. They were they were just eating chewing up everything."
>> We had a big Rubbermaid container so we could put the trash cans in and they chewed up the entire top of it. There were holes all over the place. Um, >> so again, we were trapping them, >> wasn't hurting them, trapping them and moving them to another other thing. So I was just trying to get rid of the the ones that were causing trouble. And we tried everything like the moth balls and all that stuff. Everything >> we tried it all like naturally, you know.
>> So, um >> but yeah, that that's >> but it didn't help that the neighbor was feeding them and like it wasn't just squirrels. Like we would have raccoons and possums and skunks up on her porch at night.
>> Weird cuz it's like in the city. We were right outside Philly and it's just not you don't usually see them things um in in that area. So, it was just uh it wasn't that great. It w and I was trying to make the best of the bad situation and then she's our she she was just annoying. I'm so glad we don't live next to her anymore.
>> Yeah.
>> So, anyway, >> I definitely want to see this Squirrel musical. We definitely >> I'll see I'll work with uh maybe I'll work with some people and see if we can get some of the uh >> because it would be interesting. It would be really funny. pull that back out again and put it through music >> because I think I I wrote all the lyrics and then had like certain songs in mind.
So it was like sing this to >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Just because of the rhythm of the >> Oh man. All right. What else we got? We got anything else?
>> Uh let me see what we got. Um oh here's Bob.
>> Where is the remote viewing challenge?
Oh, I've been asking for months. You're afraid of someone getting incorrect answer. No, actually I was supposed to take it out today. I thought about it and I was like, "Damn it." Um, it's actually it's in the display case out here. Um, I just keep forgetting each time I do the show. I keep forgetting to do it. So, I will You know what? I'm not just going to put it in my notes. I'm going to put it on a sticky remote viewing challenge.
All right. So, hopefully we're going to put it up. Where are we going to put it?
We're going to put it right in front here.
>> Kenny's got to dig it out. He's got a lot of work going on. So, maybe maybe not.
>> I'll try to remind him for next week >> as as far as I know. So, for next week, there should be we should be on schedule and do a show. There might be something that comes up because I know we have certain people coming here, which again, I don't want to go into detail, but we're having people visit that I might be helping do certain things and I might not be available, but 99% sure I will be here. Uh, so we'll uh we'll do the remote view viewing challenge next week and then hopefully we have uh I've been talking to a guy I know we were talking about infrasound like uh like two weeks ago or something like that and I have a professor Rodney Smoltz that wrote a paper and I think I showed it. Um so I got this. He gave me the paper. I haven't read it yet um because I've just been too busy but I sent him some dates.
he's gonna he agreed to come on the show and talk about infrasound and other u paranormal topics that he's into and that he's he's tried to test. So, I'm looking forward to that. That should be interesting. Um yeah, I mean I'm excited about having him come on and really expl the explanations and the science behind infrasound. Yeah. Um >> Dr. Oh, yeah. Cat Max has met them because didn't you go on a ghost hunt with him or was that was that something different? But you went I know you went to the the the university. Um but yeah, I'm looking forward to him. I know I've worked with him. I worked on with him on one test. Oh, it's his class I talked to. Oh, yeah. Cool. Cool. Yeah, he seems like a nice guy. I've only met him through Zoom when we've done some of the challenges here, the paranormal challenges. So, I'm excited to actually get a chance to sit down and talk to him. So, that'll be fun. Uh anything else? Any other? What is the remote viewing challenge? So the remote viewing challenge is based on the concept of remote viewing where people have claimed to be able to see objects in distant locations, remote locations. And even if they're in a box or in a building or something like that, some of them have claimed that they can see it as long as you have a target ID number on it.
Apparently that's part of the process.
So, I have a box that I put a um a random object in and I lock it up and it's all blacked out inside. So, no one knows who what's in there except for me and I have a padlock on it cuz I don't trust anyone.
>> He doesn't trust me either.
>> Yeah, Donna doesn't even know what I put in there. No. So, and uh I used to put it on the show and have it in the background and say here, you know, there's something in this box if you want a remote view. And it was more like fun slashserious because if people seriously thought they could do remote viewing, they could try it. But everyone else could do it for fun. I would shake it in front of the camera and in the microphone so that you could hear that there was something in there. And then I would put it back and say that, you know, like you have to give me a description of what's inside and not just like something blue and >> Right. Right.
>> You can't say air because that doesn't count. So many people said air or darkness. Um, you have to give me a description like the shape, the colors, uh, texture, stuff like that. Like actually describe an object and give me a guess on what the object is because that's how it works. Um, and then uh, if they win, they got a prize. And one person has won. One person did win it.
And we confirmed afterwards. We talked to them. She said that she it was a completely random guess because apparently I had talked about Godzilla >> like two weeks prior. So she guessed like a Godzilla toy and that's what what was in there. So I try to make sure it's not something that you obviously see in the background because some people might notice that something is missing and be like, "Oh, I'm going to guess that." So um it's fun. It's more for entertainment. It's not an official test or anything like that, but it is fun and people can win a prize. Yeah, you're like giving stuff.
>> We've had fun. We've had Yeah, we've had a lot of fun >> with that. So, um Oh, let me [ __ ] I got to write down I didn't write down um >> that. So, Sarah, I totally didn't write down the winner.
>> So, Sarah, >> don't tell me cross up.
>> I got it. I don't worry. I got it.
>> So, what did she win? She won the uh the bookmark, right? Yeah. Okay.
>> All right. You want to spin the wheel again before we go?
>> No, there's a question on the screen.
>> Oh, okay. I've been happy to I've been happy to see Joe Nickel get a lot of his credit for the work that he did in research has been used by the Mistorian, popular YouTuber. What do you think of big YouTubers who cite your work? Um, well, I come across it a lot and and I appreciate it when it's used um as a tendant. like if they use it in the right context, that's great. Um, and I love it. I've come across people that have um used work without asking. So, I don't know. I I don't I don't mind if they reference the work. I actually encourage that. Like, if you can reference what I did and it helps you, by all means, do it. Um, I have caught some people uh like copy my work and and like plagiarize and put it out there as their own and I've called them out for that.
Um, but if you if they can reference stuff that I've done and it helps them understand something better or helps their audience understand better, great.
I'm all for it. You know, that's that's why I'm here. like I'm here to help educate people, to help pass on information, to help for better understanding and that this and that.
So, if it if it does help, great. I'm all for it. Um, you know, on the other side of the coin, if they're like, "Oh, this this bastard, he's he says this and that and he references the work and then totally trashes me, I'm going to listen to it, you know, to see if they have points.
Maybe they make a point, you know, maybe I did something wrong. But if it's just to [ __ ] because, you know, I don't I don't share their beliefs, then uh you know, oh well, what are you gonna do?
It's out there, Adrien Giggles and I reference you when we give talks all the time. Oh, thank you so much.
>> That's so funny. Like Giggles will send me something and say, "Hey, I talked about you. I did a lecture." And it's it's when she's talking about like haunted houses and stuff like that, she'll bring me up. So that's nice. I like that. It is nice. I try I try not to let it get to my head, but it's >> You guys don't help.
>> It is really nice when someone finds your work good enough to to reference and to talk about it. It does make me feel good. So, yeah. Thank you everyone that does that. Do you think aliens would like bacon? Yes. Sports? No.
I see you're trying to sneak that in.
>> Uh, I didn't I didn't not write it.
>> Uh, all right. Is that it? Are we good?
>> Yeah. I don't know. Um, Sarah, I didn't if I didn't put the UFO question up. I didn't I didn't see it. So, >> yeah. Put it up again and we'll answer it. We'll we'll try to address it now.
>> Um, >> before we go.
>> Yeah.
Uh, paranormal engineer.
These aliens sound a lot like Kenny, >> don't they? Right.
>> Listen, you question. I wish I had confidence to interview you. Why don't you have the confidence? You have the confidence to put it up on screen.
>> Yeah.
>> So, if you put it out there, just do it.
Send me an email. And >> Amy wants to spin the wheel. We can spin the wheel while we're waiting for the question.
>> Let's Let's All right. Let's see. Uh, >> we can spin it one more time. Right.
>> That's not what I want. That's what I want. There it is. So, let's do hashtag.
What? What? What? What do you think?
What do you think?
>> Uh, hashtag. Looking around trying to get inspiration. I see you do that.
You're like >> wheel.
>> Wheel wheel.
>> We're spinning the wheel.
>> All right.
>> Sports. Bob says sports.
>> That I was going to say Phillies, BOB, BUT I HESITATED.
>> NO, I'm not doing sports. I'm not doing that. I can't do that wheel. We're doing wheel.
>> All right. Hashwheel.
>> Spin it, baby. One more time.
>> Welsh wheel.
>> Lars in.
>> If you want to win a prize, if you want to win a a chance to spin the wheel.
>> Yes, >> because there's always a chance that you get a Zack Baggin, but it doesn't really matter because Donna overrules.
>> I usually do.
>> I depending who it is.
>> S, don't worry.
>> Look, everybody's going in. Good job, guys. Everybody's awake.
>> Just get in there. That's right.
>> Yeah. Don't be shy. I mean, confidence is something that that builds over time.
So, I mean, I I >> I went from this Well, I I ended up, but in high school, like I'm I I couldn't get up in front of a class and talk.
>> Um, after high school, I was so scared of getting up in front of people and talking. So, wheelie tie.
Oh my god.
Ah, Bob, >> I love you, Bob.
>> Feelings better freaking win.
>> Yeah.
>> How many we got? Put the thing up on the screen.
>> If Zach comes up, Kenny gets spanked.
What Tim?
>> We don't This is not that kind of show.
>> Yeah. Yeah. We're at 28. We're at 28. I know. There's 70 people watching. Come on.
>> Come on. We can do two more.
>> 35. 35. 35. Lurkers out there.
>> 30. Put up the screen so we can see.
>> All you lurkers that are just listening.
Yeah, it's time to >> #wheel ite.
>> Wheel.
>> There it is.
>> Wheel. 28. 28 people. Come on. There we go.
>> Like and subscribe while you're waiting.
Sarah, where's the question? Put the question in there, >> Sarah.
If I missed the question, put it in because I'm not going back. There's no way I can go back.
>> Yeah, there's too many. It won't let us go all the way back.
>> Yeah, I'd be here all night. So, if I missed it, you need to retype that.
>> Come on, guys. Free stuff. That's right, Amy. It's free stuff. 33. Two more. Two more. Two more. Two more lurkers. Two more lurkers.
Two more lurkers.
>> What the hell's going on with the Phillies, Bob?
>> Uh, we don't know. Give me, give me, give me, give me, give me. UFO files.
Yay or nay? Nay.
Oh, I thought No, you know what? I think somebody else asked a similar question.
I think I think Joe put it up there or we did we did answer it. So, I I I say >> nay.
>> Nay. Because it wasn't yay or nay. It was like lame.
>> Um Oh, >> like good or lame or something like that. And we said lame >> because I don't think you're going to get anything. Um, again, like I I've gone over I'm well acquainted with the congressional hearings because I just I I wrote everybody's chapter on that for someone else's book. Um, so I I read through all the transcripts. I've gotten a lot. There is nothing >> that's worth reading in that. It really isn't. Um, a lot of [ __ ] a lot of uh sidest stepping, a lot of uh he said, she said, maybe, could be, might be, whatever. Um, >> are we at 35?
>> 35. There we go. 35. Here we go.
>> And >> go. Oh, get the chithat box out.
>> I'm getting I'm getting it off. I'm getting it off. I'm getting it off.
>> Who's going to win? Who's going to spin?
Who is it going to be?
Ashure reference, man.
Oh, damn it.
>> Tim.
>> Tim won. Tim won. I'm team blame. I blame everyone else than myself. Nice.
>> Binga boy.
>> Do you want to spin?
>> Rig.
>> Give it to Donna.
>> I don't want to spin.
>> Let's do it again. Just hit the button again.
>> Hit what button again?
>> Can't Can't we just play again?
>> I don't think I can. Oh, draw again.
Wait. Yeah. Let's draw again.
>> Oh, >> there you go. Let's draw again. Come on, guys.
>> We'll still give Tim something. We'll give Tim something.
>> Yeah, we'll give Tim something.
>> Give him something different.
>> Oh, there you go. New review. Guess who's going to have to talk to Kenny?
>> I don't have confidence. Oh, what if he gets co-host?
>> Let's rig the election.
>> Oh, no.
>> So, all right. Lou lose reviews, you won. So now what we're going to do, we're gonna spin.
>> Kenny's spinning this time.
>> I'm gonna spin.
>> Okay. Here we go.
>> Co-host. We're looking for >> We're looking for co-host.
>> Co-host. Wait. Co-host right there.
>> Purple.
>> Right there. All right. Here we go.
>> Looking for co-host. should have kept circering in [ __ ] >> Should have kept what >> I'm talking about.
>> Oh, we'll make it around.
>> Here we go.
>> We'll make it around. OH NO, HE GOT A BAG IN. Guess what?
>> Oh, look at that. All by itself, it hit co-host. Oh my goodness. So, I can rig the election because it's mine.
You're gonna do fine. You're going to do fine. So, there we go. Um I know everyone's so excited like, "WOW, CO-HOST." HOLY [ __ ] >> I know. Now you can ask Kenny whatever questions you want.
>> I know. What are the chances, right, Joan? Okay, so uh that's that's where we're going with. Um, >> stage >> lose. LSE. Is it Lou or Lou? Um, email me. I'm going to put the email address up on there.
>> That was almost paranormal.
>> So random.
>> Send me an email and we will I never saw that going. I know, right? Um, send me an email. We will work out a date and uh you can come on and we can do that. we can do. You know what? We'll we'll have this crowd. People know you, we're familiar with you. So, you can come on this show and we can interview each other. Okay? So, it won't be so uh like like anxietyinducing, but we can interview each other. And again, like >> the the purpose of this show, the original purpose of the show, which is still what I hold true with guests, is that this is a bar. Um so, when we get together, we're going to chat. We're going to have a few drinks. If you drink, you don't have to. Um, but >> have a couple drinks, sit and talk, chat. Just like >> what?
>> Sit sit and talk.
>> What's so funny about that?
>> What is funny about how high are you?
>> I am not. I am not. That's the problem.
>> We can be nice.
>> We can be nice. Yeah, we can be nice.
You slurred. Shut up, Tim.
Not [ __ ] Give me a Maybe not. [ __ ] DID I SAY [ __ ] OH, SIT. OH, I said sit and talk.
>> Oh, I didn't say Oh, sit. My bed. Sit and talk.
>> Bathroom.
>> I mean, I've done that, too.
Hey, brother. Can you spare a square?
I'm out over here. Help my brother out.
>> Oh, [ __ ] >> Oh, man.
All right.
>> Oh my god.
>> Sorry. I just can't.
>> That interview is for pay-per-view.
>> That's going to be fun.
>> Kenny is slurrying. That doesn't happen on the show. He put a lot of rum in his >> No, I didn't. I'm not I don't feel buzzed at all. Like, >> why are you sluting your words in? You were talking too f You talk too faced and your letters like go together.
>> He wants to sit and talk.
>> Sit and talk. Sit and talk. Sit and talk. Sit and talk. That's That's >> like I That's why I didn't realize like what are you talking about? Like I said, sit and talk. But all right. Uh you know, Kenny, you don't have to show your ass to make things less.
Well, it's more fun that way. I mean, come on now. Uh, let me see. I can tell.
>> Oh, you guys when someone starts talking to you when you're pushing all >> Oh my gosh.
>> Wow. This is getting graphic.
>> That's why you don't read, Kenny. You're not supposed to read this, though.
>> Yeah, I'm not supposed to read it. All right. So, hopefully you got the email address. send me an email and we will talk back and forth and uh figure out when we can get you on and uh you >> Yeah, it'll be fun. Yeah, >> it'll be a lot of fun. We can we can do like pretty much when we do this, it's like we'll do it like just a regular guest. We'll we'll talk the first hour.
>> Yeah. And nobody even has to ask you questions. It'll just be you can interview Kenny. That could be >> interview me if you want. And then I mean we can break it up and do questions from the audience. So, uh, yeah, we'll we'll figure it out. No worries.
Talk back and forth and sort [ __ ] out.
There you go.
>> There you go. There you go.
>> There you go. Uh, that's Oh, that's cool. I didn't realize it. You see that? That it darkens the uh like comments.
>> Yeah. Is that because I hit it?
>> It shadows because you put them up on screen like put that one up. It's a lot of That's nice. It was nervous. Oh, you nervous. But then Yeah. Like see how it's shaded now? That's cool. Like the comments that are on the side that we see >> once we click put them up on the screen, >> it shades them >> a little bit. It's a darker shade so we know that we put that comment up on on screen. That's cool.
>> Mine isn't that shaded over here, but I see what you're talking about.
>> Okay. I mean, it's not a It's just enough.
>> Well, I have I think my I have my screen a little darker, I think. So, >> all right. Oh, my face hurts from laughing.
>> I know. Isn't it fun? I mean, this is what Friday nights are all about.
>> Yeah. That's what it, you know, like we can discuss things and we can disagree on stuff and and all that, but as long as we have fun and laugh and just uh enjoy each other's company, that's what's important. Um, but okay. So, it is uh at the closing of the show. I do have some uh papers to look at over the weekend, so I'm going to try and do that. You guys uh let me see.
Lou did email you.
>> Okay, good. Thank you.
>> Um, so announcements. I will say that at the end of the month, we're on the the 29th, we're probably going to have hopefully a special show, uh, special Friday, a Skeptical Help Bar, which is not going to be here in this office.
It's actually going to be in a slightly further away location, slight like like 10 yards that way. That's about it. Um, but we're gonna set up because we're gonna have a whole bunch of guests. Um, we're gonna have a couple ladies hanging out with us and I'm excited. I won't say who it are who it is, but it's maybe um I don't ladies fright. Um, truth or demons and a couple other people.
Hopefully everything goes right. If everything goes right in their own time, um, we're gonna have a good time. I'm I'm really looking forward to that. And then let me see after that >> the big thing is June 11th to 14th is SYCON.
>> That's our big science conference. It is here in Buffalo. If you haven't gotten tickets, what the hell, >> right?
>> You know, like >> like let's go. What are you waiting for?
>> You're gonna the the two tours?
>> Yeah, Laura. I'm waiting for you.
>> Yeah, Laura. Laura's going to be here.
>> I ate all those c those cookies.
I took him with me.
>> She did. She took two of the packages.
>> I asked him if he wanted and he said, "No, go ahead." And I left one.
>> I did. I did because I knew I was going to eat them.
>> And I I did. I >> ate all the caramel. The the >> the So >> Oh, yeah. You did >> bring more.
>> Yeah, they were so good. I'll I'll pay you to bring some more cookies.
>> Give them to me. Don't give them to Donna.
>> No.
>> Um, so >> I'm so excited, too, Laura. Can't wait to meet you.
>> Tickets. Yeah, you better have your tickets. Uh, so yeah, lots of >> Tim Tams. Yes. Yes.
>> I do know that our tours, our CFI history and mystery tours, >> whatever you got, >> there's two of them, they're sold out.
Um, so if you didn't get a ticket for that, go >> you you can't get any because that's it.
There's two of them. But I'll be around for the whole conference. So if if you guys decide to show up um or the people that are showing up, we're we're going to hang out the whole conference. All right.
>> Yeah. Leanne, get off my lawn. Come out.
There will be cookies.
>> Cookies. Yeah, >> Lars, bring us.
>> There will be more than cookies.
You just have to wait.
>> How do I get on this shipping list for cookies?
>> So, you have to show up.
>> We might rearrange something arrange something special for after the con. Oh, yeah. We might. We might.
>> Oh, for people that are hanging out.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Um if they're staying like another day or so, um maybe we'll we'll schedule a hangout. Um, but anyway, it's an eight hour drive. I'm gonna think about it.
>> Line up.
>> Eight hours. That's nothing. Come on, Sarah.
>> We can do eight hours.
>> Come on. Eight hours. Just break it up.
Take an extra day off. Break it up. Do the whole eight hours going home, but break it up.
>> Yeah. After work, do four and then get up the next day and get here.
>> Yeah. 24 hours for >> Turner.
>> That's is that that's all the flight time and and stuff. Yeah. You're coming from Australia. That's going to be a long day.
>> I can do eight hours in my sleep.
>> That's the way we feel, Joe. We do it all the time.
>> Yeah, we do. We do it a lot. Like, yeah, I'm always up for that.
>> But if you're not used to it, it is a lot.
>> Schedule more days after instead of before.
Kenny will give you an autograph picture. Stop pimping me out, T. Yes, it's more than that. Oh, wow. That's a lot. That's a lot. But I'm I'm very happy that we're going to get to meet you, Laura, and and everyone else. Um, so it's worth it. You're gonna we're gonna have fun.
>> We're gonna have a great time. So with that, um, we're gonna head out because we do have I do have a lot of work this weekend.
>> Yeah. And Donna's watching the NFL's game.
>> Yeah, Donna's getting really distracted by freaking sports.
>> I am. What's going on, Bob? It looks like we can tie this [ __ ] up.
>> What is a Paris?
I don't know because I'm not a Paris.
Shut up, Bob.
>> I think he should start having autograph photos, though. Don't you think he should have photos that people Guys, would you if you saw Kenny at an event?
Would you pay 10 bucks for an auto photo?
>> No. I I No. No.
>> You don't know.
>> I will not be charging ever. No, cuz that's just not me.
See, Tim gets >> Cat Mac. Yes. Autograph photos.
>> No. No.
>> I'd pay 750.
How about like you wouldn't even have to pay. Like would you call the table?
>> Really nation? You're you're going to you're going to >> depends on the >> talk me down. I got you a [ __ ] brick.
